Brand: Keurig

👤I was one of the first people to buy a K-Cup machine, before it became a common kitchen accessory. When their machines went from well built to throw away junk, and when they tried to lock users in to only using their own brand ofpods, I stuck with them. I moved from their home brewers to their commercial products and now own a K-150 which is one of their best ever products and I think it's one of the best home brewers. I am not new to the program and I really didn't need another one. I didn't think I did. Many of the hotels I have stayed in have the original Keurig single serve compact brewer. I travel with coffee, tea, and sometimes hot chocolate, so I can brew a quick cup in my room. The hotel room version is not suitable for home use. I was really interested when I saw the new upgraded K-Mini. I wanted it to be a viable choice to take with me when traveling due to its small size, to use at our cabin or vacation properties or even something even more special, something near and dear to my needs, as a single cup hot shot hot water dispensers for use with tea bags or The world is in desperate need of a good hot water machine, but no one knows that. There is one cheap model that has more flaws than benefits and a few models that are overpriced and flawed in design. I should have bought a dozen of the perfect model for fear that they would stop making it. The one I bought still works, but it is showing signs of wear and tear. I wanted the new K-cup to help me make a datememe datememe, a datememe is when datememe is used to make a datememe. This is it. As a coffee maker, the mini does what you would hope and expect, so I won't dwell on that. You put a single Pod into the familiar snap down receptacle and pour a cup of water into the permanently attached reservoir and push a single button and a couple of minutes later out pours your coffee. The good news is that if you don't put a Pod into it everything else will work the same way except for hot clean water that you can use for tea or anything else. Depending on how much you pour in, you can choose between 6 and 12 ounces of water. The units that parcel out a measured amount of water are the most similar. This one pours back the same as you put in it so you can make your tea, soup or cocoa as strong as you like. The design is simple yet perfect and it feels well made. There is a cutout on the back of the item that holds the power cord in, and it has a 3-prong plug. If you travel with it, you can easily remove the entire cord from the outlet if you pull it out on the kitchen counter. They are easy to understand, they are well written, and have large color illustrations. After you plug it in, you can pour water into it, but you can also fill it with anything from 6 to 12 ounces to suit your coffee strength or travel mug taste. After you put the water in, lift the handle, and insert a K-cup, and then press the large brew button, which will turn the power on, and make a brew. When the light stops flashing, the water in the cup will warm up. 40 seconds after that, the power goes off if you don't make another cup. I timed it from button press to filled cup and it took under a minute and 18 seconds. The water is very hot, cup after cup, unlike most similar brewers that get cooler for each cup. When I put one cup into it, one cup comes out of it, that's one thing that interests me. Most coffee makers don't do that. You don't have to clean it because there is no holding tank like a coffee maker. There is no water inside. I am impressed and excited about this thing. When I saw it, I thought it would be nice to have, but I didn't know I would use it at home. I was wrong. I use the mini every time I need a cup of hot water for tea, soup, hot chocolate or anything else, because I have the two sitting side by side. I didn't expect the mini to be used for those times when I want to make a single K-cup of coffee during the day, and I don't want to have to wait for the entire tank of water in my full size brewer to heat up. The process of making one cup takes about two minutes and there is no leftover water that can cause a bad taste. It is the fastest way to make a cup of coffee in my kitchen, despite the fact that some reviewers didn't understand what it was. I use this thing two or three times a day and it has become something I can't be without. If they ever get discontinued, I better buy a few of them now. It is claimed that this is a full featured coffee maker. I mention that because of a couple of disappointed users who didn't understand that the water tank isn't meant to be used with the ones that have to be manually filled with ground coffee. I have never seen the value in spending a half hour filling and cleaning gadgets to save two cents, they defeat the purpose of the speed, convenience and zero cleaning of K-cups. This doesn't have a traditional multi-cup water tank, what you pour in gets heated and poured into your cup. That's why it's called a single serve brew. I don't understand why anyone would think 2 minutes is too long to wait for coffee. When I was at Starbucks the last time, it took 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee, my full size Keurig takes over 10 minutes to warm up, and my coffee maker takes over 10 minutes. It takes about 5 minutes to boil hot water in a pot on my stove, compared to 8 minutes for most electric hot water makers. It can boil a cup of water in less than 2 minutes. This is the fastest brew I have ever seen, it takes about 1 minute and 18 seconds to brew a cup of coffee. It is a shame that so many people are comparing a single-serve machine to a full-size coffee maker that already has taken time to heat up an entire tank of water. That is going to be a few seconds faster. The time it takes to boil a cup of water at sea level and at high altitudes is substantially different, that probably accounts for some people quoting different amounts of time for their brew to heat up. You can't change that. The brew button needs to be pressed immediately after the handle is lowered. After a few seconds the machine will stop working and the handle will have to be raised and lowered again. The users who reported that their unit didn't work or wouldn't give them water didn't read the instructions. The final word. This device has given me more satisfaction than anything I have seen so far this year. Everything about it is correct. If you love the convenience of K-cups, like to make a quick cup of coffee, tea, cocoa or soup with zero prep time and zero cleanup, don't have a lot of counter space or need a personal brewer for a dorm room or office cubicle, or are looking I think it's a good idea.

Brand: Ninja

👤I think I have accumulated every type of coffee maker known to man, bordering on the need for a family intervention or a 10 step program. From a monster espresso machine from Italy to touch screen automated brewers. The photos looked intriguing enough to give me a closer look when I was offered one more machine to view and review. I know Ninja is a brand name that many people are enamored with, but I have never used or purchased any of their products. They could have made a coffee maker that raised an eyebrow. I had limited expectations after requesting it to review. I just finished running it through its paces and can say I am impressed. They seemed to have thought of everything. I like simplicity and the design of things to follow function. No matter your status, you should brew for a family or a single cup, drinking it right away or keeping it warm for up to 4 hours, as well as timing your brew to be made exactly the moment you wake up. It's thought of and included here. I am not a fan of machines with pods. They are convenient. The cost per cup is much higher than I thought, and it's even more shocking that millions of those plastic Pods are generated as trash every day. You can use paper filters on this machine if you're so inclined. There is a measuring tool on the side of the machine that will remind you of the correct amount of grounds to add for the brew you want. It comes with a carafe for a full pot brew, or you can place a conventional cup there for a single cup brew. Place your travel cup under the spout and press the button to get the quantity. You can choose from 6 settings as to quantity with the simple dial mechanism. The strength of the brew is determined by three buttons, which allow the coffee to be held in the grounds longer for a stronger brew. When you wake up, set a timer so your coffee is ready. It is a simple setup. There are no mechanical engineering degrees required. You can either fill the water tank by flipping up the lid, or you can use the tank to fill the sink if you prefer. Is that what it is? Nope. They thought of a machine that had a frothing arm on it. Add your milk to your brew. Simply rinse the wand under the faucet after a half turn. The temperature of the coffee brew is 175 degrees. The unit is made of plastic, but it is sturdy and well constructed. You can't wait and want that first cup pronto. The lever on the front stops the flow into the carafe. The rest of the brew will continue if you replace the carafe with your first cup. Are there any negatives? The only thing I can think of is that the unit is small and should fit under any cabinets. I think it has a modern and efficient look, especially if you're making just one cup of brew and the cup is sitting on the fold down holder. To make sure your hot water is clean and sterile, you're told to brew two full pots of water without coffee in the first place. I will report back if I find any issues that didn't jump out initially. This machine is not cheap since it doesn't do any extra chores. Ninja created a machine that is well worth your consideration, it has a variety of features, including the ability to brew a single cup, to adjust the brew strength and time the brew begins, to interrupt a carafe for an impatient cup as well as ease of cleaning and aesthetic look.

Brand: Braun

👤I ran a gallon of water through the machine, thinking that the Afresh cleaning tablets weren't up to the job. This took the better part of the day between the tanks of clean water and the actual vinegar. I had great coffee again. For a couple of days. It started getting more watery. I am pretty sure that the individual jets of water are no longer spraying straight down, but some are shooting off to the side. I think this is the reason it is making a whole mug of coffee in under 30 seconds. My husband wants to take the whole thing apart. I need all devices that I encounter daily, pre-caffeine, to just work, so I have already replaced this with a no-bells-and-whistles $30 standard drip coffeemaker, and husband can have the Braun as his overpriced little project. It has been over a year and a half since I bought this coffee maker, and I am not happy. It has become wildly unpredictable. Every day I get a different cup of coffee because of the same thing. Everything from bitter and undrinkable to light coffee flavoured water. The coffee water issue has been solved by using the "bold" setting, but I still get anything from "ok" to "undrinkable" while making no changes to my process at all. I really like the machine, but I have to caveat that I am writing this after owning it for three days. I wanted to replace my 9-yr-old Keurig with something more eco-friendly. When my parents come to my house, they want a whole carafe full of coffee. This is the best of both worlds. I haven't made a full carafe yet, but I've made single cups and have some thoughts. Three small scoops of coffee are required for a 12oz cup of coffee. No. That was the most bitter cup of coffee. I had never tasted it. It was fine after I cut it back to 2. I cut it back to 1.5 scoops. A lot of reviews mention the machine's height. There is not enough clearance to open the compartment where the filter goes and lift it out. I put felt over the rubber feet on the machine to solve the problem. It is easy to push it back to deal with the filter. The little accents are bright green. I don't think that color goes with anyone's kitchen. It's surely not mine. I have seen complaints about the machine but they are straight forward. The clock is on all the time. You just choose your brew size, hit the power button which lights up all the other brew options, and you are done. It will start doing it. Something. It is automatically done. The water tank is small, but that was a selling point for me. The water tank is gross. Who would want to brew coffee in a tank with three-day old water? I just put in as much as I need and dump any extra in the tank. I saw that the machine has a filter. It is a small thing to remove chlorine. I will just use the water from the filter to fill it. The gold-tone coffee mesh coffee filter is fine. The instructions say you can use a paper filter in this machine, but I don't know why. The first part of the serial number is KF917. KF907 is the most popular model on the market. This version has a separate dispensers for hot water. It is hard to tell the difference between the two machines because it is right beside where the coffee comes out. Make sure you know what you are buying. I am writing this weekend after Thanksgiving when the 907s are much cheaper than the 917. The water dispensers was a selling point for me. If it isn't for you, save yourself some money and look at another model. If you are looking for a no-Kcup drop machine that will do multiple single-cups sizes, and a carafe, and a machine that has a separate water dispensers, you are not bothered by the height and can play around with the amount of grounds.

4. Keurig Single Serve K Cup Special

Keurig Single Serve K Cup Special

The carafe plate keeps coffee warm for an hour after it's been made. The cup is approximately 5 ounces. They arevaries by brew technique. The special edition has a nickel colored finish, metal handle and a tray. There are four cup sizes: 6, 8, 10, and 12 ounce. The button controls are simple to use and will brew delicious coffee or make hot or iced lattes and cappuccinos. The large 60 ounce water reservoir allows you to brew 6 cups before having to refill, saving you time and making refilling easy. No need to wait for the coffee maker to heat before selecting your cup size is a smart start. The auto off feature turns your brew off after 2 hours. The travel mug friendly is dishwasher safe and can hold travel mugs up to 7.2 inches tall. The handle is open.

Brand: Keurig

👤The first 4 cups were not good, with 3 cups of steamed milk and 1 cup of cold milk. I felt like I had tried everything. I was going to return the item because it was too expensive to make a single serve coffee, but I decided against it. My last ditch effort paid off. I wondered why I was given this lid. It might serve a purpose in the process. I used 2% Promised Land milk on the cappuccino. Success! It was more than just a little foam or thin. There was a lot of foam. If you haven't used the lid yet, try it! It makes all the difference.

👤I am changing my review to one star. I used to love this maker. It died after seven months of use. The power goes off as it tries to pump. I tried to go back to normal. Still shutting down. I make 3 cups a day. The machine should last more than a year.

👤The combination of this machine with coffee lovers who want fast and reliable is a great one. The machine is plugged into its own circuit. The reason is that it will trip the circuit breakers. It seems to happen when the auto engages. I spoke with the engineers of Keurig who said that it will likely trip your circuit breaker. I am disabling the auto off after each use, even though you can do that in the user guide. It's not as convenient, but a small sacrifice for great coffee.

👤I wish this wasn't the review I'm writing because I've loved my older unit and I was planning on replacing it, however, after two of these coffee machines, we've determined there's an electrical fault in the units that trip the breakers. I am talking about more than just gfci/gfi outlets. Any outlet in the house is tripped. It's really frustrating. The machine is beautiful, but not great at the moment. I will check back when the unit is proofed.

👤I did a lot of research to find a K-Cup compatible machine that makes both espressos and lattes. I know it's a lot, but I wanted that. It's a good thing. There is nothing that compares with this machine. It does not make a "legit" espresso, but the "strong" option on the machine gives me the next best thing with a dark or espresso roast. The "strong" option can be used to make a stronger brew of coffee. The milk frother is great. My mother is a big fan of her latte foam, but she is picky about it. I bought her a machine for her birthday. It does all this and makes coffee. I don't have time to wait in the morning for the coffee to be ready, and I found a few other machines that were similar, but they didn't brew coffee at a fast pace. It is easy to use, and I like that because I am easily confused before my first cup of coffee. I can't speak to the machine's longevity because I only had it for two weeks. I hope that is the case. Cheers!

5. Keurig K155 Office Commercial Single

Keurig K155 Office Commercial Single

It was designed and assembled in the USA. The features that everyone will value are offered by this coffee maker. A full color touch screen interface with a brew temperature and auto on/off settings. You can make up to 18 cups with a 90 ounce water reservoir, which is easy to fill. Choose from 4 different brew sizes, which include 4 ounce, 6 ounce, 8 ounce or 10 ounce from strong to milder brews. Only a few commercial coffee makers offer the option to drain and remove water from the internal hot water tank for storage. Less than a minute.

Brand: Keurig

👤The K155 is a quality material and impressive-looking coffee machine. The most common fault I've read in the reviews is addressed. The machine has a metallic taste. This is easy. It's a brand new machine, and I would hope that it's $200+ price tag is correct. This is something to expect in its initial use. To clear the taste, wash the reservoir with warm water. Just below the Max line is where you should fill the reservoir. White wine vinaigrette should be added. Allow the mixture to sit for a while. You can brew coffee without a K-Cup. When prompted to refill, refill to max line with plain tap water. The water should be completely poured through the machine. When prompted to refill, rinse the reservoir with warm tap water. There is a refill with water. Enjoy your coffee. Coffee gets better and better after this method. There are four brew volume options. I realized after being clever that the coffee flavor is noticeably weakened. My experience shows that a single K-cup should not be larger than 10 ounces. Coffee grounds-in-filter-brewed coffee is more expensive than the good ol' coffee grounds-in-Keurig. You sacrifice convenience by choosing the less expensive coffee machine. There is no need to measure out the grounds-to-water ratio or worry about clean-up with the K-cups. You would be sacrificing the practicality of maintaining a set of different flavors of coffees. If you want the different flavors of the old-fashioned method, you have to purchase several large bags of different flavors, which can lose their freshness over a short period of time. Coffee grounds can be purchased in an assortment of different flavors, from which you can choose to brew within seconds. There is a lot of value in owning a machine like the K155. It has a large water tank that can hold up to 10 cups of coffee per fill up. I have not found refilling to be inconvenient. I don't get the feeling that I just filled up a few hours ago from cheaper models. It's solid, by comparison to less expensive models. When you add a K-cup and close the latch, you get a sturdy and secure piece of equipment, no longer feeling like you may break it. The water can remain heated while the machine is on. Great for a quick cup of joe. The screen is beautiful. This is something that will impress you and your guests as it is very eye-catching and responsive. A light touch is all that is needed to select your brew, then press the large button below the screen to brew in a cup. The way a cup of coffee was intended, the temperature of the water is perfect. Hot, but not from your tongue. It was heated with a Starbucks level of care. This model can be installed onto your water line, which will allow it to fill with water. The optional $180 plumb kit is required for this convenience. The included reservoir has not been a problem to refill in my home thus far. I might consider investing in the plumb kit if I were buying it for my small business. I can't resist the urge to brew a cup of coffee because it is so beautiful in my kitchen. I'm attracted to my coffee machine. I think my coffee consumption has increased since I bought this machine. Why only 4 stars? 5 stars indicate perfect. This falls just shy of perfect as it doesn't guarantee me a lot of time with it, but it does give me a chance to try it out. If I could, I'd give it a 4.5 score, but that task is for Amazon to improve.

6. Keurig K Elite Temperature Capability Programmable

Keurig K Elite Temperature Capability Programmable

"Pod Basket" is not included. The water filter handle and the water filter are in the box. The most popular cup sizes are 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12oz. The strong brew button increases the strength and bold taste of your coffee. ICED SETTING Iced coffee can be made at the touch of a button. The hot water on demand button is perfect for instant soups. The brew temperature can be adjusted between 187 and 192. Coffee made in minutes. The large 75oz water refill allows you to brew 8 cups before having to refill. Re refilling is easy with theremovable reservoir.

Brand: Keurig

👤The model same problem has water-2 Keurigs. We had an original design of Keurig that went out and we bought this to replace it. I bought a new model of the coffee maker 29 days before we woke up, and it leaked water from the spout all over the counter, down the cabinet, and on my wood floors. Amazon was replaced with the same model overnight. The replacement is leaking. We wake up with an extra cup under the counter. You will not have coffee. The auto on feature is hit or miss when it leaks in the off mode. Very disappointed! They said they would take care of us after we contacted them. With great customer care and the admission of leaking issues on a bunch of serial numbers, Keurig is sending a new machine free of charge and email a coupon for 2 free boxes of Kcups. I have to say that the issue was resolved by Keurig as they made it right. I should have a new machine in a week and they said the leaking issue has been solved and I should like it.

👤K75 died recently. The air pump went out. I looked at the new ones and chose the Elite. Several reviews said it made weak coffee even with the strong brew setting turned on. I pulled the Trigger because there were more positive reviews. I think that the people who left reviews saying the coffee was weak were trying to brew a travel mug size with a single coffee Pod. I will explain why I think this is a problem. Let's discuss the physical aspects of this machine first. The quality seems to be better than before. The bale is made of metal on the Elite and plastic on the K75. It feels solid and smooth to operate. The sliding attachment system is better for the water reservoir. It was very easy to get on and off. If you have to remove the tray, it's quick and easy, because it's not as tall, and you can get taller mugs under it. There is no water on the left side. The design is better than the K75 on the outside. How well does the Elite brew coffee? Absolutely amazing cup of coffee. The best we have had from a coffee maker. Let's start this off a little bit. We don't like to contribute to plastic in the landfill if we don't have to, so we don't use the coffee Pods. We grind whole bean coffee with a high quality burr grinder and use the "My K- Pod". There are two fill lines for coffee grounds. One for normal mugs and one for travel mugs. My wife and I like our coffee strong, and we use a dark roast, so we filled the My K- Pod with coffee to just below the travel mug size. The largest mug size is 10oz, which is what the Keurig Elite says. This made a really strong cup of coffee. Our old K75 was far better than it could have been. We did the same thing with our K75, even selecting a smaller cup size, but we couldn't get near the strength that we are getting with the Elite. I was not happy about buying a new coffee maker, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. We are very happy with the purchase. If you like to grind your own coffee, you'll be happy with this. There is a I think that some of the people that left one star reviews may have used normal coffee Pods, or a light or medium Roast, or chose a large cup size. I don't know if this is true, but one star reviewer rarely puts any detail into their reviews. It's one sentence and one star. If you want good coffee, grind it fresh with a good quality grinder and use the My K- Pod. You can put in more grounds than a standard K-Cup with this. Don't grind the coffee too fine, don't overfill, and don't compress the coffee grounds, follow the instructions. Make sure you have the lid on when you shake the My K- Pod to hear them moving inside. You are doing something wrong if you can't get a good cup of coffee.

7. Keurig K Supreme Plus MultiStream Technology

Keurig K Supreme Plus MultiStream Technology

Moccamaster coffee brewers have a 5-year warranty. BREWID makes your K-Cup perfectly delicious by adjusting the brew settings. There is a beer that isRECOMMENDED BREW. The Roaster created settings for the brew. Saturates the coffee grounds more evenly to extract the full flavor and aroma of the coffee. The STAINLESS STEEL METAL WRAP is black. Premium finish for a modern look. You can brew your favorite beverages over ice. Coffee is stronger to reduce ice melting and beverage dilution. Up or down with 5 settings from Balanced to Intense. Choose from Warm to Max Hot for the ideal temperature.

Brand: Keurig

👤I have been a fan of the original machine for two decades. Coffee in under two minutes is the primary appeal. They have added a number of features over the years. The machines are quieter and more reliable. Any real coffee drinker will need that. The new model does not add value. The setup for the phone app and the integration with it are unreliable. The new options make it hard to make a good cup of coffee. You have to wait for the decode to happen. If fails to recognize the Pod at least 1/3 of the time. You are told to put one in the machine. The five holes in the lid leak during brew. One of the less complex models is my suggestion. A software developer can tell a good design from a bad one. Software is unbelievably bad. I will probably buy the simpler K-Supreme model after returning the unit. I'd be happy to upgrade my rating if they focused on coffee rather than gimmickry, and that's what they did with K-cups. I decided to try again. The Plus model is working well. The operation is simple, no hassle with unreliable internet and no lag as the machine attempts to identify the K-Cup and set a custom brew cycle. The best options are as hot as possible, 192 degrees; and as strong as possible, 8 ounces with quality cups. The Barista line is excellent. The new and refined five needle design is what makes Illypods so close to a high-end espresso maker.

👤Why is my coffee maker on the internet? It sounds cool, but I don't know. It isn't cool. Why does my smart brew need to connect to my internet to make a cup of joe? Why does my machine not work for three cups anymore? Why does a coffee machine need to be auto pushed? After returning the first machine which stopped working, I found that this one wouldn't connect to my app. The app is very slow. If you just want a cup of joe when you want it, it would be best to keep it simple and buy a machine that does that. You don't need IT support to brew coffee.

👤This is the best one I have ever owned. I've bought at least 10. I have passed some of the gifts down to family members. I love technology even at the ripe old age of 85. Make sure you have a mug with you when you order a coffee.

👤A cup of coffee can be made with this Keurig. I can't say that hasn't been said by others or covered in the description from the manufacturer. Over the last ten or so years, I've owned five different Keurig machines. This coffee is more delicious than any other I've used. The K-Supreme is the best machine I have ever owned, but the last machine I owned was the more recent Keurig Platinum. If you've had a K-cup in the past and valued it for its ease of use and convenience but didn't like the brew, then I highly recommend giving this machine a try. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Brand: Zulay Kitchen

👤The seller contacted me after he submitted a warranty on the product. They sent me a new frother that works better. The company made it right, even if you get the dud. You can upgrade to 5 stars. This is terrible. As soon as the liquid is submerged, it loses all power. Don't waste your money.

👤I didn't know I needed this. I saw a video of someone who was obsessed with the drink, London fog, and she said you can make your own if you get a frother. Thank you for ranking this so high. I make different versions of coffee at home. You need 2 double A batteries to put this little guy together. It has a stand. I made a very strong coffee, warmed up whole milk in the microwave, stuck the frother in the middle of the milk, and poured it into my mug. It was so good that I added 3 lbs of sugar. It's so perfect. There is a coupon on the side of the box. It will register your warranty. It's pretty awesome! I only made one drink. I am very excited for future lattes and latte art. Also! I have to pay more for my coffee because it costs so much. This will save me money and I will get my coffee in the comfort of my own home.

👤It's a great find for a cappuccino lover like me. A great price for a nifty little contraption. Zulay's customer service is the most awesome. The first one I bought stopped working. I contacted them. A very friendly and prompt response was received from their Kitchen Happiness Specialist. Apparently there was a faulty motor. They would be happy to send me a replacement for free. I sent my address. I received another email that said I don't need to send the old one back. They said they would send me an extra one. A nice holiday themed gift wrap was wrapped up in my mailbox. It was opened and voila. The Happiness Specialist promised there would be 2 milk frothers inside. 5 stars for Zulay's Kitchen people. I got two of these awesome cappuccino makers. I love it!

👤The first frother stopped working after a couple of weeks and we tried to swap out batteries, but couldn't. New one came right away after the return was processed. This one seems to be working well. Before installing the upper battery, make sure the bottom battery is pushed down. I wish I'd seen the note from the seller to contact them first, as they would do everything in their power to address any issues. The unit is backed up by a solid company. Highly recommend!

👤I use the aerator to make my coffee foamy. I use it every morning. It is worth the money for what is used. It definitely does its job, but you have to depress the button at the top for the whole time you need to use it. This becomes uncomfortable when I have arthritis in my thumbs. The other aerator I owned had a sliding bar on the side that you could slide up or down to operate it. I don't like the top of the counter holder, it's difficult to replace the batteries. It has to be on the counter if it isn't in that holder. Maybe it could be made with a flat bottom. It does what it is advertised to do, but it has some small problems. It is a good value from the price point. There are some minor issues with it.

👤I am giving this machine 5 stars, and now that I have spent a few weeks getting to know it, I love it, so much, that if a burglar broke into my house and stole, I would be so happy. You need to read this review so that you get the most out of your machine and that it doesn't frustrate you. My coffee-loving friend: 1. I have never heard of espresso machines before. I don't usually read instructions. This machine is not self-explanatory and you need to read the instructions, which are well written. Unless you have read the instructions, don't get frustrated with this machine. 2. This is not a stand-alone purchase. If you want to get the most out of it, you need to invest another $100 right from the start, and not get frustrated by making your own coffee. 3. The other things you should order at the same time are: a. You want to get these. It's only $0.29 per cup and are far more convenient that you have to clean out a million cups a week. These are worth more than they cost. When your friends are over, you don't need to give them a nice coffee cup to take with them, just give them a paper cup to take with them. The price for 25 oz. is 15 and the price for 64 oz. is 20 and 30. The pump tops that go with the syrups and sauces are always sold separately. If you drink the same thing on a regular basis, you should buy the 64 ounce white chocolate sauce and not the 25 ounce bottle. The grey is the same color as the espresso machine, but the color doesn't matter. Again, trust me, you want a nicely folded stack of these sitting next to the machine - you will use 1 each time you make espresso, and then it will be dirty and needs to be washed. We made so much coffee at my house that we bought two 24-packs, but I'm thinking about buying a third pack. The set of double-walled espresso shot glasses is $10 for a pair of single shot size. The rounded ones will not pour very well and will be very frustrating to use, so don't buy them. You'll be happy to buy the JoyJolt Javaah Double Walled Espresso Glasses instead. If you're going to make a lot of double-shot lattes/mochas, you should buy a set of Dragon Glassware 6 oz Espresso Cups so that you don't have to keep fiddling with the single shot cups. Double-walled glasses are important for two reasons. It keeps the espresso hot while you're steaming your milk, and it also prevents you from burning your fingers when pouring the espresso into your coffee cup. The Breville BCB 100 is a coffee knock box. Again, trust me, you want this right next to your machine - the coffee grounds will start piling up quickly and you don't want your portafilter anywhere near a garbage can. This is a must have. 4. This machine will take some counter space and allow at least 34 inches of counter width to accommodate, so slightly more is even better. This is a 34 inch setup, and there is no room to spare. 5. Making coffee. When the beans are grinding, lightly knock on the top of the lid to keep the beans from feeding down to the grinder. If you overfill the portafilter it will jam coffee grounds into the water outlet and possibly damage the portafilter or locking guide. After the grounds are removed from the filter cup, the silver part of the tamper should be hidden beneath the portafilter. A. When making espresso, you want to watch the pressure gauge. It needs to be in the dark grey area of the pressure gauge during the brew cycle, otherwise you are not making good espresso and you are either making watered down espresso or not enough espresso. The volume of grounds in the portafilter and the fineness at which the coffee is ground affect the pressure. Although there is a one or two shot size setting, I have found it best to do two, 1-shot grinds, in between each single-shot grind. I have the volume setting on the 4th click, and I have the fineness setting on either 2 or 3, so you can play around and see what works for you. If the pressure is too low, then either your coffee is ground too coarse, or you have not filled the filter with enough coffee grounds, or a combination of all of these things. If the pressure is too high, you can either ground your coffee too finely or you can use a combination of the two. A. If you use two, single-shot espresso glasses to collect a double-shot brew, make sure you keep an eye on them during the brew cycle and make sure they are centered under the espresso being served. D. If you are making a syrup drink, you should pre- mix the espresso and syrup in the glass and stir thoroughly before adding the steamed milk. It does not come naturally, and steaming milk is 1/2 art and 1/2 science. If you've never worked at a coffee shop and have never been trained to steam milk, you should watch a few good ones. There are videos on how to steam milk. You will be happy to know that you took a few minutes on You Tube to learn the proper way to steam milk. Understanding the steaming process will allow you to control the amount of foam on top. F. You don't want a lot of water in your milk if you use the steam wand to remove the residual water from the boiler line. Wait 5 full seconds, then insert the steam wand into the milk. When the steaming cup is too hot for your right hand to touch, hold the handle with your left and place your right hand underneath the pump. If you want a semi-hot latte/mocha, keep the steam wand in the milk for 30 double-dits. To be hot, count to 40 double-dits and 50 double-dits. You will need to toss out the milk if it's above 60 because it will ruin the flavor. If you want to avoid having milk sucked back up into the steam line, remove the steam wand from the milk before the steam ends. There is a g. Milk that gets sucked up into the steam wand line and ends up in the boiler can be removed by Venting the steam wand again. If you don't vent the line after use, the milk will burn in the boiler and you will have to steam every cup of milk in the future. Make sure you vent the steam line religiously after each use, and make sure others who use your machine know that they can ruin it if they don't do so as well. There goes $500. h. The bottom tray is easy to clean and empty. You should empty this every 2 to 4 days because it fills up even if you don't pour liquid into it, and the machine will automatically shut off when you finish using the steam wand or hot water dispensers. Even though you don't realize it, it's filling up a little with each use. The hot water can be used to make tea. 6. Cleaning up. Each time I make espresso, I put a clean washcloth on. It will help avoid damaging your counter and catch the spill-over grounds. Use hot water from your kitchen sink to rinse the espresso cup(s), milk steaming cup, portafilter and filter insert, then use another clean washcloth to set them out to dry. A. To make espresso, fold the washcloth in half, twice, and use the hot water dispensers to get one corner of the square wet with hot water, then fold the square into a triangle. It will take a little time and firm pressure, but make sure the wand is clean so that you don't get milk on your steam wand. 7. Milk is kept stocked. If your family uses milk for other things, it's time to move up to a 2-gallon at a time household. Once you discover the delicious lattes/mochas which are quick at hand, the milk will begin to disappear quickly, and my house is now a 3-gallon at a time household with 3 people regularly using the machine. You never want to be out of to-go cups in the morning so keep a spare box of to-go cups on hand. If you run out of coffee beans, there's no reason to ever run out of coffee beans. A spare bottle of your favorite syrups/sauces is a good idea. All the fun is over if you run out. There are 8. There are quirks and tips. You don't need to pull the water tank off each time, just take a 4-cup measuring cup and refill it when it gets 1/2-way down. The machine is not smart enough to know when the water is out and it will run out of water, which is not good for the machine or the pumps. I recommend buying whole, never pre-ground Starbucks espresso roast beans. Why would you spend $600 on a coffee bar setup and then use pre-ground coffee? If you prefer Pete's or Dutch Bros., you should buy whole bean bags of Starbucks' espresso roast. A bag of beans will be used every 1-2 weeks. A. Transitioning to a different type of bean? The machine was not set up for an easy transition. If you want to transition from regular espresso beans to decaf beans, you have to remove the bean Hopper, pour the regular beans into a bag, and then vacuum out the remaining regular beans from the grinding gear mechanism. We did this once at my house and will never do it again. I hope you liked my review and that it helps you make great drinks.

👤The machine was great for about four weeks. The frother kept giving me an error message. I went through the routine to get rid of it. This happened for days. Customer Service told me to do a factory reset after I called. That didn't change anything. I began having trouble with the brew. The time before the procedure became long. I think the machine has a pump problem. A replacement was arranged after I called Customer Service again. I had a replacement unit 10 days after I got it. I was supposed to return the first one. They sent me the more expensive Touch, which was a mistake. When I called Customer Service again, they told me I had to send the Touch back first, and then we could start the return process. The machine has been out of service for longer than I thought. I'm a frustrated customer.

👤Do your research! The Barista Touch heating design is causing problems for Breville. The brew temp of my original unit from Amazon was only 145 degrees. The brew should be around 200 degrees. I contacted Breville and arranged for the exchange of a new unit, which they assured me had design changes to address the problem. The brew temp was achieved in the same range. I was told by Breville to return the product. They hope most people won't notice that they haven't addressed this issue. Don't spend your money on this machine until Breville can solve the brew temp issue.

👤The water filter used by this brewer can only be ordered from Breville. The cost is more than double the cost of their other machines. Not well supported!

👤Good design. It wasn't warm enough to get a good pull. Not very user friendly. I got the express instead.

👤I have owned the Barista Touch for a month. I was a little bit frustrated when I first heard that it would make great espresso out of the box. The machine makes it possible to make drinks at home, but there is a definite learning curve that must be overcome. In the process of learning how to adjust the grind, dose and extract time for the beans you select, you will waste a bag or two of coffee. If you want to get expert advice on settings, extraction and which beans will help you get the best from your machine, you should go to a store that sells and demonstrates these machines. I am really enjoying this machine. The milk frother makes it easy to make great tasting drinks at home and I am getting consistent shots with great taste. My daughter used to be a barista. I am starting to experiment with new drinks and recipes. The Barista Touch is very good. I have owned this machine for over a year and use it daily. It works great and I still recommend it.

👤It makes great coffee. Looks like it. It doesn't take long to make a great coffee or espresso if you get the hang of it. You need to pour espresso into a larger cup for a latte or cappuccino if you want it to fit in a normal coffee cup.

Brand: Amazon Renewed

👤I bought a coffee maker because I drink coffee the most. Sometimes I have people over. I wanted to brew a full pot. I liked that I could use my own coffee, since it feels like an irresponsible use of individual K-cups. It does spatter a bit, but I can live with that. I only commented because I had a problem that I could only fix by going to YouTube. I wanted to share it with you. I forgot to put the filter on the single side when I made myself a cup of coffee. There was a mess of coffee grounds inside the cup. Not appetizing! I saw a new light after cleaning up the mess. It was red and needed to be cleaned. I cleaned the piercing needle and looked at it carefully. Nothing worked. The manual doesn't mention this step, so I will share it here. The center and left buttons should be pressed at the same time. The single side will be put into cleaning mode. Run the water through with some sort of liquid. Then rinse it off. The red light is gone.

👤I found a way to prevent the kpods from exploding. If you put the Pod in and press it down to poke the hole through the bottom, it will not explode and make a mess. When you put it in and press down the top, the pressure on the foil will rip it. I almost returned it, but I found a way to solve my problem.

👤I bought it through Amazon Renew. It is the best coffee maker I have ever owned. It's easy to program for the morning, it comes with a basket filter, or you can use the paper ones. You prefer either one. You can brew a regular 12 Cup carafe of coffee, use K-Cups, or use the included K-cup to make your own coffee. It's nice that the brew is faster than the actual one. There are a lot of options in this thing. The price was exactly what I was looking for. It was a no-brainer.

👤It is hard to hit the little opening when pouring coffee water on the side of the carafe. It seems like there is a better way to do this. There was a 12 ounce option. The instructions for the function on the carafe are not good. Couldn't figure it out with the internet. The easy removal water tank is similar. Very easy. Everyone knows that it's either a make or break.

👤The cleaning step on the side of the carafe was a failure. I had to push the coffee holder up to allow water to drain into the pot. Since this was a replacement unit for another model with a bigger problem, I started to experiment before giving up the brand. The button on the top of the carafe isn't high enough and the grounds holder isn't long enough. Water could drain into the pot if there was no contact between the 2 areas. I thought the extra weight of a wet filter would do the trick. Assume grounds will add more weight and allow total success. I don't care for 4 hour old coffee and will invest in a storage carafe. The first one going back has been a challenge. I think hot plate would cause another issue, so I wouldn't keep the carafe from the old unit. Since the original unit is likely trash bound, I'm going to shut it down after the brew cycle is over. Hopefully I won't have to deal with imported stuff. I want to enjoy my coffee.
