Bagless upRIGHT VACUUM: This multi floor, multi surface designed vacuum can be used in your home, den, or kitchen to remove pet hair, dirt and more. The Enhanced HEPA filter system traps 99.7% of dirt and reduces pollutants in the room. The 2- motor system is great for cleaning. You can change the vacuum cleaner's suction for different fabrics and carpet weights. There is light and manageable. This lightweight design is easy to maneuver. There are 2 appendices extending the reach. The hose can be extended to 10'. The combination tool includes a dirt brush, upholstery brush and crevice tool.
👤The vacuum cleaner has a strong force that pulls in particles from several inches in front of the nozzle. It lifted a lot of dust and debris from our carpets after they had been vacuumed. The cleaner should be especially useful for people with asthma and/or allergies. The system is claimed to remove at least 99% of particles with a diameter of less than 3 microns. Human hair is fat, with diameters ranging from 50-150 microns. The captured COVID 19 viruses would be embedded in the filters, where they could survive for only a limited number of days. The top handle makes it easy to maneuver the cleaner around furniture. The carrying handle is on the top of the dust cup. Lifting the cleaner by this handle puts its full weight on the plastic latch that holds the dust cup in place, so it may be a good idea to avoid using this. The on-off switch has three different positions: off, vacuum on, and vacuum on with brushroll activated. When the brushroll is activated, a headlight illuminates the area about to be vacuumed. A brushroll status indicator is used to warn when the brushroll needs attention. There is a way to reduce the amount of dust in the air. The powerful vacuum pulls air, dust, and debris through a long flexible hose that can be attached either to the floor level nozzle or to one of several special attachments. Potential buyers should know that this cleaner requires more mechanical skills than traditional cleaners. If you're used to turning a cleaner on and off, vacuuming, and occasionally replacing a dust bag, be prepared for major changes with this and similar vacuum cleaners. The manufacturer thinks that the brushroll should be cleaned after a few uses. There is a large cylinder in this cleaner. After every use, this is to be emptied. If the vacuum power seems weak, the foam, felt, and pre-filter should be cleaned every three months. Cold water should be used to clean the HEPA filter. The filters will probably need to be replaced eventually. The cleaner uses two motors to compensate for the resistance created by the multiple filters, making it heavier than traditional cleaners. The instructions in the accompanying manual are in English and Spanish.
👤The vacuum is sexy. I have had bissels in the past and I have done a lot of research. I was going to get a vacuum similar to the one I was going to buy, but when I looked in the store they made them so cheap that I couldn't afford it. I put mine through a lot. I have pets. I did more research and it seemed like it was made better in my research, like metal screws and quality materials. The vaccum is way ahead of the others for the price. It's quiet and has amazing suction, so it doesn't feel like you push it, you just glide with it. My carpets look like they have been washed. The vacuum makes it fun to vacuum. I'm thinking about getting another one. I have one on each floor. This might be the best purchase I have made. The hose is very high quality and doesn't knock your vaccum over when you use it. It doesn't have a quick release, but it is easy to lift if off and go, and it has a lot of hose, so you don't realize how much until you go. It has a long cord. There are a lot of good things about this vacuum. This is a must have. Love it.
It is easy to use and easy to store. It is possible to convert from stick vacuum to hand vacuum. Remove the floor nozzle for use as a hand vacuum. Great for carpets, area rugs, stairs, upholstery and more. The power cord and crevice tool are included.
👤The model 2300 is being phased out. Amazon doesn't mention this. It's a special for Prime members. You can't get the replacement filter from any of the websites. The filter does not need to be replaced, according to both Amazon and Bissell. The filter needs to be washed a couple of times. If the dirt cup is made of carpet fibers or other light weight dust, it sticks to the dirt cup and filters and flies all over when you try to empty it. It's too late to return it, I found all this out when I used it.
👤This review was helpful in helping you make a decision.
👤The vacuum is small, lightweight and powerful. I bought it for my son's 2nd birthday because I don't want him to break it and he struggles with it because it's heavy for a 2 year old. I have come to enjoy this little Bissell. It is easy to use. It's light and so pulling it out to vacuum up things doesn't make a big deal. I actually do it! My son vacuums up a lot when he is playing with it. I don't attach the longer handle because it's the perfect length for him without it. I recommend this vacuum for anyone with small children, anyone looking to take the hassle out of vacuuming up smaller jobs here and there, and anyone who may have an injury or weakness that prevents them from using heavier vacuums.
👤Where has this been my entire life? It has a long handle that is perfect for little crumbs. I have hardwood floors throughout my house and only carpet in the kids bedrooms. The vacuum was large and bulky, so I rarely brought it out. I would sweep multiple times a day and still felt like the floors were dirty. Our dog took care of the problem when he decided that the Roomba was an invader. The lightweight works on all flooring types, easy to empty, bagless, and turns into handheld attachment for crevices like between couch cushions. It's not as loud as a regular vacuum and it's not as big as a Cheerios Cons vacuum. It is a little vacuum. It is expected! It's great for a quick run around the house to pick up dog hair and snacks left behind by little ones.
👤I had this for about 6 months and I loved it. They don't make them anymore if I replace the filter. If the model is being phased out and filters are unavailable, why is this a special for Prime customers? The filters that most people buy with this product are too small for me. I can't sell this at a garage sale. It was so upsetting!
👤The little sweeper does an excellent job of cleaning up the mess. The filter is very easy to change and it gets into corners. I am amazed at the amount of dog hair it picks up. The living room floor is where the photo was taken.
👤You would think it would be bad. It's great! I bought it for work. We use it over the tiled areas. It is light and easy to move around. My co worker bought a one for her home because she liked it so much. This is the light that you need. Not having the brush has been great. We don't have to spend a lot of time cutting out hair that is wrapped around it. I wasn't sure if it would work without the brush.
There is a chip vampire in the sky. corded cleaning on carpets and hard floors It's perfect for pets. Powerful pet hair pickup tools make it easy to clean pet hair. SWIVEL STEERING. The low-profile design for under-furniture reach makes it an excellent choice. CONVERTS TO A VACUUM. With the touch of a button, the stick vacuum cleaner transforms into a portable handheld vacuum that can be used to clean above the floor, tackle stubborn pet hair, and access hard-to-reach areas. The cargo storage is CONVENIENT. The vacuum can be hung from the hook on the wand. There is multi-SURFACE cleaning. The controls allow you to switch from Hard Floor to Carpet mode. There is a light weight quotient. At under 9 lbs. The handheld vacuum converts to a corded vacuum for floor-to-ceiling cleaning.
👤This was a good and convenient product until the flexible tube on the base broke, as can be seen by other reviews, and even though someone on here said that rocket replaced the entire vacuum for them. I was told by the customer service rep that my 5 year warranty will replace parts if they don't have the part, but they will replace the whole thing if it isn't covered by the warranty. This makes no sense. They will replace the entire thing for free if the part is not replaceable, but they won't replace it for me because of one part that is not under warranty. I am not happy. This is year 2 and it is supposed to last longer. Stay away from this company. They don't support their product. This part should be covered by their limited warranty. What is not covered by this warranty? 1. The proper functioning of your unit is not covered by this warranty because of the normal wear and tear of your parts. There are replacement parts for sale. 2. Any unit that has been used for commercial purposes has been tampered with. 3. Damage due to misuse, abuse, negligent handling, failure to perform required maintenance, and damage due to mishandled in transit are some of the causes of damage. 4. There arequential and consequential damages. 5. Defects are caused by repair persons not authorized by SharkNinja. When a repair person is not authorized by SharkNinja, there are damages caused in the process of shipping, altering, or repairing the SharkNinja product. 6. Products were purchased, used, or operated outside of North America.
👤This device has a cord. I'm not spending $400 on a stick vac that may or may not have as much power as this one or a run time of 15 minutes per 4 hour charge - I'm taking a break. I've had this for a couple months and I love it. We bought it because we got a puppy and she's not that bad yet, but we use it on our hardwood floors and carpeted living room area because she tracks in grass anddebris when she's outside. I'm very happy with the purchase of this product. It's easy to put away. It's a nice job on the carpeted areas. This is a great purchase and I will recommend it to anyone who asks. * The boy is still kicking and the dog is growing up. The device does its job over and over again.
👤The product was great until the motor stopped working, and customer service wouldn't address the issue after contacting three times. We will never buy another Shark product.
👤The product was purchased on June 10. I was using the vacuum today. The power head is malfunctioning. Called Shark to inquire about warranty coverage. The power head is not covered by the warranty and the vacuum is not warrantied. He said that they offered to sell me a new power head for half price. I paid $150 for the while thing. I told him this was not acceptable. He agreed to send me a new power head. I think I'm better than nothing. The buyer should beware.
Press a button to lift the canister away and easily clean hard to reach areas. A complete seal technology and a HEPA filter traps 99% of dust and allergens inside the vacuum. Powerful and lightweight; portable and versatile. Deep carpet and gentle floor cleaning. The floor hero attachment is not included.
👤The vacuum was purchased in July of 2016 It was used 1 to 2 times a month. The vacuum has a warranty. The brush stopped working. I talked to Shark and Chris. He said a new power head would cost me around $72. I told Chris that the vacuum was less than two years old and had a limited use warranty. I was surprised that Shark wouldn't support the quality of their product. Chris told me he would send me a new power head, but I would have to pay the shipping cost. If the power head did not fix the problem, what happened? We would have to try something else. I decided to pay the shipping cost after taking a chance on the new power head. The power head I received did not correct the problem. The rotating brush wouldn't work. I spoke with Janet after calling Shark again. I explained the problem and what was done. Janet told me that I would have to pay a shipping cost of $19.99 in order to receive the part they needed to replace the motor. I told Janet that I would not pay anymore shipping costs if they did not guarantee my satisfaction and stand behind their product. Janet disconnected the phone call when she said she was offering what was available in the guidelines.
👤It's unbelievable! Before buying any Shark Vacuum products, read this first. I bought a new shark on January 22. The roller brush stopped working. It is frozen and easy to shoot. I called the shark. They have no fix for this, but they are willing to sell me a replacement part. I have owned this vacuum for less than 3 weeks and it doesn't make a difference if this part of the vacuum is not covered by their warranty. I won't be buying from this company again.
👤I bought this back in October of 2015 and have had no major issues with it. I'm not sure if things have changed since I bought this, but mine came with a dust-away floor, a dusting brush, and pet power brush attachment. The attachment on the photos on Amazon is new to me. My hard floor attachment comes with microfiber pads. It's basically a Swiffer + vacuum in one. I didn't use the dust-away attachment for my hard floors because it was hard to hold the portable lift-away component in one hand and use the other hand to do the vacuuming. I initially used a Swiffer and the Shark's motorized floor brush to clean my hard floors, which was double work. I came up with the idea of grabbing an old backpack and using it to hold the lift-away component so I could have more mobility. I cut a hole in the backpack so that the vacuum wouldn't get too hot. This is not the prettiest setup, but since doing it, vacuuming hard floors has become more efficient for me. I enjoy Ghostbustering all the dust and pet hair off the hardwood floors. The dust-away attachment is my most used attachment since my house is 70% hard floor. The motorized floor brush is my second most used attachment. The floor brush has a strong force. I don't notice much of a difference on my carpeted floors and Ikea floor rugs. I have to push it through because it sucks so hard on the rug. It is like getting a good chest workout when vacuuming over Ikea floor rugs. Occasionally, I use the other two attachments. The dusting brush and crevice brush can be used to pick up my beard trimmings from the bathtub floor. I don't dust my window sills often, but the dusting brush is good for other surfaces. The spider webs can be sucked up with the crevice tool after I added my Ghostbuster accessory. This vacuum is bagless. I like to watch the dust cup fill up with fur, hair, dust, etc. The Shark Navigator is keeping my house clean. I didn't get to play with traditional vacuums. The design of the dust cup makes it easy to empty out. The dust cup was designed by Shark so that it can be emptied from either the top or the bottom. I've only washed and cleaned the foam filter a few times. I didn't know that the felt filter was replaceable and could be washed off. I don't vacuum that often, but I haven't noticed a decrease in power. I love this vacuum because I can carry it on my back.
The volume has a capacity of 1.8 quart. Do not charge the battery at a low temperature. There is no hair wrap. The brushroll is self-cleaning and does not have hair wrap. Powerful and light. Powerful pet hair pickup and deep carpet cleaning on all surfaces is a lightweight design. CONVERTS TO A VACUUM. With the touch of a button, the stick vacuum cleaner transforms into a portable handheld vacuum that can be used to clean above the floor, tackle stubborn pet hair, and access hard-to-reach areas. There is an advanced sewer steering. The low-profile design for under-furniture reach makes it an excellent choice. There are spotlights. Hidden debris and pet hair can be seen on the handheld vacuum and nozzle. The dust cup is easy to empty.
👤This is my 3rd shark. The navigator was Shark Rocket. The self cleaning beater bar is the Shark Rocket. This one is my all time favorite. They made them better. I use it every day. We have 5 dogs that live inside. It is a hairy situation around here. The attachment is light weight, easy to maneuver, easy to clean, and empty. The lights are on. I couldn't believe I wasn't able to see it. It is easy to add attachment to clean behind furniture. I had a Kirby Heritage 2 for 34 years and I still wish it stood up by itself. I wouldn't go back to heavy vacuums. I have 2 more sharks. They are still working. I use them in different parts of the house. The newest one is awesome. I am looking forward to not having to clean the brush.
👤I have never had anything like this in my life. I can't believe how bad this shark vac is. It sucks and I have to love it. I have nothing else to say about that.
👤The suction is great! My carpet is 20 years old and it looks brand new. It is easy to use. I like that it comes apart. I don't like that it doesn't stand up without detaching the top piece, I hate the screaming high pitched noise it makes, and it does send dust outside the unit and you are breathing it in. It isn't sealed even though it is in. The power and pick up is amazing again. The other issues are not that important.
👤The top portion feels like it is two or three times heavier than the base making it hard to maneuver and uncomfortable to use. It was very heavy. It took me two minutes to realize that I wouldn't be able to vacuum the entire house with this machine. And loud. There are two loud motors. One from the handle and one from the base. I have been a fan of sharks for a long time. This was the worst design I have ever used.
👤It does vacuum stuff. The hair is stuck around the rollers. The carpets look clean. Sick. I will probably lose them.
👤We own an apartment and two houses. I have one for each and one that we used to clean out the cars. The newer cats are great at getting up the hair.
👤I have had a vacuum for a few days and I am very impressed. I decided to go back to a corded vacuum since my last two were both corded. I was reading reviews for every vacuum on Amazon and settled for this one. I have a few long haired cats who shed a lot and this does an awesome job of picking up their hair and even my own hair. They do a good job of picking up litter. One star was deducted because it doesn't do the greatest on my shag rug and also a little tall to go under my 70's cabinets in my kitchen.
The power source is corded electric. The powerFUL SUCTION: Deep- clean carpets and tackle bare floors. Lift-a-way functions. The nozzle can be removed to clean under furniture or above the floor. The anti-allerg complete seal technology is used. The vacuum cleaner can be used with a HEPA filter. It's perfect for pets. The upholstery tool has powerful pet hair pickup attachment. SWIVEL STEERING allows you to maneuver your vacuum in and out of tight spaces. The Rush Roll is shutting down. You can switch from deep carpet cleaning to gentle bare floor cleaning with the feature. The large-CAPACITY DUST CUP has a capacity for longer cleaning sessions. The dust cup can be easily removed.
👤I bought this vacuum to replace an older vacuum that had lost its power. The vacuum has been great so far. When it arrived. I was a little worried when I saw how narrow the vacuum was. I thought I would have to do a lot more work to get my floors clean. I used the manual to assemble the vacuum after it arrived in several large pieces. It only took a few minutes. I read through the features and how to use them after I put it all together. The canister can be removed from the roller base to clean stairs. It's helpful on the stairs. I had to use my knee to make sure the canister didn't fall down the stairs because the carpeted stairs didn't sit well with the detached canister. There is an upholstery attachment that spins when the vacuum is on. This is good for the stairs. A thin wand is meant to help clean under couches and large furniture. There is also a tool that can be used in a pinch. The vacuum is very light and pivots and turns very quickly. This vacuum has a powerful amount of vacuum, and it seems like it is self propelled. If you are vacuuming a thick carpet or an area rug, you can adjust the vacuum's position to keep it from grabbing onto your carpet. The first time I used this vacuum, it was only a couple days after I had vacuumed my house, but I filled an entire canister just to clean my living room and dining room area rugs. I can handle emptying it a little more frequently if the canister does a better job than my old one. I am very pleased with my purchase so far. If you found my review helpful, I would love to have you read it.
👤The vacuum works great. It's light and easy to maneuver. I would give it 5 stars because it met my expectations. The roller brush stopped spinning after a couple of months, but you knew it was coming. Thank goodness for the internet because after a quick search for others with the same problem, I found a video with a fix for it. The pressure switch is malfunctioning. This is not covered by a warranty so I had to either fix it or throw it away. I needed to purchase a set of security head bits and they needed to be extra long so this is a good one to purchase. I ripped apart the vacuum and then replaced it with a new one and put the wires back together. The roller brush will keep spinning even in the locked upright position if "Always on" is used. I would rather have the switch go bad again. This taints my whole review. This is happening more than a few times if there's a fix on the video. The review was bad.
👤I bought this to replace a Dyson. The one room I have with wall-to-wall carpet has a vacuum that does a good job. That is the only positive. It is top heavy. You need three hands to operate the attachment. The fill line is only an inch or two from the bottom of the canister, so you have to empty it constantly. I can't vacuum the length of my family room because the cord is short and mounted low. It can't pick up cat litter or pine needles on tile or hardwood. I am not sure how they were able to design this so poorly. I would have liked to have invested in another Dyson.
X-protECTOR is a REGISTERED TRADEMARK. Their customers will get 100% satisfaction with their datememe pads. They will return your money if you don't like their protectors. It should be ordered. Press the button to add to the cart. Right now! The powerFUL SUCTION: Powerful pet hair pickup is done on all surfaces. There is a light weight quotient. It's lightweight and can be used for floor-to-ceiling cleaning. Pet tools that capture embedded pet hair on all surfaces and extend reach into hard-to-access areas are perfect for pets. There is a deflation CUP CAPACITY. The 0.68-quart dust cup can be used for extended cleaning. There are spotlights. Hidden debris and pet hair can be seen on the handheld vacuum and nozzle. The Shark Rocket Pet Plus includes a vacuum, multi-tool, and pet Crevice tool.
👤The product description was very disappointing. Had standard attachments, not motorized pet attachment, no hard floor duster, and it was bought at the same price as the advertised attachment.
👤I still love this vacuum! Cleaning the filters every month is easy and it functions as well as it did on day one. I love that you don't have to keep buying things. I was a little worried that the reviews on the rug site would cause problems with this vacuum, but I haven't had any problems with it! I use the first setting and don't stay long in one spot. I use a motorized pet attachment when I want to get dog hair off the rugs, it works well and I don't have to worry about getting the rug. This vacuum is going to be great. The one thing that is annoying is that the crevice tool can fall off if you get too close to the vacuum, so make sure to stick it on when you put it back. I like how easy it is for new attachments to slide on. It feels sturdy and glides and fits well. It has stood the test of time because I vacuum once or twice a day because my dog has a double coat. If I had to, I would buy this vacuum again. I didn't think it was possible. I love my vacuum cleaner. I'm the type of person who studies all of my purchases before I buy them, and this vacuum was no exception. The reviews were good, but this vacuum was better than I expected. It is light enough to be able to vacuum, but it has some serious sucking power. Before I got my American Eskimo Dog, I used to have an inexpensive handheld, but it was not good enough for him. I was stressed out because a lot of models had negative reviews about the hair getting caught and having to stop and remove it several times each vacuuming session. I have never had a problem with this product, especially hair getting caught. I also have long hair that goes up everywhere. I wonder how I have left anything on my head. The vacuum picks up everything. I clean the roller after every session to make sure there aren't any problems, but it really isn't necessary. I have a 650 square foot apartment with tile in the kitchen and bathroom, and several area rugs that my dog loves to lounge on. The True Pet motorized attachment cleans them in a matter of minutes. You will be amazed at what it picks up. I empty the canister twice a session when I vacuum the whole apartment, which is great because it picks up a lot. I can't tell you how nice it is to use this vacuum. It's a dream to move it, swap out attachment, and even detach the handheld top portion. Everything glides in and out. I had to struggle with my previous vacuum to attach the various pieces, which was really frustrating and led to chipping nails. I couldn't clean the whole apartment with it at the same time because it overheated and shut itself off. The model never loses power. You don't realize how much you matter until you have something better. Powerful and tornado are the settings for the vacuum. It is not loud, which is great. You don't have to replace these items if you use the bagless canister. The price tag seemed high to me at first, but after looking at other models and seeing how good this one is, I can't imagine myself using anything else. It makes it a pleasure to clean. You can either put it on the floor or on the wall. It takes up very little floor space and it looks nice, so you won't mind if it is visible. The handheld attachment and the main floor attachment have lights on them. If you want to, you can even vacuum in the dark because of how well these lights work, especially at angles. The vacuum will not leave you disappointed.
The crevice tool and dusting brush snap on the vacuum and are accessible at any time. You can switch from carpet to bare floors without adjusting. Dirt is delivered efficiently to maintain strong suction. The rollerbrush spins at 5,000 to 6,500 revolutions per minute. Multi surface design is safe to clean.
👤13 months after I bought this vacuum, I thought it was time to review it. This thing is about the same weight as a gallon of milk. The dirt devil that my previous vacuum weighed was about the same price as this one, and it easily weighed 20 pounds. If you ever have to, the vacuum is easy to work on. You can have it apart in a few minutes with nothing more than a phillips, but you should be able to swap the motor in 20 minutes. I don't think I'll have to pay $75 to replace those. It's powerful, the motor sucks up everything, from my wife's hair ties to every single cord I forget to get out of the way before I start vacuuming, it's all fine. If she ever jams up, I expect the belt to give out before the motor does. If you go in front ways instead of sideways, you'll be able to pick up stuff against the walls. The easiest way to swap the bags is to hold on to each side of the hole on the cardboard and push towards the port. It's cheap. It's not a lot of features, but it's a vacuum for crying out loud. You get a lot of money. There are pros and cons. There were no attachments. You should already know that. It's a vacuum. It isn't like you have to listen to it all day every day, and those belts are a pain to swap. I swapped my first one after 13 months of use. Once the belt is on the vacuum, you should be able to manhandle it. You get what you pay for, Oreck compromises on features to give you a good vacuum for the price.
👤I bought my first Oreck in 2006 It lasted me 11 years. I would probably still be using it if it weren't for the fact that I shorted out the motor. The new style model is not Oreck. The price has come down considerably since the shake up with the company a few years ago, and as the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." The metal handle is attached to the plastic vac tube with one lousy screw, which is a few positives and negatives. I know it won't be long before the handle snaps off, because it's constantly flexing and bending as I vacuum, and I know it won't be long before the bag attachment portion of the tube to the intake part is connected. I have big strong hands, and even after cranking on that thing as hard as I can, it still wants to work itself loose all the time. The bag is attached. Oh my gosh, the bag attachment! It is terrible! No matter what you do, you can't get the bags to stay on for more than a couple vacuums, leaving you with a nice surprise when you change the bag. I wish I had cashed in on the warranty before it was too late. I won't be broken hearted when I have to throw this piece of shit into the dumpster because I didn't pay $300 for this one. Sad what happened to Oreck. I think it will be a Sanitaire for me next time.
Dirt, hair, and debris are removed from carpets, car interiors, furniture, and high-traffic areas. It is easy to carry and maneuver in tight spaces. You won't need to bend over as often if you have an on-board extension. The nozzle rotates 180 to fit into tight spaces. There are hard to reach areas between couch cushions and on top of shelves. Adding a FLIP-UP BRUSH adds an extra layer ofVersatility for dusting and vacuuming upholstery. Dust and debris can be removed from the filter with the help of the Cosmic Action.
👤The long extendable pickup is sucking power to me. Not a fan of the counter-top charge base. After 3.5 years of light-duty use, it's time to stop. The CHV1410L vacuum's battery died. The battery is not replaceable. The vacuum still looks new. It would be wasteful to throw it in the trash because Black & Decker didn't design it. The vacuum only gets 3 stars from me. I've been working on electronic equipment for many years. I rebuilt a few batteries. I decided to replace my vacuum's batteries. This is not a project for the average person, so if you don't know about battery safety, skip this idea. The vacuum was disassembled by removing six screws. The battery pack can be removed by plugging in a cable. The battery pack's plastic case is held together by two plastic tabs. There are four 18650 size batteries and a circuit board in the case. The rebuilding process was done quickly. I used four high current flat top cells. These cells are found in high capacity devices. It is important to avoid overheating the cells while soldering them. I used a temperature controlled iron, added flux, and worked fast to minimize heat dwell time. The cells I used were these.
👤As many other 1 star reviews, the issue is the same. Some of the units' batteries seem to have major issues. It lasted less than a week. The B&D rep verified the production date on my model and here is their official response: "We sell millions of these units per year and unfortunately, some did have charger issues." If B&D isn't resolving this directly with you, you might want to make sure you don't send out these units.
👤I like this vacuum. I would have given it 5 stars before today. My 4-year-old is learning to clean up after herself and cleaning up hairs off my white tile bathroom floor is amazing. The charge was too low and it shut off yesterday. The batteries have gotten tired and need to be replaced, so I only have 30 seconds of use left. I order a replacement battery pack on the internet. It seems that it doesn't exist. I pulled it apart to see if I could jerry-rig a replacement, but I can't pry out the old batteries and solder new ones in, it looks like I'm out of luck. The batteries are attached to a circuit board, which makes it difficult for a lay person. Look at the picture. Black & Decker? You couldn't make the battery pack replaceable, so I need to throw away the vacuum? Not good. Not for my wallet, but for our planet.
👤I don't know how many B&D dustbusters we've thrown away. My family doesn't learn. After less than a year and a half of light use, our latest has a failing battery. The charge is being put out. The battery has 15.3v on it. The whine gets lower pitched as it drops to 9 volts in 40 seconds. The reviews are good. Is everyone used to using disposable tools? It's not like you could change the battery. Junk. As a contractor who puts the date of purchase on every battery, I can tell you that three to five years of constant use is what I get from the quality batteries I buy. I think everyone knows what brands are. I use 18v lithium batteries in my drills, impact drivers and circular saws.
Purchase a pet product from Bissell and they will donate 10 dollars to the pet foundation for every purchase. Even if it is embedded, triple action brush roll plus scatter free technology maximize pet hair pickup. The power cord can be used for quick and easy storage. The cleaning path width is 13 inches. Cleaning around furniture and obstacles can be done with a steering wheel. The edge to edge cleaning feature gets closer to the walls and corners. There are pet tools like the hair corner tool and the turbo eraser tool. Style 12141 is a replacement filter.
👤I own several vacuums. The best vacuum is a corded one from Miele. I have a Dyson V6 pet vac, which only lasts 15 minutes on a battery charge and never completes a job before running out of juice, and a battery operated stick vac, which is great for quick jobs. I have many vacuums to compare to. Why so many? We don't have to haul them up and down stairs because I have a vacuum on each floor. I like this vacuum so much that I deducted one star for some minor considerations. I chose a 10x15 area of carpet in the center of my living room because it had been vacuumed a couple weeks before. I have attached pictures of the amount of debris from that one small task, beginning with a brand new vacuum with a clean canister. I was surprised that it wasn't an area that had been neglected for a while, and we don't have a lot of traffic in this room, between my wife and I. The sponge can be cleaned under water. You get an idea of what the vacuum does when it's not being used. It's light weight and ability to maneuver is what I like the most. The vacuum head has a ball like action, which allows you to turn it with your wrist. I deducted one star because it presents some glide resistance when turning the vacuum head on plush carpet. Not much resistance, but one does notice the need to exert a little bit more in the way of forward force or arm exertion when doing so. It wasn't enough to dislike the vacuum. An observation. The head of the brush roller head is so high that it does not get under my sofa more than an inch, so it is a bit shorter and flatter to navigate under furniture. Its clearance is three feet. The vacuum won't go all the way under if the furniture front openings are shorter than 3. It will not go all the way back into the toe kick plate recess on my kitchen cabinets. The head height prevents that. I was impressed by the fact that the vacuum sucks up every single piece of debris when I run parallel to the wall and up to the baseboards. The cat whisker brushes that stick out on each side of the brush roller head help push dirt away from the baseboards so that the vacuum can suck them up. The feature was well executed. The retractable cord is a huge positive. I don't like having to wind cords onto the exterior clips of upright vacuums. This one has a foot button that you depress, which quickly and firmly reels in the cord to a slot on the bottom of the vacuum. There is no hesitation in reeling in the cord in this spring loaded action. The retention clip at the top of the vacuum handle can be used to suspend the cord while vacuuming, so it doesn't drag across the floor. I found the canister removal to be very easy to remove and put back into place, with a handle at the top of the canister that facilitates its removal and reinsertion. The Dyson V6 requires a stick or screwdriver to remove debris from its narrow clearances at the top of its canister, but the canister can hold a large amount of debris. There are 5 height settings for thick carpet. I tried out the vacuum on the middle setting for the first time. There are 3 foot activated switches. One can release the upright handle from a locked upright position to allow it to go into action mode. The cord reel is activated. The third button is the on/off button. There are 3 tools stored onboard, which can be interfaced directly with the flexible vacuum hose, or in conjunction with a straight extension tube to increase your reach. The 1st is a triangular corner crevice tool with vacuum ports running along each of its 2 triangular edges, along with soft short "capture" brushes for crumbs etc. There is no need for the 3 tools to be used if the end of the flex hose is removed from the mounting post. I think the small head brush tool is for upholstery and hard surfaces. I have always questioned the value of such brush tools in vacuum offerings, thinking that the brushes just move debris around instead of allowing the vacuum to interact with it. If you use something like that, it is there. The 3rd tool is a brush tool which can be used on stairs or upright surfaces, like drapes, and on sofas. I really like the idea of this tool, but Bissell decided not to use brushes in the rotary, instead going with flexible rubber like plastic "flaps" which are segments. The problem with these flaps is that when they come into contact with the carpet, it causes them to stall the vacuum head. The flaps stop turning when they stop resisting the carpet, so they block the flow of water from the hose. If you press down a lot on the carpet surface, the suction stops and the flaps turn. You have to glide over the surface with a very light hand to keep this tool working. It requires plastic flaps to be turned by a force, which works against it, and it also requires no electrical power being supplied to this small head. I can live with this shortcoming since I can still use the other hand tools to get the job done. One star deduct is a minor reason. The out of the box assembly is very easy to assemble, with only 2 parts needed, in order to keep the shipping box a bit shorter. The only thing needed is a phillips head screwdriver to attach the upper black plastic handle. Two screws are inserted into the guide holes. The flex hose and onboard tools have to be mounted onto the posts and ports on the vacuum so that everything is easy to use and stored. This vacuum is very strong in its price range. It has no weak points other than the hand tool which makes it hard to use on carpet.
The brushroll has no hair wrap. Use an upright vacuum to clean the floor. Lift-Away mode will allow you to easily clean above-floor areas like furniture and stairs. The vacuum cleaner has an anti-Allergen Complete Seal Technology that traps 99% of dust and allergens. It is easy to clean hard-to-reach areas with the help of the Swivel Steering. The control is to manage the power from hard floors to carpets. The bagless dust cup is easy to remove. Extra tools are included for tight spaces. The ZU560 series manual is accurate for both ZU560 and ZU561, but it is not in the box.
👤The hair does get wrapped around the brush, but it also seems to get a lot off the floor and a majority of it seems to eventually work it's way into the top of the canister. New photos were added. The anti-hair wrap technology made me pay more for this. I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt because the manual said that hair would unwrap. The hair is wrapped around the roll, and it doesn't seem to clear on its own. It doesn't seem to wrap as tightly around the roll as a standard vacuum so if you keep on top of cleaning it off, the roll can stay pretty clean. The vacuum is clean. It picked up dirt that it missed after I used it. I am pleased with the cleaning it provides, but I feel a little misled by the claim that hair wouldn't get wrapped around the roll, which led me to pay extra for this particular vacuum.
👤I have been using an old Dyson for a long time. I decided to buy a new vacuum after breaking it. I was looking for a replacement for my old one. My wife's friend mentioned the shark brand. I checked availability and read reviews before choosing this one. I was skeptical about the hair removal function after reading several reviews that said it wasn't working as advertised. I read all the reviews and looked at all the pictures. People were not happy about things like hair and gear melting. Most of the time, hair removal functions are just tricks and are not worth paying attention to. Two women with long hair are in the house with a dog. There is no shortage of hair around the house. We have to vacuum and sweep every week. We live out in the country and have to deal with a lot of dirt from the dog and the boy. As a hardwood floor professional, I have 80% of the house hardwood and just our bedroom is carpet. It was only a week between vacuuming and I was ready to buy a new machine and shipping was very fast. I bought a cheaper model at 160 bucks. I was eager to start cleaning the house after it arrived and I wanted to get rid of all the dog hair. This machine is amazing. I pulled more dirt out of our bedroom and found a canaster in it, but I was a bit humiliated because I knew it was in there. I pulled the dog hair, the wife's hair, and did not receive any tangles on the beater. These people are either trying to make the machine fail or they have a nasty house. I am very happy with my purchase, I am very happy with the price, I am very happy with the power of the unit, I am very happy with theVersatility, I am very happy with the power of the unit. I have the option to be a hand held short unit for the sofas, which means I can reach the corners of my ceiling or even stand straight up and clean the baseboards. The machine is built to a high standard. If my opinion on this machine is a bargain, I will save 250 dollars. Usually, with this machine, you get what you pay for, but you pay a very reasonable price. I still feel the same. Purchase extra for a change at least once a year after washing the filter. I have been able to get out of the factory set but they need to be replaced. The machine does a good job.
