👤If you are like me, you don't really understand the computer's specifications because they are already in the description. I am going to tell you what I love about this computer and what I use it for. I am a college student and a single mother. I used to use a HP All. I hate the computer I bought a year ago. It is very slow. I was hoping that it would be a little quicker. I got a computer that is faster than I could have ever imagined. I don't use this thing for much more than school work and Amazon reviews. This is what I needed. My Microsoft Word programs open instantly and don't take forever to load, unlike my HP does. The picture of the monitor is beautiful. Everything is clear. The keyboard has a back light. If you are watching a movie, the lit up key board will not bother you, because the back lights go away after a few seconds. The computer is light and easy to carry. I like the sleek design of it. This is a great computer for anyone who just needs a basic computer for the internet or spreadsheets. I wouldn't worry if my children couldn't complete their assignments in school if I took this computer with me to college, and I wouldn't worry if they couldn't complete their assignments in school if I sent them off to college with this computer. I am very happy with this product.

👤This is the best laptop deal you can get. Is it a touch screen? Nope. I don't think that feature is smart in a laptop. Touchscreen is a suck because it can change focus on the screen as you use the keyboard. The screen on this laptop is very good. Black is the best color for a gaming desktop monitor. If you feel like it, the chip inside is not needed. It is fast for a laptop. This will add memory and a hard drive. Do that. I added a 1tb drive and an 8gig memory stick. I have the same specifications as a $700 consumer laptop. What about gaming? It's perfect, I stream from my desktop. If you have a gaming machine, it won't run modern games at more than low settings. Don't buy this if you want to play games onboard. It's perfect to stream via steam. If you buy this for $300, spend an additional $50 or $100 on memory and storage, and then sit back and realize that you have a premier laptop for 1/3 of the money people are spending on nothing, then you should do it. The build quality is important. Eveything is solid. Some people can't tell the difference between this and any other laptop touchpad. It is not loose, responds as usual. The screen is better than laptops and is twice or three times the price. I like the compressed number pad on the right. It's what you need if you don't do a lot of 10-key stuff. The keyboard shuts off when you aren't using it. It was perfectly configured. The boots are in about 15 seconds. It is light and has some heft. It's hard to describe, but you can carry this all day in your backpack and not know it. The brick is about the size of a tube. I plan on buying an extra to travel with. This will work as a consumer laptop, but add some memory and a hard drive and you are Rushing. I can't help but praise this. You can get a premier laptop for less than $400 if you buy this and add a drive and memory stick. You get a better screen as well. It isn't hard for anyone to do that. You can update this machine if you can turn a screwdriver. Go in and turn off S mode. Go to the store and turn off S mode after you have activated Windows. This is better than what other companies are offering.

👤Don't waste your time with this. I thought I would ignore the bad reviews of this product because it was affordable. I need it for simple Word documents. The mouse pad is not working on the computer for the second day in a row. It looks like this has happened to many people. I threw the box away because it was a terrible purchase. This purchase was the worst of the year.

👤The laptop becomes unresponsive when the lid is closed for a few minutes. The screen is black, there is no keyboard or mouse, and the fan makes a loud noise. The power button needs to be held down for 10 seconds to perform a hard reset. Every time I use the laptop, it must be powered down, powered up, and rebooted. I tried to restore factory settings that had been removed. The issue remained after the issue was reset to factory state.

👤The only way to hear anything is in a dead quiet room, not that great even connected to a speaker. The battery life is less than 5 hours. The laptop I bought was disappointing. It will have issues turning on randomly. It has become a daily task trying to get it to turn on.

👤My sister is a school teacher and I bought her a laptop in June. She used it lightly over the summer and then heated it in class last week. It won't run now. Amazon has a 30 day guarantee. The call center lady wanted to help me, but she didn't have the authorization. She could not give me the phone number of the manufacturer because they wouldn't answer their phone. I am shocked by this. This is the third computer I have bought for my sister. They used to last 3 years with heavy classroom use. But not this one. Caveat Emptor.

👤I did a lot of research before buying this laptop. It was a good computer for the price. The reviews said it was short on memory. The built in ram was not large enough and the small drive was not good. There is an open slot for a second hard drive. A pack of hard drive screws with instructions on how to install a second drive was included by the company. I had a new 1tb laptop drive and a 8gb memory card, so I didn't waste time. The upgrade was easy. I have no complaints with this laptop. Some people were unhappy with the screen. It's clear to me that I don't know why. I am not on it for hours at a time because I am just a home user. I can still hear what I need even though the speakers are pointing down. I don't mind the touch pad on this one, I hated it on my last computer. This is not the best choice for someone who is a gaming or graphics enthusiast. I would definitely recommend this laptop for home use.

👤This thing is awesome so far. It is an i3 and it is very fast. I don't save a lot of my data so I don't need a bigger hard drive. I still have plenty of space, even though I did load the Microsoft Suite. I have never had a laptop that was as fast as this one. It is very user friendly and comes with Windows 11. I need a PC and I just gave it away because I was trying to navigate a Chromebook. If you plan to use an external hard drive to download a lot of documents, photos, or music, this will be perfect for you. I have only had it for a couple weeks and so far it has been smooth sailing.

👤I was angry at seeing a fake screen. It is a 178 view angle according to the description. There is a screen. I saw this one in 1997 and it has a 20 degree view angle. Maybe it is a fake computer. The screen was extinct in the 21st century. You can't figure out what color the screen is. Not at all. Even if you move slightly, the screen brightness stays the same. No matter what the distance is. It is very bad. The top and bottom of the screen have different colors.

👤Ok. Let's talk. There was no fake optimism. This purchase was the best I have ever bought on Amazon. The laptop exceeded all expectations. When I saw the laptop for the first time, the screen was bigger than I anticipated. I like the feeling of the keys. There are a lot of reviews complaining about the screen quality. Ok. The screen is great. I'm not seeing anything wrong with it. There is nothing wrong with those people being computer experts. I wanted to do some gaming. That's right. The laptop is great for gaming. It has taken everything I've downloaded so far and is still purring. This is a great laptop. I think you should get it.

👤Really like this purchase. Core i3 1005G1 has 128 gigabytes of storage and 8 gigabytes of RAM. It is very responsive. The fingerprint logon is very fast and is one of the reasons I chose it over the cheaper one. My wife only needs the most basic specs, so I got this for her. I wanted to get a 10th generation Intl Core or a 4000 series. I would not change anything about it for the price, except that it should have had more storage. They could have invested $10 more for a larger SSD, but they chose to pay $20 for a small one. The laptop I have has less RAM than my one, but it does not feel slow. There was no bloatware from Asus. Office365 is pre-installed in three different languages. It takes 7 minutes to uninstall each language. Are they hoping that you lose patience and give up the install so it won't pestering you? The only reason I helped my wife set up the laptop was because Windows S Mode was disabling. It has so little bloatware that it might be the reason. There are pros to ports! It's nice to have 4usb ports and one of them being a flash drive and a 1920x1080 display. The core i3 is responsive. Light weight and slim. Thin edges. The plastic case is very premium and lighter than the aluminum HP Envy it replaced. Excellent keyboard and track pad. There is no wired LAN. It surpasses my exceptions in everything except storage. There is a small amount of storage on the small side. I would rather upgrade the storage later than buy a larger drive. The price point makes it hard to pick out the best colors for the liquid crystal display. I don't care if the viewing angles are on the poorer side or not. I was getting stutters when I used the FireFox browser to run Zoom VideoConferencing and Google Sheets. The system resource meter showed the utilization of the resources. 70% of the memory usage is used. It means it was doing pagefile swaps. I had a stick of 8GBDDR-4 2666 laying around so I replaced the 4GBDDR-4 3200 to get a total of 12GB RAM. That was the trick. For the same workload, memory utilization is 50%.

👤You may have been one of the people waiting in line for a laptop on Black Friday. After you won the prize, you realized that it was not a good deal. The build quality of the laptop keeps it above water. Windows 10 S is a very restricted version of Windows 10 that restricts some multitasking and only allows official apps to be installed. There are different reasons for it to exist. It is a lightweight version of the operating system that is more in line with a Chromebooks. I went in with an open mind after my first experience with it. Everything seemed slow. Isn't Windows 10 S supposed to be fast? Sometimes a new computer feels slow when it is downloaded and installed in the background. The computer was up to date when I checked it. The internet on my home was spotty. Sometimes the web browser wouldn't work at all, and other times it wouldn't work at all. I realized that almost everything I do on a computer is not accessible in Windows 10 S. I use a video player to watch movies. I decided to upgrade to standard Windows 10 home, which is free, but the page for that kept stalling out. After giving the laptop a day off and taking it to work, Windows successfully switched off of S mode. I had to use a Microsoft account to do that. There were a lot of updates that I could install. Even if it was still on the slower side, the laptop was 500% faster. It worked well on my home network. There are warnings that the computer will be slowed down to switch. I went into power settings and turned off theGPUthrottle, which is a trick hardware makers play to give better battery life estimates at the cost of performance. I was able to browse the web and watch video after I downloaded my preferred browser and software. I tried to use the HDMI port, but it wouldn't let me use the monitor. There is a glitch that may be related to the monitor. Normally, a computer that does not support HDR will only output non-HDR and it will work fine, but something strange was happening with the settings vanishing. After a lot of tinkering, I tried Miracast and it worked, but it cuts out after 20 minutes each time. The screen is old. The viewing angles require very direct aiming of the screen at the viewer, which I can live with. The screen looks washed out when I stand up. This is not acceptable on a cheap laptop. The build quality is good for the price. It has a business laptop look that is not offensive and is more sturdy than some of its competitors. The traditional block type is what the charger is. The current price of the laptop is pretty low, but it could be worth buying at a very low price. If you just need some light browsing and can deal with the headaches of the OS, I could see it having merit.

👤A small home computer. It's perfect for my needs. I use the Asus to do general home office work. The description of the computer stated "backlit keyboard". The keys are lit up so that you can see the letters in dim light. This isn't the case. There are little lights underneath the keys, but they are not helpful in seeing the actual symbols on the keys. The computer is portable. I am happy with my purchase.

👤You can't buy a laptop with an OS that you own. If the laptop is advertised as a laptop with an OS installed, but the restore partition or the storage is broken, I could give a decent review.

👤It's a good laptop for simple uses. It's good, other than I don't like Microsoft Edge.

👤It is very easy to carry.

👤The speakers are on the bottom facing your lap or any other surface. I would like to hear the sound of my testi satchel. The screen is not as good as my 15 year old laptop.

👤I'm giving this engine a five star rating. Why? It's two hundred dollars. I'm reviewing it for two hundred dollars. It would probably be three stars if I compared it to the Macbook Air M1. I would compare it to a Microsoft Surface in three and a half. It's a small, budget laptop, and it's excellent. It blows my mind how good of a job they did. I've used a lot of computers, and this one impressed me. If you've ever had a cheap or even more expensive laptop, you'll feel the difference immediately. It has a few issues, none of which are deal breakers, but it has many pros. Read on. The Pros is an excellent price to performance ratio, with no cheap parts, a small and lightweight design, and a full-size keyboard. It's $200 and I have a full Windows 10 license. There is no backlight keyboard on the 11.6 model. I've divided the review into individual sections, so you can scroll down to the one that's closest to you. The weight and build keyboard and trackpad screen battery performance are the first ones. There are a few things to know about the Webcam Speakers & Sound Software Linux Other. I have only been using it for a few weeks, so I have enough time to get a good idea of its capabilities. There are a few things I've noticed that I've added to this review. If more arise, I'll add more. It made me wonder if it was worth it. $200 is a good price. The second caveat is that there are a few reviewers who say that A, they got a dud, or B, it clunked out on them after two years. This is no exception with any product. I won't deduct stars from my review if mine goes on the fritz. It's a good product if you use it for two years. Just buy another one. Let's get into the details with that being said. This is one of the strengths and it is one of the strongest. It's not a flimsy toy, there's no creaks, no cheap plastic waiting to shatter, it's not a toy. It's an electronic. It feels right in your hands, on your lap. Many laptops try and woo you with larger screens or better specifications, and end up being cup coasters you have to plug in. Not this. It feels like it has something left in it. It's not obscenely light, like a MacBook Air, but you can use it on your lap without strain. The weight is sufficient if you are traveling. I would be able to carry it through the airport. The screen hinge is durable and will not break anytime soon, and when you set it at the position you want it to stay, it stays. The laptop is thin, and that's a nice bonus. Steve Jobs used a slightly larger envelope than you could fit it in. Keyboard and tracker. I'm in love with the keyboard. It's full size, no small keys or accidentally presses. It feels good to use the give, it is decisive and gratifying. The keyboard is the only thing they cut that's too close to the corner on. There is no light. I'm not sure, but mine doesn't have a backlight. I got the 11.6 model. I'm considering getting a book light because this can be frustrating. I can type in the dark. This is a two hundred dollar laptop, so it is what it is. I will make due. The 'delete' key is next to the power key. It's a shame. The computer goes into sleep mode when I press the delete key a few times. This is more of a hassle. You can press the power button again and it will start again. I'm sure you'll learn quickly to be cautious if you're doing sensitive work. The 'enter' key is green. I thought it was odd, but I really like it. It's hard to explain. The click on the trackpad is decisive and gratifying. It's very good at doing what I expect it to, and I don't have any issues accidentally pressing it. The mouse clicks if I click or tap. If I click on the right, it clicks. It is very easy to scroll. The keyboard has a nice touch, but I would have swapped it for a backlit keyboard. This is a two hundred dollar laptop, going back to where we started. You're not getting a large display from Apple. There are some viewing angle problems you have to deal with. Everything looks good if you look directly at it. If you bend the screen back, there's a noticeable change in tone. It won't interfere with your work, and it is what it is. It's not a good idea to color grade it for professional photoshoots. The screen resolution is correct. The screen is small, but there is enough room to do what you want. This is one of the most important factors. If it was cramped, it would make you have a headaches and strain your eyes. They did a good job of making sure that there was breathing room and a buffer zone around what you're focused on. You feel like you can engage in more than one thing. Some reviewers think it's not a touch screen. You can't please everyone. It's not something I feel is missing, especially for $200. ATTERY. The battery life is holding up. I watched two movies and used them for four hours, and still had 17%, even though the time remaining Windows estimates seems to vary quite a bit. It's the kind of thing you can charge at night and it will last you the day. It doesn't have quick charge, but I'm not worried about it. Most of the time, I'm near a power outlet. If quick charge is an issue for you, you're in the wrong price point. The charging port plugs in. You need to give it a push to pull it out. Which can be pro or con. The whole thing will go flying off the table if you trip on the cord. The cord can fall out, but you can re-position the device. This is one of its biggest strengths, and I was surprised. The components come together to make a seamless experience. I was worried about the name of the Intel Processor, but it turns out it's actually an Intel Celeron. Only four gig of memory? Doesn't seem like enough. It has some left over, and managed to muscle out the minimum. I think this is due to the SSD. A few years ago, laptop manufacturers had two options for storage: a physical hard drive, which was expensive, bulky, and a power drain, or some sort of memory like a thumb drive. Both were big bottle necks. This thing has a solid state drive. That makes the difference. With a decent processor, just enough memory, and the SSD, it will do any task you ask it to do without a hitch. Performance should never be a problem under reasonable conditions. The original 40K: Dawn of War series is one of my favorites. Even with mod, this plays it perfectly. Which is very welcome. I can imagine it can play other games, like Age of Empires, Among Us, Terraria, and maybe evenMinecraft. is a great place to look for great old games. The NVMe slot is a must have for light gaming. The lack of RAM is starting to become an issue after using it for some weeks. Even day-to-day tasks can overwhelm memory, but Windows has done a good job of managing it. This means that the system has run out of memory and that there are stopped applications, dropped tabs, and system notifications. After a restart, Windows wanted to help set up my system, which is a big error. My files, settings and programs were all intact. It's kind of frightening. I was running a few programs. If you're planning on using this for more, be aware. TheWebcam is about what you would expect. There are no dropped frames, and the color processing is good. It's due if you need aWebcam on the fly. If you use a webcams for serious purposes, I would suggest investing in a nice one, which you were probably going to do anyway. The device will be able to handle it. The microphone is actually great. Audio is clear and audible. The video quality won't be great, but you won't have a problem being heard and understood if you use the onboard webcam. Speaker and sound. The speakers are pointing down. It doesn't distort the sound and makes them impossible to hear. I haven't had an issue hearing the movies because they get loud. I'm not a huge fan of audio, but I can say that these speakers are good. They're not bad, but they're not as good as Beethoven's 5th. The bass and other parts of the sound are balanced and clear. If you're using it for casual media use, the lackluster sound quality will fade into the background and you'll be able to enjoy whatever you're doing. They didn't skimp on the headphone amplifier. I tested it with a pair of studio monitors that have a higher than average impedance. The amplifier produced clear and pleasing sound despite not reaching optimal levels. It has a nice kick to it. It's more than adequate for an onboard amplifier. If you use an external amplifier to amplify your sound, it's important that it can be boosted. There are a few pieces of software you want to uninstall. MyAsus, MyAsus. If you don't know what bloatware is, ask the techy in your family to remove it for you. Fortunately, none of them are hardcoded into the software or hardware, so uninstall them is straightforward and easy. The laptop comes in Windows S mode, which is suppose to be a simpler version of Windows, but has some limitations for power users. It was easy to convert into regular Windows 10. I haven't had to worry about it since I clicked a button. I'm not a huge fan of Linux. I know enough to install and use it on a day-to-day basis, and for low- performance computers like this one, Linux is exciting. There isn't any support for Linux or the WiFi card in the system. Most people who need or prefer Linux have taken to using ausb wi-fi antenna. I don't know enough about the situation to speak about it. The SD Card Slot is helpful. It comes with 64 gig of storage. I like to watch public domain films. It's easy to plug in an SD card, set up uTorrent to load all the unfinished and finished torrents onto the card, and that's all it takes. You can download movies and play one at the same time with any of the fastSD cards you buy. The reviewers pointed out that it has a slot for an NVMe SSD. If you don't know what it is, it probably doesn't make a difference. It's a very helpful addition if you do. Applause. It has a lot of ports. There are two ports, ausb-c port, and an auxiliary port. I use the HDMI port on my TV to watch a movie. The quality of the movie file will make a difference, but the sound compression changes that are necessary with downloaded media help a lot. Performance doesn't seem to be affected by what's happening in a scene or the amount of sound. It's what you want if you're planning on using it for presentations. Plug and play. You wouldn't be able to tell if it's on when it's unplugged. It does heat up if you're running a process intensive program or have it plugged in. It's possible to use it on your lap. I don't think heating is an issue. If you live in a dusty environment, it's a big deal that it's fanless. You won't be running it into the ground just by using it, as the fan will try to compensate for all the dust. It will turn off if it gets too hot. It won't hurt it. I like taking care of my computers, so I like the ease of cleaning them. A lot of the issues you would come across are alleviated by being fanless. It will be interesting to see how that plays out, as you can't access behind the keyboard. You might be able to remove each key and clean it out, but I wouldn't try it without doing some research and weighing the benefits and risks. Either way, you should buy a small pack of Q-tips, a little bottle of house hold cleaner, and lens clothes and throw them in the bag or case you're carrying the laptop in. You can use the lens cloth to wipe down the exterior of the keyboard if you go over it with the Q-tips. I don't know if it will add to the life of the machine, but it will feel better. It is worth taking pride in your devices. The bottom line is, is it worth it? Everything from the build quality to the performance to the keyboard makes it a very enjoyable and complete experience. It's great for day-to-day use and has a little strength to it. The product is real and has something to say to higher end laptops. I think you will be very pleased if you decide to go with this.

👤The experience with a laptop was the worst. The price is attractive, but it is not worth the shipping cost. The laptop can't run windows. A simple task of opening an excel sheet caused the laptop to freeze. I put the internet browser back in the box after 3 hours of trying to load it. The seller knows the product is a scam, which is why I am still waiting, and probably won't get a refund. It should have been a chromebook or an e-reader.

👤The keyboard is as good as my expensive laptops. The finish and feel are related. 99% of what normal people do on laptops is fine. I have 5 tabs open in my browser. I have also played some games. No problem. I love this laptop. Solid battery life. There is a big screen. There were no complaints.

👤The laptop is worthless. It can't run a program. I am not sure if it can. It is freezing nonstop. You threw away money because you can't use it. We didn't want to spend a ton of money on it, but it can't even open it's own settings without freezing, which is why we didn't need it for much. Don't waste your money.

👤The purchase was terrible. It was advertised as a one year subscription to Office. There is no key for the office. Vendor wont help, Amazon wont fulfill missing key, and lenove says the product only comes with 1 month trial. Two weeks of help from any party. I already ordered Office from Amazon and they offered a discount on it. They expect me to do it again.

👤It runs a program called Windows 10 S for computers that don't have enough memory or computing power to run real Windows 10. If you try to turn on real Windows 10, you will get a warning that you should not do so. You can't go back to Windows 10 S if you convert to real Windows 10. If you want to install Chrome or Firefox, you have to blow away Windows 10 S. It is slow when running Windows 10 S. Everything takes a long time to load. The computer is in my possession. It does what I need. I wanted it to be able to play DVD's on an external drive, and I wanted it to display the Amazon Music Player app properly. It does both of those things. I had an illusion that I could use this computer to program in computer languages using a visual GUI. This computer is only sold on Amazon. Amazon won't sell this computer directly. The price may be cheaper elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this computer for general use. A person said that a student used the computer as their main computer. It's hard to believe that a student can use it. The student should not worry about figuring out ways to get the computer to do what it is supposed to do. The computer is being advertised as running Windows 10. It only runs a crippled version of Windows 10. One can get a Chromebooks for the same price and it will do everything this computer does and do it much better and faster, without any of the annoyances this computer brings with it. I would feel cheated if the computer was cheap.

👤The screen goes black when my zoom doesn't work. When I wrote to the company, they didn't reply. It has a blue tip plug, which I have heard is an older computer. I think this is an older computer that someone upgraded and sold as new. Someone put a sticker on the box that said 4 MB and it was very slow. Don't buy.

👤I have been using this computer for over a year and a half, but I don't know why I open the laptop and touch my finger pad every time I close it. I have to turn the laptop back on, even though I didn't do it. It is frustrating. The laptops performance works as I expected it to, as far as I am concerned. I don't like the fact that it doesn't allow me to make DuckDuckGo my home page for a search engine. I had to use the "S" mode to download the free version of a word processing program that is compatible with all your Microsoft word files from the past.

👤The ad said it had a keyboard. It wasn't.

👤It is hard to rate it because it has only been 2 days since I got it set up. It responds quickly. It was easy to setup. I haven't spent a lot of time on it. It might be worth a 5 later.

👤The keyboard does not have a light, the start button does not have a light, and the buttons do not function. I had to open the calculator to make sure the numbers lock was on. For $400, I expected lights.

👤Me agrad: el tiempo, el servicio, and las actualizaciones.

👤This is what I wanted. It's lightweight and perfect for home or office.

👤As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. I didn't get that.

9. Lenovo Chromebook Convertible 11 6 Inch 81HY0000US

Lenovo Chromebook Convertible 11 6 Inch 81HY0000US

Windows 10 is in S mode. 65 Watts is the maximum power supply wattage. The Chromebook C330 is a high performance device that boots up in seconds and has plenty of memory and storage. The sleek, stylish, and secure 3600 convertible laptop is about the weight of a hardback book and has an 11-inch touchscreen display that's perfect for day-to-day computing and multimedia. The C330 is easy to use, has built-in virus protection, and has a long battery life. You don't need to setup it, just log in with a Google account and everything will stay in the cloud. The notebook computer has a variety of ports for easy connection. Stay in touch with the built-in camera. It was 4.2. One happy reviewer said it was high end features for a low price. The Chromebook has far exceeded my expectations. The device responds quickly to gestures and commands and the speed is quick. One happy reviewer said it was high end features for a low price. 👤This is a great price for a Chromebooks. I've done a lot of research and it checks a lot of boxes. 1. Solid build. The plastic is sturdy. It is lightweight. There is a C port, a card slot, and a HDMI port. The Touchscreen has anIPS display. 64 gig of storage and 4 gig of RAM. At this price point, it is rare. The keyboard and track pad feel good. 6. Most low-end Chromebooks run the Intelcelerons, but the ARM processor that is designed for the play store runs much better than that. You get a lot for $300. You can't find those options in that price range. I wish it had a FHD display. The 1366x768 is still sharp on an 11.6 in screen but it would be better if it was high definition. I would recommend this device to anyone.

👤It took over 60 seconds for it to be opened for the first time. 1. Turn on 2. You need to sign in with your account on the internet. 3. You can choose the network you want to use. Everything is set up, all of your bookmarks, mail, and pictures are there. I used to spend a lot of time setting up, updating, and denying "trial offers" on Windows PCs. There is nothing on this. It is ready for use within a minute. Take notes with Windows.

👤I am not an IT professional but I use my laptops, tablets, and desktop computers daily in my work and personal life. The chromebook has exceeded my expectations. I have never used a chromebook before. I have been looking at the device for a week or so. I own an alienware gaming laptop, but I only use it for gaming now. I think this chromebook is fast. The device responds quickly to gestures and commands. I can't do this on my windows laptop because I'm playing gaming. One game that I like to play requires windows, mac, or linux. This does not support linux applications at the moment because it has an ARM processor. The device is a white chromebook. Even though it is made from plastic, the design is pleasing to the eye and looks sturdy. I don't like using it in tablet mode. The screen is too large in tablet mode. The screen quickly transitions from laptop, tent, or tablet mode to whatever position it is in. I don't use my tablets much except when I need internet away from home. The design is great. The keyboard is on par with most laptop keyboards. I feel my typing has slowed a bit because of the shallow keys, but not by much. I rarely have to touch the screen more than once for my intended gesture because of the responsiveness of the IPS touchscreen. The screen is bright in the home, but not as bright outdoors. The ease of use is due to the store on the internet. I haven't tried any intense applications. I use a lot of apps. All of them are responsive. The bank apps are in a small window because they load like they are in phone mode. The apps work as they were designed. It is pleasant to watch on the screen. I am impressed with the device and the OS. I suggest you give it a try if your person is on the fence about the operating system. The battery life is good. My gaming laptop has a cord tethering it. I know a gaming laptop is more power intensive. I haven't used the chromebook yet. The battery has allowed me to use my phone and internet for hours at a time. I charge it at night and never put it back on. This is the maximum screen brightness. I was surprised by the speakers. The speakers were loud. I expected them to be cheap, but not great, and that's not the case with this chromebook. I use a headset that is compatible with the internet. The headset is simple. I set up my brother's wireless laser printer in less than 30 seconds. lenovo delivered a solid product because of the work done by Google. I would have spent $300 if I had purchased this on sale for $200. I highly recommend this if you are a web surfer, music listener, or watcher. If you need intense software, go with windows. I think you'll use this as your primary device if you don't.

10. Lenovo Chromebook MediaTek Processor 81JW0000US

Lenovo Chromebook MediaTek Processor 81JW0000US

The laptop is high performance. The Chromebook S330 has a MediaTek MTK8173C Processor, a 4 GBLPDDR3 and 64 GB eMMC 5.1. 👤This is my first computer and I love it. The simplicity of this thing is amazing, I have an expensive Windows 10 PC that drives me crazy, and I find Windows has become a very intrusive and confusing computer, that is why I find it so hard to use. Trying to figure out how to remove all that stuff is a real pain, and Windows makes it hard to find. The ease of this is similar to using a phone. The screen resolution looks fine to me. I don't want to comment on the battery life because I only use it as a stay in one place computer, and I haven't unplugged it yet. If you never used them, you'll have no problem once you get used to them. I already use them on my phone, so it was not a problem for me. It's a good thing that you can't download outside programs because I only use it to surf the web, shop, emails and files. You won't pick up any viruses because you can't download programs. You can always download a photo app from the Play store. I've found the storage and speed to be fine, it doesn't seem to slow down with many tabs open. You can download a lot of apps from the play store. I don't use it to stream movies or play games so I can't comment on that, but I will use it to stream stuff from YouTube. If you want a laptop that does the basics like I do, then you can't go wrong with this. It's better than a low cost Windows PC. I gave away my low end Windows PC because I hated it so much that I didn't want to use it anymore. It was slow and intrusive. It's easy to have a giant phone with a keyboard. I took away one star because I think it could use one more port, and if you use a computer like I do, you will too. It's a good thing. The model S330 comes in different specifications. My review is based on the model with a higher resolution screen and more memory. The S330 has less memory and less resolution.

👤You will be paid for the time you'll need to spend doing their job for them, if you receive a written promise from Lenovo quality control. I've had this laptop for a few days, and already I've spent too much time restarting it. On the day it arrived, it turned off. Repeatedly. I ran powerwash. Same issue. The value proposition for this Chromebook is that you can simply open the box and get started. Value has not been delivered. If I wanted this much trouble, I'd run my old Dell's with Vista. There is an update on 4/23. Two more times, powerwash. I spoke with Amazon. I spoke with a person from the company. Recovered all of the chrome OS. It still freezes and crashes. I ordered a second one and am returning it. Maybe this one is a lemon. I'll update here if the second machine works as expected. I'll return it and post a second review if it doesn't work out. So far, the time has been wasted 12 times.

👤I went to the store and bought this today because I didn't want to wait two days. This is how you do a cost down version of a premium product. If you want to spend more than $550, you should not get the 128Gb model unless you have an absolute limit on what you can spend. The screen is the first thing we should start with. The screen still looks amazing despite the resolution hit. The 3:2 aspect ratio is great, the colors are nice, and I wish laptop manufacturers would make 3:2 computers for people that work more than they watch videos, and I think Microsoft thought that if you really need it. The laptop doesn't really target the high end crowd, but it is a budget computer. The keyboard feels great! The keys aren't loud and they aren't mushy. The right balance of noise is what we want. The keyboard isn't backlit. It's understandable that they need to get long battery life and backlit keyboards since they do take a lot of power over time. The keys are evenly spread out. Tab is a little smaller but that's fine. The fingerprints on the windows are quicker than the ones on my phone. It is not uncomfortably hot when on the lap. When I'm torturing testing the thing, it gets loud. It's nice and quiet if you want to do video chat or work on light work. The Windows S mode should be turned off immediately if you have the $550 version. The Windows Store is not good for Microsoft. I wish there was an Alcantara variant. The softer feel of the keyboards is what I like the most. I would recommend people get the $700 version.

👤I bought a laptop from Best Buy. I got a lot of headaches initially, but figured out how to make this laptop more usable. It's up to you to decide if this laptop suits you since the Laptop 3s are getting cheaper. The size and weight of the laptop are very nice. The 12.4" device has a small form factor so it's easy to take anywhere: to the living room, kitchen, backyard library, and conference. At 2.5 lbs. It's more enjoyable taking this than a 3.5 lbs machine. It feels a little heavier than it is. The 3x2 is good. The colors look nice, but a graphic designer would want an external monitor. It's a glossy screen and the glare is manageable - I've used matt screens all of my life and am preferring the more vivid colors of a glossy screen. It's bright enough for use indoors. I use it at two or three levels below the maximum brightness in my room. The issue of the density has been brought up in many reviews. The resolution is 1536 x 1024. This is lower than a laptop like my Carbon which is 14". If you really look for the pixels, it's not a big deal. I would like the resolution to be a bit higher. But. Oh well. The screen can only be folded back for a total of 130-145 degrees, which is annoying. I would like it to go further down. I use my laptop on my lap a lot and sometimes have to tilt the keyboard up to have the screen parallel to my line of sight. It's annoying to me. I'm not sure if many people use their laptops like this. The dimensions of the screen are 3x2 as opposed to 16x9 laptops. The former allows for more vertical space. You don't have to scroll down as much. It's great for everything, from spreadsheets with lots of rows to long online articles. The trade-off is worth it, as movies will have some black bars at the top. The keyboard is pleasant to use. This was a big factor in getting this laptop. The Go has keys that are responsive, have good feedback, and have good travel. The typing experience is ruined by so many keyboards. The spacing is another thing. The Go feels a little more compact than many keyboards, which I like, but some people may not like it. I like using the Ctrl button with my finger. I don't like that stretch on the keyboards. The Go's keyboard has a lack of backlighting on the 13" and 15" models. Some people want to use the keyboard at night. This feature is not a deal breaker to me. The best thing I've used on a PC laptop is the touchpad. It feels smooth. There are three ports on the left side of the computer. I thought it was too small since I have a lot of ports. There are headphones jacks. This is not a machine for people who use a lot of power. Nowadays, you don't need as many ports as you used to. The audio is good. The sound is loud and has punch. I have enough bass for me. I would prefer more clarity in the mids. Since this is a laptop, there's not much I can complain about. temper your expectations and keep that in mind. I'm happy. I'd like to watch a movie on this computer. The camera is pretty good. I'm not sure why people would care about laptop webcams when they know that they are restricted because of size. The one on the Go will suffice for calls to friends and family. The quality of the video on the review site was very good for a laptop camera. The Surface Laptop Go comes in three configurations. The lowest variation has 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage. I understand why Microsoft made this an option, it's mostly for students or basic users and also to lure you in to the more expensive versions. This is a big complaint, and most people will recommend the middle version, which has 8GB of memory and 128GB SSD. Some people will be fine with less than 4GB. If you're just typing Word documents, browsing with a few tabs, or watching a show, you'll be fine. For those who use applications that need more resources, go with the middle configuration. The recommended variation costs $200 more, but still has you with a large amount of storage. This is dumb. You can get a 128gigabyte flash drive. Hard drive storage is less important because lots of stuff is cloud-based. If you work with a lot of media, you might want to look at a different laptop. If you know what an external hard drive is, you don't need a laptop that has a lot of storage. For the same specifications, people will say you can get a cheaper laptop. Yes, but would it have a bad keyboard? Is it going to be light and small to carry? It's not an apples-to-apples comparison. Many laptops are boring and generic. The Surface Laptop Go has an outward personality. The college kid, stay-at- home mom, and social media darling would wear this. I only own black and silver laptops, but I like this as an everyday driver. What are the negatives about this laptop? The biggest is that the fan warms up when it's charged or if performance is pushed. I found a solution that works for me. See the end of the review. The battery is not average. I'm used to charging my laptops often and this doesn't bother me as much as other people. You can see a difference if you turn the brightness down a little. I don't know how reviewers get more than 10 hours on a laptop. They need to be on 50% brightness and cooking dinner, showering, and jogging to get good battery life. If you're on your computer, I wouldn't pay attention to those reviews. Windows S is the default by Microsoft. Most people turn off Windows S because it doesn't allow for installation of non-Microsoft software, such as browsers, or third-party programs. Really? You just need to create a Microsoft account and switch out of S mode. You only need to do it once. Shame on Microsoft. Intel Graphics Command Center can turn off adaptive brightness. This is not a Surface issue. It's one of the most annoying settings on a laptop. If you can deal with the issues, this is a good overall laptop. I'm not sure if this is for the average user who doesn't want nonsense, because you need to adjust many settings to make this laptop work well. It wasn't designed to be a powerhouse. The price-to-specs ratio is a little higher than average but that's up to each individual. The Surface Laptop 3 15 might be a better value. --- How do you keep the fans from spinning so loudly? The maximum processor state needs to be set to 90%. Under Control Panel, there is an option to change the advance power settings. Oh, but wait. The Windows version on the Go has fewer options to manage things. You can install that.reg file by going to the "ten forums maximum processor state" section on the internet. That has made a difference. The fan is more acceptable because it doesn't whirl up as much.
