Brand: Dreametech

👤I had high hopes for this. When you get a new vacuum, you are excited to use it after your old one to see what you missed. The old one that was $129 from target doesn't miss anything according to the vacuum. The only way to get the long vacuum attachment to pick up stuff is to go off the power. When I put it to the test, I pulled out my old one because they got stuck in the new one, but when I turned it off, they fell down. Maybe if you have all hardwood floors, no pets, and a different vacuum. This could be for you. I'm sad. I spent all of the money on it to clean my car. If it doesn't work, I will be surprised. It only does an okay job when it's in the mode that lasts 7 minutes before it dies. It's light enough to clean anything.

👤I received a vacuum today. It was charged up and started. I have a lot of dogs in my house, so there's usually fur everywhere. I decided to use this little guy to clean up the fuzzballs on a day to day basis because I was tired of dragging the full size Dyson vacuum out. It's easy to figure out how to use it. I went to the power roller on the stick. In about 10 minutes, the cup was emptied 3 times. The vacuum was able to transition on and off the area rugs with very little effort. The more dust/debris the vacuum finds, the more power it applies to the vacuum's suction. I used the shorty hose to get the crevice tool into the corners after changing over to it. Good stuff. I like that I can either open the bottom of the cup or detach it. I would recommend this to anyone. I've had a lot of Dysons, including the V10 stick, shark vacuums, and even a couple robot vacuums, and this guy will be great for all of them. The price was similar to others in this class. Dreametech!

👤I am not a professional reviewer and I love a clean home. I buy vacuums because of my allergies. I have 60 different models. I've bought every brand on the market. I found this Dreametech T30, and it was the only one that performed well. The performance of the vacuum is awesome, and I recommend it for the price. The 90 min battery life on eco mode is what I like the most. It hurts up the dirt.

👤I used to use a rainbow vacuum, but I am looking for a lighter one that is better for stairs. My list of must haves included an attachment for stairs and base boards that has a long lasting battery and can easily be put under my furniture. After it arrived, it didn't disappoint and it checked all my boxes. I cleaned my stairs out of the box and was impressed with how much dirt it picked up after I had just cleaned them. I like that I can lock the button. I don't have to hold it down. With the 90 minute battery, I am able to vacuum my house without having to replenish my battery.

The long-term use of the machine must be ensured by using Tineco solution. The non-Tineco solution will cause damage to the machine.

Brand: Tineco

👤This was not an easy sale. There is no fix for a quality vacuum and a solid cotton-head mop and bucket. The effort to use them is required. You don't use them as much as you would like. There is a My wife and I fell in love with Tineco because of that. It was amazing for spot jobs. Pets make messes. If you have tile or hardwood flooring, this machine is amazing. It is almost perfect. This is where I would list the few gripes I have, but they are not worth the effort. We just sent ours back to get it fixed, so I'm writing this review today. I hope they will take care of us in a timely manner. We use the Tineco every day. Not for long stretches, but a few minutes. It's easy to get upset about it breaking, but we now have the chance to see how they stand behind their product. So, hit the "Useful" button. I will let you know when we get our unit back. We miss it.

👤I used my first vac six times before it stopped working. I was out of Amazon for a week. I have used wet dry vacs. No experience with crossfire. I was able to contact customer service by phone without waiting. I am 84 years old and not technically proficient, so they requested a video of the problem, but for me it was hard. Customer service answered my calls and sent me a new vac. The machine is working normally. I have tile. I give 5 stars to machine and customer service. I hope this continues. After more use, I will update. There is an update. I have never written an update on anything because of the quality of the product and the customer service. It was nice to talk to humans and send your vac back and get a new one free of charge. The Tineco 3 is working great after about a month. I would like to put this under 1 star so peeople will read it. I only read the bad reviews.

👤You don't want to use anything else after using the Tineco Floor One S3 for a while. Not even the vacuum. Once you get used to it, it is addictive. It has a learning curve, but once you understand all its functions you will not. You won't want to use a mop again. Wait until you use the machine to clean your floors. There are so many... I will be brief. Simple to clean and maintain. There is no mess with the 2 rollers and 2 filters. Well thought of the customer service. It is a great machine and has few drawbacks. Remember, it is addictive. The lightest part of it is the battery. It takes at least 1.5 hours to charge before you can use it again, depending on how dirty or clean your floors are. A big house. If you don't clean it immediately, the auto-cleaning process will consume a lot of battery and it will smell. If the charge time was faster and you could exchange the battery for a new one, it would be perfect.

3. NEC180 RapidClean Efficiency Headlights Convenient

NEC180 RapidClean Efficiency Headlights Convenient

The Rapid Clean is powered by the latest motor technology. 40 Minutes Long Lasting runs for up to 40 minutes. The front of the dust cup has been moved to make it easier to reach under beds and furniture. Bright beams of light make cleaning under furniture much easier because you can see dust and debris that might have been missed.

Brand: Eureka

👤I have been through many of these vacuums. If you really use it, you need to keep replacing it. The model is terribly designed. I don't understand the positive reviews. The entire motor as well as the dirt storage is below the handle. The handle is heavy and difficult to navigate. The rest of the stick is too heavy. If you try to stand it up it will fall. The dirt storage pops open when it falls. Your dirt is all over the floor. It won't be able to charge either. The wall mount is easy to install and works well. If the stick vac clicks into place you can rest it on a counter ledge. It only works if you have a lip of the counter. To sum it up. I can't believe this product made it to the market. I can't believe anyone gives it a good review. I replaced it with a Shark vac which does everything better. Don't leave money on this one, keep looking. I am not paid for my reviews. I try to give reviews to others when I shop.

👤I had looked at several vacuum cleaners before ordering this one. I was very happy that it did everything it said it would do. I would highly recommend this vacuum cleaner to anyone that is looking for a light weight vacuum cleaner. I use it on my floors. The first time you go over the floor, it picks up trash. I can vacuum my entire house if it stays charged for 35 to 45 minutes. It goes under my chairs and sofa with ease, and I like that. The canister is hard to put back on and stay tight, but if you put the lower hook first, it will click right in place. I can't say anything negative about it. I hope it continues to give me good service.

👤The product does not stink. I mean that. It is the most useless vaccum I have ever owned. I uploaded a video. Even after I took the tube off and held it close to the opening, it wouldn't pick it up.

👤The vacuum I ordered had good reviews. The last vacuum that I owned died. I am tired of spending $200 on crappy vacuums but I am not sure if forking out $500 for a nice one is worth it. The reviews convinced me that this was moderately priced. I put it together and immediately tested it. I went around the apartment lightly. My initial thought was that the vacuum was light and gentle. There is no way it is making a difference. The device grabbed small dust particles and dog hair. I was reassured that it could do the job when I went to dump it. I was happy with my purchase.

👤It's easy to handle. The plastic on the vacuum was solid. It doesn't feel cheap and like it is about to break because it is as light weight as it is. The clear collection canister seems less solid, but that doesn't mean the rest of the unit won't abuse it. The lesser suction was not great. It would be great for cob webs and light dustings. The counter rest notch works great for me, I can't tell you how many times my broom has slid off my counter. There are pros and cons, and they include: -lightweight -sturdy -easy attachment options -long reach -run time 45 minutes - quiet. The price point for a trusted name brand is excellent on hardwood. The battery is not replaceable, there is no real charge level indicator, and the collection canister can be difficult to snap back in place. There are no connection points for attachment. If needed, they have to be retrieved. The power and speed buttons are very close and it may take a while to get used to them. RATING: 5 stars. It's use is assumed to be a quick clean up tool and not a main vacuum for heavy cleaning. This unit exceeded my expectations for a price point that I could not find in any other name brand units. I've seen horror stories about name brand sticks that cost three times as much. This will work well for my household.

4. Bissell Canister 2156A Bagless Vacuum

Bissell Canister 2156A Bagless Vacuum

No more bags to buy or change ever; Dirt cup capacity 2 liters; cyclonic action and powerful suction provide thorough cleaning; plus, no more bags to buy or change ever. You can go from cleaning carpets to hard floors with a flip of a switch. The power rating is 9 ampere. Dirt cup filters and post motor filters are used to capture dust and particles. The filters are replaceable. The cord is 15 feet long and has a button for easy storage. It's less than eight pounds. The carrying handle makes it easy to maneuver.

Brand: Bissell

👤This could be a great vacuum. It was pretty well made. The design flaw is that the floor tools do not lock or click into each other, which is dumb. They slide into each other. They can pull apart all the time. You are not on a hard wood floor when you are not on any other surface. The floor tool pops off when you pull it away because of the strong suction. A simple plastic interlocking click or lock design could have been used to solve the problem. It doesn't seem like it would cost a lot of money to add a locking/clicking feature to the plastic parts, so it's odd that they designed it without it. This will be very annoying when I need to apply the duct tape again after using the vacuum. I think that Bissell made this product bad. The bag version of the vacuum, the Bissell 4122, does not have this problem. The locking mechanisms on the floor tools and the telescoping extenders are made of nicer steel than cheap plastic. The bagless model has the same specifications, but this is for the same price. Printer companies make money by people buying ink, and Bissell makes most of their money by people buying bags. They don't make money on the bagless models so they design them cheaper and worse, while the bagging models are superior, yet for the same price. Bissell had dirty tactics.

👤Our robot vacuum does not get into the corners. I can't carry around a huge heavy vacuum, and a round vacuum can't clean a corner. The zing is entered by the Bissell. I decided to go for it because it was cheap, on Amazon, and a trusted brand. The house is made of hardwood and has carpet in the bedrooms and stairs. This thing is amazing. It's so lightweight, it wouldn't matter, because of the huge wheels on the canister base. I can pull it behind me. I use it with a focus pole and a baseboard attachment. The vacuum cleaner has so much power that it can clean your hairbrushes. My hair is almost to my waist. You can imagine. For the first time in my life, I feel confident cleaning the canister. The hubs is over the moon. It's like pressing a button and the bottom falling out. Why can't they all be easy? It would be cool if it came with long plastic tweezers to grab around the filter. I guess you can't have everything. If you need a supplementary vacuum to get your corners, baseboards, walls, windows, fans, etc. I would recommend this product to you if you have hard floors or someone in the household has long hair. It's a good thing.

👤This thing is not good. I bought it because of the great reviews. I don't think this product is the same one that everyone is talking about. There is no spin brush on the head. Good luck moving it back and forth like vacuuming requires, I just stick it to the floor. There's no way to attach the tubes or attachment so they keep falling off once you get it to move back and forth. I have to bend over at a 90 degree angel the whole time because the hose is so short. I'm short at only 5'2 and my husband couldn't use this cheap garbage. It hurt my back. I hate vacuums. I wish I had spent my money on it. Don't buy.

Brand: Bissell

👤About 8 months later. I am going to throw the vacuum out the door. The only service center near me is closed on weekends because of the broken vacuum piece. If I want to vacuum the dog hair off my carpet, I have to use my vacuum about 15 times because it doesn't pick up water. I wish I had not spent my money on this.

👤It does not stain. I have some complaints. The commercial shows water going down, but it doesn't happen. It leaves water on the floor after going back over it. The scrubbing brush holds water. A large puddle of water needs to be cleaned up after the machine is turned off.

👤I love this machine. The assembly is completed with a snap handle. I had to clean the floor in 2 minutes. I bought this unit to use. A home owner who could not do it for themselves would have to clean dried dog urine for 8 months. The machine went to work without hesitation, and within 30 minutes it was clean. It would take hours to clean this with a mop, buckets of water, and soap. This is amazing.

👤I live in a multi-cat home with dark hardwood floors. During the week, I would use a robot vacuum, but on the weekends, I would use a steam mop. It was very time consuming, but it worked. I saw this product and thought it would be great to cut my time in half. I'm not a fan. The vacuum is great, but I have found that less than halfway through cleaning, I am getting streaks of dirty water. I tried rinsing the brush with water in the tray and stopping and emptying the chamber, but it happened again after a few minutes. I have to clean clumps of wet hair and litter from the bottom of the broom. This is only cleaning the kitchen, living room, and dining room of my open floor plan house. It's gross to clean out because there is one chamber that collects both the liquid and the dry mess. I have to use my hands to get the dirty water out of my hair and litter. It's gross to pour it in the sink, but the alternative is a bathroom. I've been pouring liquid in the sink and then the trash and then the sink has to be sterilized. I think a separate chamber for liquid and solid would be ideal, but not sure if that can be designed. I don't feel like I can return it since I used it. I plan to use the vacuum part of it. I used to steam mop after. This is an excellent premise, but it doesn't work for me. There is an update. I have had this for a month and am not happy. I thought it wasn't for cat houses, but look at other reviews where it works for cats. I need to stop and get a paper towel every few minutes to get the clumps of hair off the floor because I feel like the small amount of litter particles on the floor end up getting wet and clumping on the bottom of the vacuum. I get dirty water on the floor right off the bat, so it's not a problem after a while. It happens when parts are washed out and debris is left in a compartment. I plan to call because I think my defect is mine. It's hard to spend an hour or two cleaning and then have the floors streaked with dirty water.

6. Bissell Featherweight Lightweight Bagless 2033

Bissell Featherweight Lightweight Bagless 2033

It is easy to use. It's great for quick pick ups and versatile. A stick vacuum, handle vacuum, and stair vacuum are all in one machine. There is a floor nozzle for stairs and a crevice tool for furniture. Clean carpets and area rugs. Counter tops, sealed hard floors, and low pile carpet are the surface types. The cup has a capacity of 0.67 liters.

Brand: Bissell

👤The model 2300 is being phased out. Amazon doesn't mention this. It's a special for Prime members. You can't get the replacement filter from any of the websites. The filter does not need to be replaced, according to both Amazon and Bissell. The filter needs to be washed a couple of times. If the dirt cup is made of carpet fibers or other light weight dust, it sticks to the dirt cup and filters and flies all over when you try to empty it. It's too late to return it, I found all this out when I used it.

👤This review was helpful in helping you make a decision.

👤The vacuum is small, lightweight and powerful. I bought it for my son's 2nd birthday because I don't want him to break it and he struggles with it because it's heavy for a 2 year old. I have come to enjoy this little Bissell. It is easy to use. It's light and so pulling it out to vacuum up things doesn't make a big deal. I actually do it! My son vacuums up a lot when he is playing with it. I don't attach the longer handle because it's the perfect length for him without it. I recommend this vacuum for anyone with small children, anyone looking to take the hassle out of vacuuming up smaller jobs here and there, and anyone who may have an injury or weakness that prevents them from using heavier vacuums.

👤Where has this been my entire life? It has a long handle that is perfect for little crumbs. I have hardwood floors throughout my house and only carpet in the kids bedrooms. The vacuum was large and bulky, so I rarely brought it out. I would sweep multiple times a day and still felt like the floors were dirty. Our dog took care of the problem when he decided that the Roomba was an invader. The lightweight works on all flooring types, easy to empty, bagless, and turns into handheld attachment for crevices like between couch cushions. It's not as loud as a regular vacuum and it's not as big as a Cheerios Cons vacuum. It is a little vacuum. It is expected! It's great for a quick run around the house to pick up dog hair and snacks left behind by little ones.

👤I had this for about 6 months and I loved it. They don't make them anymore if I replace the filter. If the model is being phased out and filters are unavailable, why is this a special for Prime customers? The filters that most people buy with this product are too small for me. I can't sell this at a garage sale. It was so upsetting!

👤The little sweeper does an excellent job of cleaning up the mess. The filter is very easy to change and it gets into corners. I am amazed at the amount of dog hair it picks up. The living room floor is where the photo was taken.

👤You would think it would be bad. It's great! I bought it for work. We use it over the tiled areas. It is light and easy to move around. My co worker bought a one for her home because she liked it so much. This is the light that you need. Not having the brush has been great. We don't have to spend a lot of time cutting out hair that is wrapped around it. I wasn't sure if it would work without the brush.

7. Shark Ultra Light Cleaning Steering HV302

Shark Ultra Light Cleaning Steering HV302

There is a light weight quotient. At under 9 lbs. The handheld vacuum converts to a corded vacuum for floor-to-ceiling cleaning.

Brand: Shark

👤This was a good and convenient product until the flexible tube on the base broke, as can be seen by other reviews, and even though someone on here said that rocket replaced the entire vacuum for them. I was told by the customer service rep that my 5 year warranty will replace parts if they don't have the part, but they will replace the whole thing if it isn't covered by the warranty. This makes no sense. They will replace the entire thing for free if the part is not replaceable, but they won't replace it for me because of one part that is not under warranty. I am not happy. This is year 2 and it is supposed to last longer. Stay away from this company. They don't support their product. This part should be covered by their limited warranty. What is not covered by this warranty? 1. The proper functioning of your unit is not covered by this warranty because of the normal wear and tear of your parts. There are replacement parts for sale. 2. Any unit that has been used for commercial purposes has been tampered with. 3. Damage due to misuse, abuse, negligent handling, failure to perform required maintenance, and damage due to mishandled in transit are some of the causes of damage. 4. There arequential and consequential damages. 5. Defects are caused by repair persons not authorized by SharkNinja. When a repair person is not authorized by SharkNinja, there are damages caused in the process of shipping, altering, or repairing the SharkNinja product. 6. Products were purchased, used, or operated outside of North America.

👤This device has a cord. I'm not spending $400 on a stick vac that may or may not have as much power as this one or a run time of 15 minutes per 4 hour charge - I'm taking a break. I've had this for a couple months and I love it. We bought it because we got a puppy and she's not that bad yet, but we use it on our hardwood floors and carpeted living room area because she tracks in grass anddebris when she's outside. I'm very happy with the purchase of this product. It's easy to put away. It's a nice job on the carpeted areas. This is a great purchase and I will recommend it to anyone who asks. * The boy is still kicking and the dog is growing up. The device does its job over and over again.

👤The product was great until the motor stopped working, and customer service wouldn't address the issue after contacting three times. We will never buy another Shark product.

👤The product was purchased on June 10. I was using the vacuum today. The power head is malfunctioning. Called Shark to inquire about warranty coverage. The power head is not covered by the warranty and the vacuum is not warrantied. He said that they offered to sell me a new power head for half price. I paid $150 for the while thing. I told him this was not acceptable. He agreed to send me a new power head. I think I'm better than nothing. The buyer should beware.

8. Miele Classic Suction Canister Graphite

There is a 7-year manufacturer warranty on motor and a 1-year manufacturer warranty on parts and labor.

Brand: Miele

👤This is the best vacuum I've ever owned. It is worth every penny and some. The bags Amazon shows as the most frequently purchased together with the vacuum are the wrong ones. The FJM bags have a red collar. Not blue. There is a red object. It's a good thing. You will never regret this purchase if you have the proper bags on hand.

👤One of the best appliances I've ever used was the vacuum. The machine is well built and designed. It's all good, from the smooth handle to the quiet operation. When you turn it on, I like the way the motor quiets down. It makes our Dyson sound like a loud plastic trap. How does it clean? It's better than anything else I've owned. I don't think anyone will be disappointed with this machine.

👤These are the best vacuums I have ever owned. Life has never been the same since I bought the Miele Olympus model a few years ago. I just bought this model for my home, and it's just as amazing. The extension is long enough to vacuum my vaulted wood beam ceilings. I tell my friends how easy life is now because of a vacuum. It's hard for people to understand why it's such a big deal until they own one of these. You will never have to buy another vacuum in your life, these last forever, and they never lose their suction, so be afraid of the cost. I'm not sure if I can believe I'm writing a review for a vacuum.

👤I have had the first one for 4 years. The vacuum is still going strong despite me abusing it. I used it for everything, and my wife was mad at me. I bought a second one for our inside car, because we don't have a car. The wife likes the color. The second one was used for the cars and garage. The vacuum made by Miele is very reliable. It's a good idea to recommend to someone who wants a powerful vacuum.

👤I received this yesterday. I love the vacuum. I had an appliance for a long time. This is even better than that heavy machine. It's nice and light. The line has the top of it.

👤I was surprised when I powered this up. It sounded like a jet engine was starting, and the power was so strong that it pulled my rugs up from the floor. The canister is easy to use with three wheels, and the cord length is great. It is possible to clean kitchen, two bedrooms and entry hall without changing the plug. The head is adjusted easily with the control on the carpets. The width of the parquet head is great, and it's easy to use, which is great since my old Dyson couldn't fit into many crevices and corners. You can see pet hair and debris being pulled in from a distance before the head gets to it. The machine is a bargain. Dyson is put to shame by it.

9. Miele Compact C1 Canister Obsidian

Miele Compact C1 Canister Obsidian

1,200 W is the high-suction power. The pet hair and lint can be removed with a brush. The telescopic tube has a working height. Large areas have a 29.5 ft operating radius. Soft parquet brush is gentle on sensitive hard floors.

Brand: Miele

👤I have 3 sirens and 3 daemons, if I only had one I would not have them. There are some things you can do to VACUUM that are not related to cat litter, such as a deDICATED bag and a row to trash. Don't take any risks. The upRIGHT DYSONS are more difficult to change than the EXPENSIVE BLINDS. The on board accommodations are more advanced than the ones on the ground. It is better to clean the Dyson than it is to mess with it. The price of the C1 is too high. The prices of the bags are too high. They can be re-USED 5 times after a simple surgery. It may not be as strong as Dylan. It can perform on the carpet as well. The C1 has more hard edges and brush paint than the Dyson. It is possible to fix casement from home casement with self-sponge shutters. There are no simple Dysons to connect to the Miel Adapter. The CYLINDER VAC can be washed.

👤This vacuum is perfect for us because we live in an 1100 square foot town home. We have tile and hardwood floors in most of the house. I can make our broom an outdoor tool now that the hard wood floor attachment is perfect for cleaning up debris and dust off the floors. The turbo head is maneuverable enough on the stairs to vacuum the stairs, and it does a great job on our low pile carpet. The vacuum is portable and quiet, and has the right amount of attachment for our needs. The upright Salsa was too heavy and big to be used in our town- home. I would recommend the C1 Turbo Team to anyone in a similar sized home, and of course, Miele is unparalleled. I don't care where this thing is made, it's still a Miele product and they make amazing products.

👤The new model is lightweight and impressive. I rely on this efficient model more often than I use a robot. I like using it and I don't like housework, so it makes the chore go by quicker. The low noise feature and the HEPA filter are great. It takes 50 hours of sweeping to get a new bag and filter. I use a product that is lightweight and easy to drag behind me on hardwood floors. It rolls over transition bars. The steel tube is strong. The sweeper has two heads for hardwood and carpet. It is easy to maniupulate a tube. Every tool clicks together. Stores can be found in the hall closet. It's good for the middle of the road price. I think this is a great idea.

👤It seems to filter well, even though it is much smaller than I thought. The quality of the tubing and the latches, the hose material, and the hose attachment are all very sturdy, as you would expect from a Miele. The power button is on the canister, which is convenient, but I knew that going in would not detract from the points. The reason for 4 is that the heads are not as flexible as on other cleaners that are much cheaper, as 1 star off is a bit harsh. This is an expensive product. They don't articulate much for lying down flat or getting into tight spaces under beds and couches. The small head is at a steep angle, which makes it hard for a good vacuum connection with the surface you're cleaning. I went back and forth between the smaller one and the bigger one, which was cheaper, but I thought the bigger one would be more difficult to clean, and would be more expensive. When I got the box, I was surprised how small it was. I thought the dimensions of the Dirt Devil would be a bit bigger, but they are almost the same size. It's easy to carry and move around. The bag is small. We have bare wood floors, but we also have some carpet and a new area rug, and the bag fills up in just a few runs. The bags are expensive, and they have a large plastic accessory that is bad for recycling. The air-powered beater head is more effective than the Dirt Devil, which got bogged down. We have a short-haired dog who does not shed and this picks up his hair very well. I'm happy with the smaller one, but may upgrade to the larger one with the electric beater and power controls.

Brand: Bissell

👤I was excited to use the vacuum. I've owned a few vacuums from Bissell and currently have two of their lighter models. We have three floors so I thought this would be good for the main floor and I could keep one of my others upstairs and the other in the basement. ASSEMBLY was easy to put together and did not require any tools. I think the instructions could have included larger photos, but it could be that my older eyes made it hard to see the small photos. It did not take long and was pretty intuitive. The parts were sturdy enough for the price. There is a The carpeted floors are vacuming. It was very easy to start vacuuming. You can pull back on the vacuum by holding your foot on the front, instead of pushing a lever. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing since I have never had a vacuum without a lever and it's hard to keep it upright when I want it that way. The vacuum has a base that makes it easy to twist the handle one way. It is nice to maneuver into small spaces. It did a good job going under furniture. It's a little heavier than I'm used to but it's still easy to maneuver around. You can get through the job a little faster if you use the wide cleaning path. I go over each spot a few times to make sure I get as much dirt out of the carpet as possible. I like that I can turn the brush roll on and off. When the handle is upright, it turns off. It's important because it means you don't need to use the extra power to turn the brush roll when vacuuming a hard surface or using the tools. The brushroll is advertised to not collect hair. I have long hair and this was intriguing. There was a lot of hair in the dust bin after vacuuming. If you look down and can see hair on the roll, it will come off if you go back and forth on a clean carpet area. I could not test it because I have not had this happen before. The brush roll is larger than my other vacuums. There is aCTION. The handle of the vacuum has a switch that can change from low to high. It says plush carpet instead of low carpet. The lower the carpet setting, the higher it is. This might be confusing for people who are wondering what setting to use on a bare floor. The low setting lets air in. I keep mine on a higher setting. I don't have shag carpet, so that seems appropriate. I was not sure if the power of the tools was better than the vacuum on the floor. I thought my carpet was cleaner than I thought. I was given a chance to try it out because I accidentally dumped something on the carpet. It did a good job with that. I dumped it out again on the hardwood floors to see if it worked out. I think because this has a wider path when I put my hand under it, it doesn't feel as though it's all that great, but it does have a larger opening than my other vacuum. I put a paper over the bottom to make sure it was in place. I was curious about the pull out extension wand as it seemed like it would be easier to use than my other wand, but as it turns out, it's a little cumbersome to use. The tool can be used to crush. The light on the end of the crevice tool was cool but it made the small part of the tool bigger which negates the point of a tool designed to fit into a crevice. It would be great to reach above to see the cobwebs. You have to pull hard on it to reach a tall ceiling because the machine keeps the accordion pleats from fulling. I had to use two hands to pull it out of the 8 ft ceilings. The crevice tool adds some length to the whole thing. I found it awkward to pull out the wand from the handle because there is a hook that you can use to keep your cord up. The main part of the vacuum and the other part of the hose have to be removed when you pull the handle out to get something in a corner because it's attached to the hook. I had to not only press the release button but also disengage the other two things when I pulled on the thing to get it out. It's not easy to just pull it out and put it back in its place. There is a tool and a sledgehammer. The vacuum has a brush that is good for stairs. The pull out wand isn't very good to use and there is a way to detach the hose so you can use it directly. I was disappointed that there was no place to store it on the vacuum. I have a place for the wand, a regular brush and the turbo brush in my smallerbissell, but there is no place for the brush on the vacuum. This means that I won't be able to use the turbo brush as much. It is easy to empty the bin. A lot of dirt gets stuck in the upper part of the bin. You have to tap it to get more dirt out. I accidentally hit the button to release the bottom trap door and dumped dirt all over my floor because I was tapping it to see how much it picked up. Next time, I will make sure to hold it over the trash can. There are filters and maintenance. There are two different filters in this vacuum. You can wash it and it needs to be changed every 3-6 months. I am not sure if I have checked the price yet, but I am pretty sure it will be a penny. You can use the optional Febreeze filter to spread the scent of febreeze instead of using the washable filter. I don't like scent so I didn't open that. It's an interesting option for people who like that sort of thing. The dirty bin needs to be cleaned. The dirt bin where the fan blows the dirt around is something you have to clean or the vacuum won't work, that's the thing I'm not crazy about. You can wash it. You can't take that apart to clean the inner chamber. I can disassemble the vacuum parts for cleaning. I have to wash it or I can see screws in it, so I hope I can get everything out with the water stream. I have a feeling that this will be an issue because the instructions do not suggest removing the screws. It seems that he will run. A little hot. When I first used it, I only vacuumed for a few minutes and when I emptied the dirt bin, it felt like it was hot in there. The manual says that there is a shut off feature if it gets overheated. I am not sure how long I would have to vacuum for that to happen, but I am hoping it won't become a problem because it was mentioned prominently in the manual. If this happens, the light will stay on, but the motor will turn off, and you need to check the filters and hoses for a problem. It will not turn back on for about 30 minutes. There is a cord. The cord on this vacuum is longer than my current one. I don't have to find a closer outlet to plug it in because I don't have to keep unplugging it. This is a great upright vacuum that has a lot of different features for a low price. It has some things I would change or improve, but it's a lot of vacuum for the money. Thanks for reading my review.
