1. Hamilton Beach 37518 Uncooked Resulting

Hamilton Beach 37518 Uncooked Resulting

You can make more than rice: rice, whole grains, hot cereals, steamed vegetables, and much more. One pot meals are healthy and include seafood or veggies. Cook and steam food at the touch of a button. It can make between 2 to 8 cups of cooked rice or whole grains. The rice rinser/steam basket is included in the 2 in 1 basket.

Brand: Hamilton Beach

👤This product has been used many times by me. It cooks rice well. I would wipe the inside of the rice cooker clean with a paper towel or sponge after the rice was done. It was coated with a fuzzy mold after I made some quinoa. Black mold was found behind the rubber seal and in the rolled aluminum that is part of the lid. Unless you take the entire product apart, it's impossible to clean it off. The rolled aluminum crease is still moldy. Don't buy this product. I don't think it's safe. Unless you like mold.

👤The rice cooker died today and no longer works. What a waste of money. I had one for $20 that lasted more than a year and never had the same issues. POS will probably never buy Hamilton Beach again. The worst rice cooker I've ever used is still there. I have had better luck with $12 ones. You can barely cook two cups of rice without the top blowing off, so if you think this thing has any redeeming qualities, rest assured: it does not. The rice is ruined. Unless you eat your rice right away, this rice cooker is garbage. A few hours on the warm feature and your rice is hard and there's a solid film on the bottom of the rice.

👤This thing takes forever to make rice, forever to steam something, forever to do anything. Brown, long stem rice, 2 cups, took almost 2 hours to finish. Are you serious? If you want to make rice for Tuesday dinner, you should plug the thing in on Monday noon, dump in your ingredients, and walk away. Good grief. The fastest thing it can do is make a pot of white rice. It takes 20 minutes to heat up before steaming veggies, so it's a joke. Sending it back was Needless to say. I can't imagine a reason to use this thing as a cooking device over a stovetop pan with a steamer insert and lid, which will do everything this does in a fraction of the time, with far less hassle. Does anyone make a steamer that is quicker and more convenient than the stovetop?

👤I bought this to be used as a rice cooker, and it takes 45 minutes to cook a bowl of rice. It is difficult to clean because it is one piece. You have to keep the lid open because the humidity inside will stay inside unless you clean it out. I bought another one that has a lid and bowl that you can take out and put away.

👤I like this rice cooker because it is small and I have a small living space. It cooks the rice well. I did not read the instructions on how to use the rice cooker, so the first attempt was a bad one. I was going to use my mom's bigger one. My bad. I read the instruction after tossing that batches out. Water and 4 cups of rice are needed to get to the 4th line. That is going to be a lot of rice. The rice button said 45 minutes after I hit it. I know how to plan my cooking time. When the 45 minutes were over, the instructions were to sit on the warmer for 15 minutes. I did. It came out perfect. I now have 6 cups of rice, but I don't have to cook it for a while. This was one of the better buys. I did this with the help of an Amazon Rep. They help me find the best and best price product by arrowing down my search. The reps can help with coupons and discounts. I don't know what I would do with it. Trista1372

2. Aroma 6 Cup Pot Style Cooker White

Aroma 6 Cup Pot Style Cooker White

Automatic keep warm feature keeps rice hot. 2 to 6 cups of cooked rice can be prepared. Simple, one-touch operation. It's great for soups, chili, and so much more. The glass lid has a full view. The inner pot is easy to clean. The serving spatula and measuring cup are included.

Brand: Aroma Housewares

👤I didn't get what was pictured in the listing. The steamer accessory is not the same as the model. I got a standard, simple Aroma basic model rice cooker, which has the same price, so I don't feel bad about it. I didn't get what was advertised. The picture is not of the correct model.

👤If you are expecting to get 6 cups of rice, be prepared for disappointment, I like the rice cooker, easy to clean, works well, but if you are expecting to get 6 cups of rice, be prepared for disappointment. If you read the instructions, you can get 6 Rice Cooker cups, which are only 1/3 US cup. You can get 4 1/2 cups of rice. It's a great little rice cooker if you can live with it. You should look elsewhere if you need 6 cups.

👤I wanted to replace my old rice cooker because we use a lot of rice. My old machine had a lot of different features, but I only used the rice cooker feature, so I decided I wanted a machine that only focused on cooking rice. I got more with this cooker. I've made plain white rice, jasmine rice, farrow, quinoa, bulger wheat, cous cous and also a rice pilaf from a package. Everything turned out perfect. I wish I had bought it a long time ago. Make sure to spray the inside with cooking spray lightly before you use it, it won't make a mess on the counter.

👤I bought a 3 cup rice cooker because I was looking for one. I've used it 3 times and it cooks the traditional Japanese rice well. It stays on as a warmer when cooking, which is something I don't like about it. I would like it to have an automatic off. The dark teflon coloring blends in with the fill lines and numbers that are difficult to see. If you have trouble with the bubbling over or spillage, try washing the rice. If you rinse the rice 10 times under water, you will be able to remove the starch from it. Even if the instructions say it doesn't need rinsing, rinse it. You will see a difference.

👤We eat a lot of dishes with rice. We were tired of making it in the microwave or on the stove. I will never look back after we bought a rice cooker. This one is easy to understand. It's easy to clean. Would recommend the investment.

👤It's a good product for the amount of money you're spending. The device is either warm or cook when plugged in. I would have gotten a rice bowl without the film if I'd known it was a non-stick film. I would recommend the product to potential buyers.

👤This Rice maker is perfect. It is easy to clean, and it is a great value.

👤This cooker is perfect for a rice cooker. It is very easy to use. There is no need to spend more money when this one works out. It's a good thing.

👤It's very easy to use, just throw everything in and turn it on. It's small and perfect for apartments and small families. Since I work from home, I save time. I don't need to be hovering over a stove.

👤It says it is a 6 cup rice cooker. If you tried to cook 6 cups of rice at a time it would over flow. I will return it.

👤The way to go sometimes is simple. The cooker is easy to clean and inexpensive. Rice came out perfect. I'm very happy.

👤I wanted a pot-style rice cooker that was easy to clean and didn't have places like in the lid for mold to grow. The rice cooker fit the bill. It is easily enough for 4-5 people and can make up to 3 cups of dry rice. It is simple and easy to use and clean, can't really ask for more. The rice is slightly burned. The bottom layer gets a bit charred, but once it is mixed in with the rest, there is no noticeable burnt taste.

👤Perfect rice is made by the love rice cooker.

👤Muy fcil de usar. Perfecta para comida de hasta 4 people. 100%.

4. Aroma Simply Stainless Uncooked Cooked

The rice cooker is a must-have kitchen tool in a small package. The 6-cup capacity is perfect for many dishes. A bonus rice spatula and measuring cup are included in the complete set. The spatula can be held in the handle for easy storage.

Brand: Aroma Housewares

👤The pot worked as expected, but it did have a tendency to bubble out through the cover lid vent. We returned it because the pot is not solid steel. It is plated and the interior began to oxidize after a few uses. I didn't want to risk my health by eating any of the plated material used in the fabrication of the "not so" pot. There are spots in the picture where the plating came off, exposing a different metal underneath. Maybe they are getting shortchanged by their supplier.

👤I've already done that and there's no need to over-think it. This is a cooker. There is no fuzzy logic. There are no different settings. When you press the button, it cooks rice. It's all over. See "SCIENCE!" for more information. At the end of the review. We got a rice cooker because I like the idea of making rice and Instant Pot at the same time. 1) The pot is made of steel. There is no non-stick coating. We bought it because of that. The base of the pot is shaped to sit on the heating element and transfer heat to the pot. I cook rice with butter to prevent it from sticking. Rice will stick to the bottom of the inner pot if left in " Keep Warm" for long enough. The solution? After serving out seconds, unplug the unit. If rice sticks, a quiet soak in the sink will loosen the hangers-on. Before cooking, I rinse the rice twice, first with cold water to over the top of the rice, and then with a strainer. This makes the rice taste and act like a restaurant rice. My understanding is that brown rice must be extra washed to make sure it doesn't come out sticky and cause the pit to bubble over. I use the cup that came with the pot. The measure is needed to fill the pot with 3 gou of rice. I bought a 4-year warranty on it. Why? Quality control standards make it more likely that the pot's element will go bad at some point, even if you look at different models. If the pot shoots craps, I get a new one for 2 bucks. It's all over. This little beauty is doing well so far. Science! How do you know when your rice is done? The same way your furnace knows that the room is warm. If the temp in the pot continues to rise, the heating element will be turned off. When the water has boiled off, the temp inside the pot begins to rise and the thermocouple turns off the high heat.

👤Don't buy it. The rice cooker is dangerous. It spits and splatters the contents and hot water. We can't use it as a result. I can't seem to get in touch with anyone from Aroma to get a refund or return the product.

👤Excellent quality and no TEFLon! When making rice, leave the cover off and make your steel cut oatmeal, but add raisins, cinnamon, or whatever you like. I don't believe this is a design flaw or can be avoided, but I do have a simple solution: prop a small dish on the cooker when making rice and splashing will be contained.

5. Toshiba Digital Programmable Uncooked One Touch

The mini rice cooker is the right size for a small family with easy storage and use. You will get a 1 year manufacturer warranty with your purchase from Toshiba. Brand: Toshiba

👤I have always bought Zojirushi brand. I might become a loyalist. A good rice cooker is important because I eat a lot of Asian rice. This one makes a really, really nice fluffy white sushi rice. I add less water for perfect individual grains. I don't know if it's related to the heavy and thick inner pot I've never used before. It was very easy to clean. It is easy to start another round of cooking when you open and close the cooker, but I think I am clumsy.

👤We bought our first rice cooker in South Korea in the 1980's and it lasted for 30 years, but we have bought many Chinese made low-price rice cooker in the past and they didn't last long. It cooks perfectly, it's perfect for our household, and it's also good for rice. It is worth every penny.

👤I have never had a cooker. I have been using my instant pot to make rice. I wasn't really happy with the results. Sometimes I wanted rice in addition to what I was cooking. I bought the Toshiba because it was small in size, had preset I was looking for and was reasonably priced. I've made rice 3 times using the same appliance. The rice I cooked in the instant pot was terrible, but the results were better. Brown rice is cooked for 1 hour and 20 minutes. That is very slow. I start cooking rice early. The results are perfect for me, so it's not an issue for me. The rice setting is quick. I have not used it. I cook by weight and not volume. I measure out my rice and water in grams and never use the cup or the water line marks on the pot. I always get the same water to rice ratio. The materials in the rice cooker seem to be strong. The cooking pot is 3 times thicker than the instant pots' pot. I think that provides more uniform heat distribution. I have only had the device for a few weeks, so I can't comment on its long term dependability. First impressions are very good.

👤We don't cook for a large family anymore so we need a smaller rice cooker. I'm glad I chose this cooker. It's well made and has thoughtful features. It's easy to clean. I like to make rice porridge overnight. I used to cook my breakfast in a slow cooker, but it would stick to the pot, making it difficult to clean up. Not with this little cooker. I add 50% more rice than the instruction says I should, and cook for 2 hours. I just put in a cup of Calrose rice, filled the water with the 0.5 marker, and pressed the Timer button to make sure it was done by the time I wanted it to. This is a good small rice cooker.

👤The new rice cooker is light weight and easy to carry, it's perfect for me. The rice comes out perfectly plump after being cooked. I love toshiba brands of rice cooker.

👤My husband doesn't like rice. I got a mini rice cooker for myself. It is great and I have had it for about a month. Put in the rice, put in the water and press cook. I wondered if the warming feature that takes over after cooking would make the rice over cook, but I have gotten perfect sticky rice the way I like it. The rice cooker takes up very little room and is very easy to clean up. It is not a big deal if it is unplugged to turn off. It comes with a measuring cup and directions but I use a 2 to 1 ratio and it works for me. It has been a year since I got my little pink cooker and it still works great. Jan. 15, 2022. I still like cooking in my mini rice cooker. It works like new and is easy to clean. I used it to make a yellow rice and it came out great. I can recommend this cooker.

👤When I received it, I was a little disappointed that it was small. It changed my mind when I used it. He makes a lot of rice, more than I thought it could fit in a small bowl. It is very easy to cook and keep it warm, you just push the bottom and it cooks. The rice is easy to clean. It's great for cooking rice for a family. Definitely recommend.

👤I made rice with the measuring cup and lines in the rice pot, but it was too watery. When I filled the measuring cup with rice, I dumped it in and then filled it with water, but it still made perfect rice. The product works well if you don't listen to their measurement, even though it lost one star.

👤I used to avoid making rice because it was a hassle, requiring vigilance, timing and temperature control, not to mention the mess left behind. This cute little non-stick gizmo makes perfect rice, sometimes for hours. It comes with a recipe booklet that shows you how to make a variety of dishes with it. The attractive cooker is in my kitchen. I think it's a great idea! A fine Dash product.

👤I think it is adorable. It looks like a toy to my bf, but for me it is just so cute. It is enough if it can contain the rice amount for 2 people at the same time. It takes 20 minutes to cook rice. I don't think it's a good idea to keep the rice warm. The rice became really dried after I left it overnight. Rice is our main meal every day. I know that I can always leave the rice in warm mode, even if it is only for a short time. I gave this 4 star rating because of that.

👤It's great for cooking a meal for one or two, or a side dish for a few people, and it's easy to clean in. You don't have to babysit the cooker.

Brand: Aroma Housewares

👤I have used this cooker for four years. If you're willing to work around some minor issues, you can get some good jasmine rice out of this. You should wash rice a few times before putting it on the counter. 2. When touching the top of jasmine rice, fill the water level to the first knuckle of your index finger. Plug in the cooker and press the down button to cook. 3. Rice will be cooked in 20 minutes. The button to cook will automatically pop up when it's time to cook. The bottom of the rice will be hard to clean if the cooker is unplugged immediately. The warm feature is useless. 4. The rice will stick to the bottom of the pot if the lid is removed immediately. It will be difficult to clean without being soaked in water for an hour. Put the rice pot on the cooker burner and set it aside to cool for five to ten minutes. The pot will be a breeze to clean if you remove the lid later to fluff up the rice. It's all about that. A good amount of rice for a couple of people.

👤I was hesitant to get this because of the reviews about the "ruins walls" and "burns/ruins rice". It makes steam. When you have it cooking, don't put it close to the wall or under the shelves in the kitchen, just set a timer, and it will be fine. There is no reason not to get this. It is perfect for 1-2 people. I've steamed whole chicken breasts and they cook great. It was a great buy and it was worth it.

👤I was looking for a food steamer. I am not a good cook, I have never been one who is natural in the kitchen. I wanted something simple that everything could be done at the same time and I was looking for more healthy options as well. Holy. Crap. This steamer makes me feel like I'm in a five star restaurant. A bit of a stretch. I bought this more than two months ago. I use it 3-4 times a week. I couldn't beat the price. I steam chicken, salmon, broccoli, asparagus, green beans, corn, and Brussel sprout in the bottom of my rice cooker. I feel like an amazing cook, but I didn't buy this sooner. If I ever get a boyfriend, I will blow him away with my very simple yet extravagantly simple cooking. It would be great to have a bigger size to make food for parties and meal prepping because I love this size for just me. I've got a lot of use out of my favorite purchase from Amazon.

👤I usually ignore one star reviews as the whiny minority and if you want to do the same stop reading now. Will it cook rice? Yes. Will it spray the floor, the counter, the cabinets, the wall, etc. Will it burn the rice to the bottom of the pot if it's done cooking? Yes. If you want to be happy when you cook rice, buy this cooker. You don't want to smash it with a hammer every time you use it, so spend a little more and get a one that you don't want. I would have liked to have. This cooker was never used by "Amazon" before it became an Amazon Choice.

Brand: Black+decker

👤This is the least expensive non stick cook ware on Amazon. I am a male who has a hard time doing anything for himself and I usually just go to the store and buy beef jerky and drink coffee, but this rice cooker has changed my life, I think. It has been two weeks. I've made nothing but rice and it has a marker on it that lets you know if you're about to make a mistake or not, because it does everything for you after you fill the water to the line. The instruction manual is so thick that I was scared at first, but sadly it is the same instructions repeated 36 times in 12 different languages for the same reason, to prevent idiots from melting the plastic dish that comes with the cooker. It doesn't tell you what the dish is for but it does tell you to remove it before you cook anything. It can't be used as a strainer because the holes are too big and it won't stick to the plastic. I'm pretty sure it comes with a wide spoon that I use to shovel it into my mouth. You can leave it on for six days or until your roommates discover you've left it on again while you're asleep, because it works like a toast. Don't touch the ring on the inside while it's plugged in. The instruction manual says not to do this, but I did it anyway, and now I have a layer skin missing on my right hand.

👤The experience of cooking rice with this thing is amazing. Rice that is refined or processed in a store bought state has a lot of starch on it. Before cooking, you need to wash your rice. If you want the water to remain clear when the rice enters it, you should use a strainer and submerging it in the water. If you cook rice without rinsing it will cause water to boil over and make a mess on the counter. It does this because of the boiling of the starch. I have cooked long grain, basmasti, and jasmine rice in these things. I didn't know why I waited so long to invest in these things. B&D, thanks!

👤After only a couple uses, the warrant replacement unit is emitting electrical smoke and clicking off before cooking is done, and it is constantly clicking off. We won't go there again after all the hassles we went through to get the replacement. We will cut our losses here. These things are not safe for your home. Our review stopped working after a few months, so please stay away from this product. The warranty hoops are insane, however it was encouraging that Black & Decker responded. You have to contact them to get an ID number. You have to email them with a hard to read code from your appliance. You get an email telling you to cut off the electrical prong and mail it to them. You have to send a letter and pay $6 for shipping at the same time. I don't want you to! They messed up, so this is an annoyance to you. Who is going to buy a silly $30 rice cooker? It will take me a month to get a replacement appliance. Who has the time to do this? We are buying a superior rice cooker from the same place as the one we are buying. You can return anything to the store. The manufacturer tosses it back to them. I recommend steering clear of Black and decker completely. After a short period of time, the Dustbuster no longer re-charges. After only 8 months, I stopped working. Will you help? Was working well, but suddenly died in the middle of cooking. There were no lights.

Brand: Aroma Housewares

👤What a machine. It was better than expected. It's perfect for an easy snack. I was very excited about the cooker. I made myself a quick lunch after giving it a quick wash. I had some food. The 2 cups of rice were filled. I put the veggies and shrimp on the steamer tray. Pushed the button. Went for a shower. It took about 20 minutes to have perfect rice with steamed shrimp and vegetables. It was perfect. I can't wait to try different sauces. If you're thinking about this. Just do it. No regrets!

👤About six months ago, I bought this. If it's small, it can cook 1 to 1/2 cups. The coating on the bottom started to come off after we used it. I was in denial that this was happening. We have been using it for a long time, just looking at it and asking questions, and now realize that it is what is happening. The cooking water has started bubbling out in the last few months, leaving rice water stains on nearby surfaces. I am not happy.

👤My husband's old rice cooker broke and I bought this one to replace it. We didn't necessarily need a huge one, but this one was much smaller. The way the parts fit together was odd. They didn't really fit together. The pan that sits inside the warmer is wobbly-like because it doesn't seat itself in there. The steaming tray fit in on top of that, but we found out that it wasn't big enough for the rice, shredded chicken and veggies we put in there. We wanted to put the steamer in on top so we could cook the veggies in there, but we didn't have enough room for the steamer tray, so we just put the veggies into the pot with the rice and left the tray out. We went to see if it did a good job, but we discovered that the rice was burned. It was burned so badly that it had a very distinct, kind of gross flavor. We weren't happy. We tried it again with the rice, after we thought we were expecting too much from it, so we decided to take it one step further. It was also burned on the bottom. We decided that we were going to return it. Remember how I said the parts didn't fit together? It's nearly impossible to get that thing back into it's original box. It took me about 45 minutes of rearranging the order of everything before I was able to close the box. This is just a very odd piece of equipment. I didn't like the way it was performed.

👤Do not buy this cooker. The Teflon surface chips off when it cooks the rice, but it works well. We only use plastic utensils to remove the rice. It doesn't matter. It keeps chipping away. I will let you know in a year or two if Teflon is a carcinogen. I went to Amazon to buy a cooker.

👤I thought I'd post the info here for those that might be interested, because it took us awhile to get the recipe and proportions correct, but we love our rice cooker and it makes amazing tadiq. 1.5, 2, and 3 cups of dried rice can be used at sea level. You need to experiment if you need larger proportions. The cook time is 15 minutes. You just have to add 15 min at some point during the cooking because the timer only lasts for 1 hour. The included plastic rice measuring cup is smaller than a standard cup, so we use a standard size measuring cup. We rinse our rice before putting it in the cooker. 1.5 cups of rice, 2.5 cups of water, butter, oil, and salt are used.

👤Wow! This thing is great. I have trouble making Persian rice on the stove. No more! This cooker is very easy to use. It makes perfect tadig. It works for any amount of rice. I have tried 3 cups, but this recipe works for more than 3 cups. I wash in the pan. Add salt to the water and cover the rice with it. I add a little bit to every 3 cups. Add some oil. I add a quarter cup of oil to every 3 cups of rice. Set to 1 hour. There is a While cooking, I crush some saffron and grind with salt to a powder, and then add it to a cup of boiling water. Let's sit. 10 minutes before the timer is done, I add a half stick of butter to the rice and saffron water to it. Let it cook for 10 minutes. Perfect rice!

👤The instructions are a joke. Look them up for yourself, take my word for it. The real cooking part of the instructions is step 6. We tried it and after trial and error, it makes a really good fried bottom rice with the rest of the body of the rice creamy. I'm glad we didn't return it because the instructions are horrible and even searching for videos online produced useless results. I would give it 4 stars if the introduction was comprehensive and I would give it 5 stars if the recipe suggestions were included.

👤I am shocked that someone could sell a product in the US with instructions that are filled with spelling and grammatical errors. The makers didn't bother with proof. These errors make no sense. I learned that for up to 4 cups of rice, use a half cup more of water. For more than 4 cups of rice, use 6 cups of water. I use 1/3 cup of oil for 4 cups of rice. Whatever you do, don't go by their recommended oil usage. You will end up with a lot of rice. I use a pale colored blend of olive oil and avocados. Works well. There are three I cook 4 cups of rice for 60 minutes and it comes out perfect. * If you add 20 more minutes, you will get more than 4 cups. Maybe one light stirs but no more is needed. The lid doesn't have a rubber seal so the whole time it whistles, it can definitely be improved upon. Once you get the hang of it, it works.

Brand: Aroma Housewares

👤We bought our first copy of this unit in 2016 and have had more experience with it than the average reviewer. This model of rice cooker is one of the different colors. We bought one from America's Test Kitchen because our long-lived little bargain-brand rice cooker finally bit the dust after more than ten years of use. When our first Aroma unit arrived, we were generally pleased with its appearance, but the insert pot seemed very thin and cheap. It should have been the first sign of things to come. The first batches of rice came out okay. The unit failed one day after being used for a couple months. We found our rice in a pool of water when we opened it, despite the unit's claim that it had cooked it. I was dismayed that the company would not service or exchange units. They knew their product would fail quickly. I tried looking up the company on-line and found an 800 number, so I thought "what the heck." The person who answered was nice and offered a replacement. Joy! The new unit arrived a couple weeks ago. It lasted a few months before giving up. I got a replacement and began using it. After a few weeks, it failed. After a few months, I received a fourth copy that also failed. The unit failed to cook but declared that it was done. The four were treated according to instructions and still look brand new. I don't think they care since they have my money and know I will eventually give up, but at no point did the company have me send a failed unit back which would have told me they know what's wrong. The employees I talked to on the 800 line were nice about the company, which was run by someone with no morals. Four failed rice cooker are sitting around the house. I don't recommend buying anything from Aroma Housewares. I ordered a Zojirushi.

👤Okay. I'll give it five stars based on the rice it produces and the design. It makes rice, white, brown, wild, etc., as well as other grains. It has a measuring cup. The water level marks inside are easy to see, but they are for the number of cups of grain you use. Why is the cup about 1/3 cup? The standard Japanese rice serving measure is 1-gou. That's not a big deal. The water marks inside are not a problem. One measure of water and one measure of rice. I know. That is different from the usual ratio. At first, there is a little bit of learning to do. I use more water with brown rice. Some rices need more water than others. You can have more water, but you don't want to have too much because the rice will be less prepared. I forgot about the little measuring cup and used a full one cup measure but added water to the line for two gou. I got a bit underdone rice. The cooker knows when the water is absorbed. The temperature cannot rise above the sea level if there is free water in the pot. When the pot temperature rises to about 212F, the only thing you need to do is stop cooking. It works for all grains. When the water is gone, the cooker doesn't know when the rice is done. You will see different ratios recommended by different rice cooker recipes. People use 1.5:1 for white rice. The 2:1 ratio makes Quinoa happy. If you use enough water for the grain to be fully cooked, anything close will work. If you use more water than you need, cooking will continue until absorbed. It might get a little softer than you want. You can fix it when you open the pot. Just add a little more water and the cycle will start again. The cooker knows when the water is absorbed. That's a great feature of a rice cooker. It doesn't have to be watched and can peak under the lid.
