👤Good value for a good price. I have experience with luggage as a pilot. The suitcase I use for the hundred or more flights I make each year has the features I need in a suitcase: strong zippers, edge protection, strong handles, good quality in line wheels, and a good grade extending. If you want your suitcase to follow you, get inline wheels. Casters are trendy but not always where they want to go. Pick up your suitcase by the extended handle only if you have to. Lift with the fixed hand grip. The handle will eventually come out. Before you give the suitcase to someone, make sure you use the button on the handle yourself. They will try to push it down, past the locking prong, or try to lift it by the handle. You will treat your luggage better than anyone else.

👤The customer service is what makes this set one star. We packed the bags up and headed to the airport for an adventure. The handle on the large bag wouldn't extend when we arrived at the airport. It was too late to do anything about it, so I just struggled with it. It seemed that the luggage was not durable enough after it was torn in the second largest bag. We requested that Amazon return the set. We were referred to the seller who told us that it couldn't be returned because it was used. I wonder how one would know that. If one had not used it, it was faulty. The seller sent us to the manufacturer who said that it could not be returned, but it could be repaired or replaced under the warranty. Okay. We were sent a form to fill out, but we had to read the entire warranty before filling it out. Done. They wanted to have pictures for each of the damaged cases, as well as the front of the cases. No one had to scroll down to see the complete picture of the pictures. Really? The invoice from Amazon had to be sent in jpeg. form. Okay. Got it. We had to fill out a form stating the model number of each case which was to be obtained from the tag that came on the case. I always save them. You can get it by going onto the company's website and looking at the number. There is no information on the web site about the model number of individual cases. I filled out the form with my name, address, city, state, country, email, and everything else except the hospital I was born in 72 years ago. Great! Ready to leave! I hit send and error messages. I was surprised that the location of the house I have lived in for 36 years is not there. To the drawing board again. I deleted all the information from the form and re-entered it, making sure it was all correct. Hit send. There is no such location. I wrote to the company again to let them know that I intended to write a bad review. My review was not answered for a week. I would be happy to donate this set of luggage if anyone would like it. I rarely write reviews but this one needed to be written.

Brand: Amazon Basics

👤The only bag I found that fit the bill was the 18inch model, which was the only bag that fit the dimensions of the personal item maximum. I measured it myself and it matches the dimensions of the personal item bag at the airline. I've been able to fit it under the aisle, middle, and window seats and have never been asked to put it in their size test bins. The front pouch has some space in it so you can put stuff in it before the bag gets stretched over the 8 inch depth limit. This bag is also used for my laptop. I was very happy to find this bag.

👤Update! I now have the 18 inch in navy blue and the 21 inch in black. I work as a flight attendant. I use this suitcase for about 4 days a week. I wheel my luggage through the parking lot and airport several times a day, and it's rough on it. It's the perfect size for my needs and it's been holding up nicely. I get a lot of praise for it. I got the larger black for winter to hold more stuff. I pack a lot in my little blue. I will use my little blue for summer and big black for winter when I need to pack more outerwear. I can't recommend it enough for the price.

👤Is this little thing deserving of 5 stars? I am a traveler and I was looking for an EU approved carry on that was not heavy for my elderly parents. I didn't think this carry on would have all of the advantages: it is light weight, I was able to pack 3 changes of clothes, their medication, and books, and it is heavy. The most important thing is that it was light. The Amazon basic was a gem compared to my mini Samsonite where I could barely pack anything in addition to my laptop and light summer clothes. I don't expect it to last but I will let you know that my mom rests her legs on it while waiting to board and that they used it twice. The handle is made of light metal so maybe it will give in with time. I can't believe it's so cheap, my carry on was close to $200, but if you're picky about that, Amazon Basic is not the prettiest logo. Take a chance on this gem.

👤I ordered it and here are my impressions. The measured sizes are 13 wide, 9 deep, 18 tall, and exclude wheels. The handle is extended to 41" above the floor. I am 6'4 and either height is good for rolling with 4 wheels and 41" is best for pulling. The handle is a little wobbly, but it is better than most. I expect the wheels to hold up well because they are a little better made. The bag is a little heavier than most of the others, and the material is stiff, but it seems to be taking the normal abuse very well. The bag has hand grips on both sides to carry or lift it. The flap is stiff but can hold several items, and the outer pocket is not padded to good. This is the smallest bag I could find. The bag is well made, and it is a good small spinner carry on bag.

3. Samsonite 56846 2849 Checked Large Brushed Anthracite

Samsonite 56846 2849 Checked Large Brushed Anthracite

The 28" spinner luggage is the ideal checked bag for long trips. The packing dimensions are 28.0" X 19.75" X 12.5" and the overall dimensions are 31.0" X 20.0" X 12.75". 10 year limited warranty. Their products are tested to make sure they meet strict standards. The bag has a 10-year warranty against defects. The lightweight spinner wheels are multi-directional for effortless mobility. The side mounted locks of the TSA make it easy for you or a agent to access your belongings when traveling. Compression keeps clothing neatly pressed and you can pack more items. The custom design on the front and back shells hides any scratches or scuffs from your journey.

Brand: Samsonite

👤I purchased a spinner for personal and business travel. The suitcase is large and has multiple pockets. I am aware that this will likely be scratched after being loaded and unloaded. The lock feature is something I like. It's made of plastic and people have commented on its integrity. I'll use one of my approved locks if it breaks. This isn't a necessity, but rather a nice-to-have. It comes with a soft cover. I don't think there's a better suitcase on the market. It looks good, has a quality name, and will fit in with other business travelers, who have often paid 4-5x the price. Thank you for rating my comment.

👤The looks of the luggage is different to other luggage. We have 6 of these, both carry on hard cases. When the bag is free at the gate, I check it occasionally. My credit card allows me to get a free checked bag, so we always check the larger versions when we are on extended travel. The bars of the handle became bent due to the gorilla baggage handler in over 60 flights last year. I opened the case and made a fix by hammering and rearranging the assembly. If you're a good packer, the carry on hard case is enough for 4 days of clothing. There are scratches on the wheels and case that are caused by plastic being rubbed onto the finish that comes off with a cleaner. The soft case on top is easy to carry around the airport with, and the case can fit down the seat aisle on all 4 wheels. After more than four years, still working well, and over 1000 flights now. It shows wear and tear on the wheels, but it looks brand new. I traveled for 20 weeks and over 60 flights last year with this little case, and I'll pass on a few hints I use to pack if anyone is interested. Less wrinkling is achieved by the fewer folds. Don't fold small with undergarments, undershirts, socks, etc. They should be placed on top of other clothing in a thin layer. Place the dress shirts in the top section and fold them in 3rd. I pack dry hair in a pencil case. There is a heavy duty freezer bag. Carry your personal items in a soft carry on to avoid spills and save space. unpack as soon as possible. Purchase some zip-lock style shrink bags. I use these to store worn clothes for the trip back, and they create a lot of space when packing to come home. It is easy to vacuum seal by covering a hotel pillow and laying on it. Wrap your shoes with plastic shopping bags to protect them from spills. They can be used in CA without bags at grocery stores. I carry a back pack with my iPad, MacBook, toiletries, and a few snacks, a collapsable water bottle, and a small bag. I try to change my clothes at least a day before I check my hard case to make sure it doesn't get lost. Maybe there's something in there you can use to add to what works for you.

4. SwissGear 6283202161 Sion 21 Black

SwissGear 6283202161 Sion 21 Black

The Rolling Suitcase is a stylish carry-on luggage with a locking retractable push/ pull handle and multi-directional spinner wheels. The luggage is 21 x 12.75 x 10.25 inches and has packing dimensions of 22.50 x 14.25 x 10.25 inches. The Expandable travel case is made from a durable, scuff-resistant polyester fabric and has a fully lined interior to give you ample parking space. The luggage bag maximizes packing efficiency with a large mesh lid pocket and packing pocket for holding small items and accessories. The roller suitcase has an integrated side and bottom handle that makes it easy to carry your luggage.

Brand: Swissgear

👤The suitcase is 21" tall. It is actually 23". It is larger than the dimensions have been given. The maximum dimensions for most U.S. airlines are 22x14x9. The carry on box is too small to fit this case.

👤I bought a similar one a decade ago and have traveled the world with it. I bought this because they're the same brand and size. I have only had it a few months and have taken two trips. I'm a little disappointed. I have taken 5 trips with this bag. I can't use the broken handle. The warranty can only be valid with a receipt from the official website. Don't waste your money!

👤The suitcase seems well made, but the handle is not. The handle is wobbly and doesn't lock when you only extend it half way, which is what I did for the first time. It's difficult to get out of the way. If your suitcase is tight, it gets stuck going in and out. I might think this was a coincidence, but my husband has had to replace the handle on his suitcase twice in the last year or so, after only a couple of years of use, and I realized after purchasing that this is the same suitcase. I'm already outside the return window when I use it and the handle doesn't work right, so it might be going the same way.

👤Don't buy these products. They have a 5 year warranty. I bought luggage from them that only lasted 8 months. I ended up paying over $100 in baggage fees. It will cost you a lot more than the products are worth. Don't buy this product because it's a lie.

👤I bought this bag a year ago. Not new. I expect my luggage to last more than a year. I travel about 10 times a year for work and 3-4 times for vacation. I don't travel every week. I was traveling in September last year and one of the wheels got stuck. It wouldn't work after that. I didn't travel again until the holidays because of the bag problem. I purchased it because I could no longer wheel it standing up. I tried to take it to Florida, but the bag is useless. It was like dragging a dead body. My bag has been with me for 4 years. I purchased this bag because I wanted to be able to wheel it upright, which was less demanding on my back.

👤I tried out the telescopic handle when I first received it, after reading through prior reviews, and ordering this to replace my old SwissGear carryon. It went up and down. Great! The first time I used it, the handle went up when I was walking through the airport, but then it stayed down, refusing to come back up again. I was walking through the airport carrying my suitcase, kicking it, and trying to steer it as it rolls. I had a train to catch so I was trying to move quickly. The metal rod inside the telescoping section is not where it should be, so the catch won't be reliable when the button is pushed to move the handle up/down. I think I can fix it, but it's not good to have to repair a brand new case. The fixed handles, wheels, sides, and telescoping handles all hold up well so far, but the telescoping handle is a big deal because it only works when it feels like it. I don't expect much from SwissGear. If I can find a replacement for the broken piece of plastic worth less than a dollar, I can fix it. The rod inside the handle should look similar to the photo on the right. The handle won't work because half the piece of plastic is broken off, so it doesn't stay on the rod, and the button on the handle is useless.

5. DELSEY Paris Small Carry Cobalt

DELSEY Paris Small Carry Cobalt

There are lots of interior pockets for small items. A large easy access front compartment with an integrated padded sleeve for up to a 15.6 inch laptop and 2 mesh pockets for last minute items such as tickets, passport or books. The double spinner wheels assure exceptional maneuverability and keep zero weight on your arm. This suitcase has the largest capacity and can be expanded up to 2 inches for additional packing space. This feature is great for souvenirs. This carry on bag has a comfortable handle system that locks into two positions for easy use. The weight is 8.2 lbs. Two large fully-lined compartments with multiple pockets allow easy access and organization for all of your items. Web straps and a divider help protect clothing. The overall dimensions are 21.25 x 14 x 9 inches. The weight is 8.2 lbs. There are two full packing compartments with tie-down straps. You can comfortably lift with the side carry handles.

Brand: Delsey Paris

👤My partner and I travel a lot for work and pleasure, so we got this suitcase for about 3 months. I did extensive research on the pros and cons of different types of wheels and luggage. The Aero Delsey line was always one of the top rated luggage lines. We bought a whole set, the 29", 25" and 2 of the smallest ones, the 19", that can fit in an overhead bin. If you travel a lot like we do, you should get the 3rd party warranty as it covers everything and is well worth it. It's great for storage that all of the sizes fit inside one another. If you have never used hard luggage before, you have to learn how to pack and open it. Don't leave all of your stuff in the hotel. If you are looking for luggage, I would suggest thinking about a couple of things. The wheels are so important, these spinners are great make sure that no matter which luggage you end up buying, make sure the wheels are double-sided, some of the cheaper ones have single wheels, and even more expensive brands have single wheels. If you are the type of person that likes to setup a luggage stand and live out of your suitcase, then these may not be the best option. Since items are stored evenly on each side, you have to open the suit case to get to everything, and pack and unpack it, just something to consider. In the 3 months we have had these, we have traveled 2 times internationally and 4-5 times domestically, and they have held up well. The side handles, retractable handle and wheels have not had any issues. The lock works well on the side and the inside is great. The best part about this model is that you can fit a lot of things in it and it also has a zipper expander, but we have not needed to expand it any. The luggage is very stylish and has taken it right into meetings with me. If you have a specific question, I will show you a few photos that have been worn, but most people travel less in a year than we do.

👤After four years of heavy international travel, the luggage is undamaged with no damage to the interior or exterior. It was the highest recommendation. The key to purchase was a hard sided bag, the unit opens flat for packing, one side has a cover that can be closed, and the other side has a strap that secures the contents. The overall size of the unit and ability to pack enough clothes were the initial concerns that were raised.

👤I was excited to get this luggage from Delsey. It looks modern, great wheels, handle is well constructed and it looks like one of the more expensive cases but the truth is it's made of a cheap plastic mold. The suitcase cracked on the bottom and up the side after only 6 segments. I have a suitcase for less than 8 months. The luggage has a 2 year warranty which is worthless if it doesn't cover the actualy plastic case. The handle is stuck if the stitching is coming apart. Your item would be repaired in these cases. Damage such as wearing down of the plastic wheels or a crack in the plastic is usually caused by outside forces and will not be covered. That is complete BS. It's luggage. It's going to be thrown away by airline workers. This should not have broken. I paid more for a hardshell because of the reviews. Don't waste your time on this suitcase. I'm out all of the money because neither the seller, manufacturer or Amazon are willing to stand behind the sale. Very disappointing.

6. American Tourister 92504 T555 Carry On Marble

American Tourister 92504 T555 Carry On Marble

The 21 inches Spinner Luggage is light enough to fit most carry size restrictions for those traveling domestically and looking to stay light. The overall dimensions are 22” x 15”x 9.5” and the weight is 8.2 pounds. American Tourister products are rigorously tested to ensure they meet stringent standards, and this bag comes with a 10 year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The book opening case has a divider and straps in the main compartment. Four, Multi Directional Oversized Spinner Wheels are lightweight and easy to use. Compression keeps clothing neatly pressed and you can pack more items. Push Button locking handles make it easy to extend out from the suitcase and store it inside when not in use.

Brand: American Tourister

👤I felt that the suitcase would be a quality piece of luggage, since it is American Tourister. It holds a lot of items and the wheels, handles, and zippers are great. No doubt about that. The quality is my disappointment. I checked this piece on my flight. The luggage was in mint condition when checked. I was disappointed when I retrieved it at my destination and it was covered in scratches, black scratches and dents. I was sad to see that this piece did not hold up better and now looks like trash, because I realized that airlines aren't very careful with how they handle luggage.

👤I have to return this luggage because of the smell. When I opened the luggage, I didn't notice that the cloth liner had a zip on it that allowed you to get to the inside of the luggage. I immediately smelled a chemical smell when I opened that fabric. I checked the tags on the handle and found that they stated that the product could expose you to chemicals that are known to cause cancer in California. Also, etc. I live in Pennsylvania, but my suitcase does include this hazard, so I applaud California for being so responsible. This luggage is going to be returned.

👤I bought this carry on at the end of December. I was looking for a carry on. I liked the over all appearance of this one. This is a high quality product and you can tell it by looking at it. The wooden floor has wheels rolling on it. The wheels have a slightly harder time on my rug, but still has an easy time in my opinion. Will be traveling at the end of January and will post another review after its first voyage! This review was not sponsored. A customer wants to give other consumers a good idea of what the product looks like. I'm happy with my carry on so far.

👤The design and color are great. It was easy to maneuver through airports and in the aisle of the plane. Lifting it into the overhead bin was easy. I was able to put it in the overhead bin for the airlines. I had a lot of room in it because it held three days worth of clothes, a pair of shoes and a lot of other things. The handle is flimsy, but held up well. The bars for the pull handle make the side with the handle shallower than the side with the pull handle. Since the clothing security strap is on that side, you can't put your stuff on that side. The opposite side of the zipper is deeper and would be better for clothes. The security strap would be perfect if it were switched. I used this as a checked bag for the first time and there were tons of scratches and scruffs that didn't come off. I was thinking of getting the 28” one to match, but it was too bad.

👤I had fun taking it all around. It feels like double the room of an average suitcase when packing because of the beautiful design inside and out. The inside pattern is invisible to me because my stuff covered everything. It does get scratched because of how they throw it around, but it is nothing major, I got the marble design for that reason. I went away for a week for my first use of it.

7. Traveler Expandable Luggage 14 Inch 21 Inch

Traveler Expandable Luggage 14 Inch 21 Inch

The chrome telescopic handle is Sturdy. The construction is made of Polyester. The handle system is self-locking for easy maneuvering. The tote bag can be carried together with the piggyback-bag strap. The fully lined interior has tie-down straps and a large meshed pocket. The feature offers more packing capacity. Inline skate wheels have reinforced wheel housing. There is a padded shoulder strap on the tote. The tote bag has a dimensions of 14W x 10H x 6D and the rolling bag has a dimensions of 21H x 13W. Expands to a weight of 6.6 lbs.

Brand: U.s. Traveler

👤I flew to DeLTA. It was only 25 lbs., and it fit in the carry on perfectly. I packed for a 5 day trip from a warm climate to a cold area. Bigger bag has knee high boots, pea coat, pr of flats, 8 t-shirts, 2 long sleeved shirts, 2 pr jeans, 2 pr pajama bottoms, 3 pr leggings, and a dress. A small bag includes a big book, cell phone, extra sweater, makeup bag, hairbands, and paperwork for the trip. I'm sure I'm missing a few things, but you get the point. The bags are small, but you can fit a lot in them. I got it in the green color because it was the cheapest and I needed them fast. The color is a bit darker than the picture, but I like it. The bigger bag had a lock. I still use it for any and every trip, even for an overnight excursion. Highly recommend.

👤I recommend this set to everyone. I won a blue set from an Amazon contest and was looking for luggage for our Christmas vacation. I ordered 3 more sets, the yellow set, the purple set and the green set. The carry on size is correct and the smaller bag can fit under the set on the plane. My kids were able to handle their luggage. The smaller bag fits perfectly on top of the bigger bag.

👤We got a Travel Select set 12 years ago, and I wanted a second set to go with it. I read the reviews about the handle breaking and thought it was a mistake and could get a $40 deal. The handle on this is poised to break due to poor design. I hope the video is helpful. The handle elements on either side of the sliding bar don't slide out at the same time. The lagging side has to be manually pulled to meet the push pin. The material is thinner and lighter than our previous set. The bag is the same height and length, but it is much shorter. I can tell you that this set wouldn't hold up for a single trip, let alone 12 years worth. I went back to look at the Travel Select set after seeing this in person. I didn't go with it because of shipping time. I'm not sure if it's the same quality as it was 12 years ago. I might be spending a bit more money for something that is hopefully made better, but who knows? Nothing is made well anymore because of the culture of quick, cheap and expendable.

👤I bought this set for a vacation where we were flying Allegiant which charges for carry-on luggage and are supposedly strict about the sizes. Even though the small bag is not maximized for under-seat space, it still holds a large amount of stuff. I used the set for business travel but didn't carry a small bag on the last trip. It's hard to get things in and out of the laptop when it's full because it has one opening. For a week on the road, I can just get two pairs of pants, 5 button down shirts, 5 T-shirts, underwear, socks, a pair of shorts, two casual shirts, pajama bottoms, a pair of dress shoes, a pair of flipflops and a light jacket. I put things like reading glasses andusb plugs in the large compartment. In the small one. I thought I was a genius for choosing an orange bag when I saw the bag at the carousel. I didn't feel so good because my orange material was accumulating black streaks at an alarming rate. It has held up well so far. I hold my breath when I pull the zippers tight, there is no sign of separation or breaking. The fabric is showing wear from the airport handling and the streaks. I haven't had a problem with the wheels or handle. Even though the bag was over packed, I was still able to cram it into the CRJ700 overhead. I had to hook one wheel at a time. I have had this bag for 2 years now and my job changed to traveling 3-4 times per month. The orange bag has stuck to me. We have been to countless airports, car rental lots and hotels with it. I am no longer gentle with the handle or even slightly concerned with over-stuffing it. I haven't had a problem with the bag, the wheels, or the zippers. The baggage carts are still stained. I don't use the small bag for air travel.

8. Travelpro International Expandable Rollaboard Suitcase

Brand: Travelpro

👤Please give me a thumbs up for my review. I only write reviews to help others. I don't get compensated for any products I buy, and I write what I experience in order to make Amazon Reviews better for us all. The Travelpro Maxlite 5 22" is a great carry-on. This bag is slightly larger in dimensions than the US domestic restrictions for some airlines, but it's easy to fit into overhead bins. I flew with this bag on all of the planes. Gate agents didn't even look at the bag and I didn't stand out with it. The travellers who were trying to stuff large duffels were told to check their bags. The bag is made of nylon mesh and other high quality materials. The wheels are sturdy. I pulled my bag across the city. The bag is stable and upright when pulled. I wanted to gain more interior room in the bag by buying the two-wheeled version. I was able to pack 3 suits and dress shirts, along with some golf shirts, shorts, jeans, socks and other small items, because I bought a suit protectors on Amazon. It doesn't have to look overstuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey. The padded side handle makes it easy to get to your seat on a jet and the bag is easy to pull down the aisle. The bag is light and makes use of space without making it heavy. The zippers are easy to access. If you are forced to gate check, the main compartment zippers have connecting loops so you can put a lock on your bag. Before you go through the security checkpoint, there's a front pocket that holds your phone and travel documents. You can go through the airport without beingmolested if you empty your pants pockets easy. I prefer not to have personal interactions with the people at the airport. The bag's front section has space for a thin laptop or iPad. It's easy to get situated on a plane because of the easy access. I can see packing for a 5 day trip in this bag and adding a backpack to get to 7 days total. The bag is a great value and I can see it lasting many years. With bag fees going from $25 to $30, buying and owning a bag like this is no longer a problem. If you use it a few times, it will pay for itself. You need this bag for travel. Buy it. You can come back and say thank you later.

👤The bag I purchased was labeled "Slate Green", but it is actually black. The bag does not come in green according to the manufacturer. The International Expandable Rollaboard has an exterior dimensions of 21.5" x 15.75" x 7.75", which is 45 linear inches. This is in line with the carry-on requirements for many airlines. The weight of the interior is 5.4 lbs. The volume on the label is 45 liters. I already own the bag that I love as a carry-on, but I wanted another bag that was sturdy enough to check it, and also fit most carry-on requirements. The shell of the Ozone is soft, so things inside might get crushed. The Travelpro bag looks great. It seems sturdy and well-built, with the padded fabric handles on the top and side. The wheels are solid. The expansion section is a nice feature, but it may be too large for some airlines. It's nice if that's not an issue. There is a large outside pocket that is the full length of the top flap, and a smaller compartment that is about 6.5" deep, and it looks like it would hold up to a 17" laptop. It's great for keeping your boarding pass. The interior is a light-colored plaid fabric, which I prefer to black since it's easier to see things in. There is a large mesh pocket on the top flap and a small interior pocket on the side of the main compartment. This piece is also in a "spinner" version.

👤This suitcase is very good. It was the first hard case I've ever bought. I am satisfied, but I wish I had more information before I bought it. If you are buying your first hard case, read these important tips. The case closes with a ZIPPER. It doesn't have a door. Hard cases that are only made of shirless material are more vulnerable to malfunction because of the stress and wear that the zippers can experience. If the case splits, you can use a latch to keep it closed, but you may find yourself in a situation where you need to check your bag at the airport. If you buy this case, you should also buy luggage straps. Luggage straps are very effective to keep your case closed and will help prevent damage to the zip. You can write your initials on luggage straps with a permanent marker. This will help identify your bag in a busy airport and make the straps less desirable for thieves. I wanted to have plenty of space to pack for long international trips so I bought a very large version of the case. I wish I'd bought a smaller size because filling up a case like this with normal items will put you over the airline weight limits and be very heavy to lift. The case is very light, but I can only fill it up about 75% to avoid paying the "excess weight" fees. With the case being 25% empty, I have a lot of open space in the bag. When I arrive at my destination, I often find my belongings disorganized. I will buy a suitcase that is a tad bit smaller so I can fill it all. My belongings would be more secure when they were filled to 90- 100%.

👤My last carry on suitcase served me well for over a dozen years, and I used it on many trips, usually over-stuffed, through the winter weather, slush and rain, and dragged across the cobble-stone streets in Berlin. I admitted it was time to move on after the handle ripped off and the inner lining tore a small hole on my most recent trip. My initial inclination was to buy cheap, I have student loans and I don't need fancy luggage. I was looking at options in the $30 - $40 market and there were some that looked ok. I would read the reviews and see if they had broken on the first trip, or had stuck wheels. I put off the purchase for a while because I was not happy. I was startled by how flimsy some of the models were when I looked at them in person. They were not built to handle the abuse of air travel. I put off the decision again. My flight is Friday morning, and I didn't purchase a suitcase this week. I pull my old carry-on out of storage and debate if I should take it on one last journey. The suitcase doesn't want anything. I have to go back to Amazon again to find this suitcase. It's not cheap, but it's not expensive, and it's sturdy in the photos. I bite the bullet if I'm still undecided. The suitcase arrived in time for my flight. When I thanked my roommate for carrying the box upstairs, she commented on how light it was. As soon as I opened it, I was relieved that it was a strong and sturdy suitcase. The handle is long and slides out easily, unlike the other flimsier models. Wheels seem to be good quality. The body is scratch resistant and has a good quality. There's a lock. It's useful for people who overpack because it holds a lot of stuff for how small it is. There is an update. Over the holidays, the suitcase held up perfectly on four flights, but two of them had to be checked because the flight was full. It was easy to travel with, it was rolled smoothly and easily, and there were no signs of wear.

👤In the first few months of the year, I purchased three sets, each of three sizes. Last week was the first time that a blue set was used and the top of the large case split in two. The case only carried 40 pounds of clothes. The time has come to return the luggage. I use one of the other sets for extensive business travel and I'm now thinking this was a bad $450 decision. The split of the case is not a good indication of the case's dependability. The return policy is more important. It is your problem after 30 days. The company contacted me within 24 hours and replaced the case that developed the crack. Three sets of luggage with three pieces have been purchased, and all other cases have held up well. I am very happy with the resolution.

👤I love the luggage set. I did a lot of research. It is good that this line is from cool life. They are shiny and will get scratched up when flying. There are different sizes for different travel days. I would buy it again.

👤We are very pleased with this set. The largest piece has been on four plane rides with a teenager. It is in great condition, except for a few small scratches. The wheels move as they are supposed to. We've even had travelers who commented on the quality of the set. They nest inside one another when not in use. They are lightweight, but sturdy. We're very pleased with the purchase.

👤We bought luggage on Amazon for our trip to South America. The best value was the Coolife expandable 3 Piece. It is easy to manage. It is easy to fill up and exceed weight limits because it is so large. Definitely recommend!

👤I have been satisfied with the luggage from the beginning. The packaging was great. I have only used the suitcase for a short time, but it's amazing. I was able to fit everything I needed without opening the extension zip up. I am not a light packer. The wheels are light, but they are also strong and the zippers are strong. The wheels on my suitcase made it easy to push around. This is a very good and recommend to everyone.

👤This is a color that I like. I was indecisive because color always looks different from a picture. I knew that the purple would have been the same as the blue because I saw that it was a bit darker. I ordered it and I absolutely love it. The extender is not as strong as my other hardcase, but I'm okay with that. The material inside is thicker than the one outside. It is extendable, which means you can pack more stuff. You can't dislike these luggages. I am going to use them for a week so I can see if they can handle airport trauma. I like them more than the blue that I see in the pictures.

👤The bags looked good when I received them. Light and easy to roll. We went on our trip after packing. Domestic in the US. The bag is popped after we pick it up. There is a conveyer belt. I opened and closed the door. It closed again but in the commotion of having to check the conveyer for other items and closing my bag again at baggage claim, I lost a bag with my headphones, phone and neck pillow. On our third flight, we arrived home. The bag was closed when I saw the other on the conveyer belt.

Brand: Travelpro

👤TravelPro makes bags that are meant to work and live out of. The front has a slant so it doesn't become top heavy and fall over when fully packed or with your personal bag, and the side carry handle is 10x more comfortable. There are two versions of this bag. They are not the same in capacity. If you fill it to the brim, you won't want this version. The bag is fantastic and has an incredible warranty. You will tire of it before you stop using it. As a consultant, I live out of carry-ons. I started paying attention to the brands of frequent travelers and crew members when I started traveling a lot. TravelPro dominated. I picked up the MaxLite 2 or 3 and it has been abused, but not much more, over the years. I wanted to point out the size difference. Between the bag's new "slant" and the 1" bigger version, you lose a day's worth of clothes. For me, the smaller suitcase fits into the regional jets I must often take to get back home to Cleveland. If you're the type to pack carry-ons full and never take regional jets, you might consider the slightly bigger version. The bag is even lighter than the old one. It was the first thing I noticed about it. I had to put myself on a 'packing diet' and it was easy to hoist into the overhead. I can't speak highly enough of the handle. This is one of those silly things that makes you wonder why no one has thought of this before, because your wrist will thank you every time you get on and off a plane. I have always had a spinner bag and would never leave it. It's nice to push the bag through the terminal and take the strain off of your arms. If the wheels get gummed up and need to be cleaned and oiled, they seem to be easier to get to. It's a professional, ready-for-anything carry-on that you'll be happy to own. I like the new pattern on the interior of the bag. TravelPro knows what they're doing when it comes to luggage, and it's nice to see a splash of color when you open it. You'll be happy to own and have this rugged, thoughtfully-executed carry-on. Travelpro backs it with a lifetime guarantee if you break it, and I'm 100% confident that it will work for years to come. I can't think of anything they could do better than the ones that cost 2x more. I have been a fan of TravelPro for a long time. I uploaded two pictures of it next to the bag to see how it compares. The old one is in good shape after about 5 years of use and a lot of travel. The bag has a handle with a color that's called "traVELpro". The old bag has a nice colored interior while the new one has a grey one. I received it through the Amazon program. Let me know if you find it helpful.
