You can adjust the gaming volume at any time with the convenient volume dial control. Users need to change settings on Sony PS5 to make it compatible with it. It's designed for all gaming platforms, with superior sound, comfort and style, and it's also compatible with 3.5 millimeter cables. The certified clear cast microphone is the best mic in gaming. The s1 speaker drivers are engineered to produce ultra-low distortion audio so you hear every detail. The air weave ear cushions keep your ears cool and dry. Windows sonic spatial audio is compatible with native surround sound built into windows 10 and Xbox one consoles.
👤You read the headline correctly, a cable that is lost or damaged will send you on a witch hunt through the depths of your imagination. Steelseries decided it was a good idea to make a strangeusb cable offspring of ausb-micro andusb-mini. The result is something you will not find anywhere, not even on Steelseries' website, as it is sold out. $10 more for shipping of cable. The Steelseries wanted to make an extra buck and design their own cable. The headset is rendered useless without this cable. Good luck finding a replacement, I found my own way. I will not reveal that here. The headset is amazing.
👤This headset will hurt your ears and head after a few hours of use. Push to talk is required when you get reverb through voip. For almost $60 and a brand name, you would expect some better padding on the ears, which would fix the issue of noise going to mic. The headset is not comfortable or functional with a premium price.
👤I bought the Arctis 1 for my son who is getting into gaming and I didn't want him to start using his headset too early, I am a gaming enthusiast and have more expensive equipment but not about to have him start on that! I was surprised by the Arctis 1. It is light and comfortable. The fit on my head and my son's head is good, thanks to the head strap padding. He likes the fact that he can connect the mic to other devices that don't use the mic, but he doesn't have a large mic in his face, so he likes the fact that he can use different devices that don't use the mic. SteelSeries makes great products, but hasn't done well at this price point. After using it and seeing my son's response, I would highly recommend it.
👤I was excited to get a new headset from Steel Series, my old one was the best I have ever had. When the SteelSeries Siberia v2 stopped working, I broke my heart. I had that headset for almost 3 years. I took good care of it. This one? I was happy to find a headset that had air weave cushions for the ears. I love wearing leather, but there is a catch. The strap on the top is supposed to fit everyone. It doesn't... The headset is too large for me and it slips off my head. It falls off if I tip my head back. I tried to adjust it but it just can't be fixed. Now? This is not clear at all. I sound distorted. I have no choice but to stick with them since I can't get another set of Siberia for less than they are. If you are using it with a PC, it is split into three parts. You have a wire that goes from the headset to the middle of the wire. It's connected to a button that's so sensitive that if you touch it, it messes with the sounds. Lowering the sounds of things. I get its function, but it is so sensitive. That is one of the things I hate about this headset. The wire has a button in it. It's fine that it's there, but why is it so easy to move? I bumped it with my elbow. Or is it brushing on my arm? I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I would shop around. I don't mind the price, but I would prefer the product was better.
The product looks new. The 90-day Amazon Renewed Guarantee is backed by this. Products that have been renewed look new. These pre-owned products have been tested. The box and accessories may be different. You can use both of these technologies to mix in music and take calls while playing a game. The Arctis mic uses the same design used by aircraft carrier deck crews for superior noise cancellation so that your voice sounds clear and natural. The sound is award-winning. The Arctis soundscape emphasizes subtle, yet critical sounds to give you an Audio advantage. You can connect your Xbox to a wireless controller and start gaming in seconds, without a cable or dongle.
👤The renewed version had trouble connecting to the Xbox One. I didn't get anywhere after I called support. After reading a lot of forums, I figured out that if you hold the power button for 15 seconds, it will reset the device and wipe out the data on it. You can pair the headset with the power button on the screen if you press it for 6 seconds. I tried connecting it after turning everything off and holding the power button for 15 seconds. No more wires! The renewed one is just as good as the new one. If the users phone is coupled with them, you can call them down to eat dinner if you want, because they won't hear you yelling at them. I think that's correct.
👤This headset is great for gaming, but it is also great for work and regular calls and costs more. Every time you use it, it will turn it on. There is no way to remove that feature. When I use it for work, it turns on my Xbox and off my headset. If you want me to use this in situations other than gaming, you should have an instant turn on disabling feature. If you want to use the headset on your phone or computer, the best thing to do is to remove your console.
👤The microphone does not work out of the box. At the same time, connected to XBOX ONE X and cell phone. The mic doesn't work on either of them. It is worthless thus far. I will come back and re- write this if the situation changes. Otherwise, overpriced junk.
👤It worked great for a few months, the most comfortable headset ever, and you can use it for PC and XBOX if you have an XBOX dongle. I have never dropped it, I always charge it for the proper amount of time, and I take great care of my belongings, however, it just randomly decided to no longer turn on. I made sure it wasn't dead by charging it with several different cords and outlets, I tried every possible combination of button presses, and even did a factory reset. I can't get it to turn on. The night before my PC died, I worked on it and it was resting on the headset hook, undisturbed, until the next day when I tried to use it again. The seller offers a 90 day warranty which is great if it works out early on, but mine lasted for a couple months longer than their warranty covered- It's CONVENIENT. It's one of the more expensive headsets on the market, and it didn't make it a year. You would expect to get a year from a $300 headset. I will never buy another item from this seller, and I will never buy another Steelseries product because no one offered to help resolve my issue. I will say the same thing because they got their money and said CYA. After months of going in circles, customer service finally found a solution for me. I talked to someone who knew how to perform the full factory reset, which worked, after I read about a soft reset and hard reset. At least it works again.
Windows sonic spatial audio is compatible with native surround sound built into windows 10 and Xbox one consoles. It's designed for all console gaming platforms, including PS5 and PS4 with superior sound, comfort and style. The best mic in gaming is the ClearCast microphone. The S1 speaker drivers are engineered to produce ultra-low distortion audio so you can hear every detail. AirWeave ear cushions keep your ears cool and dry. The ski goggle suspension headband is designed to distribute the weight and eliminate pressure points.
👤All the headsets I have purchased have had build quality issues and terrible mic quality, so I was looking for a viable option that had both decent audio and mic quality. I have given up on picking up a wireless headset because it is so expensive. I saw the ad for the SteelSeries Arctic 1 headset and it seemed too good to be true, but it was and it lived up to all of its claims. I have had no issues with the wireless connection on both the PS4 and Nintendo Switch. I originally purchased this headset for the PS4 because I thought wireless headsets were incompatible with the Nintendo Switch, but it works perfectly on both systems and the buttons on the headset work on both systems. The audio quality is excellent, it is balanced and not skewed towards bass, and the volume can be raised very high on both consoles if you want. I only had to charge them once a week out of habit, and the battery life has been great so far. The headset is light and comfortable to wear, and I use it a lot when I am on my laptop. When I switch consoles and want to use the headset on it, I have to get up and connect the headset to the console I am using, which is slightly annoying. This is a first world problem, but it is something I have come across many times. If you were undecided about this headset, I recommend you give it a try. June 2020 is an update. It has been 8 months since I bought this headset, and I wanted to report that it has held up. The battery life has held up incredibly well, and this thing is not flimsy. I have been playing games for about 6 hours each with friends online, and this thing just keeps going. I can say that one of the purchases I have made was worth it. I got a PS5 and was happy to say the headset works perfectly. The new thing I love about the headset is that you don't have to use the included cable to plug it into the PS5 because the PS5 has a USB-C port in the front.
👤Steelseries has not honored the warranty on the headphones and gamedac that broke after less than a year. I was told by Steelseries to destroy the product in order to get my warranty claim approved. I was given a code to use on the Steelseries web store, but the code only provided enough funds to replace the gamedac, not the headphones. I have been following up on the claim and have not received a response from Steelseries.
👤I replaced my Siberia 800 after two years of use when the batteries began to swell and the charging port broke. I thought it was a quality model and a chance to get a fancy one. The line out jack on the base station was useless when the Pro Wireless arrived. SteelSeries told me to push my headphones in harder and try different cables because they put a cheap jack in there. They put me through the most ridiculous process I have yet encountered when that didn't work. I made a receipt with the date visible. They required me to take pictures, break the headphones, and print out an email. I get a coupon to order a new product. Lots of work. Not happy with the headphones that cost so much.
It's designed for all gaming platforms, with superior sound, comfort and style. The best mic in gaming is the ClearCast microphone. The S1 speaker drivers are engineered to produce ultra-low distortion audio so you can hear every detail. The manufacturing date is what is on the product. The ski goggle suspension headband is designed to distribute the weight and eliminate pressure points. Windows Sonic spatial audio is compatible with native surround sound built into Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One consoles. You can easily access volume and microphone mute with the on- ear controls.
👤I bought this headset because of its reviews. The microphone in the steel series died after 7 months. Not making it to the end of the year. I don't know what is happening. No one else should have this issue. The microphone is dead and I would consider a different headset.
👤The sound on these head phones doesn't work anymore because they barely had a year to work. I thought they would be better quality, but the ones I bought for my kids held up longer than that. If you're looking for a long term use item, it wouldn't be a good idea.
👤I was looking for headphones that were metallic. I bought this thinking it would be new. The tape was opened and there was no 3.5mm line on it. Terrible.
👤I bought them for my son's birthday. The microphone is better than my phone.
👤I had the head set for about 2 months now and so far no problems. Have to see how long they hold up.
👤I would rate them a -10). They broke in less than 2 months. Go with a different brand if you want to save money.
👤The headset is comfortable after the initial break and is great for gaming on a budget. The sound stage is designed with gaming in mind and the mic is the same as the other Arctis lineup. Will definitely recommend the Arctis 3.

The ski goggle suspension headband is designed to distribute the weight and eliminate pressure points. The 2.4 grams connection is designed for gaming. The certified clear cast microphone is the best mic in gaming. The s1 speaker drivers are engineered to produce ultra-low distortion audio so you hear every detail. The next generation DTS headphones have a 7.1 surround sound. The 24 hour battery life gives you enough continuous play for even the longest gaming sessions.
👤I bought this just a few weeks ago and I was very excited because it was my first wireless headset. I did my research and decided between Steelseries and Logitech. The Steelseries Arctis 7 was praised by most review websites. Guess what? The sound is not good. I patched the headset and updated the Steelseries Engine 3 software, but the soundstage in my ears was skewed to the left. Everything I hear in my ears seems to be coming from the left. There was nothing to the right sometimes. The sound was skewed to the left when I was playing games or listening to music. I tried to change settings in the Engine 3 but couldn't. I contacted the Steelseris customer service on September 30th. It takes around 2 - 3 working days to get a reply from them. The customer service representative didn't seem to know why the issue was happening. He only suggested two options. He told me to use a magic button in the left earcup. I had to peel off the padding, find the pins on the phone, and then hold the button for a while, at which point the headset should reset. I had to hope it worked because there was no indication. When you realise you have to re-pair the headset, it works. The issue was improved by 5 degrees but the soundstage was still skewed to the left. At lower volumes, the issue becomes more apparent. The customer service rep had a solution to go straight to the process. They agreed to return the product if I broke off the left earcup and showed the serial number, after asking me to send in my receipt. I did that on October 14. They declined my RMA because they didn't have an explanation for why. Steelseries sold me a product that had a weird issue, took 2 weeks to correspond with me, agreed to RMA my purchase, and then after I destroyed it, they told me the RMA was rejected. Do not buy their products. WONKY. It's termed a Fausty. The customer service is psychic. You will be SCREWED over for no reason at all.
👤There are a few things that put me off of these headphones. Some reviews mention these issues. I returned the issues that bothered me. It's simply not worth the price. I wear headphones for 18 hours a day, 7 days a week. To help me sleep. I have a decent collection of headphones. BAT MAN, HOLY DISTORTION! The cheap-o $30 bluetooth units produce massive amounts of distortion when listening to music at high volumes. I can't believe how bad these are. It seems to do okay, but add in two or three and you can't make out what you're listening to anymore. There are two more The volume roller is very easy to accidentally adjust. It's unbelievably easy. Since the headphones or mic is so loose, it's almost impossible to dial in the right volume when I adjust them. Very annoying! There are no media controls on these. Why? A push-button volume button combination would allow media controls through long presses. There are four The ear pieces are very hot. I wear headphones that burn my ears up in a matter of minutes, so I have to remove them temporarily. The volume knob is always being adjusted by accident. There are five People can hear what I am playing and listening to, because these block out-side sound. This doesn't make sense since the ear-pads don't allow any air flow. 6) The mic disabling button turns on a light. What? There is no light when your mic is on. There's a bright red light on when you're not using the mic, such as when you're hanging out or listening to music. Huh? How does this make sense? The audio volume is 1/3 of what I own. I set the setting up to 100% to be equal to 30% on any other headset. Why? The mic is garbage. I can't imagine anyone with any sense of intelligence would think this mic is anything other than sub par. Everything sounds tinny, or incredibly digital, like using one of those $5 voice oscillators that make you sound like a robot. The speaker mesh is too shallow and will contact your ears. This makes it unbearable by itself, but combined with every other issue. I can't tell a difference between regular 2.0 phones and these. At all. You have to place these in a very specific place, or you will only hear about 70% of what it's putting out. The very specific spot these must be placed is horrible. You have to bend and fold your ears. 11) I know I said 10 was the final number, but it brings me to another point. In almost every way, these are very uncomfortable. After a short session, your jaw will hurt as the bottoms press right into the hinge of your jaw, your ears will hurt, and you will be sweaty from the lack of air. These are full of poor design choices from a company that specializes in headphones. I've owned many headsets, but this one is the worst. Don't recommend anyone for anything.
Use the portable and compact USB-C dongle to take the same gaming-grade Wireless on the go. The 2.4G connection is designed for gaming and delivers rock-solid, lossless wireless audio with ultra-low latency and zero interference. The best mic in gaming is the ClearCast microphone. The S1 speaker drivers are engineered to produce ultra-low distortion audio so you can hear every detail. The next- generation headphone:X v2.0 has a surround sound system. Even your longest gaming sessions can be played with a 24 hour battery life.
👤The headphones arrived with hair all over them. I couldn't post a comment until I chose at least 1 star.
👤My headband has two long brown hairs on it and I have a cheeto stain on one of the white earcups. It's pretty gross. The headphones work.
👤The headset drivers and microphone are in good working order. This product benefits greatly by using a software EQ. You may need to adjust the hz ranges for music, gaming and the quality of the file you are listening to. My sample of twelve people were asked if they could hear the dialogue in the microphone. The battery life use was not an issue, but my EQ setting was not higher than +7 gain. Lower frequencies with higher gain values are more likely to use battery levels faster. There are logically Button locations. The comfort level was topnotch. The max range between floors is 36'. It was easy to install. There is a free EQ application.
👤The headset is great to replace the broken corded one. The cups were open and the fabric was synthetic, but it didn't attract stray fibers or hair. These offer good comfort and sound isolation. It took a while to get used to the sound isolation, however it is great, battery life is great, I use it for Skype calls and no issues with microphone reception. The mic can be pushed into the left ear cup, and the end of the mic will turn red when muted. When the battery is dead, it can work in corded mode.
👤They died in March 2020. The decision to buy renewed may have been a mistake. I would have expected a lot more quality from a headset at this price point. Sound quality was good, after setup they worked quickly without any real issues, the mic on the headset was nice, and the volume mixer didn't give me any issues. The charging port is something that isn't good. The plastic of the case doesn't allow for a microusb cable to sit flush with it. This is the reason I died. The plug-in audio option isn't passive audio and microphone, so you still need to charge them for them to be useful.
👤I upgraded from my hyperx cloud twos to this headset. Both headsets have the same sound. The Arctis 7s are a decent upgrade from the cloud twos, they have a flawless hearing and are wireless. The earcups on this headset don't block out much outside sound. I believe the replacement leather ear cups you can purchase on the SteelSeries website would fix the issue. A great purchase and upgrade.
👤The Arctis 3 was the most comfortable pair of headsets I have ever worn, and the microphone lasted less than 2 months, but my cat destroyed my Cloud IIs and I thought I would never buy another SteelSeries product again. I decided to buy a pair of Arctis 7 from SteelSeries. The refurbished headset works just as well as the new one. The sound quality is great for every game I play, and the mic is very good.
Support and first-class warranty. Leitner products have a 5-year full replacement warranty. That is 5 times the warranty of most competitors. The battery is covered by the warranty, so it will last. Leitner Headsets have a warranty. Their US-based support is ready to help with any questions or inquiries. The Arctis 9X can be used to connect to your PC via a wireless connection. You can use the 3.5mm male to 3.5mm male cable on your PC to connect your headset. This will allow you to hear audio, but not the microphone.
👤I am a huge fan of the steel series. I use steelseries for my PC equipment. The 9x is an expensive headset that I wouldn't have expected from steelseries, and I find some of its flaws. If you want to change your sound profiles, you have to plug them into a PC and tune them to a specific preset. It takes away from enjoying a game or a PC game if you are stuck with the preset on the headset. The microphone is very sensitive and clear. It does cut out background audio interference noise. It's a huge plus to be able to pair your device with your console so you can play a game on your phone and listen to music on your phone at the same time. The dial for mixing the audio is small and could be difficult to find. The Arctis Pro is the most comfortable headset one can buy in this category, but it is not the most comfortable headset one can purchase. While music streaming is not a strong point, taking in-game audio and playing music is fine, as a headset for the outside world is lackluster. Even with preset music bass and clarity isn't quite there. The soundstage is enormous compared to what the 9x has to offer, and the first party headset from Microsoft packs a lot more punch in the audio. I believe you have a winning headset if you can catch these on a sale under $100.
👤The Artis 9X feels good, the mic is good, and it's almost as good as my Sennheuser P37X wired headset. The P37X is an open cup design, which means you can still hear someone talking to you while you are wearing them, and the 9X is a closed design, which means you can't hear someone talking to you while you are wearing them. The Plus design has better clarity and bass. The Artis 9X are heavy in your hand, and I really like how they feel. I don't feel them on my head. The material for the ear cup cushion stays cool for extended periods of time, and is a sort of fabric that is moist. I have a big noggin and they fit quite comfortably with no fatigue, I haven't tried to pair them to my cell phone yet, but that is a neat feature, you could answer calls while you are gaming as well as mix Spotify/pandora or just music I'm looking forward to fooling with that eventually. They are exclusive to the Xbox consoles because they use custom internet to communicate with the console. If you want to use your headset on your PS5 or Xbox, you may want to look into the Artis 7 that uses a dongle.
👤The headphones were refurbished from Amazon. I had no sound in my ear. I tried to fix it myself. They were put into a computer to make sure the volume was balanced in both ears. In researching this issue, it appears that it is a known problem.
The next-generation DTS Headphone: X v2.0 surround sound is a must have. You can dial in the perfect balance of game and chat audio from your headset. AirWeave ear cushions keep your ears cool and dry. The ski goggle suspension headband is designed to distribute the weight and eliminate pressure points. It is recommended that the SteelSeries Engine is updated regularly and that proper care and attention is used when operating and cleaning the headset as per the product guide.
👤This is my first product away from the Logitech brand since I was not happy with the static I was receiving from the G935 Wireless. I decided to go with the SteelSeries Arctis 7 after a while. The headset is light and comfortable, but I wish it was bigger and heavier to cover my entire ear. I think the G935 is more comfortable, but I was looking for better surround sound which it delivered to an extent. I don't have a big head, but I believe having it a bit bigger will help cover more sound and have a better surround sound. The range of the internet is much larger than the G935. The headset is not loud enough compared to the G935. It's funny that this was listed as the top wireless headset. The mic quality is okay, but if you were to look up, you would have to modify it because of the echo that comes from your microphone. It's difficult to find a list of top high end wireless headsets with surround sound without pricing. This is not worth it for the price. It's more expensive than the G935. I'm still waiting for the day. Bose makes a headset.
👤I have to say that the reviews on this headset are absolutely amazing. Let's start with the positives. It is wireless. The positives. If you want the sound to be optimal, you need to change the frequencies. Audio from TV shows feels flat, songs will have less impact. The Steel Series engine 3 is the actual application. What a mess... It feels like an incomplete product when a headset needs an additional program. I understand if people with more knowledge of headphones will enjoy tinkering with the system but it just didn't work. The noise cancelling part of the headphones makes me feel like my head is being crushed, so much trial and error to get feedback on the microphone. "DTS Headphone:X v2.0" I tested surround sound with a headset that did have surround sound and tried it on a video that had capabilities for surround. I did not work for Arctis 7. Everything is at the same volume. If you're buying this as a gaming headset, look elsewhere. There are almost no reasons to go for a wireless headset that doesn't have wires. You could go to the bathroom while it's on, but that's not really what it's about. I still have to charge it. You can take the cord off and still hear the music. You are basically putting yourself at a disadvantage by not playing games with this headset, it has no surround sound so don't bother with games with this headset. It looks nice.
👤I bought this for my son in April and it started acting up. I was able to fix it with the reset option. The mic stopped working a month later. I submitted a support ticket. If you don't hear from someone for a while, or forget to check the status, support will ask you to do one thing at a time, and then they will give you another chance. The previous ticket has been closed. You're starting over because support doesn't seem to have a clue about what's been said before. Despite being able to preview the tickets, support still asks for everything again, leading to more delays. Multiple follow ups can take days. Once basic issues are not resolved, support requests will start with asking for pictures of the box from all angles and a copy of the Amazon invoice, but then they will change to no pictures of the box, only of the headset, and instructions on how to "snatch" your Amazon invoice It should be a simple return for weeks or months. I was told to cut the headset in half. I followed up with support after I was hesitant about the device being replaced. The ticket was closed because no one responded and promised that the device would be replaced. I had to start over again. I was told that the Arctis 7 was out of stock and that the replacement might be delayed. Really? The Arctis 7 is out of stock and the warranty is up. I don't think SteelSeries will make good on the product. Unfortunately, it will be the last time we buy a SteelSeries product because my son will get the faulty device.
The 24 hour battery life gives you enough continuous play for even the longest gaming sessions. It's designed for all gaming platforms, with superior sound, comfort and style. The best mic in gaming is the ClearCast microphone. The S1 speaker drivers are engineered to produce ultra-low distortion audio so you can hear every detail. AirWeave ear cushions keep your ears cool and dry. The ski goggle suspension headband is designed to distribute the weight and eliminate pressure points. Windows Sonic spatial audio is compatible with native surround sound built into Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One consoles. It is recommended that the SteelSeries Engine is updated regularly and that proper care and attention is used when operating and cleaning the headset as per the product guide.
👤We got it on Saturday, January 4, and my son was very excited, but five minutes later he came back to me and said the microphone was malfunctioning. They send something to you broken after a long time. I will return it and ask for my money back so I can buy a new one.
👤If you're in a budget and need a good headset, buy this one. I didn't see a difference between Arctis 5 ofc and the other ones. Arctis 7 is too expensive for me and I would rather buy skins.
👤Everything about how I hear music was changed by this headset. It was a great headset, but it didn't blow me away. It is a different animal on PC. I was blown away by the high resolution mode and the music, but instead of playing games I was listening to songs. If you haven't experienced high quality music before, do yourself a favor and try it out. It is comfortable and great for gaming.
👤I wonder why I have suffered for so long without this design, because it is very comfy and has an elastic band under the plastic. Volume controls on ear, so there is no bulky, heavy control on the wire pulling on the headset.
👤I got these for my husband. He's a big fan of video games. He says they are comfortable. A good one.
👤It's too heavy to wear.
👤I will return the broken one if they replace it, but my son used it up to now and it is not working.
👤I got these at a reduced price and I think it's an outstanding bargain. I needed a headset that was all-round and these fit the bill. The sound quality is good. The sound quality of the Astro A40's is on par with those of the other brands, even though they don't have the same punch. I connected the 3's to the mixamp TR and it worked perfectly. Next comfort. They are the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. The ear cups fit around my ears like a glove and the sport band is a genius touch. I'll update the review when I have the chance to use the microphone. They are windows sonic compatible, which is a nice touch. When connected to PS4 and xbox, they are even better. I couldn't recommend them enough. I got them at a reduced price and they are definitely worth it.
👤Hemos dejado a review. "Silencio" is a word that is used to describe the micro.
It is compatible with PC, PS4 and PS5. ClearCast is a noise cancelling microphone. The award winning Arctis 7 has the same high-performance speaker drivers. The headband is made of steel and has a good fit. Use the portable and compact USB-C dongle to take the same gaming-grade Wireless on the go.
👤The headphones are great for the price and they have good noise cancellation. The way that this company designed their product to make it cheap is amazing. It has problems with walls and large objects. It goes very far for the price, but it was expected. The headphones have their own device that plugs into the computer through a slot with a ending that can be used to plug into a nintendo switch for hands on play. The headset has a long battery that charges quickly and the wire that is used for charging is long enough to be convenient and not feel restricted by the length of the wire. These headphones fit around my ears and were a relief from my last pair of headphones that just went on my head. The way that my smart phone is connected to the internet makes them not compact with my phone, which is my only qualm with these headphones. The headphones come with a wire that connects to the headphones, but it's a cheaper option to buy them in a box that doesn't have plastic wrapping. I had to look up a manual to set up the headphones, as they wouldn't work until I installed the engine on their website, which is free. This wasn't needed for the switch because the engine provided a lot of options with the headphones. My previous wired headphones broke after long use from the wire actually breaking off inside of the cord, which was highly recommended and delightfully surprised at the quality.
👤I used the Astro A10 for 3 years. I thought I would get a wireless headset that was not too expensive. The $100 price tag was not a factor in this being a downgrade. It's hard to hear footsteps clearly. This headset does not have a good sound. It is not loud despite the various sound preset in the software. It's hard to find footsteps in competitive shooters. Listening to any music is bland. It is frustrating when I am unable to hear footsteps from a direction. I can't be satisfied with the sound quality. I was better off with A10s. The only reason I upgraded was for comfort. I watched multiple reviews before buying. The $100 wireless headset price tag was a big factor in why I bought it. This thing is not worth much. The build quality is not as good as it used to be. After a month, the plush cushion on the headband is detaching from the frame. It doesn't feel sturdy or heavy. The ear cushions are not very deep. The cushions on the speaker driver get loose after a while because they are not replaceable. Not comfortable. I would rather have A10s with thick, heavy cushions, but my ears wouldn't get irritated until after 7 hours of gaming. Media controls are easy to use. The headset has a battery life and charging speed. After an hour, the headset reaches 75%. It's fully charged in an hour and a half. The battery life is great. It lasts a long time. I charge it once or twice a week. That is the only positive thing about this headset. If you are a competitive player, sound quality is not for you. If you focus and aim, you can find footprints sounds. Not loud, no base, and lack software tweaking. The wireless headset is awful to a lot of other headsets down there. I should have stayed with my A10s which have a better build quality, crystal clear mic, and better comfort for a cheaper price. If you want to upgrade, do not buy this headset. Spend your money better if you do better research. It's disappointing and frustrating that this headset is awful.
You should always be prepared to play with up to 15-hours of gaming per charge using the included charging cable. You can connect directly to your Xbox Series XS or One just like a wireless controller, and start gaming in seconds. You can connect your mobile device to the Xbox to play music and make calls while you play. Clearcast microphone. The Arctis mic uses the same design as aircraft carrier deck crews for superior noise cancellation so that your voice sounds clear and natural. The Arctis soundscape emphasizes subtle, yet critical sounds to give you an audio advantage. The 20 Plus Hour battery is a brand new Chipset designed specifically for the XBOX with superior audio quality and dual-wireless support. Compatibility: PC, Mobile, and Xbox One.
👤After 2 months of use, it constantly disconnected from my xbox. It is almost unbearable to use. I can only imagine what I will lose if I resell them. There are a few things that keep the headset from being 5 stars. It takes too long to turn on, it randomly turns off, and it doesn't like to charge with the provided cable. The headset is comfortable, good battery life, friends say that the mic quality is great, and it's easy to connect to all your devices, but the cons are pretty annoying. I will update the rating if the issues go away.
👤I ignored the reviews and bought these because they were the best for the XBOX. They are great when they work. The sound is amazing. I could hear leaves rustling. They work for a while and then distort. I owned them for the second night in a row. I think they did it five times. I'm going to buy a pair of Sennheisers because I'm giving up on these "gamer" headphones. I don't talk to anyone.
👤These headphones do something few can do, so you have to understand that. I was looking for headphones that could be used for both PC and XBOX gaming, and this is the key! It was easy to pair the controller to the Xbox. It also turned on the Xbox, which was convenient. It's easy to pair the computer with. The quality is not the same. The mic sounds terrible. If you have the Microsoft Wireless Adapter, it becomes a pretty decent PC headphones as well. The mic sounds clear and the sound is great. You have to re-pair the headphones when you switch from console to PC or vise-versa. It takes 6 seconds to pair, so it's not a big deal. I think they are great. I think these sound better than Turtle Beach 800x Elite. They are more comfortable and lighter on the head. The Turtle Beach had too many options on the headphones and the wireless base transmitter was too heavy. The only cons I can think of is that you can't go too loud with these, which will save your ears in the long run. These are the headphones that will work with PC and Xbox. They sound great. The mic is good. They are light and stylish. You have to buy a separate accessory for the headset because it is not included with the Microsoft Wireless Adapter.
👤No one likes to be disappointed in the end. Take what you want and make a decision. I was a fan of Turtle Beach for a long time but never went back after my first Steel Series Headset. After the abuse my 2 year old put my last Arctis through and many late night gaming sessions. The Steel Series performance andDurability Impressed me. I received the Arctis 9X wireless headset a few days ago and I can already say it is my favorite. They added a few improvements over previous models. It makes for a better experience. They put a red light on the mic to make it easier to see muted vs unmuted. The chat mixer/volume wheels were moved to a less cluttered area so that you don't accidentally blow out your ear drums. The ear pieces and ski strap band are great for fit and comfort. I know I can wear it for years without any issues or degrading parts, even if my spawn throws it across a room. The mic is clear and clean when it's being used. After hours of use, the battery life is not yet known. It was easy to unbox and protect the shipping. I already tested the limits of the previous model and gave it 5 stars. I know it's premature to give Arctis 9X a 5 Stars early, but I've spent time with it and it works well. If you're wrong, you'll see an updated version.
