👤It appears that any update to the OS beyond what is included on the machine will cause the touchscreen function to be disabled. Even if a factory reset is done, the touchscreen can never be fixed until there is a potential repaired OS update. The OS was updated automatically after about 2 hours and the screen is kaput.

👤I will write out the situation. The touchscreen stopped working the day after I got a ChromeOS update. It was working well before, but now nothing. The device still recognizes it is in tablet mode, but the screen won't work. I am not sure if this is a ChromeOS issue, but I have looked online and can't find a solution. I tried a reset, but it didn't work, I tried disabling flags in Chrome, but it still didn't work. Nothing I can do can get this device to work again. You think that an OS from the company that makes Android would have some touchscreen settings in ChromeOS. I have to advise against this for now, but I will still investigate.

👤I got the one that stopped working after a couple of days. They called up Amazon and got a new one. We did not use the second one for a couple of weeks, but when we opened it, the touch screen didn't respond. Again, it's another thing. Amazon wants to charge a 15% fee, so they refuse to refunds. I called up the service and spent an hour talking with them, and they asked me to send it back to the factory. The amount of time I have spent on this is enormous. My daughter's study is being affected by it. Don't ever go for it. I think I'll get a 85% refund instead of repairing it, just to get rid of it. I had to pay 15% of the price for the product that I returned. I should have had a 100% return on this product. This product does not work. It's not certain if AMAZON or leNOVO will read the backs of the books. I missed out because I didn't use it for 3 weeks. The 30 day return window.

👤The touch screen stops working after an update. Everything else works. To get back to chromeos 87, you have to use a powerwash and reverting. The touch screen on the latest ChromeOS is useless because it is not compatible with the newest update. I had this issue on two of the Chromebooks. I returned the first one because I thought it was a hardware defect, but it turns out it was a compatibility issue with the latest version of ChromeOS.

👤The price and size were right for my application. I bought it for the touch screen. I don't know if I got a bad one or not, but the one I got does not have a touch screen. I thought it would be available in the application. Nope. There is no touch screen.

👤Many people said that the touchscreen stopped working after the update to Chrome OS. This was a temporary problem and has been fixed. I just purchased a new computer and am very happy with it. It was updated to chrome OS v. 94 and it still works perfectly. It's enough for most office tasks, including streaming movies, web browsing and the like. For its price, it can't be beat. This is my second computer. I have been in the computer field my entire life and have owned 3 Windows PCs, a MacBook Air, 2 iPads, and an iPad. I am familiar with various computers and technologies because I teach computer science and programming.

👤The laptop is amazing and I didn't listen to the negative reviews. It has exceeded my expectations. I bought this during prime day and my daughter asked if I was scared that the computer wouldn't work, I said no because of the return policy. I love it, but I am not returning it. I gave him a name because I love it so much.

👤Don't buy from New Sun Mart. If I could, I would give 0 stars. The Chromebook webcam didn't work correctly upon arrival. Chromebook was in an Amazon box that had been opened and was completely beat up. The seller did not agree to pay for return shipping. The product arrived with a malfunctioningWebcam I don't have to pay to return a broken chromebook. There was no resolution after multiple emails, phone calls, and text messages. The customer service is terrible. I was sold a faulty product and now the seller and Amazon want me to pay to return it. Very disappointed with Amazon. Don't buy items from 3rd party sellers.

👤The laptop was sent to a 19 year old who works full time and is almost completely financially dependent on himself. I looked at a lot of laptops before buying this one. The quality of the laptop far exceeds what I was hoping for, and it came 2 days earlier than expected. It's not the most high end laptop, but it's sleek, has a durable keyboard, really good keyboard clicks, and the backlight on the keyboard is exceptional. The display is pleasing to me. I don't mind the resolution. The first thing I did when I opened the laptop was connect to the internet, it took one second, but I read the reviews that the laptop has a hard time connecting to the internet. Go nuts! The quality of the laptop is 5 stars and it's cheap.

👤I wish I never bought this laptop. I only had it since March, and it's useless. The Asurion warranty is a joke. I knew it was just a matter of time before I had three kids in the house. Two weeks ago, that time came. I filed a claim, but Asurion denied all of them. They're not easy to reach. After a few days of calls, I was put in touch with HP. $350-$400 is the cost of fixing it, and that's the cost of the whole laptop. I'm trying to get my warranty refunds, but I'll still have the issue of this wasted purchase, since I only got to use it for ninety days. My only other option is to fix it on my own. If you plan to go this route, you should know the cost of the part. Had I known what a torturous process this would be, I wouldn't have purchased this shiny paperweight.

👤The internet connection would drop every 5 minutes or so, even though this was connected to the internet. I have about 20 other devices on my home wireless network, with 500mb of internet, and they all work. I found reviews from other people who had the same problem and they were never able to solve it with troublshooting. I tried power-wiping, but it didn't fix it. It's a chromebook. I don't expect to have to work with customer service to fix it. The other 4 did and worked just fine without interruption, and the Chromebooks should just boot up and go. Returning with no hassles from Amazon.

3. Lenovo IdeaPad A6 Platinum 81VS009GUS

Lenovo IdeaPad A6 Platinum 81VS009GUS

A long- lasting battery and an Intel Celeron processor are what power and performance tackle. Add up to 400GB with a microSD card, and you have 32GB of built-in memory.

👤I went looking for reviews of a good cheap laptop that works well for a student after my old one broke. I thought this was the one that had good reviews and was under $300. All the reviews said this was a great budget laptop for students. I didn't expect a top quality performance, but I expected it to be able to open a website without freezing up. It can't last more than 5 minutes in a zoom session without freezing up and forcing you to close the app. I'll be returning the laptop since it can't do the most basic tasks for a student with online classes.

👤I bought a computer for my husband. I am familiar with HP and they decided to give the company another chance. I read the reviews before buying it. My husband only uses the computer on a casual basis, so I was happy that it would be good for him. He doesn't have a lot of experience with computers. The screen is very dark if the computer is not plugged in. The bottom of the computer gets very hot after a couple of hours. I don't know how long it will take to replace it. I don't think it was worth the cost.

👤So far, so great, I haven't really dug into everything. I bought it because the other one is old and dated. I need something with windows 10. I can complete my state board certification.

👤The computer is not usable because it has so much bloatware. The memory and theCPU are used up first. We have tried a lot of different things. It is not usable.

👤I opened the package and tried to use the laptop. I had to return the laptop after it gave me an error during the set up process and despite multiple attempts to fix the problem, including hard reset and window reinstallation, I couldn't. The whole process was useless and they just suggested me to return it and ask for a refund, which sounds rather unprofessional to me. Don't buy it.

👤My granddaughter received a laptop as a Christmas gift. She likes using it. The S-mode made it impossible to add zoom. She has been able to use it recently but it is not as good as on an iPad and it is glitchy. This is a good computer for a lower school student and needs to be fixed.

👤It doesn't work. I send this thing to my sister in Colombia, but she can't use the computer. It always asks for a Microsoft password and makes the same process over and over again. Take us to the begging of the whole process. The password doesn't work if you enter it again and again. Don't buy it! I think it is a fake.

👤Se traba bastante, se seguido problemas con internet, se seguido falla.

👤La recomendacion al 100% was given by the company. Pues nueva, sorpresa. No me sirvio. The tuve is regresar. It was ver con publicidad. Me hizo perder.

4. Lenovo Chromebook MediaTek Processor 81JW0000US

👤This is my first computer and I love it. The simplicity of this thing is amazing, I have an expensive Windows 10 PC that drives me crazy, and I find Windows has become a very intrusive and confusing computer, that is why I find it so hard to use. Trying to figure out how to remove all that stuff is a real pain, and Windows makes it hard to find. The ease of this is similar to using a phone. The screen resolution looks fine to me. I don't want to comment on the battery life because I only use it as a stay in one place computer, and I haven't unplugged it yet. If you never used them, you'll have no problem once you get used to them. I already use them on my phone, so it was not a problem for me. It's a good thing that you can't download outside programs because I only use it to surf the web, shop, emails and files. You won't pick up any viruses because you can't download programs. You can always download a photo app from the Play store. I've found the storage and speed to be fine, it doesn't seem to slow down with many tabs open. You can download a lot of apps from the play store. I don't use it to stream movies or play games so I can't comment on that, but I will use it to stream stuff from YouTube. If you want a laptop that does the basics like I do, then you can't go wrong with this. It's better than a low cost Windows PC. I gave away my low end Windows PC because I hated it so much that I didn't want to use it anymore. It was slow and intrusive. It's easy to have a giant phone with a keyboard. I took away one star because I think it could use one more port, and if you use a computer like I do, you will too. It's a good thing. The model S330 comes in different specifications. My review is based on the model with a higher resolution screen and more memory. The S330 has less memory and less resolution.

👤You will be paid for the time you'll need to spend doing their job for them, if you receive a written promise from Lenovo quality control. I've had this laptop for a few days, and already I've spent too much time restarting it. On the day it arrived, it turned off. Repeatedly. I ran powerwash. Same issue. The value proposition for this Chromebook is that you can simply open the box and get started. Value has not been delivered. If I wanted this much trouble, I'd run my old Dell's with Vista. There is an update on 4/23. Two more times, powerwash. I spoke with Amazon. I spoke with a person from the company. Recovered all of the chrome OS. It still freezes and crashes. I ordered a second one and am returning it. Maybe this one is a lemon. I'll update here if the second machine works as expected. I'll return it and post a second review if it doesn't work out. So far, the time has been wasted 12 times.

👤The experience with a laptop was the worst. The price is attractive, but it is not worth the shipping cost. The laptop can't run windows. A simple task of opening an excel sheet caused the laptop to freeze. I put the internet browser back in the box after 3 hours of trying to load it. The seller knows the product is a scam, which is why I am still waiting, and probably won't get a refund. It should have been a chromebook or an e-reader.

👤The keyboard is as good as my expensive laptops. The finish and feel are related. 99% of what normal people do on laptops is fine. I have 5 tabs open in my browser. I have also played some games. No problem. I love this laptop. Solid battery life. There is a big screen. There were no complaints.

👤The laptop is worthless. It can't run a program. I am not sure if it can. It is freezing nonstop. You threw away money because you can't use it. We didn't want to spend a ton of money on it, but it can't even open it's own settings without freezing, which is why we didn't need it for much. Don't waste your money.

👤The purchase was terrible. It was advertised as a one year subscription to Office. There is no key for the office. Vendor wont help, Amazon wont fulfill missing key, and lenove says the product only comes with 1 month trial. Two weeks of help from any party. I already ordered Office from Amazon and they offered a discount on it. They expect me to do it again.

👤It runs a program called Windows 10 S for computers that don't have enough memory or computing power to run real Windows 10. If you try to turn on real Windows 10, you will get a warning that you should not do so. You can't go back to Windows 10 S if you convert to real Windows 10. If you want to install Chrome or Firefox, you have to blow away Windows 10 S. It is slow when running Windows 10 S. Everything takes a long time to load. The computer is in my possession. It does what I need. I wanted it to be able to play DVD's on an external drive, and I wanted it to display the Amazon Music Player app properly. It does both of those things. I had an illusion that I could use this computer to program in computer languages using a visual GUI. This computer is only sold on Amazon. Amazon won't sell this computer directly. The price may be cheaper elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend this computer for general use. A person said that a student used the computer as their main computer. It's hard to believe that a student can use it. The student should not worry about figuring out ways to get the computer to do what it is supposed to do. The computer is being advertised as running Windows 10. It only runs a crippled version of Windows 10. One can get a Chromebooks for the same price and it will do everything this computer does and do it much better and faster, without any of the annoyances this computer brings with it. I would feel cheated if the computer was cheap.

6. ASUS Chromebook C223NA DH02 Dual Core Processor

ASUS Chromebook C223NA DH02 Dual Core Processor

It is easy to use and the Lenovo Chromebook S330 has a long battery life. You don't need a setup, just a Google account so your stuff stays with you in the cloud. Ready for productivity and performance while on the go, with fast performance, robust security, and instant-on convenience. The 2.2 pound body has a metallic finish. The display is 1366x768. 👤I'm a big fan of the Chromebooks. I have a main computer. I bought this and another computer for my siblings as Christmas gifts and now they think I have favorites. Why? The other Chromebook feels and functions better than the other one, even though it's the same price. The moment you pick it up, you realize it's too cheap. I was hoping to give them a device that was different colors. Nope. There are better Chromebooks available at this price point. Unless you see it at a heavy discount, avoid this one. If the price drops to $120, I would only recommend this particular one. It has been a year since my sibling used this daily for high school. I bought him a better computer and this red one has been demoted to a beater computer I take with me when I don't feel like taking my expensive laptop somewhere. I can't deny that it gets the job done. I still think there are better options, but a year of heavy use has shown that this little red computer works well in a pinch. The computer is still chugging along and it is now 2021. Things I have noted since I switched to this as my main after my last chromebook. This computer is very hot when pushed. It is impossible to use as a power user while charging. If you are going to push this to have over 10 tabs and music playing like me, a fan will be critical, since it has no vents beyond the speakers, but at least the chassis stays cool, which should in theory help the inside cool down too. The keyboard is comparable to the MacBook air 2020. The screen makes me cry if I don't have a good viewing angle. The chromebook from 2016 is a new release this year, and the two UBC c ports have really future-proofed it. It's crazy! The processor is too slow for the average user. I did a bunch of changes in the settings and chrome flags to speed it along, but it was never needed on my other i5 chromebook. This is a nice travel laptop if you can find it under 150. You should not buy this for 200 or more.

👤This thing lasted only a month and did exactly what the others in the reviews said, so stop turning on. Not like my previous one. This one was not good.

👤I have had a chromebook for over two months and it works great. It doesn't crash, it turns on whenever I need to use it, and it has a great battery life. I don't understand why it was purchased as new because the laptop came with a dent. The box was well wrapped. The camera never works.

👤I bought this chromebook for use in college and recreational use. I had it for almost a week. I used it for about 6 hours straight. It only drained 25% of the battery on low light, so it's not entirely durable, but it's still a good device. I haven't dropped it yet, but it might not hold up if I did. You can't use Microsoft products without paying for office because the online version of the google docs app is bulky and doesn't offer the same "print" appearance as the offline version.

7. HP Chromebook 11 Inch Laptop 11a Na0010nr

HP Chromebook 11 Inch Laptop 11a Na0010nr

Take the HP Chromebook with you wherever you go. It has a long battery life, so you can stay connected without having to search for an outlet. It's made for what you do, switch between gaming and connecting with friends. The powerful mobile processor, full-size keyboard, and 11.6-inch touchscreen are all capable of handling it all. The seamless simplicity that comes with the apps on the laptop is what The GOOGLE EXPERIENCE is all about. It is fast, simple, and secure. Graphics should never be sacrificed for battery life. The Integrated Graphics card from MediaTek has Octa-core CPUs and graphics processors and a multimedia engine so it is built to perform without draining your battery. With an anti-glare, high-definition, 11.6-inch touch display, you can stream movies and shows beautifully, with added control over 178 degrees of wide-viewing angles. You can connect with work colleagues or friends and family from home with an HP True Vision camera, integrated dual array digital microphones, and custom-tuned dual speakers. The Headphone/ Microphone combo and the Type-A and Type-C ports have reliable connections with the latest wireless technologies.

👤This is a lengthy review. You get what you pay for and some of it. The package is very usable. A nice, compact machine for web-based activity is what you will get. This is my first computer. I have used laptops and Macs from other companies. I decided to use a Chromebooks because I mostly use email, browse pages, and watch videos. Anything I need to do in the document world can be covered by the internet. The long battery life is a plus. I'm tired of lugging around big, heavy laptops in my bags. The Chromebook weighs 2-1/4.lbs and is excellent. I wouldn't take it anywhere because it's about the size of a magazine. The plastic body is easy to clean. It is generally solid, but not as nice as metal. The bottom panel is loose, but that is not a big deal. The battery life is advertised. If you get 10 hours or more, it is more than double what I have used. The screen opens to 135 degrees. I can work with it even though it did not open to a full 180. The screen brightness is listed at 220 nits, but it is as bright as my 8 year old Macbook and my laptop assigned by work. It works well for indoor use. You will have to find shade if you work outside. The display is usable. It is anIPS display, which provides better viewing angles and color rendition. The 11.6" screen is large enough for watching videos and reading the news. I can type in a review and read it in my email. This is a touch screen, which seems to work well in my limited experience. It's nice to use the touchscreen when laying down with the Chromebook on my chest. The games I have downloaded work great on the touchscreen. If you want to use the apps on the phone, you should spend more on the touch screen. The keyboard is comfortable. I am typing quickly and efficiently. Most of the keys are where you would expect them to be. The keys don't interfere. The keys have a positive response. The trackpad is equally responsive and comes with a full range of gestures for scrolling, zooming, and viewing apps. You can only click on the botton half of the touchpad, but I usually tap to click. The on-board speakers are nice. They are loud and clear. I can listen to music for hours using just these speakers, even though an audiophile might find them tinny. When I crank the volume up to max, there is no distortion. There is a jack for headphones. If you install a lot of apps, 32 gig of memory may be challenged. The system takes up about 13 gigabytes of its own. I have put a 128 gigabyte Micro SD card in my phone, so that it can be used as storage for apps that support it. I can download music from Youtube to my card. The Text editor and Camera app can be used to view the documents. I don't do anything that has taxed the system yet. I only have a few tabs open and I play a few games. This is the same processor that is used on the Duet Chromebook, so it is no slouch. The 720p webcams are used for web conferencing. It's a little hard to see indoors. If you are sitting in front of the computer, the internal microphone will work best. The mic input can be adjusted if the volume options are expanded. You can charge the Chromebook with a phone charging cable. It is slow and must be done while the Chromebook is not being used. I was able to get 15% per hour. If you are traveling and don't need a clunky power supply, it might be nice. I am happy with my purchase. This is a nice value package.

8. Samsung Chromebook Plus Camera Chrome

Samsung Chromebook Plus Camera Chrome

The Chromebook Plus is just under 3 pounds. It can be folded into a Tablets mode for viewing and browsing. The built-in pen is incredibly precise and never needs charging. It's always ready to do anything. The dual camera on your laptop allows you to take clear shots and even zoom in for a closer look. You can explore and browse on a bigger screen with the tools you use every day on the secure Chrome OS. A long- lasting battery and an Intel Celeron processor are what power and performance tackle. Add up to 400GB with a microSD card, and you have 32GB of built-in memory. A long- lasting battery and an Intel Celeron processor are what power and performance tackle. 👤This is a good hybrid for basic tasks. You might be disappointed if you try to do more with it. I'm ok with the $350 Black Friday price, but would be disappointed if I spent $500 on this, so giving it 3 stars instead of 4. It would be too much for this class of device to pay $600 for the m3 processor. It works well for browsing, but it can be a bit glitchy. In tablet mode, touch responsiveness can be spotty. This might be the fault of ChromeOS, but it's an advertised feature and should work. Using a 2k external monitor is choppy. I think this is a combination of low ram and integrated graphics. I wouldn't do it often. It's annoying to put the two ports on the same side. The screen is heavier than other laptops and makes it hard to balance on your lap. Unless you plan to take photos in tablet mode, the camera on the body is pointless. The keyboard is working well, but the touchpad is small. This is what the territory is on this size device. It does a lot of things, but not much more. You might like it if you're ok with it. This gives you a little of both, but you could get a much better device for less. Pros and Cons: - Size - build quality - Speed/responsiveness - Weight - top- heavy screen

👤I've been looking for a cheap laptop for a while. I own a large gaming PC at home. I wanted something portable and separate for non- gaming needs. I've been trying to read more and sometimes this leads to me using the Kindle app on my phone. I was drawn to the Chromebook Plus because of the attempts to make it more like a tablet and utilizeANDROIDAPPS. The product works as described. The screen is good, but the settings make things like the app shelf, window borders, and pointer size too large in comparison to the parts of the screen in use. I have no complaints about this being variable once you poke around the settings. The keyboard is very responsive. The touch screen is pretty good, but it's not as good as the iPad. Sometimes I miss when I try to click on things with my finger. It's still entirely usable because that happens so rarely. I've only used the pen so far, but it's nice, and I'm not a big fan of the app. The battery life is on par with what is advertised, but I only used it lightly from 7:30- 2:30 yesterday. The folding of the tent and tablets is a little awkward, but it works. It makes me prefer it as a laptop more than a tablet. Considering the hardware, the performance is acceptable. I notice a bit of delay in navigation online when using multiple apps on my other machine, which has a much more powerful processor and more RAM. It's not bad, but the comparison is unfair. The quality of the touchpad is my main complaint. It works well, but it's choppy and doesn't respond to light and subtle movements when trying to be precise. This might be unfair because I only use MacBooks and those are incredibly smooth, but it's still worth pointing out. I'm very happy with my purchase. I've already gotten used to the quirks that I've described, so the problems I've described are not really problems. It does it well and works for everything you want it to.

9. Lenovo Chromebook Convertible 11 6 Inch 81HY0000US

👤This is a great price for a Chromebooks. I've done a lot of research and it checks a lot of boxes. 1. Solid build. The plastic is sturdy. It is lightweight. There is a C port, a card slot, and a HDMI port. The Touchscreen has anIPS display. 64 gig of storage and 4 gig of RAM. At this price point, it is rare. The keyboard and track pad feel good. 6. Most low-end Chromebooks run the Intelcelerons, but the ARM processor that is designed for the play store runs much better than that. You get a lot for $300. You can't find those options in that price range. I wish it had a FHD display. The 1366x768 is still sharp on an 11.6 in screen but it would be better if it was high definition. I would recommend this device to anyone.

👤It took over 60 seconds for it to be opened for the first time. 1. Turn on 2. You need to sign in with your account on the internet. 3. You can choose the network you want to use. Everything is set up, all of your bookmarks, mail, and pictures are there. I used to spend a lot of time setting up, updating, and denying "trial offers" on Windows PCs. There is nothing on this. It is ready for use within a minute. Take notes with Windows.

👤I am not an IT professional but I use my laptops, tablets, and desktop computers daily in my work and personal life. The chromebook has exceeded my expectations. I have never used a chromebook before. I have been looking at the device for a week or so. I own an alienware gaming laptop, but I only use it for gaming now. I think this chromebook is fast. The device responds quickly to gestures and commands. I can't do this on my windows laptop because I'm playing gaming. One game that I like to play requires windows, mac, or linux. This does not support linux applications at the moment because it has an ARM processor. The device is a white chromebook. Even though it is made from plastic, the design is pleasing to the eye and looks sturdy. I don't like using it in tablet mode. The screen is too large in tablet mode. The screen quickly transitions from laptop, tent, or tablet mode to whatever position it is in. I don't use my tablets much except when I need internet away from home. The design is great. The keyboard is on par with most laptop keyboards. I feel my typing has slowed a bit because of the shallow keys, but not by much. I rarely have to touch the screen more than once for my intended gesture because of the responsiveness of the IPS touchscreen. The screen is bright in the home, but not as bright outdoors. The ease of use is due to the store on the internet. I haven't tried any intense applications. I use a lot of apps. All of them are responsive. The bank apps are in a small window because they load like they are in phone mode. The apps work as they were designed. It is pleasant to watch on the screen. I am impressed with the device and the OS. I suggest you give it a try if your person is on the fence about the operating system. The battery life is good. My gaming laptop has a cord tethering it. I know a gaming laptop is more power intensive. I haven't used the chromebook yet. The battery has allowed me to use my phone and internet for hours at a time. I charge it at night and never put it back on. This is the maximum screen brightness. I was surprised by the speakers. The speakers were loud. I expected them to be cheap, but not great, and that's not the case with this chromebook. I use a headset that is compatible with the internet. The headset is simple. I set up my brother's wireless laser printer in less than 30 seconds. lenovo delivered a solid product because of the work done by Google. I would have spent $300 if I had purchased this on sale for $200. I highly recommend this if you are a web surfer, music listener, or watcher. If you need intense software, go with windows. I think you'll use this as your primary device if you don't.

👤I bought this item for my mom so she could do her work out even though she has the virus. I looked at the different computers and found that the 8 core ram and 4g of ddr4 is perfect for this laptop and it's rare in a small netbook. The bad: It took about 3-4 seconds for it to boot up and then it took about 3 seconds for it to go to the home screen. All the applications were loading fast when the webpages loaded. The pictures look great in 720p. The OS is easy to use. The screen is bright and the battery lasts forever, it's light and has 3.0 connections. The white shell looks great. The only lag I noticed was when making a video full screen in Youtube, it took about 1 1/2 seconds. There is a The websites load.

👤I didn't like the fact that I would have to sign in to access the internet each time I used the laptop. I want to type a paper in the park. My computer is mine! It said "Chrome Os missing or damaged" at the second try. I returned the computer. It was at Amazon for 4 days and I haven't gotten a refund since I returned it.

👤My daughter is doing remote learning and I bought this for her. My daughter is happy with the chromebook. She can watch shows and do homework. The battery lasts a few days. I was scared for the price but it is worth it.

👤This is a good laptop. I use it to research topics for my classes and to look up things on the internet. Let's be clear, it's not a Macbook. It works great if you stream videos on Youtube. Do you need to type up a research paper at the last minute? It works great. This will last me through community college. I know I need to use Office in college, so I'm going to try and update this review when I do. This works well even if you aren't a student. I wouldn't use this for heavy gaming. I got this in December and it's so far so good. I had a lemon that I believe was an HP Chromebook. I opened my wallet to get a warranty just in case, despite that. I believe I would buy again based on it's performance so far.

👤Hello! I bought a computer for school but I can't use it. I tried to look up information before I bought the computer, but the internet is not good and the browser is not available. It connected to my school but then disconnected and hasn't let me connect back in since. I use the same user and password for both my phone and computer, and there are no problems. Even if your internet is good, it is extremely slow. If you want to save money, I would recommend spending a couple more hundred dollars and getting a laptop that is worth it, instead of buying a new laptop later. This is my first experience with a chrome book. I will never buy one again. Should have stuck with Mac. Don't say that I didn't warn you.

👤I bought the 6 gigabyte ram model from the company. This would be five stars if the screen was better. The build quality was good and the little details were done well. The screen makes this useless. The screen is not straight. The screen will change its brightness level to such a degree that it will cause eye strain. This happened when I tried to work on it and it moved on my lap. The text appears fuzzy and shadowed when viewed from a different angle. This would be a fantastic unit without the screen quality being an issue.

👤This is my first computer. I did a lot of research before buying. Getting signed on was an issue when it arrived. I called support after trying myself for a few days. I'm pretty sure the gentleman I spoke with has never seen a computer. He argued with me at times and had to stop and look at every possible issue. He told me to find the 2 buttons on the scroll and click them. There aren't two buttons. It is a smooth pad. After speaking with him for an hour, I was not happy. I had to mail it in. They sent me a wrong name and address for my shipping label. I had to contact them again. The supervisor said she would send a corrected label. This never came. My son came from 2000 miles away and fixed it in 15 minutes. SAMSUNG: Get some people in your tech support that can help you. This is a small machine. I don't see a problem with the poor quality of the screen that I have read about. It is bright and clear. The speed is way faster than my old laptop.

👤The product worked for 15 minutes. We charged it. It will turn on for a short time. Immediately, turns off! I'm so upset. This was a gift for my son so that he could do his schoolwork. What a waste of money. There is no way I can return it.

👤I was very happy with the product I received. I bought it to replace my broken laptop. I am a college student, so I wanted a product that could load files and be light weight, which would make it easier to carry around campus. It came in a day early and was much tinier than I had expected. It's lightweight and seems to be running well. I will keep you updated if something happens. There is an update. I gave this chromebook a 5 star rating. I have found some quirks in the chromebook that I find to be rather annoying as I am a creature of habit. There is no deletion button. I don't think this would be a problem at first, but it is annoying. Whenever I want to write an email, I can't press "tab" anymore. It seems like I can't do it in the box for this review, because I can't put text in it. You cannot right click without pressing the "alt" tab. There is no way to add apps to the background of this device. The only way to get apps is with the shortcuts. I understand this isn't a laptop and that features are guaranteed to be different, but all four of these issues combined have caused enough irritation for me to write this review. This laptop is great for school. The web camera is great, I don't have any connection issues, but these weird perks are very annoying. I would have considered getting something else if I had known that the chromebooks were designed that way.
