👤My husband doesn't like rice. I got a mini rice cooker for myself. It is great and I have had it for about a month. Put in the rice, put in the water and press cook. I wondered if the warming feature that takes over after cooking would make the rice over cook, but I have gotten perfect sticky rice the way I like it. The rice cooker takes up very little room and is very easy to clean up. It is not a big deal if it is unplugged to turn off. It comes with a measuring cup and directions but I use a 2 to 1 ratio and it works for me. It has been a year since I got my little pink cooker and it still works great. Jan. 15, 2022. I still like cooking in my mini rice cooker. It works like new and is easy to clean. I used it to make a yellow rice and it came out great. I can recommend this cooker.
👤When I received it, I was a little disappointed that it was small. It changed my mind when I used it. He makes a lot of rice, more than I thought it could fit in a small bowl. It is very easy to cook and keep it warm, you just push the bottom and it cooks. The rice is easy to clean. It's great for cooking rice for a family. Definitely recommend.
👤I made rice with the measuring cup and lines in the rice pot, but it was too watery. When I filled the measuring cup with rice, I dumped it in and then filled it with water, but it still made perfect rice. The product works well if you don't listen to their measurement, even though it lost one star.
👤I used to avoid making rice because it was a hassle, requiring vigilance, timing and temperature control, not to mention the mess left behind. This cute little non-stick gizmo makes perfect rice, sometimes for hours. It comes with a recipe booklet that shows you how to make a variety of dishes with it. The attractive cooker is in my kitchen. I think it's a great idea! A fine Dash product.
👤I think it is adorable. It looks like a toy to my bf, but for me it is just so cute. It is enough if it can contain the rice amount for 2 people at the same time. It takes 20 minutes to cook rice. I don't think it's a good idea to keep the rice warm. The rice became really dried after I left it overnight. Rice is our main meal every day. I know that I can always leave the rice in warm mode, even if it is only for a short time. I gave this 4 star rating because of that.
👤It's great for cooking a meal for one or two, or a side dish for a few people, and it's easy to clean in. You don't have to babysit the cooker.
It's easy to use a single switch control. The glass lid has a stay cool knob. Cool handles for easy transport. Non-stick cooking pan. The Zojirushi rice cooker has a plastic measuring cup. The cup has a capacity of about 1/3 of a U.S. measuring cup. These cups of white rice have the capacity of the rice cooker counted. A cup of raw rice makes about 2 to 3 cups of cooked rice.
👤We've always cooked rice on the stove and never owned a rice cooker. We bought this one because our son is coming home with his Thai girlfriend. Reviewers say it makes a mess and spatters and bubbles through the hole. We debated if it was necessary to rinse the rice. Our rice bag did not say to the directions. The Thai lady does not rinse rice. We did an experiment. The rice was cooked perfectly after being washed and drained. The jasmine rice was unrinsed and caused spattering and spitting out of the lid. You are here.
👤The new one is just as reliable and functional as the original. My original comments are the same. I make only a few cups of rice at a time. I've made up to 7 cups without the splatter. You could cover the weep hole with a small cloth if I made 9-10 cups. If you are concerned, I would recommend buying the bigger size. Still very happy! While stationed in Japan, I purchased my first Zojirushi rice cooker. The cooker worked continuously for 25 years. I realized I wanted the same cooker as I had when I searched for a replacement. This is the model. I wanted it to cook rice quickly. I don't like rice. The Japanese take it to an art form, so maybe the more complex machines result in a better dining experience. Every time, this rice cooker delivers perfect rice for me. I usually cook 3 cups of rice each time. I have great rice for dinner in about 25 minutes after I add water, add rice and flip the lever. This is the product if you need it. Non-stick aluminum is a huge improvement over bare aluminum. Rice does not stick. The non-stick coating on the "pot" makes it hard to read the markings in the pot. It's not a deal breaker. There is a small weep hole in the glass lid. I read that this hole made a mess. This is not what I have experienced before. The old lid caused a small mess. This doesn't. I have had this product for 3 months. I had a cooker that worked just as well as the one I had for 25 years. Very, very happy.
👤I found out I've had a rice cooker for 15 years. I thought it deserved a review. I only use it to cook brown and white rice once or twice a week. If you are making brown rice, it does spurt and sputtering, because of the extra stuff in the brown rice causing foamier bubbles, and you need more water for brown rice. It's fine if the lid is seated properly and you cover it with a towel when it's cooking. I am not a neatnik. I cover the lid with a tea towel or kitchen towel if I make sure it's seated correctly. I usually don't pre-soak my rice. If you want a rice cooker that is spurt-free, you need one with a hinged, latched lid and special systems to manage the overflow and bubbling. It's easier to clean with warm water and a dish brush than it is with a bulky style. The generic water ratios that come with the rice cooker are not good for cooking quality. I would use 1 cup of rice for rinsing. The cooker comes with a 6 oz cup. I use a Japanese Kagayaki medium grain brown rice that cooks up well with just 1 cup of water and no pre-soaking. I find brown rices to be more variable in their water needs. I don't like being plugged in. I use a plug-in switch to shut it off. I found one at my local hardware store.
The rice cooker and warmer has advanced logic technology. There is a wall mountable. Automatic keep-warm, extended keep-warm, and reheat cycles are included in the multi-menu selections. The electrical rating is 120 volts. The inner pan is spherical and allows for uniform heating. Menu settings include white, mixed, porridge, sweet, semi-brown, brown, rinse-free and quick cooking. Measures approximately 14 by 8 by 9 inches. 2 measuring cups, a rice spoon/scooper, and recipes are included. Also, note: Measure rice in the cup that comes with the product.
👤The Rice Cooking function is good. I paid for a new unit and INRDeals I decided to post a review here to remind the seller of their business ethics.
👤I have been in Japan for over 30 years and have eaten a lot of rice. I'm not crazy about rice. I am a former baker and have always thought that rice is a type of bread. Five years ago, I moved back to the U.S., and I used a cheap rice cooker/steamer/yogurt maker from Costco. It cooked rice fairly well. My wife told me to buy a quality rice cooker to replace it because it died on me. I'm a cheapskate at heart, but I'm also a big softie, so after spending hours online researching rice cookers in English and Japanese, we settled on the 5.5 cup model. Zojirushi is one of the most trusted brands in Japan, but it lacks all the bells and whistles of higher end suihanki, but it has high reviews, the most modern technology and design features to cook rice well, and it is also not as expensive as higher end su I am not proud to admit that I am wrong when I think my wife is over picky about rice. The rice that this appliance cooks is incredible. The rice in the previous cooker had some soft and hard spots, but the rice from this one is uniformly consistent. Each grain is glossy and sticky. If you want to make popular Japanese dishes like onigiri and sushi, you should use this cooker. I don't understand how the quality of the cooked rice can be so different. My wife doesn't use any of the fancy features on the device, and we use the same brand of rice every time. It may seem like a lot of money to spend on a one-trick pony appliance like this, especially considering our bread machine was only 50 bucks. This money is well spent. This cooker is too good to not recommend.
👤I tend to do a lot of research when I buy a new kitchen item. I research to the point that I go in circles for months trying to find the best item in the category I'm interested in. I can convince myself that I need the greatest tin foil ever invented and then I have to take a step back, get a grip, and start over with more realistic expectations. I felt buyer's remorse after I submitted the purchase of the Zojirushi. I decided I needed a rice cooker because I was playing with Asian cuisine. My only previous experience with rice was burning it to the bottom of a cheap pot or throwing it into boiling water. I know a relatively cheap rice cooker would have done the trick, but my research kept bringing me back to the Zojirushi and the "Neuro Fuzzy" technology. I got the 10 cup version because I imagined myself cooking for a lot of people. This thing is awesome, but not like a cure for a disease. I followed the directions to make brown rice. It was perfect. I didn't wash the rice. I dumped the rice and water in and pressed the button. I do a lot of sushi rice and jasmine rice which come out perfect. It's sticky. I usually add more than the recommended amount of water. I've steamed vegetables in it as well, with a steamer placed inside, and that works just as well. I usually order things online. Sometimes they are okay, sometimes they are terrible, but rarely do I get what I wanted. The Zojirushi NS-ZCC18 is the only item that truly lived up to the hype. Mike P.S. I could do without the alarm that goes off when the rice is done. I'll live because it's not loud. A master Asian chef berated me for hours about the need to wash and rinse the rice first. Does it make a difference when I place in the Zoji? I'm not sure. It's better than being yelled at in Chinese.
Please make sure to measure rice in the cup that comes with the product. In 1955, the first automatic electric rice cooker was launched byToshiba, it was the first of its kind. The Japanese-style rice cooker has leading 3D cooking technology and an intelligent 6-step cooking process. Every time, the steam valve and inner pot can keep the steam and heat for perfect fluffy rice. The rice cooker can cook white rice, brown rice, mixed rice, short or long-grained rice, oatmeal, and porridge perfectly in terms of texture, flavor and aroma. 12 cups of cooked rice for a meal. A quickICE FEATURE. The sensor in the rice cooker can speed up the cooking time to 30 minutes, which is an excellent and time-saving option. Keep the temperature warm. The rice cooker keep-warm setting will keep the contents at an ideal serving temperature for up to 24 hours. There are two programmable delayed time features. The rice cooker has two delay time options and a timer. Just add water and rice in the morning and you'll be ready to eat rice. Large steam is re-allocated. It's VENT- As you cook, steam rises through the vent without spilling over.
👤I've owned 3 zojirushi's, a Tiger, and now a Toshiba. The best one is the Toshiba. I retired my most recent Zojirushi due to the bowl's poor condition, which I assumed was because I ate a lot of teflon. I bought the bowl because of the reviews. The whole cooker is the same quality as the one in my Zojirushi and the bowl is heavier. A superior product. The rice is clean and excellent. Highly recommended.
👤The rice cooker exceeded my expectations. I am happy if it cooks my rice. I didn't know my rice tasted better until I used the cooker. My rice is cooked evenly and it is so fluffy. Three Ladies Jasmine Rice is my brand of rice. I left it in the rice cooker for 24 hours and it was still moist and fluffy the next day. Warm rice is nice to have. If you're looking for a rice cooker that is easy to use, compact and doesn't take up a lot of counter space, this is the one for you.
👤I gave up on the $30 unit I had been using because it dumped water everywhere while cooking. I got this sent to me, cleaned it, and threw in some basmati with water, and I was blown away by the results. It can make enough rice for a large family or enough for a single guy like me in a week. I bought one for my parents, but my sister stole it.
👤I have to find a new rice cooker asap since my old one gave up. For me no food. I decided to get this one because I was a fan of the brand when I was a kid. The rice cooked in this rice cooker tastes better than the regular mode in my old rice maker. The consistency of the food is better. When I left my rice on warm for more than 5 hours, my old rice maker made my rice super dry, but this one still kept the rice as good as it was just cooked. The design is pretty and slick. A little bit bulky.
👤I am familiar with the Zoji brand that died after 10 years. It has a rice cooker that can cook 6 cups. The function is easy to use, but the display is hard to see through the yellow or amber tint. It is consistent with the keep warm feature. The power cut noise assures the rice is kept warm. It's better to know how long the process will take with the time display.
👤I had been searching the internet for different recipes that I could make in my rice cooker, and I found a lot of them. My cooker is easy to use. I steamed vegetables and baked cakes and they all came out great. I was happy with the purchase. It was worth the money.
👤Works well! Rice doesn't get burned anymore. It was only used for white rice. The quick rice option is great. It was easy to clean. It would be great if the parts could be washed via a dish washer, but it's an easy hand wash, and it will last longer. The power cord was short. This wasn't a big deal because I have a lot of longer power cords.
You can make more than rice: rice, whole grains, hot cereals, steamed vegetables, and much more. One pot meals are healthy and include seafood or veggies. Cook and steam food at the touch of a button. It can make between 2 to 8 cups of cooked rice or whole grains. The rice rinser/steam basket is included in the 2 in 1 basket.
👤This product has been used many times by me. It cooks rice well. I would wipe the inside of the rice cooker clean with a paper towel or sponge after the rice was done. It was coated with a fuzzy mold after I made some quinoa. Black mold was found behind the rubber seal and in the rolled aluminum that is part of the lid. Unless you take the entire product apart, it's impossible to clean it off. The rolled aluminum crease is still moldy. Don't buy this product. I don't think it's safe. Unless you like mold.
👤The rice cooker died today and no longer works. What a waste of money. I had one for $20 that lasted more than a year and never had the same issues. POS will probably never buy Hamilton Beach again. The worst rice cooker I've ever used is still there. I have had better luck with $12 ones. You can barely cook two cups of rice without the top blowing off, so if you think this thing has any redeeming qualities, rest assured: it does not. The rice is ruined. Unless you eat your rice right away, this rice cooker is garbage. A few hours on the warm feature and your rice is hard and there's a solid film on the bottom of the rice.
👤This thing takes forever to make rice, forever to steam something, forever to do anything. Brown, long stem rice, 2 cups, took almost 2 hours to finish. Are you serious? If you want to make rice for Tuesday dinner, you should plug the thing in on Monday noon, dump in your ingredients, and walk away. Good grief. The fastest thing it can do is make a pot of white rice. It takes 20 minutes to heat up before steaming veggies, so it's a joke. Sending it back was Needless to say. I can't imagine a reason to use this thing as a cooking device over a stovetop pan with a steamer insert and lid, which will do everything this does in a fraction of the time, with far less hassle. Does anyone make a steamer that is quicker and more convenient than the stovetop?
👤I bought this to be used as a rice cooker, and it takes 45 minutes to cook a bowl of rice. It is difficult to clean because it is one piece. You have to keep the lid open because the humidity inside will stay inside unless you clean it out. I bought another one that has a lid and bowl that you can take out and put away.
👤I like this rice cooker because it is small and I have a small living space. It cooks the rice well. I did not read the instructions on how to use the rice cooker, so the first attempt was a bad one. I was going to use my mom's bigger one. My bad. I read the instruction after tossing that batches out. Water and 4 cups of rice are needed to get to the 4th line. That is going to be a lot of rice. The rice button said 45 minutes after I hit it. I know how to plan my cooking time. When the 45 minutes were over, the instructions were to sit on the warmer for 15 minutes. I did. It came out perfect. I now have 6 cups of rice, but I don't have to cook it for a while. This was one of the better buys. I did this with the help of an Amazon Rep. They help me find the best and best price product by arrowing down my search. The reps can help with coupons and discounts. I don't know what I would do with it. Trista1372
The power cord is retractable. It is possible to cook main dish and rice at the same time. One push operation. The dimensions are W 10.8 x. D 13.9 x H 8.4. There are 4 cooking menu settings. It is easy to clean the inner pan. The cook has an electric rating of 662 watt. The spatula, cooking plate, measuring cup and cookbook are used for "Synchrony-cooking" function. Please make sure to measure rice in the cup that comes with the product.
👤I'm a Japanese-American and I cook white rice every single day, so I wanted a cooker that cooks rice well. I just wanted a cooker that would give me good rice night after night, and this one does that. It can steam veggies. I don't have to worry about the burnt rice on the sides or bottom of the cheap rice cooker because this Tiger cooks the whole pot evenly. Is it fast? I had no idea that it was possible to make 3.5 cups of rice in 30 minutes. If you're looking for a solid appliance that will give you amazing rice every time, this is the one for you.
👤After 15 years, my rice cooker died. I wanted to get a fancy Japanese rice cooker because I deserve nicer things now that I'm older. The Zojirushi brand was a bit steep for my frugal self, so I looked up tons of comparison reviews and this Tiger came in consistently as an A in the ratings. I'm very happy I bought this. I like it. I haven't had a lot of rice in it. I'm pretty sure it does, because I've varied the amount of water I use to make 3 cups a couple of times as a test, and the rice came out the same each time. In my old Aroma those would have resulted in either a soggy or undercooked batches. It's perfect in this rice cooker. I haven't tried the brown rice setting or the tacook option yet. My family is a strictly white jasmine rice Asian family, and for that, this makes delicious, fluffy rice. This is one of the best purchases I have made this year. I like to cook rice. When they have to cook rice, who gets happy? The rice cooker brings out the stupid joy in me.
👤I don't use a damaged Teflon rice pot to cook my rice. There are nicks and spots of Teflon in my pot, even though I use soft sponges. I let the water soak for an hour or two before I start cleaning because I know there is a sticky mess left on the pot. I don't drop in utensils before cleaning. The pot is still losing teflon. It's safe to say that the $40 Aroma rice cooker performs better than the $70 pot. I would be happy if I could get half of my money back. This week's trash looks like I'm going to be chuckin' it. The fancy Japanese rice cooker has two thumbs down.
👤I received this about five months ago and have been using it a few times a week. Sometimes it spills the water out the top and the inside needs to be cleaned frequently. You have to keep that in mind. The pot scratches up very easily. I have babied this thing, soft sponge, warm water, air drying, don't let things burn onto it, and it's bubbling and peeling. I am looking for a replacement pot. I don't think it exists. I love this machine because brown rice takes forever to cook in it. It doesn't splatter water while cooking, the steam tray is sturdy, the pot is sturdy, and the spoon holder works without having to place the spoon in it. I wish it made a noise.
All surfaces that come into contact with food or beverage are free of the chemical. The rice cooker has a capacity of up to 10 cups. The control panel is user-friendly. Menu settings include: white/mixed, sushi, porridge, sweet, brown, and quick cooking. The rice spatula, holder and measuring cups are accessories. There is a power cord. Please make sure to measure rice in the cup that comes with the product.
👤Rice cooker were built differently a long time ago. It would taste and smell the same the first day you made it, and it would last four to 48 hours. The newer generation of rice cooker has gone down in quality, and by the next day of making rice, the rice starts to smell and turn yellow. They don't recommend keeping rice in a cooker. I used to eat rice that way. If it's still good, I'm fine with it being 2 to 3 days old. A lot of the rice cookers I've used didn't live up to my expectations. If you don't put your rice in the fridge by the next day, you have nothing to eat and I ended up wasting a lot of it. Imagine if you felt like having rice when you most needed it, then you ended up eating a sandwich. I feel like I was in the old days with this cooker. The rice is still in perfect eating condition after 2 days, after I make it in this thing. I feel confident that when I open the rice cooker lid, I'll have rice waiting for me until it's done. I would like to say thank you for making a great cooker.
👤My family had a zojirushi since 1985. The brand is reliable. The elephant is a national symbol for Thailand, so there was no bias. This has a fuzzy technology. Unless you like it a little burnt, then no more burnt rice. Yes. This can make congee, fluffy Jasmine rice, sweet sticky rice, steam while making sweet sticky rice, carry it like a lunch box, serenade you for 3 seconds when you're lonely, and give you a facial if you stick your face over the steam.
👤Nothing in my life is perfect. If I treat it right, nothing will give back 100%. Everyone occasionally fails me or falls short. This is not a rice cooker. It will perform without error if you follow the instructions. The rice will be cooked to the highest standards. This rice cooker would be like everything else.
👤After my cheap rice cooker was too small for my needs, I upgraded to this model. I decided that the 5.5 cup was better suited for my needs after going back and forth between the two sizes. I use a rice cooker for a lot of things, including steaming a small amount of potatoes, boiling eggs, cream of wheat, oatmeal, and even heating up a can of baked beans. It is nice that you can turn the tune on or off, but I find it charming. The unit is light but sturdy and the handle is convenient. I had to balance what I wanted with the price. The cooker is small but can cook a lot of rice. I don't need the 10 cup capacity because I cook for 3 people. It doesn't burn on the bottom. The cooker was clearly designed to be easier to clean than my old one. I don't like the timer. I feel strongly about it. It isn't a problem. I am frustrated. You can set a timer for minute intervals, whether it be 3 minutes or 32 minutes. I can set a delay timer for 5:00 and have it on for as long as I want. The timer only allows you to set an exact time in 10 minute intervals. I can't cook something for 20 minutes if it's 2:03 pm. I can only tell it to be done with rice. If I want to use it for hard boiled eggs, it's not so nice. The time is set in military time and cannot be changed. I would rather have the option to just set it for 20 minutes. I can use the quick cook function, but it's not what I like. I thought the ability to set the timer to what I wanted was the best feature of my cheap cooker. It didn't have a delay time to turn on by itself, but I didn't need that. It would have been nice to have both. It is possible that a more expensive model has a steamer function and a steamer basket that can be used for flexible timer ability. It's a shame because this is a wonderful machine and it doesn't seem to me that the timer needs to be designed the way it is. I highly recommend this cooker. If you don't have the ability to set the machine to turn off when you want, you can adapt to that, but if you do have the ability to set the timer, you can't. If you are going to use this machine for rice only, it is 100% designed for that and you won't have an issue. You might consider another model if you like to make hot cereals daily or steam your eggs, because the timer issue is very tedious.
The rice measuring cup and serving spatula are included. Micro computerized fuzzy logic. There is a capacity of up to 5.5 cups and 1.0 liter. The electrical rating is 610 watt. Automatic keep warm, extended keep warm. It is easy to clean the clear coated exterior. The melody and signal are different. The power cord is retractable.
👤I was surprised by the difference in quality of the rice, I'm very happy with this rice cooker. It beats both cooking it on the stove top and in the Instant Pot. I can live with the minor flaws because of how good the rice is. I made rice using tap water and Tamanishiki premium short grain white rice. I washed and drained the rice before cooking at high altitude. Rice made in this cooker is cooked perfectly every time. It comes out of the cooker easily and is great for eating with chopsticks. It is similar to high quality rice that is served at restaurants. Quality short grain rice is the same as what I have had in Japan. The non-stick inner pot is easy to clean. I don't need to soak the cooking vessel before cleaning because there's no rice or film left after cooking. The cooker has an internal reel that winds up the power cord for easy storage. It was a nice surprise that I didn't see in the product description. The inner pot has water levels marked for different amounts of rice. This is useful. The clock is powered by a battery and doesn't lose time when unplugged. This is a nice touch. The operation of the device is easy. For a long time, the cooker can hold prepared rice. It was just as good as it was when it was made, with a little steam when opened, and I've tested it as far back as 12 hours after preparation. The included scoop, paddle, and steamer basket can't be held in the cooker at the same time for storage. If you store the steamer basket separately, it can hold the scoop and paddle. The Instant Pot can hold its power cord, trivets, ladle, and rice paddle inside itself, which is a big benefit. I have the 5.5-cup model. The larger version may be able to do this. The cooker can make small batches of rice, but only if the water level is less than 1.0 cup. If you want to make a small amount, you need to measure the water yourself. Extra lines inside the pot would have been easy to add. The included scoop is not a standard US cup when this cooker refers to a "cup" of rice. The Japanese standard for a serving of rice is about 1/3rds of a US standard cup. It is important to keep in mind that this isn't that much of a problem. Don't lose that scoop! The cooking cycle is four times longer than standard rice cooking. The cooking cycle includes soaking and steaming time, so it is worth it. The manual says that it is designed for medium and short-grain rice, but does include water measurements for long-grain. If you want to cook long-grain, you can't use the marks inside the cooking vessel to measure the water. If you're considering this device and reading reviews, you're probably wondering if the results are worth the hype. I think they are. I don't have to cook rice any other way now that I have this cooker. The results are not in the same league as stove-top or Instant Pot rice cooking. You can't decide if it's worth it, but I can recommend it. Minor quibbles and nitpicks are the only points of discontent with this device. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase, and it does its job well. I've updated this review to correct an error I made in the original version. The scoop and paddle can't be stored in the cooker even if the steamer basket is removed. That was incorrect. The scoop and paddle can be stored inside, but not at the same time. This cooker has become one of my favorites since I wrote this review. All of the cons I listed in my review are minor quibbles. Now. I wanted to change my score to five stars, but I think it's appropriate to keep it at four because of the drawbacks. I would replace this cooker immediately if it failed.
Automatic keep warm feature keeps rice hot. 2 to 6 cups of cooked rice can be prepared. Simple, one-touch operation. It's great for soups, chili, and so much more. The glass lid has a full view. The inner pot is easy to clean. The serving spatula and measuring cup are included.
👤I didn't get what was pictured in the listing. The steamer accessory is not the same as the model. I got a standard, simple Aroma basic model rice cooker, which has the same price, so I don't feel bad about it. I didn't get what was advertised. The picture is not of the correct model.
👤If you are expecting to get 6 cups of rice, be prepared for disappointment, I like the rice cooker, easy to clean, works well, but if you are expecting to get 6 cups of rice, be prepared for disappointment. If you read the instructions, you can get 6 Rice Cooker cups, which are only 1/3 US cup. You can get 4 1/2 cups of rice. It's a great little rice cooker if you can live with it. You should look elsewhere if you need 6 cups.
👤I wanted to replace my old rice cooker because we use a lot of rice. My old machine had a lot of different features, but I only used the rice cooker feature, so I decided I wanted a machine that only focused on cooking rice. I got more with this cooker. I've made plain white rice, jasmine rice, farrow, quinoa, bulger wheat, cous cous and also a rice pilaf from a package. Everything turned out perfect. I wish I had bought it a long time ago. Make sure to spray the inside with cooking spray lightly before you use it, it won't make a mess on the counter.
👤I bought a 3 cup rice cooker because I was looking for one. I've used it 3 times and it cooks the traditional Japanese rice well. It stays on as a warmer when cooking, which is something I don't like about it. I would like it to have an automatic off. The dark teflon coloring blends in with the fill lines and numbers that are difficult to see. If you have trouble with the bubbling over or spillage, try washing the rice. If you rinse the rice 10 times under water, you will be able to remove the starch from it. Even if the instructions say it doesn't need rinsing, rinse it. You will see a difference.
👤We eat a lot of dishes with rice. We were tired of making it in the microwave or on the stove. I will never look back after we bought a rice cooker. This one is easy to understand. It's easy to clean. Would recommend the investment.
👤It's a good product for the amount of money you're spending. The device is either warm or cook when plugged in. I would have gotten a rice bowl without the film if I'd known it was a non-stick film. I would recommend the product to potential buyers.
👤This Rice maker is perfect. It is easy to clean, and it is a great value.
👤This cooker is perfect for a rice cooker. It is very easy to use. There is no need to spend more money when this one works out. It's a good thing.
Every product has U.S. based Customer Support. Whether you're in the mood for a big bowl of gumbo, steamed veggies and rice, or a belly-warming soup, you can accomplish it all with your rice cooker. The possibilities are the same as you are. The item is round. The cooker is a proud member of the mentality of "set it and forget it". The one-touch operation is fool-proof, just fill it, power on, and cook! With the included steam tray, you can simultaneous steam foods above and below, saving time and quality. Once the cooking cycle is complete, you can switch to Keep Warm mode and keep your food at perfect serving temperatures. You can rest assured that cooking will be easy with the included inner pot. The inner pot can be washed in the dishwasher when the cooking is done. A 6 cup capacity will yield 2 to 6 cups of cooked rice. It's perfect for preparing small individual meals or delicious side dishes. The accessories include a full-view glass lid, aluminum steam tray, rice measuring cup, and serving spatula. The power consumption is 350W.
👤I have used this cooker for four years. If you're willing to work around some minor issues, you can get some good jasmine rice out of this. You should wash rice a few times before putting it on the counter. 2. When touching the top of jasmine rice, fill the water level to the first knuckle of your index finger. Plug in the cooker and press the down button to cook. 3. Rice will be cooked in 20 minutes. The button to cook will automatically pop up when it's time to cook. The bottom of the rice will be hard to clean if the cooker is unplugged immediately. The warm feature is useless. 4. The rice will stick to the bottom of the pot if the lid is removed immediately. It will be difficult to clean without being soaked in water for an hour. Put the rice pot on the cooker burner and set it aside to cool for five to ten minutes. The pot will be a breeze to clean if you remove the lid later to fluff up the rice. It's all about that. A good amount of rice for a couple of people.
👤I was hesitant to get this because of the reviews about the "ruins walls" and "burns/ruins rice". It makes steam. When you have it cooking, don't put it close to the wall or under the shelves in the kitchen, just set a timer, and it will be fine. There is no reason not to get this. It is perfect for 1-2 people. I've steamed whole chicken breasts and they cook great. It was a great buy and it was worth it.
👤I was looking for a food steamer. I am not a good cook, I have never been one who is natural in the kitchen. I wanted something simple that everything could be done at the same time and I was looking for more healthy options as well. Holy. Crap. This steamer makes me feel like I'm in a five star restaurant. A bit of a stretch. I bought this more than two months ago. I use it 3-4 times a week. I couldn't beat the price. I steam chicken, salmon, broccoli, asparagus, green beans, corn, and Brussel sprout in the bottom of my rice cooker. I feel like an amazing cook, but I didn't buy this sooner. If I ever get a boyfriend, I will blow him away with my very simple yet extravagantly simple cooking. It would be great to have a bigger size to make food for parties and meal prepping because I love this size for just me. I've got a lot of use out of my favorite purchase from Amazon.
👤I usually ignore one star reviews as the whiny minority and if you want to do the same stop reading now. Will it cook rice? Yes. Will it spray the floor, the counter, the cabinets, the wall, etc. Will it burn the rice to the bottom of the pot if it's done cooking? Yes. If you want to be happy when you cook rice, buy this cooker. You don't want to smash it with a hammer every time you use it, so spend a little more and get a one that you don't want. I would have liked to have. This cooker was never used by "Amazon" before it became an Amazon Choice.
The accessories included were a rice measuring cup, a steam tray, a ladle, and a spatula. The cooking pot is dishwasher-safe and food-grade 304stainless steel. Push down the lever to start if you want to pour in up to 3 cups of rice. The automated design is fool-proof. Set it and forget it. Automatic cooking. You don't have to set a timer for this smart rice cooker because it will detect when your rice is ready. Then, it automatically adjusts the temperature of your rice. The rice cooker is a must-have kitchen tool in a small package. The 6-cup capacity is perfect for many dishes. A bonus rice spatula and measuring cup are included in the complete set. The spatula can be held in the handle for easy storage.
👤The pot worked as expected, but it did have a tendency to bubble out through the cover lid vent. We returned it because the pot is not solid steel. It is plated and the interior began to oxidize after a few uses. I didn't want to risk my health by eating any of the plated material used in the fabrication of the "not so" pot. There are spots in the picture where the plating came off, exposing a different metal underneath. Maybe they are getting shortchanged by their supplier.
👤I've already done that and there's no need to over-think it. This is a cooker. There is no fuzzy logic. There are no different settings. When you press the button, it cooks rice. It's all over. See "SCIENCE!" for more information. At the end of the review. We got a rice cooker because I like the idea of making rice and Instant Pot at the same time. 1) The pot is made of steel. There is no non-stick coating. We bought it because of that. The base of the pot is shaped to sit on the heating element and transfer heat to the pot. I cook rice with butter to prevent it from sticking. Rice will stick to the bottom of the inner pot if left in " Keep Warm" for long enough. The solution? After serving out seconds, unplug the unit. If rice sticks, a quiet soak in the sink will loosen the hangers-on. Before cooking, I rinse the rice twice, first with cold water to over the top of the rice, and then with a strainer. This makes the rice taste and act like a restaurant rice. My understanding is that brown rice must be extra washed to make sure it doesn't come out sticky and cause the pit to bubble over. I use the cup that came with the pot. The measure is needed to fill the pot with 3 gou of rice. I bought a 4-year warranty on it. Why? Quality control standards make it more likely that the pot's element will go bad at some point, even if you look at different models. If the pot shoots craps, I get a new one for 2 bucks. It's all over. This little beauty is doing well so far. Science! How do you know when your rice is done? The same way your furnace knows that the room is warm. If the temp in the pot continues to rise, the heating element will be turned off. When the water has boiled off, the temp inside the pot begins to rise and the thermocouple turns off the high heat.
👤Don't buy it. The rice cooker is dangerous. It spits and splatters the contents and hot water. We can't use it as a result. I can't seem to get in touch with anyone from Aroma to get a refund or return the product.
👤Excellent quality and no TEFLon! When making rice, leave the cover off and make your steel cut oatmeal, but add raisins, cinnamon, or whatever you like. I don't believe this is a design flaw or can be avoided, but I do have a simple solution: prop a small dish on the cooker when making rice and splashing will be contained.
