👤I have had a vacuum for 6 months. I had to send it to Dyson for repair as it keeps on throbbing even when the vacuum head is malfunctioning. Even though they say to clean the filter every few months, I have to take it out after almost every vacuum. I have to use my stand up vacuum again because I can't vacuum with this. After getting it back from Dyson, the pulsating continues. I am very disappointed that I didn't have it work. Not looking forward to having to send it back. I wish I didn't buy it. As a stay at home mother of 2, I was having a hard time keeping up with vacuuming the house. We have a Dyson that is 8 years old. I hated vacuuming because it took hours to do our house. Being our home is mostly hardwoods, I was using the extension with the hard floor attachment almost exclusively. It is loud and cumbersome. I hit the buy button even though I was appalled at the price tag. There is a That is where buyer's remorse ended. It has been great to vacuum. Our older Dyson was a major improvement. It is light and not very loud, which is helpful when you need to clean up after your baby. So far. I was able to vacuum my entire 2000 sq foot home on one charge, but I find myself doing a few rooms every other day because it is so easy to get out, vacuum, and put away. I found low and medium suction for hardwoods to be adequate for my needs. I don't need max suction. There are a few things that Dyson should address to justify the price tag. 1. The hard floor attachment from my older vacuum is not compatible with the new design. The motorized head does a good job with pet hair and dust bunnies. 2. The battery is not replaceable. If you run out of charge half way through cleaning, you can have a back up battery. If you vacuum in sections instead of the whole house at once, it's not a big deal. 3. The hanging dock only has a couple of spots for other things. This one has more than one attachment. I had to put the other 2 in a cupboard. It would be great to have everything in one place. It was well worth the purchase. It has made the husband vacuum on occasion without complaint. I would call it a victory.

👤We got the V10 animal, and we couldn't be happier with it. It has been wonderful, but it is cumbersome to carry up and down stairs. The v10 animal is portable. It seems to do the same job when you factor in how much I use the V10! It is great for a quick run around the high-traffic areas or a deeper clean of the area rugs and hard floors. We have rugs that work well over both hardwood and tile floors. The hardwood floor attachment is the only difference between the animal and the absolute, according to another reviewer. It has several settings, from a quick run on the lowest setting on the motor with the roller head at the highest setting, to raising or lowering the openings on the head for different strength, to suck up bigger debris. You have to hold the gun down to keep the motor running. I don't think it's a big problem since it doesn't run that long, but after I do the whole upstairs, my finger does a bit. It is light and quiet for my 4 year old to use, and my 6 month old isn't afraid of it. There is a rubber seal that slides down the middle of the canister to help push more dust off the middle cylinder. I was a bit worried that I might break the canister when I tried to empty it the first time. I haven't had a problem opening it since then. It is a major improvement over the 2008/9 dyson ball. I loved our old Dyson.

Brand: Dyson

👤The vacuum is easy to use. I like the fact that it's battery-operated. I see why people love these. My two small setbacks are. I have to empty the canister often. Every 30 seconds or so. We don't vacuum daily because we have two cats. The battery life isn't as long as we'd like. I would get the 'outsize' model for our needs if I did it over. For homes without pets, people who vacuum frequently, or homes where this is a secondary vacuum, this model would be perfect. Powerful and comfortable.

👤10 min on low is when the battery lasts longer. It tells me to clean the filter. I'm not happy with this vacuum.

👤The carpets were replaced with hardwood laminate. I can easily vacuum those areas with this vacuum. The stairs are done by removing the quick connect neck. Not having a cord limits my movement. This vacuum is very good.

👤The little piece to hold it down seems to work, like everything except holding the power button.

👤I like the feature that is corded. It's easy to use and does a better job of picking up hair than any other vacuum I've had.

👤It is everything I have ever wanted in a vacuum. The ease of use is amazing.

👤It's so easy. Dyson has been improved.

3. Dyson Torque Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

Dyson Torque Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

The head is high. It is possible to deep clean different floor types without changing cleaner heads. Whole- machine filters are advanced. 99% of particles, dust and allergens are trapped by whole- machine filters.

Brand: Dyson

👤The motorhead does not spin and it took 14 days to get a replacement. The replacement has the same issue. The worst product ever!

👤Dyson's customer service is excellent. It has to be the best I have ever experienced. They are sending me a replacement unit because they don't want to ruin the engineering by using my V11 without the disc. They are reporting the issue to their engineers. I have been vacuuming like crazy and walking on the hard woods since I removed the sand from the house. I love this vacuum, it's fun to run, and the top of the unit can rest on the counter in between touch ups. If I don't have a home base there is an option, but I probably wouldn't do it when the kids are in the house. I really wanted to wait before posting this review so I could use it more, but after reading other reviews for clues I realized this is an ongoing issue and I wanted to warn others. I read the directions before I opened the box. There is a switch in the front of the cleaner head. The switch should be placed in the middle setting. It's ideal for everyday cleans to pick up larger debris and fine dust. I was excited to use this vacuum because I have never used it before, but I was also anticipating using it because I love my hair dryer. The boost mode is amazing and really sucks up the fine sand that gets tracked into our beach house, I started it and was delighted with how the different modes self adjust as needed. I noticed the brush heads weren't spinning after vacuuming. I took apart the brush head as shown in the manual, as another reviewer said I had difficulty putting the brush head sheath back on, I didn't force it. I was trying to get it to go back and have the end piece flushed. The coin screw part was on the other side. The brush heads are spinning, but I am not happy about it. Dyson customer service gave me an option to call back and they did so within one minute after I called. The woman was walking me through the steps to fix the shaft when she saw a broken plastic disc at the base of the shaft. I was offended by the customer service trying to suggest that I use a screwdriver instead of grabbing one. It was a flat head and only used to flip the coin screw cap. She immediately offered to send a new head. I was disappointed that I couldn't play with my new device as it had worked well without the brush heads spinning. I decided to use the small car/upholstery head to vacuum because it works well on stairs and small spaces. I looked to see what other reviewers had said because I felt bad that I might have broken this piece of fine technology. I was vindicated when I saw that others had experienced the same issue. The customer service didn't mention returning the cleaning head, so I decided to take out the broken pieces of the disc/ring and see if the vac works again. Also, note: I don't know if doing this will void the warranty, but I recommend calling Dyson and telling them that this little disc/ring is the culprit, and that's what they should do. I don't know if this is a clue or not. The recycle symbol was on it. Maybe this is a clue that this piece is supposed to be thrown away before it is shipped to consumers? I have two questions, one is if this ring/disc is important for function, and the other is if it will harm the motor if I don't. The second thought is if this is a part that is meant for shipping and not for removal. Doesn't sound right. I wonder because the vac is running smooth. If the above issue hadn't popped up, this could be a four star review. The beach sand, Aussie dog fur, all sucked up on boost mode, is amazing. The hardwood floors are clean. I like the screen that tells me how much battery life is left. The weight is not too heavy for a small person. There is no self standing option. I don't want this vac to fall down when I have to stop. I would like to see a charging cradle at the base. I could move where I put the base charge. I don't want to put the charging mount out in the open because my house doesn't have electricity in the small closet space. This may not be an issue for others, but you need a space with an electrical outlet nearby. I'm taking the motor off the head and vacuum stick so I know it won't fall and cause anyone to fall on the floor.

4. Dyson 967483 04 Cyclone Cordless Cleaner

Dyson 967483 04 Cyclone Cordless Cleaner

The part is a genuine Dyson part. A replacement motorhead cleaner. The models that fit are the V10 Cyclone series, V10 Absolute, V10 Animal, and V10 Total Clean.

Brand: Dyson

👤This isn't the same head, but it works. It is not great, but will do. The original head is not able to be raised or lowered like the new one so it stops when vacuuming carpets. It is great on the hard floors because we no longer have carpet. It is not good on the area rugs. When our vacuum stopped working, Dyson had no stock and I was not able to get a new vacuum because the head stopped working.

👤The product couldn't be installed.

👤I'm not sure if this is a genuine part or a knock-off. It worked well out of the box, but broke after 2 weeks of normal use. The motorhead got very hot and stopped working. My motorhead lasted 6 years. It was almost immediatey.

👤Couldn't find the same model as the original, but this one fits the V10 so I bought it. The original height adjustment was smaller and more disappointing. It works. It's still better than buying a whole new vacuum.

👤It's nice to be able to buy replacement parts when a part wears out. We use this vacuum a lot.

👤The head is fine. What a waste of money.

👤Fast delivery, fits my animal.

👤Dyson replacement part was delivered quickly.

👤It is a great value replacement and it is delivered quickly.

The bin doesn't need to be touched. The bin volume was 0.14 gallons.

Brand: Dyson

👤I got a red light when I went to use my vacuum, which was good, but the battery life is not great. I called customer service and was told that my battery is the only thing covered by the warranty, and that the motor is the only thing covered. I can either drive 185 miles to a service center or pay $108 for a new one, but since I'm under warranty, they'll give me a 20% off offer. I asked the representative if he was telling me that Dyson was not guaranteeing a $300+ product for a year, but he said there was nothing he could do. I was put on hold by him after he told me that he didn't have a manager. After 5 minutes he came back and told me that his "manager" hadn't existed before and that he would give me a courtesy battery. If anyone in my family had been in the same situation, they would have felt like they had no choice but to buy the battery for 1/3 of the original price. No one I know will be purchasing another Dyson. Dyson tech support is condescending and tries to sell you a $100+ battery replacement because it's not covered.

👤We have been watching commercials for a long time. We thought about buying one but didn't. We should have made the purchase a long time ago. This vacuum is what it is advertised to be. It picks up hair. It's easy to empty and charge quickly. There is no warning when the battery is going to die. When the battery is low, it will stop. I don't mean to slow down, it stops. The first time it happened it was frightening. We plan on purchasing the next size, regardless of whether it is a wonderful tool or not.

👤This vacuum is the best. A 32 year old man is excited about vacuuming and is a testament to product marketing and ingenuity. I ran out of things to vacuum at my place so I contemplated asking my neighbors if I could. I had an excuse to use it. It was worth the money.

👤I have animals. I bought this model because of that. I need the Max setting to get all the fur and dog hair. The battery only lasted seven minutes on the max setting. I can only vacuum one room in seven minutes and I like to do at least a few rooms at a time. It only lasts 20 minutes on the regular setting. After 15 minutes, she disconnected me from Dyson. The second person had the courage to say that it was just the way it was with this model, short battery life. Only if you have a small living area to vacuum or you like to do a chore for a day or two.

👤We've owned this vacuum for 2 months and I am very disappointed. The battery won't hold a charge, so it has stopped working. For the price of a vacuum. I thought I was buying a quality product. I feel like I have been taken advantage of. Don't buy this vacuum. It's a complete waste of money. The Dirt Devil that we had for 4 years was much better and lasted several years for a fraction of the cost. The Dyson broke a few days after the return window. I think I'm out $300. It's frustrating and irresponsible of both Amazon and Dyson.

Brand: Dyson

👤I have a refurbished Dyson vacuum that is still running 8 years after it was refurbished. Tyson has a stick. It's perfect for my living area. Dyson is the name brand that puts the spotlight on the importance of a good cleaning device for inside the home. They still run circles around all of the others with their state of the art design and materials. It's performance sums it all up, as one of the best in its class. I think it's a good idea to recommend 100%.

👤It hurts. It's supposed to do that. Does it do well too. It's just limited by battery life, just like our upright. 75% of our vacuuming needs have been done by this person.

👤After charging. The battery lasts less than 10 minutes. Do not buy it.

👤I thought the vacuum didn't pick up dirt well, but I discovered that the floor tool can get turned wrong without my noticing. I don't like having to keep my finger on the start button all the time. It is a little difficult to maneuver with one hand.

👤It was unpacked, plugged in, and waited for it to charge. It is $500 dollars and not eligible for a refund. Dyson worked for Best Buy for 5 years. Amazon sellers are questionable.

👤The last one was a lot of work. This one could suck the spots off of a leopard. I was surprised at how good the carpets looked the first time I used it.

👤I finally bought a Dyson. It is not as good as I had expected, but if any battery, stick vacuums are, I will take it. The wall mount doesn't hold all of the things. It is lightweight, it has a lot of attachments, and it does the job it is supposed to. I am almost in love.

👤The battery didn't last very long when we started with this sweeper. We were only able to get through one floor, but we couldn't go upstairs before the battery ran out. I owned it for less than three months and it was a huge disappointment. The dirt release is backwards. You will see what I mean.

👤Cleans every type of flooring. The useage time is the only thing I would change about it. Half an hour on regular or seven minutes on max.

👤The red clip holding the bottom of the receptacle broke after a short time of use.

👤Parfait pour la maison...pas un dire,la meilleure balayeuse ever.

7. Tineco Cordless Handheld Charging Hardwood

The advanced design includes front lights for lighting up dark spots and accessories to remove pet hair. The vacuum is small and lightweight so you can maneuver up and down stairs with one hand. The 4-stage, fully sealed system captures fine particles, including dust and pollen, down to a healthier size. Expels cleaner air to your home.

Brand: Tineco

👤Welcome to the vacuum wars! There are many choices from 50.00 to 900. I tried the leader, but returned it due toDisadvantages such as inferior ergonomics and time consuming pain to fully clean. My goal is to find a vacuum that cleans the entire house without stopping. I have hardwood floors and carpets. Tineco's second generation A11 Master has a full array of attachments. The A11 has a bigger dust bin, greater battery capacity and more power. The battery was timed with the power carpet attachment. It took 28 minutes and 33 seconds. This was after a battery refill. After a number of rechargings, the battery time should improve. I was able to vacuum my entire house. Any household job can be done with the non-power attachment. There is no air leaking from them. The electrical contact points are the most important to me. Contacts need to be built to last. The A11 has long contacts. The power attachment and all connecting joints have injected molded guide ridges to eliminate strain or break during connection. The A11 design has the same attention to detail. In normal mode the A11 is 25w and in max mode it is 120w. The power carpet attachment has bristles that are soft and hard. To check out the carpet attachment, I spread coffee, sugar, and cereals. I used my first appliance. I used the A11 in normal mode. The A11 picked up some debris that the Electrolux missed. I put the A11 in max mode and vacuumed the area. There was nothing left to pick up. The A11 was enough. I used the same mixture with other cereals to check out the power floor attachment. In normal mode, the floor attachment picked up everything in one sweep. I spread the cereals along the baseboards to check out the edge to edge vacuuming. The A11 was very good at edge to edge pickup. The A11 vacuumed almonds and large whole pistachios in normal mode, even though the power attachment was needed. There was no hand or wrist fatigue after an hour of use. The A11 is around 3 lbs. Without the attachment. There is a constant on switch and both the carpet and floor power attachment have useful lights. Attachments can be easily connected or disengaged with one hand. I had to empty the dustbin midway. The bin was emptied quickly. Between cleanings you can take out the inner filter assembly from the dust bin and brush it off. The process takes 15 seconds. It's simple and quick and keeps the A11 running. A full cleaning is not time consuming. The A11 has a floor caddy that charges both batteries at the same time. Most of the items are not in the caddy. The vacuum, batteries, tube and 2 non power attachment are in the caddy. The A11 doesn't stand on its own. Tineco paid attention to detail and produced a good looking vacuum at a reasonable price. I am keeping the A11. It was the highest recommendation.

8. Dyson Upright Cleaner Ball Animal

Dyson Upright Cleaner Ball Animal

A stair tool and turbine tool are included. Whole-machine filters ensure that the allergens are trapped inside the machine. The bin should be emptied with the push of a button.

Brand: Dyson

👤I get anxious when I need to use the vacuum. It is so tight to the carpet that it cannot be changed, so it is an extreme cardio workout with every use. I enjoy a good workout. I like to sweat on my own terms, not my vacuum's. I read some reviews that said some people had the same problem, but I thought they must have long carpets. Who doesn't like pushing a vacuum? I'd like to find these people and apologize for judging them too early. Our carpet is normal and I have strong muscles. I fancy myself a pretty fit person, but I was put in my place by this vacuum. We threw the box away because we were really confident in our purchase, and we wanted to replace our old Dyson Animal Ball that has served our family well for 8 years. We are stuck with it. I have some tips for you if you are stuck with it. You're less likely to tear your rotator cuff if you warm up. If you loosen those muscles. 2. Don't expect your children to be able to vacuum soon. It's one of the main reasons we had them. Their child's arms and shoulders won't be able to handle this workout. I had to increase my expectations from them because they couldn't help out with this one. 3. Don't stop mid-vacuum! You'll need the strength to finish those lines. I've found that restarting the vacuum while you are in motion helps if you stop due to fatigue. 4. Don't be ashamed of the noises you make during your routine. It was grunting, flatulence, and crying. It's part of your vacuuming routine now. Acceptance, no shame. 5. Don't get dressed in regular clothes before your workout. It's pointless, you will sweat and stink the rest of the day, or ruin your cute outfit with pit stains. I've stopped brushing my hair. There is a video on this. You should complain loudly when you need to vacuum. This increases the sympathy you might get from your spouse or significant other and improves your chances of a post vacuum massage. 7. Don't forget your stretching and cool down routine. Unless you want to be sore after, you have to get that lactic acid out of your muscles. There are 8. Look for people that are vacuuming anxiety and stress. Studies show that support groups can help. If you are smart, you will steer clear of this one.

👤I decided to order the Shark TruePet rotator and the Dyson Animal ball 2 after reading many reviews. I can tell you that this thing is better than anything Shark can offer. I needed to try both of them for myself to see if they were any better than the others. I've done many days of vacuuming with both the Shark and the Dyson. I can tell you that the test is stupid. The second vacuum picked up more debris than the first one. One day I did the Dyson and the second time I used the Dyson, the vacuum still produced dirt in the bin. The test is pointless if you watch dumb unscientific YouTube videos. The vacuum has the same power as the shark pet. You can find any kind of comparisons between the two models. The Dyson Cinetic is a 180aW motor, which is weaker if you're not paying attention. The Dyson was purchased from Dyson's website. If you register your vacuum on their website, they will give you a 20% discount. If you don't like it, you can get a full refund and free return shipping. I received 3 free tools, but I also received a 4th free tool, a free carrying case for all the tools, and a $100 off thanks to being a Dyson customer. The vacuum arrives in the mail and is easy to assemble. It gives you the impression that you got good material for the money, because all the material is put together well. The shark was not so much. The little details, like the wall plug, are premium and nice. It's not a big deal, but it shows that you paid more for it. The floors in my house have been vacuumed. While I think the Shark did a better job of picking up dust in the carpet, the Dyson did a better job with the hard flooring. When you try to break apart the seal, the Dyson will suck down to the floor. The Shark was no match for this power on the hardwood, and even required a second pass in some areas to get everything up. The Dyson has an adjusting head that will move up and down so you don't have to use buttons. You need to change the shark from a rug to a hard flooring. If you need to do something for floors, turn off the brushes and the Dyson will do the rest. It is easy to move this up and down the stairs. I was amazed at how much more dog hair the Dyson picked up over the Shark. I emptied the bin. You can vacuum the carpeted flooring with a vac. The extendable wand easily surpasses the Shark in strength. The Shark variant performs worse than the included rotating attachment. The shark variant is not as efficient at picking up debris. The shark version has a rotating piece that works like the main vacuum bristles, but the Dyson has two spinning heads that travel in circles. The Shark has a nicer dust collector. The trap door works better if you press the button. The dirt gets stuck on the hinge of the Dyson, so you have to wiggle to get it all out. The wand is hard to put back in. It's easy to pull it out, but the method in which you put it back involves too much time and effort to get it to go in all the way. This is not as good as my DC25 that I replace with this. The no pedal push down method was used to change the kick stand from the foot pedal style to the weird no pedal push down method. Sometimes it works, but sometimes it will pop down as if I'm going to use it to vacuum, when I just want to move the vacuum on the little rear wheels. Its sub-par compared to the DC25. I think this is a top tier product. Customer support, quality, performance, and perks like returning custom discounts are unbeatable. The Dyson comes with a 5 year warranty. Dyson sells vacuums for a premium price, but you get what you pay for. Dyson may not be as cheap as a Shark, but you don't see Dyson taking up Sunday afternoon spots on TV.

9. Dyson Motorhead Cordless Cleaner 227591 01

Dyson Motorhead Cordless Cleaner 227591 01

The Shark DuoClean upright vacuum, Crevice tool, and Upholstery tool are included. Powerful suction; cord free. It takes up to 30 minutes to use a non-motorized tool. The battery is replaceable. Non-detachable. It's easy to clean the home. The battery power is only used while it is cleaning, and requires 3.5 hours of charging before use. Up to 6 minutes of fade free power is available in Max mode. The nylon bristles are driven into the carpets. The Dyson digital motor V7 was used to pick up dirt and fine dust from carpets and hard floors. The Dyson V6 vacuum has less brush bar power. No need to clean the bin. The bin volume was 0.14 gallons. Quickly transforms to a handheld vacuum to clean your home and car.

Brand: Dyson

👤I did a lot of research before buying this. I had people say they loved it. My thoughts are here. 1. On max power, the battery doesn't last long. If I am lucky, I get about 6 minutes on Max and 15 on the power saver. 2. If you have a lot of carpet, I don't recommend it. The house is 70% carpet and this doesn't pick it up unless it's on max power. I run into the time limit problem. It's great for bugs in hard to reach places. My arm gets sore after a few minutes because it is not as light as a vacuum hose. I like it, but I wouldn't use it as my main vacuum. It is overpriced to be used as a dust buster. For $300, I expected more.

👤I had this device for 3 weeks and it stopped working after 2 times of use. The Dyson support is a joke, it takes them forever to respond, and after 3 weeks of emails, they asked me to take the device to a service center. I don't have time to deal with this anymore. The device will be returned to Amazon. I expected Dyson to have the same level of product and service as this one.

👤I thought it was an overpriced vacuum, but now it's not that. The vacuum is not good enough to pick up bread crumbs from the ground because the hoses are not clear. I'm very disappointed in the vacuum. I always have to use my big Shark vacuum when I empty the canister because it doesn't work as it should. It's a waste of time. I'll post a video about how weak the suction is. Don't spend all the money on this vacuum.

👤I'm angry about this product. I received it today and was excited about it, but as I opened the box more, I was crushed. I notice a smell as I take out each piece. A familiar one. There is a smell of mold. Everything in the box stinks. Including the vacuum itself. It smells like it was sitting in a water damaged warehouse with mold growing out the wazoo for a year, but I don't see any water damage. It works well. The vacuum is nice. The way you hold it made it difficult for me to hold it. It seems like a great buy, even though it was kept. The smell was stronger when I tested it out, like it was blowing air through the smelly filter. I will be buying a new filter for my VACUUM, which is so ridiculous, I am so grossed out. I smelled the box that was shipped in from Amazon and it had no smell, which leads me to believe that it's 100% on the seller. I will be going to a real store to buy my new filter to be sure I don't see the same problem. It's gross and it's disappointing that WaytoO expensive for these problems.

👤I don't like the fact that I can only vacuum on high-suction machines for less than 10 minutes. It's not that hard to make a better battery. I called Dyson customer service the other day and they told me I had to keep my vacume on low-suction in order to get 30 minutes, and if I have it on high-suction it only goes 10 minutes. I can't believe the best vacum in the world only has a battery that lasts for 10 minutes. It did last 30 minutes even on low pressure.

Brand: Amazon Renewed

👤This thing does what it says. It is powerful and not loud. I read all the other reviews before buying this vacuum. It is one of the best for the price.

👤The vacuum had a wheel that was broken off. We got a $50 credit from Amazon and didn't care. The floor assembly doesn't turn on and the hose doesn't work. It seems like there is a broken mechanism inside. This was a refurbished item, which tells me that there are other things that broke. I am out of a few hundred dollars because the support window is closed. I don't feel like paying for repairs or cracking it open at this point. I expected more from Dyson.

👤I haven't had a new vacuum in 17 years. I retired a Dyson vacuum as well. The vacuum has the best hair pickup ever. Each time I vacuum, my carpets look new. It is easy to maneuver. The tools are easy to use. The best vacuum ever.

👤Dyson needs to have instructions in English with the names of the parts. The Dyson picture shows all but one step. I don't think that is doable. They don't recommend moving the rest from the top down. Safety?

👤Dyson is noticeably different and carries the name for obvious reasons. It has a lot of power.

👤I love vacuums. Great movement!

👤The wheel was broken, but it was a perfect function.

11. Dyson DC65 Animal Upright Cleaner

Dyson DC65 Animal Upright Cleaner

The tangle-free turbine tool is included. 5 year parts and labor warranty when purchased from an authorized reseller. The technology is called root radial cyclone. 25 percent more power drives bristles deeper into carpets. There are self adjusting cleaner head seals. The only turbine tool that doesn't tangle is the counter rotating heads.

Brand: Dyson

👤The first Dyson I owned was a DC14 Animal. I loved it. After years of my husband using it to clean up construction messes and my kids dragging it up the stairs, I finally began to notice that it became less impressive. Since my first 8 years of abuse, I stuck with the brand I trusted and ordered this higher end model. I compared my old one to my new one when I received my DC65 Animal. :D The photo will show you what you want to know. I used my old DC14 Animal vacuum to get the first pile of dirt in my family room. I immediately vacuumed it again with my new DC65 Animal and got a larger pile of dirt. If you have a love-affair with cleanliness, make the purchase. You will never regret it. There is a You don't feel it even though it's 17 pounds. It pulls itself out of the way. The new DC65 is easier to push and steer than my DC14 is. The tool attachments are not quite intuitive to me. I will need to reference a manual.

👤3.5 years into a 5 year warranty. I had to buy a new one because it was considered normal wear and tear. Really? How many vacuums could I have bought and thrown out? There is no onboard tool storage. Cord barely gets up the stairs. I've bought other vacuums that didn't perform as well. Never again.

👤I have had a Dyson for many years. I have never had a machine malfunction. I want to try out some of the technology on the newer one. I thought my Dyson was the best. It was easy to put together, but the wand attachment is different to the vacuum, so I had to check the directions. It's really simple. I decided to vacuum my house with my old Dyson and then use my new one, because some reviewers did it. The dirt and fiber was left behind by the other vacuum. I was impressed. The Dyson 65 is easy to use with the ball. It took a little getting used to, but I like it. The vacuum is lighter than my old one, which makes a big difference on my body. I did not hurt my back or arm after vacuuming, but I am not going to tell my kids that, or they will think they don't have to do it anymore. The lower profile of the brush bar makes it easier to get under the furniture. I tried out the turbine upholstery attachment on my brown recliner and it was great. I cleaned up that chair and I am going to love it. The release to empty the debris container is now a button type release that takes some effort, and that is my only complaint. That is hard on my hand. The release on my old-07 was more like a triggering release. It's much easier. My son wants my old vacuum.

👤Dyson vacuums have the ability to get the floors really clean. I had an older DC14 model for a long time. The ability to suck has been lost. I went with another Dyson. I think this DC65 is great at getting the floor clean. It's just amazing! I am not happy with the new design of the brush bar for cleaning hair. I lose a lot of my hair. The brush bar wraps around the hair. I used to cut the hair from the brush bar on my old DC14 about every 6 months. It was easy to do, just cutting away layers of hair with scissors and pulling the hair mats out of the bristles. Not very complicated. This is not the case on the DC65. There are 4 screws in the brush bar that need to be removed, which is a pain, but also something that will cause the plastic to wear down over time, which is a problem. There are two pieces of the bar that need to be removed. The center part of the bar is connected to the two bar pieces that are responsible for turning it. You would think that it would be protected from hair getting sucked in because it is sealed, but the company doesn't intend for you to do so. Not the case! I had a vacuum for a short time, vacuumed my house about 3 times, and then the brush bar seized up, and there was a terrible burning rubber smell in the room. The plastic and rubber ring were shredded when hair was pulled inside the "sealed" center part. There was no hair on the brush bar. We called the Dyson multiple times and got the run around for over an hour. They wouldn't replace it because it was our fault. We searched the internet to see if there was anything else we could do to fix it. Other people were unable to fix the same thing that we came across. I sent an email expressing my disappointment in the way this matter was being handled and my new vacuum was ruined after just a few uses. They replaced the part for free, but this is terrible. The brush bar was ruined by the lack of hair on it. I use my vacuum to remove hair so it won't ruin, but I'm stuck with a vacuum that's broken every time. This should not be the case. This is a design flaw. The older DC14 had no problems with me. There would be a lot of hair on the brush bar, but no damage to the vacuum. I chose the "pet hair" model of the DC65 because it cannot handle hair. The vacuum has two filters instead of one and it must be washed every 3 months instead of every 6 months. One of them is hard to access. I don't like the way the vacuum moves when vacuuming. It feels like you are breaking something to get it out of the upright position. I am giving it a 3 star rating on Amazon. If you have a person with long hair in the house, be careful.
