👤I got a Canon printer that I really liked but didn't like, so I got a Canon TR4527. The print quality of the new printer is good, but the construction of the printer feels a bit too heavy, and the parts don't fit together well. Unless you are looking straight at the screen and there is enough light, it is very difficult to ready it. The integrated control panel doesn't give you much control over the printer, you need to use a computer interface to adjust things like when the printer shuts down/wakes up. It's fine as a basic printer.

👤I like everything except for the fact that there is not a tray for the paper to be printed on. It lands on the floor. I don't mind having to pick up the copies off the floor if I don't have a part or piece to the machine.

👤The printer was used. Someone used up most of the black ink and replaced it with an off brand.

👤After figuring out all the network issues, this printer worked fine for a month. The paper jams when I print. I've tried everything to fix it. It's a big piece of junk. The window to return the item is over. The HP printer was just as problematic. I need to have a printer that works. It's a waste of time that it's so annoying.

👤I think I wasted my money on this printer. I bought it a month ago. When I need it, it won't print. It says it can't find the address. My printer is near my computer. I have to keep it up to date. I was looking for a printer that would work for my business.

👤There is a warning The instructions in this printer were sent from AMAZON and contained a false website that asked for remote access to my computer. Don't use To get your printer set up. Don't use the website to install drivers. You can search for the model driver package on is a scam. Canon Corporate confirmed that it does not belong to them. The instructions for setting up wireless and remote printing were provided when we purchased the printer from Amazon. I went to this website and downloaded the driver, but there was an error message when I clicked on it. The website had a chat box for US and Canada customers, so I sent the "error code" in the chat. The expert team could contact me after the chat bot requested a phone number. The number was provided and the person called from California. The person on the other side of the line told me that my address had some infections. The download path for the driver was being blocked by infections. He asked for my address and said he would need to access my computer remotely to remove the infections. I searched for the drivers I needed while this was happening. Look! I need the driver package on the US canon website. The foreign customer support tech tried to convince me to let him access my computer while I downloaded and installed the whole package. It was fun stringing him along. I called Canon Corporate after I hung up on the remote access guy. They told me that the website is not theirs and should not be used. Once the right website was established, setup was relatively easy. I didn't have to align the print heads or anything, it printed a picture great as its first wireless print. The Selphy phone app is easy to use and print from.

👤The key takeway has been updated. If you read this review, you will find the following brother printer hack. The printer does not recognize brand new toner cartridges, and I mention that bug in the full review. I have figured out a hack to fix the bug and the other one. This could save you a lot of money over the lifetime of the printer. It saved me hundreds. One more useful tip will be published on October 19, 2020. If you end up buying this machine, make sure to save or take the original Brother printer toner in your machine for future reference. At the end of this review, I will describe an experience I had with their tech support. You can see more information below. The printer will tell you that it is out of toner once it hits its internal counter, but it won't check the cartridges to see if it is out. Don't believe what your printer is telling you when it's out of ink. The last few pages were printed. Is they faded? Is it possible that a printer is low on ink? Are they still sharp and crisp, with your desired level of clarity? If the pages are sharp and crisp, you don't need to replace the printer. You need to cancel any ongoing print jobs until you get to the main screen. The main screen should say "cover is open" if you push the button on the top right front part of the unit. The game shark was the winner. To the left of the screen we have three buttons: "back", " home" and "cancel". The button combo is: push down and cancel together in unison, then press the "back" button once, with about the same cadence as you pressed the previous two together. This will trick the machine into thinking that you have installed a new printer, you will have to manually decide when to stop printing. When the pages get thin, or start omitting words, you can manually replace the toner, or reset the counter. This trick works with all of the 3rd party manufacturers that I have tried, and so far has not led to instability. I have accidentally printed 20 or 30 pages which didn't have enough ink, but this costs me less money than if I replace the printer's ink when it says it's out. The printer only says it is out when it reaches a certain number of pages. I hope this helps you. Good luck if you are stuck with this printer. My printing strategy has been to print everything I think I need to for the rest of my life. I will be done in a week or so. I can stop this side business I have been running for the last month and get back to my life. Good luck! The bullet points are in no particular order and are from the original review. It says "Wait for a while" in the middle of your print job and then waits for ten minutes. This has never been a problem for me. It is cooling down to prevent overheating. The #2 printer comes with multiple components that need to be replaced every few tens of thousands of pages of printing, which is why it happens consistently. I had a printer in my home office for about a month and had to replace it. This cost me about 150 dollars, and in the last 10,000 pages of the previous drum, the left side of every single page was black. It looked like every page had been burned. This has been very annoying. I don't think it's worth it to buy more paper and ink to replace these pages. We live in 2020. We can put a man on the moon. You're telling me that we can't make an office printer that doesn't need its insides replaced every few weeks. I don't believe it. I understand that brother printers consume a lot of the same resources as paintballs. They don't have incentive to engineer systems that don't chew through toner because it's their main revenue stream. It's embarrassing that the core printer components have an expected lifetime of weeks not years or even months under heavy load. They're getting money for the replacements. Only second rate businessmen and below average engineers run businesses like this. They don't want to design a product that is worth the money, and that bears the load it should have been designed for. They push their engineering bugs onto you, their customers, and make you shell out hundreds more dollars for replacements, in addition to whatever else it was that you were already doing. The printer will take up a lot of your time. You will need to send more money to replace the parts of the machine they designed in the first place. The market for brother printers is interesting. Let's break it down. If you want to buy the brother brand, here is what they are selling on Amazon: Brother HL-L8360CDW (TN 433) High Yield Toner Cartridge Set. The black and color prints can be used to print up to 4,000 pages. The Brother HL-L8360CDW is compatible with Brother Printer(s) and the price is $438.00. MyCartridge compatible replacement for Brother TN433 TN-433 is for MFC-L8900Cdw Hl-L8360Cdw. The market is telling you something. It's not worth that much. It's ink! Your competitors are demonstrating that high-quality, highly-rated working toner is not worth that much. It seems like it's easy for them to do. "warning: only use brother official toners" can be seen on several places on the internet. Third party toners are not supported and could damage your printer or void your warranty. Why would we buy your printer and then buy your toner every few thousand pages? I could buy the highly-rated $50 variety, play it on the wild side for an evening, and then if the printer catches on fire, I could just buy a whole new unit. I would have saved money if I had bought the brother variety. I would have wasted my time, energy, and even the whole hunk of burning plastic, who knows what is in the atmosphere. Does any of that make sense? The prints have been flawless, I have been buying the third party toner. The problem with the drum is not the problem. I replaced the drum with a new piece of plastic and the streaks went away. There is a larger problem, and I encounter some of you are likely programmers or engineers. Let's see if we can diagnose the bug. The user says "ok!" I have a new pack. The user says that it's odd that the printer shows the same error as the old one. These have been working well until now when a user opens a new box of toner and pulls out a new set. Let's try these! The new register is working! The user says wow. I have to waste these new toners. I guess brother was correct that the 3rd party toners are unreliable. The user gets an idea to open the printer again, remove the old toners from the machine, and install the new ones. The printer still has the updated supply levels from the second set, even after closing the machine. The printer was able to print 4,000 pages using the toner it had, which was previously ruled out as a third party dud. okay Wait a second. What is wrong with this picture? Is this a software problem? Is this a problem with the third party systems? This behavior has been happening to me consistently. I needed a surrogate to trick the brother printer into recognizing my toners, so that I could swap them out later, so that I wouldn't waste the new ones. Why am I doing this? Brother has a mechanism built into their machine that will brick non-brother toner that have been removed from their machine before. The brother printer will no longer recognize the full amount of ink in the printer's toner cartridge after you plug it in. When you try to use the surrogates as replacements once out of ink, they won't work and the cycle continues! There are many small design flaws with this machine. It has been a challenge to discover and fix them. I am writing this to let you know that if you buy a different brand, you will be spared from buying brother. The software interface to the direct printusb stick is slow, and always returns you to the top of the tree after clicking forward and back. You better not hit the wrong key on the touch screen. If you fill up the whole tray with paper, the printer will take longer to print the PDF pages with any transparency. There is a plastic flap that can be used to mitigate some of this, but it barely works, so that 1/3 of the tray can be printed without major spillage. I put a piece of cardboard in the plastic flap. The pages won't spill, but the printer will jam after too many pages have been printed. That is all I can think of right now. Wow. I took on a part time printer technician job after buying this thing. Make sure to save or take a picture of your original brother's original printer. If you have a problem with your machine, Brother tech support will lock you out. You are not using genuine brother cartridges. It doesn't matter what your technical problem is, or whether or not it is solvable without the genuine cartridges. They deny access to users who can't read barcodes. It doesn't matter if your problem is related to the machine or the toner Cartridges. If you can't read the barcode on the top of the genuine brother printer, the brother tech support assistant will put up a wall and refuse to do anything else. I don't have any of those. Would you please let me know the steps so I can try them? I would be so grateful if there is any chance at all that they will work. I would be able to get back to doing what I was doing before the machine broke. Brother support in a robotic voice: "I am sorry for you." The rest of my technical steps do not apply to you until you use genuine brother cartridges. I could have just read the barcode if I had one of the original cartridges or a photograph. The tech support staff refused to indicate what the next steps might be, but I am almost positive that they could have diagnosed the issue. After waiting on the phone for over an hour, this happened. So rude! The printer made a loud buzzing sound. I bought a new brother drum after trying two new sets of cartridges. Nothing worked! My experience shows that the new drum and two sets of toner are not the problem. There is something wrong with the machine. Brother won't help me figure out what it is. I think they need a new name. My real brother wouldn't do that. Be careful with the buyer.

👤I have to tell a story about love. I bought a printer. I love it. It's the first printer I've owned. I always assumed that I don't need a printer. The other day, I had to use a computer at theUPS store to print a return label, but it was only $3. When I needed a printer, I wouldn't have time to buy one. I need to get one now so that I can have it when I need it. The company that hosted my old printer has no interest in supporting old models. You know the scene from the office where they take the printer out into the field and beat the snot out of it with baseball bats? I've felt that way about my printer for a long time. I didn't know better so I put up with it. The last time I needed it, I couldn't find the drivers on the HP website. I looked up printers that were supported by Apple out of the box and decided to give this one a try. I unboxed it, followed the on-screen setup to join it to my internet, and then printed it. From my phone. And from my Macbook. I didn't have to plug in any cables. It was just. Frikkin'. It worked. Passwords other than joining the internet are not allowed. It's easy. I told my wife that I just setup the printer and printed from my phone, and that I wasn't going to teach her how to do it, because it's so easy to just do. There is a She did it. Highly recommended.

👤I should have paid more attention to what I was doing. This thing has no feeding mechanism. I don't know if it can be changed, but you are required to print on both sides of the paper. It won't work for my office, and it's going to be difficult to send it back. It's really bad.

👤I like it when it's working. I get discouraged when it loses the wireless connection because there are many options and terms that make me confused. Canon will walk me through the process again. At times, it is frustrating. There is a learning curve with new equipment. Canon should make things simpler. I need their excellent service representatives to walk me through the process because the instructions don't register with my brain. Thank goodness for Canon's service representatives. I'm in the '70s.

👤The printer works. It was easy to set up. But looking? No luck. I imported a bad BMP file type via the program. Every all-in-one with a scanning utility has a lot of options. Even if it won't do a tax form, it will still do PDF and JPEG. The documentation is not helpful. There might be more software on the CD, but who has a CD drive anymore? There is no hint that I'm doing things right. I've tried to contact tech support, but no luck. I have to get it working after the weekend. The old HP all-in-one had no driver support, so I replaced it with this one. I'm not a pro with this stuff, but I'm an astute user that can usually navigate through most of the issues. Volvo had one car model every 10 years. A lot of design and development was put into the product. There is a lot of junk just to be new. For a quarter century, the technology, apart from things like wireless printing, is unchanged.

👤This is a preliminary review of the Canon Color image. One of the most creative boxing jobs I have ever seen was packed with the printer. The outer box lifts up from the inner box, so you don't have to turn the box upside down. The inner box falls away from the printer when you lift the outbox. You have to remove a lot of protective tape and foam inserts. Plug in the power cord and connect via the internet, either via the internet or via the power cord. I was able to print after I did the CAT5 and found the new printer. The black and white paper was clean and crisp. It is hard to find a manual for the printer from Canon. The first unit that comes up on the Canon site when you search for a manual is the MF733Cdw. The help screen on the printer will guide you through the process. If you want to use it as a scanner, you need to download a new driver and application from the Canon site. Again, be careful to pick the wrong driver, because it is a different driver. You can use the new driver and application on your computer or the printer if you download it. The dust cover is the legal paper size and comes with the printer. If you can find the correct manual, you will not find an explanation of this piece with the printer. The answer was found on a Canon users' blog. It can be used when you extend the paper cassette tray to load legal size paper. You can put the dust cover in the tray and then close it. The unit is 16.9" x 16.8" x 16.8" and weighs 48.4 lbs. It comes with a starter. The black and colors cost between $70 and $95. There are a number of non original equipment toners on the market. I will do an update after a while.

👤A review of a Canon printer. I have worked with computers for over 40 years. The printer I chose was carefully considered. This printer is very good. The software is basic but functional. This printer is ideal for a low load office because of its ability to use certificates and encryption for remote printing and faxing, and it's far moreFunctionality than my retired status will ever use. The user manual should be downloaded. The PDF manual is 700 pages long and addresses extended functions for IT professionals. I don't need any of the remote capabilities, but it appears to be very capable. I found the correct manual from the install cd. The quick start guide is enough for most home and small office users. Unpacked. I recommend leaving the printer on the floor when unpacking. If you put it on a table to unpack, you will have to move the printer back to the floor. The unpacking diagram shows that the item is on the floor. The packaging is a work of nice engineering, with limited waste but high shipping protection, and first out of included components. Ensure you open the doors of the printer to get all of it, because there are lots of bright orange shipping tape to remove. The pull ends of the tape are folded over. Knowing this will help you decide on the best way to pull the tape. Observation of tape ends helps in unpacking. The printer does not come with a full sizedusb cable, either a rounded serial or standard one will work. I had many on hand. It comes with power and phone cable, a plastic piece that is used as a paper dust cover, and a quick start guide. The plastic piece is not addressed in the manual. There are Toners that come pre-installed. I haven't changed my printing equipment yet but it looks good. The number of after market toners available for this printer is a strong feature. I was able to get a full set of aftermarket high yield cartridges from Amazon for less than I had been paying for ink jet cartridges. The cost of ownership was the main reason I bought this printer. Printing has been perfect. The result was printed out in several sizes. I was not happy that the photos were red. I don't think this was a printer flaw as the photos were printed on regular paper and there was no color distortion. I have determined that adjusting for color in my graphics software corrected the color distortion issue, as I thought it was all that was required. I splattered water droplets on the printed page. There was no distortion of the ink. It performed better if you dropped a water drop on plain paper. It was fast enough from the printer wakeup for my needs. I have used both the sheet and platen glass. The duplex capability works well with no bleed-through on the opposite side. The multi sheet feeders work well. No paperclips should be attached to documents. Multi sheet feeders don't like them. I didn't test recoverability of that mistake. Air dropped photos from the iPad worked well. Setting up the printer on a wireless network was simple, just use the sync menu item and the router sync to connect. I don't use the method, but I think it works. It requires a software package to work on an device. Just select the print and then the device. If you live in an apartment, you can register your devices with the printer to restrict printing. For me, it was important to leave the printer open so my visitors could easily print if needed. There is a I did not use fax, but the setup allows department tags, which is important for small business. Nice email capability. It can send images via PDF or individual pictures depending on settings. I never tested this capability, but I follow directions in the user manual to use it. There is an optical character recognition. I scanned a standard Times Roman text and reviewed the output in notepad. The result was perfect. notepad formatting was lost because I used it. I have done a lot of scanning over the years and it seems like it's as good as it gets. I didn't test multi fonts on color as my experience says error probably can be caused. The tool is great for reading plain text. The manual is linked on the CD. There are 700 pages in the full manual and there are very sophisticated remote print capabilities that can be used as securely as you choose to set it up to include certificate and NIC registration capability. It was easy to install the software. The software is very functional. On Windows 10. I only tested the print capability on the pad. After using this printer for about a month, I say this is the printer you want, it costs a bit more, but the cost of ownership should be a fraction of ink cost over the life of the printer. This is a no-brainer because of the number of choices for second source manufactures. This is a good choice for the IT professional. If the office print requirement is relatively modest, it could work for up to 10. Print from sleep has been reliable. It has a sophisticated over the net capability. The manual is enough to set it up for an IT PRO. Being retired, I turned it off. This is a good choice. Not a paid review. I can say that this is the best home printer I have owned. I rate this printer at 5 stars. I've become familiar with a lot of features. It has done a great job. I paid for the printer myself. The duplexing feature works well with this printer and I didn't realize how much I needed it. It does well with a lot of paper. I would choose it again. It works. While default photos work, I found tuning colors improves picture quality. If you are using photo paper, you should adjust the color to match the original. It will work for photos once you have made the adjustment. The default colors are good.

👤I had the option to review the printer when I first saw it. I was not sure what the pricing would be for the unit, but the promise of "cheap toner" was intriguing. I bought a cheap laser around 6 years ago, and I currently have 4 printers here, two of which are connected for years now. For the past year, I've been printing out the same thing for my son when he reaches the age of 4. He needs to learn his numbers and letters. On top of what I already print out for my business, I print out a few pages a day. The chip on my printer tells me I have 2% ink left. I will need to buy a new one soon. I decided that I would just replace my old printer with this one, because I wanted to test it out. setup is easy. You can use the app to connect the printer to your network or you can use a cable from your laptop to the printer. This is a plus over my old printer since I typically put my printers on Ethernet. My old printer did the same thing. Sometimes it takes longer to recover from sleep than my old printer and the print speed isn't anything earth shattering, when you figure the "class" of this printer. This is where things take a turn for the worse and that's where the "class" word is important. I waited for this printer to go on sale before I published my review because the value of an item does weigh into the overall review. The printer is fine for printing black and white documents. I wanted to see where the printer would go from a pricing standpoint, since the toner is being marketed as cheap. I was able to find a refill pack for the printer at $28 for 2 refill packs which promised 5000 pages of printing and came out to an earth shattering.6 Cents per page. It's great for someone who prints a lot, but not for the average user. I have a heavier printing load than the average user, and I have only printed 329 pages on my laser in the past 2 years, but I noticed that while I was preparing this review. I have printed around 1000 pages in the same time frame as my old main printer, which is 1300 pages in 2 years. I have a regular laser that will last me more than 2 years, even though my last one was purchased in 2016 according to my order history. The cost of the printer is 3 times that of similar featured printers and it would take me 10 years to use enough ink to level out the cost. There is a green element to this printer. I think that the strongest suite of the printer is the one that doesn't include a drum, it's definitely more eco-friendly than other printers where you just toss out a single piece of paper every 1500 pages, if you didn't take care to recycle them. You could recycle your used cartridges or even purchase recycled ones for cheaper lasers, and spend less on the printer overall. The price of the printer is so high that the end user would never save money, that is the biggest problem with this concept. If you are the type of person who likes to print 5000-10000 pages a year, then you should get a bigger, faster and more featured printer with a larger paper tray. This printer is still capable of printing and has a refill option, which is why they have spun the idea of buying a new one instead of refilling it. Since the drum of most modern lasers lasts for at least 10k pages, there is no reason to replace it with only 1500 pages printed on it. You can refill the cartridge directly through the top of the printer with this kit. You will have to buy one if the drum's estimated life is less than 20k pages. I can't find one in the USA, but in other countries the drum is around $62. If you only purchase the original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) cartridges and you only print a small number of pages, the printer is a good value. You wouldn't be refilling paper frequently. I'm not happy about HP's classing of this printer as an "up to 20000 page per month duty cycle" which is completely over-inflated. HP's Laserjet Pro MP521DN is only rated for 6000 pages per month and it costs 3x as much as this (or more) and takes 888-270-6611 It has an 1100 page capacity option. How much of a duty cycle would it have? The model is overstated to try to justify its price. You shouldn't buy this printer unless you're in the market for printing 25 to 100 pages a day of single-sided sheets. If you print a lot then a faster printer with a bigger paper capacity would be more suited to you. It would take 6 months to 4 years to use a single cartridge, and you would have to buy multiple first party and full price replacements before you would catch the base MSRP. If you refill your recycled cartridges, you will never be able to spend as much as the base cost of the printer alone. It's a terrible value for anyone who isn't in the aforementioned niche. Please mark it helpful if this review helped you save money or rethink what you were doing. It took a long time to put together and I would appreciate your support. Thanks!

Dpi. 120V power source. The Brother brand is the #1 retail brand in laser printer unit sales in the U.S.

Brand: Brother

👤I like Brother devices. I have never owned a Brother product. I bought this one 5 weeks ago and it died 1 week after Amazon wouldn't accept returns. I called Brother's customer service. I was referred to a "local" authorized repair center. I was told to call Brother customer service and demand a refund by the authorized repair center. Brother should take responsibility and give you a new one. Brother's repair service said that Brother should take responsibility for the product. I have to spend $25 to send the printer to a Brother service center and then I have to either drive 50 miles to pick it up or pay for the return shipping charges. There is an update. The parts are out of stock and there is no time for a resolution. I should buy another printer because Brother might not have the parts to fix it.

👤I used to have an office scanner. It is incompatible with the latest Widows 10 update after serving me for 4 years. I don't know if it's Microsoft's fault or whether it's Epson's fault. I decided to buy a new machine. The automatic 1-pass 2-sided scanning is not available in the GT-1500. I have to have this function because I scanned and uploaded as many paperwork as I could. I chose this Brother all-in-one machine because of that. After setting up the machine, I tested this function on my documents in PDF. The initial results were disappointing using the default settings. The quality is not close to that of the GT-1500. I asked for a return. I decided to play more with the settings. To get satisfactory results, one has to change the settings a lot. The best setting for B&W scanning that works for me is to dial down the brightness and contrast all the way to the lowest, and that's all I had to do. Set the level to lowest and turn on "remove bleeding" as well. If you want to save file size, turn on compression in Saving setting. One disappointment is that there are no features that would allow you to quickly preview the document then crop the area to Scan, and enhance the colors of different channels of red, blue, and green. Functions like these are basic, but not on this machine. I am able to get the same qualities with the above settings. I like the fact that I can set up a scanning process and add it to my home screen. Sometimes light or ghosting happens, but the 1-pass 2-sided scanning/copying really speeds things up. It's useful if I need to super fine details, because the Scan resolution could be up to 1200x1200. Printing and copying work is what it is. Didn't try the fax function. Who still uses fax? The machine is ok for the price of $189+tax. I only need that occasionally, and no color enhance mode adds a small amount of hassle since I only need it when I need it. I can't talk about how reliable it will be in the future or how good the customer support is because I only have it for a few days. I canceled the return and kept it. I have a month to change my mind if it goes south.

Brand: Hp

👤You need to sign up for HP+ and Instant Ink to set this up. It requires a credit card number and a monthly subscription. Not cool for a printer.

👤I have set this printer up over 5 times and it always says on the window that the setup is incomplete and the printer will not print unless web services and other items are turned off. The printer is offline. The only way to get the printer online is during installation, you have to pick one of the HP ink programs and then the printer will install and work. The customer is being held hostage by HP. You can either buy into their program or not. I joined HP's ink program after the installation. I decided to take a picture. The picture was bluish in color. The printer kept asking to clean the heads. I printed at least 2 pictures, 10 alignments pages and 3 test pages. I cleaned the printer heads a lot. The colors were off in the last picture I printed. I checked to make sure I put the right color in the right spot. I did. I am printing 7 pictures at a time. Not a lot of ink. My printer tells me to buy more ink. Are you serious? What a scam. I've always bought HP products. All my computers, printers, desktops, and laptops. I will consider buying equipment from other venders after this encounter. The printer was reboxed and sent back to HP. I have to figure out how to cancel the ink program I had to buy in order to find a different brand Printer. I am surprised that other people haven't commented on this yet. They do on the message boards. I wanted to give it zero stars, but I had to pick one.

👤I used the worst printer for connecting to the internet. I have been trying to connect for 5 hours and am frustrated. I'm ready to return it. I got it yesterday. I would assume it is me, but the HP online doctor can't figure it out.

👤The person that came up with this idea should be fired by HP. You need to enroll in the program to set up the printer. I was on the line for 2 hours to get the printer set up. It would only work if you gave a credit card. I was charged for a month of service after I canceled. For two days? Call #2 if you want that resolved. The email said ink was shipped the next day. The printer stopped printing. Call #3 if you want to get a work done. 70% of the calls the gentleman I spoke to were for this model. Wow! Corporate has not responded to support's notification. Way to treat your customers.

👤You don't have to sign up for HP+ to set this printer up. There is a great video that will show you how to set it up and skip the subscription process. I couldn't download the app on my Mac because it requires higher software. I wish I knew that before. It works for my phone. The prints are fast. There have been no complaints so far.

Comprehensive security features protect against rising and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. I think about intelligence. Xerox Print Drivers and the Xerox Print & Scan Experience take the guess out of complex tasks like auto straighten, receipt scanning and auto cropping images.

Brand: Xerox

👤The set up of this device is difficult. The display does not show the option. I downloaded extra drivers. I found a setting within the software to display it after a few hours of research. When I tried to use a computer, it scanned the document and then printed it. Difficult setup is the reason for the 3 starts. The printer is good. Down side is expensive. We use our old printer to print out emails and basic documents after we purchased it for a small specialized job.

👤Doesn't do 2 side scans. To print, be slow.

👤The touch screen does not work. Trying to shoot is a nightmare. It's hard to navigate their website. This is not acceptable for the "Xerox" brand. I had a hard time using the touch screen. I had to re-enter the wireless password after I got a new modem and the touch screen didn't work. I've tried trouble shooting and it's not helping. The "chat" doesn't help. I am very disappointed. I think I'll go back to HP after my first Xerox. I paid more for this printer. I thought I would not have to deal with this. The printing was easy to set up on my computer. It was terrible to go online to my Xerox account. I had to pull out the printer to get to the serial number and then I had to enter a bunch of other information to get to customer support, but it was closed. When your product is not working, what is the point of registration?

👤I am not able to use the technology because it is old. It doesn't matter if the printer is good or bad.

👤So far, so good. The Xerox website has a print driver that you need to download. It was very easy to set up. I am happy with my purchase.

👤The DVD looks good but should have had a flash drive.

👤This printer is the worst printer ever made. The ink is expensive, doesn't last, and you can't find an off brand to replace it. You can't cancel a print. After you unpause it, it keeps printing. When you have the option to check on the print screen, it has decided not to print in grayscale anymore. You have to use the computer screen to do it from the printer. Purchase worse than that. Don't waste your money.

👤The Xerox machine has been with me for 20 years.

You can print from your mobile device using theCanon PRINT app. You can print your photos from your memory card. You can use the Canon Creative Park App for printing.

Brand: Neego

👤This printer is by far the worst at home printers. After every use, it kicks itself offline. disabling/enabling it before every print is the only way to get it back. There are two more You have to lift the main interface flap before you can print. I would return this if it weren't a PITA to do so because the drawers are flimsy and come off easily. I think I will get more satisfaction eating the cost than taking a bat to this.

10. Brother Monochrome Multifunction MFCL2710DW Replenishment

You can print from your computer, laptop, or phone. The Brother brand is the #1 retail brand in laser printer unit sales in the U.S.

Brand: Brother

👤The Brother MFCL2970 and other newer models of Brother MFC models must use a proprietary chip on the printer's toner cartridge. It's impossible to buy third party toner if you have to pop the chip off of a Brother-manufactured one and stick it to the third party one. The price of third party cartridges that don't require the chip is twice as much as the typical price. Before you buy a Brother printer, make sure you research the market for toner. You can compare prices and requirements for proprietary chips on third party consumables. The Brother-manufactured TN760-equivalent is often half the cost of a third party TN660-equivalent, and the older MFCL2700 can use third party TN660-equivalents. The chip attached to the MFCL2700 does not require the TN660 to have a chip.

👤I loved my Brother laser printers. Reliable, fast machines. I kept printing until I decided that the print quality was too light. I would need to replace the cartridge. The quality of the previous print is fine, but the model will not let you print when the toner goes low. I found a way to continue the machine. This took a few tries, but eventually worked: Open the front door of the printer, and you will see the mechanism on the monitor. Good. Next, press stop and clear at the same time. Immediately after, press CLEAR again. A menu called reset will appear. Click the DOWN ARROW to see the TNR-STD.

👤Money scamming machine. I usually like Brother products, but on this model, they force you to replace the toner when it says it is low, so you have tons more printing that can be done from it. Once it gives you a warning, it will refuse to print and will only do so once you replace it. Will not be buying any Brother products in the future.

👤The printer is easy to setup. The majority of the negative reviews here are related to the internet. You're going to have a bad time if you don't do it right the first time. You can't connect to the printer by hitting the button. You must go to the website to download the software. They're easy to understand. You have to follow the instructions on their website in order to do this correctly. If you want to connect via theusb cable, you must have an old one lying around the house or borrow one from a friend. They're very cheap and easy to get.

👤Unless you only use Brother toners, don't get this printer. It tells you about a hundred times a day to buy genuine Brother toners, because it is programmed to not play nice with generic toners. It's like another car payment in a busy office. We're going back to our very forgiving printer, which can use any kind of printer ink. The janitor could sell the store room for gas money if this Brother went to the back up room.

👤I haven't had a printer for a while, but it works well so far. I have been using cheap inkjet printers from HP for years and have been sick and tired of paying ridiculous prices for ink that was prone to dry out if you didn't use them for a long time. I am happy with my first laser printer. I can see how a lot of people might have a problem setting this up if they are not very tech savvy, after my experience with this one. I was able to overcome most of the technical obstacles thanks to my computer skills. Some of the issues people might have with this type of printer are listed below. Getting it to connect to their network is the first issue someone might have. There is enough addresses available to accommodate another device if the DHCP is enabled. Some of the settings on the factory set up of the routers may limit the ability for peripherals to connect to them properly, and that's not the case with most of them. This is true with equipment that has been used. Some people have their routers locked down so tight that they can't connect unless they want it to. "Set AP Isolated" or "Wlan Partition" are two of the settings that are used in most routers, but they all serve the same purpose. It is necessary to prevent network equipment connected to the router from being able to talk to each other. If these settings are enabled on your routers, you will never be able to print to this printer from any device connected to your network unless you are connected directly by a cable from the computer to the printer. It's a decision. At least now your can print, you give up security, right? Most people will make the mistake of trying to install the printer directly from Windows from the "Printers & Scanners" or from the device manager. When you install the default drivers on Windows, you will be shooting yourself in the foot, because you don't know how to use them. You will not be able to find the setting that allows you to ignore the setting that makes the printer stop printing when the toner gets low, because you will not be able to get to the settings and preferences that fully manage this printer. This is how you fix the issue that many reviewers complain about. You can download the latest drivers for your printer from the Brother website. Do not use the CD that comes with the printer. It could have been sitting in a warehouse for 6 months or a year, and the drivers are not up to snuff. When the software installation reaches the point where you have the chance to update the software from the printer, do it. Don't skip that part of the installation process. There is a sticker on the back of your printer that will ask for a password when you choose to remotely set it up, and you can set the "Toner-Low" setting to "continue" instead. When the printer stops printing, you won't have to use those tricks or sequence to get around it. The software that is installed on your all-in-one printer will allow you to send scanned documents to your computer without the need for the scanner. Basic print capability is what you would be stuck with. I highly recommend that people go through their settings for the printer directly at the printer itself, disabling the "Auto Power Off" function altogether. It doesn't use a million volts of electricity when it's not being used. It will be unavailable for printing until you drag it over to the printer and turn it back on. If you disabled the function, it will wake up from sleep and start printing a lot faster, if you have to turn it on every time you use it. If I find any issues that I had to overcome, I will add more info to this review. This is a nice little device that can print, fax, Scan and copy for a good price. I am enjoying the benefits of a laser printer over the junky inkjets that I have been using for a long time. If you are like me and only print a few things a year, then you can't go wrong with a laser printer like this one.

Brand: Hp

👤A lot of technology is used in our office. While we have higher end HP products in our office, my go-to printer is usually Brother, because of its low-end, multi-function or standalone features. They are easy to set up and use, the cost of consumables is reasonable, and they have been reliable workhorses. I thought "Why not?" when the opportunity to test the HP LaserJet Pro Multifunction M428fdw Wireless Laser Printer came up. I was going to replace the Brother with the HP and see how I liked it. I already have an older Canon DR2580C scanner which works well for me, and I expected to use the HP unit after testing, returning to my normal work routine. The baby is not going anywhere. The setup is the first thing. I was able to set it up without using the manual, but I wouldn't give it to the technically challenged. You plug it in, follow a few instructions on the front panel screen, and then you can download the software. The attention to detail is exceptional and it installs everything with very little prompting. I had to go through the fax setup as well. I don't think most people will be using that feature. It would have been nice if the skip button would have let me leave without testing. It was a waste of time to enter fax information. There are a lot of nice touches. The 2.5” color touchscreen is useful and can be tilted to avoid glare. It is sensitive enough to be functional. There is a power button on the front panel of my Dell and Brother printers. The graphical icons are easy to understand. It comes with a standard HP-58A printer and it's easy to remove and replace it. There is an optional 10,000-page HP-58X cartridge that is available, and there is no question about it. The Brother 8,000-page cartridge is less than $100 on Amazon. This is offset by the fact that the drum is included in the HP toner cartridges. If you know about consumables costs, plan accordingly. I don't personally use off-brand supplies for my printer, but I do believe that it currently allows the use of non-HP cartridges. I am a fan of performance. The quality is better in the standard mode for fine shading than it is in the higher quality mode. I printed from a PC, a stick, and a phone, all without a hitch. The duty cycle is 50,000 pages per month, which seems high to me, and the paper trays seem a little flimsy for that kind of use, but I didn't try to break them. I didn't experience jams or paper handling issues, and the duplexer is fascinating to watch. Once I tinkered with the setup software, scanning was easy. It can be used to find a network folder or a folder on my PC. Scans were very fast and could be implemented from the front panel. You can set preferences in the software, but you can also change them in the front panel. I was unable to get the unit to email, a feature it provides, but I think it was an internet service provider setting, and I didn't feel like chasing it down. The ability to copy both sides of a 2-sided document in one pass was useful, and the copies were almost indistinguishable from the original. The printer is a keeper. It does everything you could want, but some is attractive, quiet, and fast. I plan on keeping the optional 550 sheet lower paper tray in my office. It is an excellent choice for a small office or higher-end home office if you know what you are getting into in terms of consumables costs and don't manhandle the paper trays. Highly recommended. There is an update for 2019:-08-05. There was a question as to whether genuine HP toner had to be used. I researched this because I wanted to know if I would stick with HP supplies. "Cartridge Policy" states that the printer can be configured to use only new, genuine HP supplies. Genuine HP supplies that have been used previously must be replaced to continue printing. "Off" or "Authorized HP" is what you can set. "Off" would allow you to use non-HP supplies. It is off by default.
