PetSafe ScoopFree Self Cleaning Refills Non Clumping

ODOR CONTROL: UNBEATABLE. The cat litter absorbs urine and traps odors so you don't have to look at smelly waste. There is a lesson to be learned. 99% of the time, low-tracking crystals don't stick to your cat's feet. There is protection for leAKs. The plastic tray lining has a powerful extra barrier. Simply remove the disposable litter tray and throw it away, it's easy to clean up.

Brand: Petsafe

👤Highly toxic. My cat got these caught in his throat while he was cleaning himself. He didn't make it. After he ran through the house and fell over, we opened his mouth and found his mouth full of crystals.

👤I have used the litter box and the trays for 3 years and I can't believe I'm still spending money on them. I have used them for 3 years and can attest to the false claims they make about this product. Each tray is supposed to last at least 20 days for one cat. I have a cat and if I don't switch trays after 1.5-2 weeks, there is urine all over the floor. I have to replace each tray every two weeks. I spend almost $30 a month on litter. I replaced the trays weekly when I had two cats. Unless you're a millionaire, you can forget about your cats. The brand claims the trays are leak-proof. We put a pee pad underneath each tray because they leak even with the plastic film at the bottom and with the top cover under the bottom tray for extra protection. Once feces and urine are collected at the bottom of the tray, mold grows on them. The brand claims that the crystals are low- tracking and don't stick to pet's paws, but I find little blue crystals all over my house and sometimes in my bed. These crystals don't have a scent, but they do nothing to cover the smell. I switch out for a new box every 1.5-2 weeks. The laundry room is always smelling of urine. Cleanup is a disaster because of this. I have to wear gloves, I have to tape the corners of the box shut, and I have to clean up urine every time I switch boxes. The more I type, the more I feel like I've been using this product for 3 years. It's a shame. This second solution is finding another solution.

👤The purple litter trays seem to work best, but are the least available. We received a three pack a few weeks ago and have already been through it. The trays used to last at least a few days without any smell. The trays smell and the litter crystals are strange. The formula is no longer effective. We've used this system for over four years.

👤Since last year, I have been ordering this product. It was amazing last year. I used all 3 packs within a month, but I am not sure what is going on. I have never had to do that before. I tried to remove the lining to see if that would work, but it didn't. 3 trays in a month. The purpose of buying a high priced cat litter system is to reduce the need to change the crystals often. I don't know what they are using, but the crystals can't be the same. The lining on the box is bad. Go back to the original product.

👤My daughters wanted a cat. My wife said they would take care of everything. We got a cat. After a couple of months, they tired of their responsibilities and now this cat relies on me. After a few months, the litter box broke. The reviews on PetSafe ScoopFree Self-Cleaning Cat Litter Box seemed promising to me. The cat took to it immediately. The burden of being a cat caregivers has been lightened by it. I change out the litter once a month. The litter box has been around for several years and is still going strong.

2. Good Pet Stuff Hidden Litter

Good Pet Stuff Hidden Litter

The cat litter box looks like a clay pot. The plants and parts are in the middle of the litter box. It is made of polypropylene. Dust and odor can be controlled with a Filtered Vented System. Large cats and multi-cat households.

Brand: Good Pet Stuff

👤I've never written an Amazon review in my life, but I felt like this was necessary to review. If you're thinking about ordering a litter box, do it! My house is a small 1000 sqft home that's low on living space and has a hideous cat litter box. This hidden cat litter box is an answer to my prayers. The entrance is completely unnoticeable and guests have been floored when I tell them that it's the litter box. The original color is ugly and matches nothing in my house, but that's nothing a spray paint can't fix. I don't like how gross the litter boxes are and I was not willing to dump the cat litter directly into this litter box. I did some research on Amazon to find a round basin, and I found one that was perfect for this hidden litter box. The Vrinda Plastic Economy Round Basin is the name of the basin I ordered through Amazon. The 18 inch basin is only $20, but you can get more than one size for it, and the hidden litter box is 18 inches in diameter, so the 18 inch fits very well. I put one of those litter bags in the basin, tuck it over the edges, tie it tightly around the outside and then fill it with litter! I will never use a regular old litter box again. The cats immediately took to the new litter box and we haven't looked back since. A man!

👤I want to warn anyone considering buying this litter box for their cat that the leaves and straw can be dangerous for a cat that chews and plays with it. My cat had surgery to remove the leaves he ate from the plastic plant part. I am not bashing this product, but it is not a good design for cats to get into stuff. Before buying, please consider this. The leaves and straw should be thrown out.

👤Great purchase! I used 2 cans of white spray paint to make a beautiful litter box. I saw people who didn't like the leaves but I don't think they look bad. I used the feed bin as a liner and used trash bags on the bottom. It's easy to clean. The only downside is putting it back together. I found it hard to line up the grooves after cleaning and now I clean it while it's assembled. I don't have to put it back together.

👤I was interested in the container. The thought of my cats going in there to do their businrss under the guise of a plant was magical. I ordered this because I wanted my cat's toilet to be less obvious. It was huge when it came. I would have given it 5 stars, but the price of $50 for a kitty porta pottie was not usable. The plant is a joke. Really bad. Themoss was a choking hazard. All my cats like it. They tried to make something out of it before I could put it together. The litter pan is worth the most. I already used glass marbles instead ofmoss when I switched out the plant. The marbles were supposed to be used for a wedding centerpiece, but they were better used for my cat's washroom. Thanks to the floral department at JoAnn Fabrics, I added new pics of my new plant. I consider myself the Martha Stewart of litterbox decorating. Is that a beautiful orchid? Nope. My cat has a smelly litterbox. Got you?

3. Purina Tidy Cats BREEZE Starter

Purina Tidy Cats BREEZE Starter

One bag of 3.5 lbs. litter pellets is included in the litter box system, giving your cat one month of refill. The disposable cat litter pads are designed to last for 7 days for one cat. The Breeze system has anti- tracking cat litter pellets that are dust free. The floors are neat. Feet are neat. It is guaranteed. Solids stay on top for fast removal and urine is locked away in the super-absorbent pads below so there are no clumps to scoop. Absorb. Throw. It's time to replace.

Brand: Purina Tidy Cats

👤The cats took to the system very quickly. Skittles started eating the pellets occasionally after some months. I called Tidy Cat and spoke with a "pet specialists" who assured me that the pellets would break down and pass through his system, and that they would not cause him any harm. I tried to stop him whenever I caught him doing it, but he didn't seem to be consuming a lot of it. He died after developing a bowel obstruction that cost me more than $3,000 in vet bills. The x-rays showed that his bowels were completely blocked. The specialist didn't know what she was talking about. I like the Breeze system for my cat, who does not eat the pellets, but I'm afraid to try to clean it in my laundry tub because of the risk of it getting stuck in the drain. I've asked Cat how to clean the tray, but have not received a response. They don't have a solution for this problem.

👤The litter box has changed my life. The clumps of urine were the worst part of cleaning the litter box. Yuck. The smell is gone, the box is clean, and there is no litter in the house. I came up with my own pellet and pad alternatives because I am a frugal person. I tried both of them and they worked just as well for odor control and easy clean up. Everyone knows about the pads. That is an easy one. I found a package of dried navy beans in my pantry, which made it easy to replace the pellets. It's the end of the world! They worked well. They were cheap, didn't absorb the urine, the right size, the right texture, and white like the pellets, so aesthetically pleasing. The cats took to the navy beans and pellet mixture without a problem. Pinto beans are cheaper than the white navy beans. The cost breakdown is below. The pellet price is $2.27/pound and the bulk price is $21.94 a pound. I'm happy I made the switch. I added a photo of the navy beans added to the pellets.

👤I own 2 of these boxes. The first one is fine. The second box had undergone a design update that I hated. There are cups in each corner of the tray. The older box didn't have this. If the cat pees close to the corners of the box, the cups fill up with urine. You have to deal with urine dripping or slopping out of the cups when you change the pad. You have to empty the urine out. It's a big deal! This is a serious design flaw and I would not recommend this box.

👤Before buying this, I read all the reviews. I have had cats for 50 years. I've owned cat boxes for a long time. Our last kittens were 18 years ago, so I figured something new was out there. First time. They still overshoot the box at times, so I wish this was bigger or an extra large size. I got the cheaper replacement pee pads and they work great. I tried every suggestion before writing this review. The pellets with this system were hard and bulky. And expensive. The cats were happy with them. They wouldn't bury the poop and the pellets stuck to it. A lot was wasted. I tried the air pellet suggestion, but it still stuck to my feet. It works very well, even though it was sprayed all down. One cat doesn't like it as much as they bury it better. Not bad. Plastic is now being wasted as well. If the box was bigger, they would scatter theBB's more. This is a good suggestion and works well. I bought them on Amazon. The pine litter pellet is softer and cheaper than the regular litter pellet. I combined the pine pellets with theBB's I already had in there and it may be a good long term solution. They bury the poop and seem happy with it. The smell of the urine in the pad is caused by the pine. The softer touch is added by theBB's. There is a The two cats are now a year old. I change the pad every 10 days. I tend to be home when they poop and scoop it out when it happens because I still can't stand the smell. I like this more than clay clumps because it doesn't stick to the bottom. You need a lot of space for the roll up side down box. I like it more than the crystals because it smells less like pee, and I have two cats. There is a This is ideal for the pine litter. The box is tidy because the sawdust drops down. When the air soft pellets are gone, I will probably stick to pine.

4. Boxiecat Premium Clumping Litter 16 Pounds

Boxiecat Premium Clumping Litter 16 Pounds

"This is truly the best litter" is the recommendation from Dr. Lisa Franck D. V. M. 2X longer lasting. Use less and save more. 99. 9% free of tobacco. Dust control formula is ideal for allergies. An exception to ODOR CONTROL: A ammonia odor is eliminated. The flat top clasp is an invention. There are clumps on the top of the box. Stays ultra- clean. Even after weeks of scoop, odor-free like a new bag. Tracking greens is low. It's all natural, Unscented, great for cats and box types.

Brand: Boxiecat

👤I used this litter for almost a month so that I could give an honest opinion to other cat lovers. Don't buy this battery. I don't know how this litter won any awards, but it's the worst litter I have ever used. The litter doesn't absorb smell. Twice a day, I have taken. If our cats use the litter box, you will always smell it, even if you are not in the house. The tracking is terrible. The litter is the worst we have had before. I vacuum a lot because of that. It gets everywhere and sticks to the cats feet at times, it's not just in front of the litter box. The litter has made our lives intolerable.

👤This is the best cat litter I have ever tried. I have not scooped in a while, so no one can smell the box. I forget they exist and don't scoop frequently. The litter tracks around the house like any other litter. This litter has lasted me longer than the previous one. It clumps on top and doesn't sink. It is amazing. My house lasts about 2 months with one large bag. Two raw fed cats that drink a lot of water pee more often than most cats. I also have a few litter boxes. The main one lasts about 2 months while the others can go on. I am still amazed. My husband has many allergies. He is a mess. The litter isn't dust free but it hasn't irritated him like a tidy cat did. If you are looking for an allergy friendly litter, this is it. If you are looking for a non clumping try it. clumping is important to me and we have tried it all. You have to try this litter.

👤I agree... I love this litter. I think it is the best based on size and dust factor, but cat litter should not be more than $25 per bag. That is ridiculous. People, it's clay. If you are trying to justify the cost of doing business, then you are wrong. I find the price of cat litter very low. The whole thing of lasting longer is worth the price. If you have two cats peeing and pooping in a litter box multiple times a day, please. It's not like saying you don't need to change your underwear every day because you didn't get sweaty. The quality of the litter has nothing to do with how often you should scoop it or change it. The scent of $12 Cat Tidy is better and better. For $16, you can get Dr. Elsey's Respiratory Relief.

👤I held my nose six inches from the litter box before writing this review, and I can say with confidence that there is no smell after one month of use, and 36 hours since the last scoop. Not anymore. It's made life in my small D.C. apartment much nicer, but it's a lot more expensive. I have a very long-haired Persian, and I have no smell. There is a small amount of litter outside the box at the end of the day, and I almost never find any litter around the apartment. One bag was enough to fill a litter box for me.

5. Arm Hammer Control Platinum Clumping

Arm Hammer Control Platinum Clumping

ODOR CONTROL IS GUARANTEED. Powerful odor eliminators and Baking Soda eliminate odors from contact. It will keep odor controlled for 14 days. The cat has a litter box and it stays in the litter box. The Dander Shield Technology in this clumping cat litter helps to reduce airborne dander. It's ideal for cat owners who want an alternative to cat litter. It has an allergy-free scent that excludes 26 scent allergens. This clumping cat litter has the Dander Shield Technology. The clumps of kitty litter form rock-hard clumps for easy scooping, which makes it easy to remove odors from the litter box. 10% more money. The easy clumping litter eliminates urine and feces odor on contact. Every time your cat uses the litter box, it has a light scent.

Brand: Arm & Hammer

👤Whoa. This product is too heavy for a woman who lives alone. Love the clean scent, the texture and the lack of dust. I can't carry such a large container that is hard to open and pour into a smaller container. The delivery guy was young and strong and we nearly killed him. I will have to rethink using this product because I put it on subscribe and save. There are thousands of potential customers who will not be able to deal with this huge, heavy container, no matter how much they like what comes in it. I might rethink if you offer this litter in different size boxes. I might not. If the customer shoves the box onto the dolly and places it in the laundry room, the whole top opens, we can get a scoop and a pail for our hands and wrists. Your competitor has a heavy package broken up into smaller packages. Or give less heavy choices. I've been using the product for several days and it is excellent.

👤No cloud of funk! The scent of the traps is light and not overwhelming. It's more of an adjustment than a con when you stray from the same brands, stores, cheap stuff, expensive stuff, online only stuff, because clumps aren't all dried up. I've always gone to Tidy Cats for the price and clumping power. When I saw the promise of "No Cloud", I decided it had to be tried, and boy am I happy! I don't have to wear a mask when I scoop, and I don't feel like I have to be covered in dust after cleaning the three in my home. This stuff is on it's promises. It is sand-like and weighs more than the other one, so there is very little tracking out of the box. The only thing that has changed is that the clumps aren't all dried out like with normal clumping litter, so I'm a bit more careful with my scoop. If the clumps are broken, they are dried out and usually break into manageable pieces. The scoop will be messy if you accidentally dig it into the middle of a clump. This isn't a problem at all if you just be a bit more aware of your scooping. I did not receive any compensation, free product, or incentive. I'm so impressed!

👤Who knew I'd be writing a review? This is the litter we've been looking for. It is a sandy texture so it doesn't get tracked throughout the entire house, it doesn't smell overpowering, and it doesn't cloud up in duststorm like proportions when poured or scooped. Due to being empty nesters, we went from two litter boxes for our two cats to just one box due to size constraints. They have adjusted well. I had never realized how much dust was being generated by our typical litter since the boxes were in a larger area. I mean three or four times a day rather than once or twice a day. I don't know of anyone that only uses their toilet once a day, but the box is their toilet and I don't know of anyone that only uses it once a day. I don't think so... We tried the Tidy Cats litter. What a joke! It was the hardest litter I've ever used and I needed to recover from the pain of losing my cat family person. The second best litter brand was searched for by me. The formula for Ms. Elsie's precious cat was the number one, but reviews for that suggest that the formula has changed recently and not for the better, so I went with this. I think we found our holy grail litter, but only time will tell for sure. Right now, my lungs are thanking me and I'm no longer stepping on disgusting tiny pieces of tracked litter, so everyone is happy!

7. Catit Jumbo Hooded Cat Litter

Catit Jumbo Hooded Cat Litter

Privacy is provided by retaining the litter inside. The hood is large for easy access. The built in bag anchor helps keep the bag open. The carbon impregnated filter can be used with Catit Ammonia Buster to absorb and retain up to 80% of hazardous ammonia gases. The easy locking slider is used for quick assembly.

Brand: Catit

👤I love this box! It has changed my life. No more nasty odors, litter, or anything else. It is huge! I have two kittens that share it. I have attached a video to show you. For some reason my one kitten can't figure out how to get out of the box. He doesn't get what I show him. That is the only issue I have had with this box, and it is not the manufacturer's fault. I failed as a mother. He only takes 4 minutes to get out of the box, so there is hope. If your cats are having a hard time, just be patient and it will get better. I let him practice by throwing him in there multiple times a day. So. Yes. I was very pleased with that. The carbon filter can come out easily on top of it, which makes it easy for the kittens to pull it out and tear it up. I put a towel on top of the box to keep the filter from being torn up. If you have the same issue, I highly recommend this. This is a sound investment and I don't think you will regret it.

👤It's too early to tell if my two female cats like this box or not, but I will say it's just as spacious as I'd hoped. The other photos don't show how big this box is. It's amazing! I'm very happy with my purchase.

👤I rounded up to be kind because I would give this 2.5. The door flap is hard to open, so my cats weren't going in even though they have used a cat door before to get into the room. I had to take the clear plastic door off for them to use the litter box because my dog is often caught sneaking treats into the box. It's gross, and the reason I went with this box was to avoid this problem. The box is large and for my large male cat it's a bonus as he can easily get in without the door on. He doesn't turn around, he just urinates in the two front corners, it's hard to get to with a scoop, and the lid locks in multiple spots, so for twice daily cleanings removing the whole lid is not something you want to be. The lifting portion of the lid helps in this, and with a little maneuvering you can get to every part of the box to scoop. The lock broke, but the lid stayed on. When my cat urinates above the litter, the urine doesn't go outside the box, but when the lid is taken off, it goes into the seam where the box meet, so you need to pay extra attention to the edges and locks. If my review has been helpful to you, please click yes and I will continue writing and updating my reviews. If you have a question, leave a comment, I will be more than happy to answer it.

👤Buy this, it is the short and sweet. Arm & Hammer Platinum Slide litter, a litter tray, and a cat litter deodorizer are available if you throw out the crystals. I can stand next to a full litter box and not smell it.

👤This product is great, but it doesn't work like a miracle solution for all cats, at least not for me. I guarantee that it won't last you a month without upkeep. After some adjustments, it's still well worth it. I bought this just before my first cat was adopted, a fully grown and litter trained cat. I work 9 hours a day and live in a one bedroom apartment with a roommate, where the smell would be terrible if left untamed. I thought it would be worth the investment to make owning my first cat easier. There is a side note. A plastic tray was invested in by me. They are worth every cent after you realize how much you are saving with disposables. If you plan on going with actual litter, it's important. It was almost remarkable that my cat adjusted easily. She figured it out in 2 hours of being placed in a brand new home. I was able to go through the experiment I am about to share because she is tolerant of change. If you are one of the people who can't mess around with different litters, I did it for you and you can see what works best for you. I used the crystals that came with the product in the first 2 weeks of using it. I knew it would cost a lot to replace the trays, but the product said for one cat it should need monthly changes. That wasn't true at all. It began to smell by 1 week and by the next week it was turning to sludge and the smell was bad. My cat wasn't going to work well with the crystals. She pees in one spot and won't change it. It turned to sludge and smelled like death in the apartment, even with frequent stirring of the litter. I almost vomited when I tried to dump the litter out. The sludge was removed from the tray. My roommate was not happy. He didn't like the smell of the crystal litter before it was urinated on. It had to be made in a Lego factory because it was hard to step on. I was done with the crystals after just one round. My roommate didn't like them, my cat didn't like them, and my landlord never came in for a sniff because my roommate didn't like them. Replacing the throw-away trays weekly would be financial suicide. I thought about getting a regular litter box, because it would be better than this. I researched if I could use real litter, but the majority of people said no. My cat is one of the few that doesn't mind if I change things up, so I decided to go nuts with different litters and test them for a week. I decided to get some real litter after buying a Litter Works permanent tray. I haven't noticed a reason why it would be worth the extra 20 bucks, but there is also a cheaper one. Non clumping litter of any kind was a no. She pees up a storm and it's over saturated in a matter of days and I have to switch out the litter. It was wasteful! I moved up to the center of the clump. I bought a cheap version of Fresh Step at Walmart because I knew nothing about litter. I thought the cheapest would work, but I didn't know if it would explode my machine, so I started cheap. The Fresh Step was the first time I thought it might work for me. It was looking good after 3 days. On the 4th day, the clumps were getting stuck behind the rakes and it was starting to look dreary. It took some time to clean off the rakes, but it was still better than the crystals since it wasn't dragging around my house. It was getting rid of the urine. It smelled like febreeze, which was a big upgrade, because it was being filled with pee clumps and poo clumps. The roommate was still upset with the smell. The Papa bear is about solutions. I moved the price list up to Arm and Hammar because I was not convinced that this was as good as it gets. He swears by two objects. I bought a version that said "hard clumps" on it. The clumps sounded great. Maybe they wouldn't touch the rakes. I filled the tray with that and Kitty liked it. She didn't allow me to put the lid on before dumping it. I was lucky. I let that run for a week. It didn't smell at all until I lifted up the lid of the poo trap, and it was not pleasant. If you are on a budget, this is the solution. It's inexpensive and works well with little upkeep. It takes 5 minutes to clear out the trap when you're around 30-40 rounds. I would wrap a scarf around my nose and it wouldn't be bad because it wouldn't smell again after a few minutes. I had to clean a rake after 4 days to keep it looking good. I think you should get a Litter Genie trashcan. I've put 4 rounds of trap cleanings in my house and it's still not full for the first time. If you are like me and my cat, and you hate crystals, this is a good place to stand. It's not the monthly hands-free promise, but it's still very convenient to stop it from smelling while away from work. I suggest Arm and Hammer Slide litter for those who really want the good stuff. It is expensive, but it is worth it. I got a 19lb box for 12 dollars at Target, and it is usually on sale for 3 weeks or so. It's a financial jump since the boat load is less than 13 bucks a week for the disposable crystals from hell. Some places offer the bigger box for less than 2 of the small boxes, but they are hard to find, andPetco.com is one of the few that does. It is worth it if you have the money. I put this stuff in my cat's mouth and she loved it, but I can't smell it unless I put my head in the box. It requires almost no upkeep for a week at a time. I need to clear out the poo trap after about 40 scoops because it fills quickly with big rock hard urine clumps. That is a million times better than dealing with urine sludge. I scoop all of it into my litter genie. No sound. I don't like the smell of the litter, but once it's mixed with urine, it gets a little stinky, but I can't smell it unless I get close. I did not need to turn away or gag while cleaning it. I realized that my roommate hadn't complained about the litter box smell since I put this litter in it when I mentioned that he smelled it when clearing the trap. It doesn't get stuck in the rakes much. I will move the rake forward once a few days to clean out any small bits that got behind it, but that's most for aesthetic reasons and would be fine for a week. After I dump the poo trap, I throw in more litter to make it go away. If I think about it, I'll stir the litter and even it out when I walk past. She needs to pee in one area and that spot gets bare quicker. She gets a pancake of litter on her pee spot after about 2 days. It doesn't stop the rakes, but it sticks to the tray and goes into the trap. I toss the litter in the trash because it comes loose with a good scraper from the scooper, and it's good to go. There is a minor problem. This product is good, but you need to make it work for your cat and life style in order to be great. It's not going to be upkeep-free for a month at a time, even with one cat, if she's a big pee-er like my baby is. If you can get the good stuff, clumping litter will work. If you have a willingness to clear it once a week, you will be able to get a much easier time than daily cleaning. I think it is a 5 star product with Arm and Hammer Slide, but it took me and my cat 2 months to get there, so I removed one star. They seem to go out of their way to convince you that nothing but crystals will work, and that's not true at all. I would have returned the product after 2 weeks if it weren't for the Arm and Hammer Litter and the Litter Works tray. Hopefully this will help a cat parent.

9. Fresh Step Advanced Clumping Litter

Fresh Step Advanced Clumping Litter

2 packs total 37 pounds. Fresh Step Cat Litter is a refreshing scent that leaves your home smelling fresh. Fresh Step Gain cat litter starts fighting odors on contact to control odor longer. Fresh Step Cat Litter uses the power of Febreze with Ammonia Block Technology and activated charcoal to block urine odors so all you smell is the fresh, clean scent of Gain. 10 days of odor control in your litter box with a paw-activated gain fragrance is what Kitty litter with odor control means. Fresh Step Cat Litter's dust-free clumping formula helps keep your home smelling fresh and clean.

Brand: Fresh Step

👤The pros are 1. It smells pretty nice. Clumps well. The video shows that it dusts bad. Really bad. I have Triggered allergies that make me sneeze and have a bad nose. The poop still dusts even though I try to scoop it. The video is in a cardboard case and I transferred it to a plastic container. The first time I moved the contents out of the plastic packaging, the dust was worse.

👤Absorbency, scent and "dust" are the three main things I look for in cat litter. This is a huge step up from the basic kinds. The smell alone is worth it, but the consistency is what sets this apart for me.

👤The Gain version does something to kill the cat pee smell. This is the best litter yet because we have three cats and a cat-loving kid. Went from doing it multiple times a day to not doing it at all. If you are not careful, you could end up with a full box. Yuck and happy!

👤After trying several brands and types of cat litter, I came to the conclusion that it was a losing battle because it either smelled, or didn't clump enough, or it had so much dust associated with it, that I was coughing every time I changed it. I read a review and tried it, and I am so happy I did. I don't smell anything, even when I am cleaning it, the smell is almost non-existent, and it does clump together so you can easily remove what you need to. We have two cats and two litter boxes, one in the hallway and the other on the porch. The places where the odor used to hit me have changed.

👤The cat is on the board. My only suggestion is to get a single box of unscented. I have 2 cats and 2 litter boxes. The master suite bath has two litter boxes in it. Being kept in an enclosed space, no amount of diligence will save you from the smell, so I decided to use scented sand. Fresh step is the most consistent brand of litter I have ever found and I use their products exclusively for my cats bathroom needs. The two pack is the best deal on Amazon. When my sand arrived, I emptied and dried both litter pans. I ran to the grocery store to get the same brand of litter that I put into each tray, because my cat was overwhelmed by the scent. They love it now.

👤Therobolitter does a good job of automatically picking up litter, but it leaves it in a waste bin until you empty it. Even though the system is good, there are still some smells that come from 3-4 day old kitty litter. This product does a good job of covering the smell and preventing litter from accumulating in the main unit. It seems to clump as well, with minimal tracking. I prefer the heavy clumping litter.

👤Fresh Step is the best litter I've tried. A really strong odor blocker. This one is terrible, no Gain scent can be detected at all, and it does nothing for odor control. We have 4 cats and multiple boxes that we clean multiple times a day and within hours of using this litter, I thought one of my cats had an accident outside their box because of how ineffective this litter is. There is no amount of litter crystals that can save it. Don't waste your money on this one if you get the hawaiian aloha scent instead.

10. Fresh Step Litter Crystals Deodorizer

Fresh Step Litter Crystals Deodorizer

The scent boosting cat litter crystals mix in with your cat's litter and release a light fragrance every time your cat uses the litter box to hide odors and keep your litter pan and home smelling fresh and clean. Fresh Step crystals are non-toxic and pet friendly, so you don't need to worry about exposing your kitty to chemicals. Fresh Step cat litter crystals are water-soluble and will degrade over time. Every time your cat uses the litter box, the kitty litter crystals will be activated, giving your litter pan a constant boost of freshness. The summer Breeze Sequence. The revitalizing summer breeze scent will make your fresh Step crystal litter pleasing to the senses and will make you forget that it is litter.

Brand: Fresh Step

👤This cat is freshener. I smell my cat's poop like an autopsy when she goes to the bathroom. My other cat would cover up her poop and pee but this piece of Mess, so I said to myself, "Self, I need to get something that will help with this Cat Litter and have the nerve to not want to cover it up." It is funny but not.

👤A bad purchase. I had to mix the scented crystals in after he refused to use the litter box when I first put the overflowing tap on top of the cat's litter. They provided no odor cover or purification of any kind for the duration of their supposed stay in the litter, and you could no longer smell the crystals once that was done. It was a total waste of money and I bought three bottles of that useless stuff.

👤I bought this to see how well it works. My cat can have a bad smell in the bathroom when she urinates. I don't have a window to open it up. I haven't turned on my vent in a week and haven't changed my litter in a couple days, even though it smells great after a few days. My cat is a princess and after this time she was pushing the litter on the floor to be changed, but I didn't smell anything.

👤I have used Fresh Step litter for a long time. It is the only cat littler I have ever used and I love the clumping power of it. Normally, I use Arm & Hammer litter deodorizer when I clean the litter box, but I needed something quickly so I decided to try this. I thought it would be great because it is from Fresh Step. I noticed that the clumping of urine was hard to remove from the litter box when I started using it. It broke down into small pieces. I thought maybe there was something wrong with the litter for a little while. I continued to use the litter with this scent booster and it was awful. I used the baking soda again. Fresh Step litter has always had clumping power. I don't know what the issue is but, scent boosters break down clumps. The scent is terrible. It smells like cat pee. I would not recommend it.

👤I think that this was not the real orange product I ordered, it came slightly wet and smelled of orange essential oil. I don't know if I'd buy from this person again, I think it's probably fake, but I think somebody reuses their Caps or who knows why. I'm pretty sure that the cap is fake because it doesn't come on and off easily and I don't remember if they were sealed or not. It didn't cover the smell or scent at all. I had this product before from the store and they are not the same, but it was a different scent, and I'm pretty sure that the shape is different.

11. PetSafe ScoopFree Smart Cleaning Litter

PetSafe ScoopFree Smart Cleaning Litter

There is an app connected to a battery box. This litter box is connected to the My PetSafe app on your smart phone so you can monitor your cat's health from anywhere, even when you're not home. Automatic cleaning for weeks. After your cat leaves her litter box and rakes solid waste into a waste trap, you can simply swap a fresh litter tray. Track your cat's health. If you have real time usage data in your app, you can see if there are any signs of health issues. Completely disposable, leak-proof trays are pre-filled with premium crystal litter for odor control, and a covered waste trap locks away solid waste and smells. There are warnings for peace of mind. You can change or order more litter trays based on the number of times your kitty has used her litter box. The sleek form and style of this litter box will look great in your home.

Brand: Petsafe

👤I have some thoughts to share with the community about PetSafe ScoopFree and other leading automatic litter boxes, as an experienced veterinary surgeon. The self-cleaning is more reliable than owning a scoop. The lid helps with the tracking issue. You will spend a lot of money to maintain it. A $50 litter tray is a must have. The crystal litter is more expensive than the regular clay. The crystal litter is expensive and terrible for odor control. The reliability is worse than Littermaid and Litter-Robot. The motor is very loud. The cleaning rake can become sticky. It looks like a litter box. There are positive aspects to owning a LitterMaid, but it is barely workable with grinding noise and reliability issues. The app tells you some useful info about owning a litter-robot positive aspects. The automatic cleaning strength is reliable when the sensor is not blocked. If you are concerned about the safety of your kitty, you should not have a Litter-Robot. I take care of wounded cats every year. It is difficult to fix the spinning globe stuttering issue, and you can look for videos on the internet. The globe opener is very high and not designed for sensitive cats. The footprint is the largest, so if you have limited space at your home, you may need to rethink. The picture looks like a spaceship, but the product is too plastic. It is the most expensive, starting at $500 and going up to 1000 dollars. Quietest aspect of owning a ChillX AutoEgg is the positive aspects. It doesn't change your life. It comes with a computer to record the weight of your cats. A minimalist style design. The maintenance cost is close to nothing because you only need to replace the liner. It is a modern, minimal design. If you have a big cat, the litter tray is smaller than the others, so you have to avoid it. It doesn't clean all of the waste every time. Sometimes the cleaning rake becomes sticky. It is more expensive than on Amazon and only sells on their website. I hope my honest review will help you make an informed decision.

👤Money is what this is about. I mean. Yes. This is a review for people who have a lot of money to spend to get a little bit more convenience, and it's also about cat poop. The convenience is that you don't have to scoop your cat's litter box for up to 30 days per refill, and that the bad smell from the box isn't as bad. The box itself retails for 10 times the price of a standard litter box, and the money is tied up in the actual litter trays. The system that you get for the money is very easy to use. This works as advertised. You slip in the tray and it's done. The cat uses the box and a short while later the box pushes the offending bits out of the way, leaving your house with less smelliness. This works if your cat has poops. The comb on this thing can get a little icky if your cat has loose feces. My cat has dry poop so it's not a problem, but make sure you buy the right cat. Some cats don't work with this hardware. The litter replacements cost about 16 bucks each, so if you want to give or take a couple bucks from place to place, you can. For one month, that's sixteen bucks. This is where the whole thing falls apart for me. I buy store- branded litter that costs about four dollars per jug, and one jug is good enough to last three or four weeks in my house with my cat. Depending on his current drinking habits and diet, he can sometimes be a little longer or a little shorter. The regular, old-fashioned, I-scoop-it-myself method of cat litter management costs me about six dollars per month. I'm sorry, but six dollars versus sixteen every month? That's a lot. That's a big difference. The ScoopFree litter costs over a hundred dollars more per year, and the only positives I get are that I don't have to scoop, and that the litter smells a little bit better when used. You're spending two hundred dollars a year on litter with this device. If you have an extra two hundred dollars a year to spend on your cat's life, that's awesome. This is a great deal because you'll have one more thing in your home that's automated and doesn't require you to lift a finger. It's a good choice. It's the choice for people who don't have to count their money. This is a harder trade-off to make for people who need to be careful about spending. The choice is up to you. I'm not sure which choice I'll make. This is a decent device that will make your life simpler. This is a device that will be useless if you don't have fancy crystal litter trays and need to make a choice between cat food or cat litter with your budget. If you want to maintain the warranty and keep the device working properly, you have to be willing to spend a couple hundred dollars a year on proprietary crystal litter trays and be barred from using standard litter. This thing is an investment, like everything with the razors-and-blades sales model. Without the monthly purchase you can't use the item at all, so you have to get into it. It might be easier to make the decision if the trays were easy to find. The biggest department store chain in the country only carries them in a few locations. Pet stores can be hit or miss. You can always buy them online, but you need to buy a special pre-filled litter tray. Every month or more frequently. You can't switch litter brands once you're in. Help if your cat hates crystal litter. Five stars for the ScoopFree litter box, but one star for the proprietary, higher-priced, special litter that can't be found everywhere. If you find a source for the litter, hang on to it, because it's not the kind of thing you can buy on your way home from work. I ordered a permanent tray, which isn't cheap, but I think they charge too much for a piece of molded plastic, but that's not part of this review. If you're smart about your crystal litter buying, you can reduce the price per month by as much as 50%. I think the permanent tray will pay for itself in about a year with the store- branded crystal litter, which costs one third as much as the replacement cardboard trays. My cat seems to like this box. He likes it. I've seen him look at it as if he's proud of it. Not curious or startled, either. After the rake has cleaned the box, he has to go and look at it again to be sure he is happy with it. I think he's wondering where his feces went. His love for the box is worth the price. I didn't review the Petsafe app in my main review because I wasn't sure I needed it. It's useful, though it requires a lot of information to register. You can use the app to monitor if the rake is working too often, and you can be notified if the rake gets stuck. When it's time to change the litter, it lets you know. I don't think this is a good idea because you don't know if the cat is in the box at the time. If you pay attention to your cat's health, you won't be missing much if you don't set the app up. A four-star review is still a four-star review. I think the disposable trays are overpriced and wasteful. With the knowledge that you can increase the value and cut the costs if you invest in an optional permanent tray, I went with a popular third-party option and bought store- branded crystal litter instead of the higher-priced Fresh Step.
