1. Cuisinart SS 20 Thermal Single Serve Coffeemaker

Cuisinart SS 20 Thermal Single Serve Coffeemaker

You can use your own coffee through HomeBarista features if you choose to use one of the three serving sizes. There is a particular function. When you've finished your brew, you can enjoy energy save mode, because their single-serve brewer has a 40ozremovable water tank that can be used for travel mugs. The thermal carafe coffee maker has a fully automatic feature that can brew up to 10 cups of coffee at once. Must-have features. Their 10-cup coffee brewer allows you to control your brew strength so you can boast light to strong coffee flavor as well as adjust your carafe water temperature that runs through its charcoal water filter. You can sip a cup before your brew cycle ends with their Brew Pause feature.

Brand: Cuisinart

👤I strongly recommend that you don't buy this coffee maker. It is an extravagant gout. We bought our appliance in February 2020. It was difficult to fill the main reservoir without using a funnel. At least once a month, when we brew our morning coffee, the grounds will explode into the clean water and into the coffee pot and all over the coffee station. There is a lot of mess to clean up. The last cup of coffee comes with gross sediment when using the mesh filter. I switched to paper filters and they didn't work, but we still had messes and spew overs. We stopped using it because it explodes every time. We paid a lot for this coffee maker, so I wouldn't buy it again. I would not buy it from anyone else. The coffee maker was worse than the one we had, but it was not as bad as the Hamilton Beach. Conair, the company behind the Cuisinart name, will replace the coffeemaker but will not extend the warranty for the time I have been unable to use it. They are giving me a new coffeemaker, but can't guarantee it will work better than the one I bought. The company doesn't want to back the coffee maker because it's not reliable.

👤The B70 is on its last leg. I decided to use a non-Keurig with a kcup. 1. If you stand close to the coffee machine, the burner, the table top, and the cup stand, you will get hot coffee all over it. 2. There is a needle in the kcups. Unless you play a game of "Operation", someone will slice their knuckles open. See the pic. 3. You can't tell if there's coffee or how much because Carafe is made of steel. 4. You have to turn the carafe down to get the last 3 cups. Carafe doesn't have a smooth transition lip. The pic is 5. You can't do a kcup and a carafe at the same time. When the carafe is on, Kcup turns off. The carafe and kcup have large water tanks.

👤The coffee craft part was not bad. The k cup is not good. It looks like a coffee grind explosion if the arrows are not aligned. The coffee goes into the cup when the arrows are aligned, and it splatters all over the coffee craft. I expected the brand to have no problems on the first day. I wish they put the same amount of effort into the k cup as they do into the craft. When arrows are not lined up all the coffee grinds leave the k cup and leave the chamber when the k cup is complete with coffee grinds. You can't take the part out to clean, so grinds get everywhere when you try to scoop it out of the needle chamber. It took me three times longer to clean the k cup dispensers. No clue if the coffee is good. The coffee craft flavor was fine, nothing that warrants the price, but just fine. There is a The insulated coffee craft keeps it warm. The instructions book is not very good. I had to look up videos to figure it out. Will be coming back to these disasters. If you like a decent craft and want to spend a lot of money on a product you can only use half of, go for it.

2. Ninja 12 Cup Programmable CE251 Stainless

Ninja 12 Cup Programmable CE251 Stainless

Each brew is delicious and never bitter. The boiler for a perfectly hot cup of coffee is advanced. Wake up to coffee. You can prepare your brew up to a day in advance. The warming plate can keep coffee fresh for up to 4 hours. You can easily carry the 60-oz.removable water reservoir to your sink. The parts are dishwasher safe. Yes. The permanent filter was included.

Brand: Ninja

👤This is a review that is independent. I bought the coffee maker on a whim, hoping it would work out. The design makes complete sense, starting with the fact that it's so easy to wash, compared to a basic coffee maker where it's built into the main unit and you have to wash it on a regular basis. I love the small batches of brew you can make, because I only make two cups in the morning. It can be hard to get the right taste for a small amount of a 12 cup maker. You can tell the difference between classic and rich brews. Classic is what it sounds like, a classic taste, while rich is a little stronger if you prefer stronger coffee. The side of the unit has a scooper that is very convenient. My only hope is that the maker lasts. Love the design!

👤I've been using my coffee maker for a long time. I had another appliance before that. It's been interesting to see how the Ninja compares. There's a lot to like about the Ninja. It is easy to set up. You have to wash all the parts in warm soapy water and then run two cycles with plain water. No big deal. You're ready to leave. The filter that came with mine is a must for me. The machine has a coffee scoop that can be used for one scoop of coffee per cup of water. You can take the whole water tank off and fill it. There was a measuring water in the carafe. And then putting it in the tank. If you fill the water tank to the top, it will get heavy. The coffee maker has all of the options you would expect. It can make a small amount of coffee, keep the warming plate on, and be programmed to start making coffee at a specific time. There are two criticisms I have. I don't like the lid of the coffee pot. It always gets stuck when it clicks into place. Don't take it off while the pot is still hot. You're going to burn yourself. The coffee maker is larger than my one. The Ninja has its own real estate, with the screen in front of the coffee filter and the water in the back. The Ninja is bigger and less streamlined than the Cuisinart's, but I like the Ninja clock more. I like the Ninja so far. It makes a good cup of coffee and looks good on my counter.

👤Wow! I only had this for a few weeks, but I had to say something. This isn't your Mom's coffee maker. It has a separate tank for water, so you don't have to pour it onto the machine. It's easy. The shower head design of the top distributes hot water evenly over the coffee grounds. It stops and starts in "rich" mode. This process can be implemented properly with a small serving option. It's very easy to clean. The best performance is achieved by using the #4 cone type filters. The integrated scoop is on the left side of the unit.

3. BUNN CSB3T Platinum Thermal Coffee

BUNN CSB3T Platinum Thermal Coffee

Single serve brew time. Flexbrew makes a strong cup of coffee in about 3 minutes and you save energy because Flexbrew only heats the water when you're ready to brew. It takes less than half the time of other top selling home coffee makers to brew a full pot of coffee. The hot water tank is made of commercial grade steel. Care and cleaning of dishwasher-safe parts. One large travel mug is poured into a full pot. Coffee is kept warm for 2 hours with a double wall vacuum insulated thermal carafe. The spray head is unique for coffee. The warranty is backed by BUNN customer service. It was designed and assembled in the USA.

Brand: Bunn

👤An older coffee maker was well used and was replaced by this coffee maker. Read reviews on two very different dual purpose makers. I went with this one based on the reviews. It works well. The negative reviews about the grounds seem to be fake. The coffee making process is very clean and very good. The grounds that the water passes through look like they were used correctly. I have lost confidence in the review process, but this one is correct.

👤This review is legit. I wonder if competitors are buying this coffee pot just so they can leave a negative review, after reading some of these. The smell of plastic? There is no. The tank is not plastic. I replaced my 10 year old pot on my 3rd bunn because I didn't know how to clean the tank. I love the style of carafe, I keep my old one, I make two pots in the morning, fill my girlfriend cup with the rest of the carafe, and then make another pot. It looks amazing. You are wrong to have a negative comment on this pot. If one stopped working, I am sure that is rare. I rarely leave feedback, but this pot deserves it because someone else said "Fake News"

👤The logo of the coffee maker is subtle and Embossed rather than the BUNN logo on the front of the machine. It was important to me that I looked good. There is a The smell of burning plastic that was reported by some reviewers does not exist in this machine. Coffee is made very quickly. I have not yet been used to the speed. Since it is that fast, there is no need for a pause. The double wall carafe is very good. The product description states that it keeps coffee hot for 2 hours. Coffee ended up all over the place and made a mess in some reviews. I bought the coffee filters and the re-usable one. There were no problems there. I only had it for a short time and gave it 4 stars. Will do it again a year from now. I decided to revisit my review of this machine, even though I said '1 year'. I have not had a single complaint almost 4 months later. The thermal pot keeps the coffee very hot for a few hours, and it's hot enough for another few hours. The coffee is warm at the end of the day if I'm desperate. I think that's correct. Coffee grinds have never overflowed and made a mess. I stress that I use coffee filters for BUNN machines. If it makes a difference to anyone, I grind premium coffee beans with a Capresso burr grinder or ground coffee from the same brand. It was updated again. The machine is still performing well. Since I only make coffee once a day, I put a timer on the plug and it works. I turn off the timer when I have guests staying over so we don't have to make coffee all day.

4. Keurig K155 Office Commercial Single

Keurig K155 Office Commercial Single

It was designed and assembled in the USA. The features that everyone will value are offered by this coffee maker. A full color touch screen interface with a brew temperature and auto on/off settings. You can make up to 18 cups with a 90 ounce water reservoir, which is easy to fill. Choose from 4 different brew sizes, which include 4 ounce, 6 ounce, 8 ounce or 10 ounce from strong to milder brews. Only a few commercial coffee makers offer the option to drain and remove water from the internal hot water tank for storage. Less than a minute.

Brand: Keurig

👤The K155 is a quality material and impressive-looking coffee machine. The most common fault I've read in the reviews is addressed. The machine has a metallic taste. This is easy. It's a brand new machine, and I would hope that it's $200+ price tag is correct. This is something to expect in its initial use. To clear the taste, wash the reservoir with warm water. Just below the Max line is where you should fill the reservoir. White wine vinaigrette should be added. Allow the mixture to sit for a while. You can brew coffee without a K-Cup. When prompted to refill, refill to max line with plain tap water. The water should be completely poured through the machine. When prompted to refill, rinse the reservoir with warm tap water. There is a refill with water. Enjoy your coffee. Coffee gets better and better after this method. There are four brew volume options. I realized after being clever that the coffee flavor is noticeably weakened. My experience shows that a single K-cup should not be larger than 10 ounces. Coffee grounds-in-filter-brewed coffee is more expensive than the good ol' coffee grounds-in-Keurig. You sacrifice convenience by choosing the less expensive coffee machine. There is no need to measure out the grounds-to-water ratio or worry about clean-up with the K-cups. You would be sacrificing the practicality of maintaining a set of different flavors of coffees. If you want the different flavors of the old-fashioned method, you have to purchase several large bags of different flavors, which can lose their freshness over a short period of time. Coffee grounds can be purchased in an assortment of different flavors, from which you can choose to brew within seconds. There is a lot of value in owning a machine like the K155. It has a large water tank that can hold up to 10 cups of coffee per fill up. I have not found refilling to be inconvenient. I don't get the feeling that I just filled up a few hours ago from cheaper models. It's solid, by comparison to less expensive models. When you add a K-cup and close the latch, you get a sturdy and secure piece of equipment, no longer feeling like you may break it. The water can remain heated while the machine is on. Great for a quick cup of joe. The screen is beautiful. This is something that will impress you and your guests as it is very eye-catching and responsive. A light touch is all that is needed to select your brew, then press the large button below the screen to brew in a cup. The way a cup of coffee was intended, the temperature of the water is perfect. Hot, but not from your tongue. It was heated with a Starbucks level of care. This model can be installed onto your water line, which will allow it to fill with water. The optional $180 plumb kit is required for this convenience. The included reservoir has not been a problem to refill in my home thus far. I might consider investing in the plumb kit if I were buying it for my small business. I can't resist the urge to brew a cup of coffee because it is so beautiful in my kitchen. I'm attracted to my coffee machine. I think my coffee consumption has increased since I bought this machine. Why only 4 stars? 5 stars indicate perfect. This falls just shy of perfect as it doesn't guarantee me a lot of time with it, but it does give me a chance to try it out. If I could, I'd give it a 4.5 score, but that task is for Amazon to improve.

5. Keurig K55 K Classic Coffee Programmable

Keurig K55 K Classic Coffee Programmable

The internal testing of BUNN Speed Brew/ Velocity Brew coffeemakers was used to make the determination. The most popular k-cup Pod brew sizes are 6 and 10 ounce. The strongest brew can be achieved with the 6 ounce brew size. The 48 ounce water storage allows you to brew 6 cups before having to refill. The water is easy to refill. It is an important part of cleaning your brew. The process helps to remove calcium deposits from the coffee maker. An auto-off feature can be programmed to turn off your coffee maker after 2 hours of use. You can brew a great-tasting cup in under a minute with simple button controls.

Brand: Keurig

👤Some of the posts on here are about the brewer stopping working. I bought the first one and it quit after 2 days. The replacement stopped working after 2.5 weeks, so it's likely not to make coffee. If this happens to you, the problem might be that the piercing needle is plugged with debris or coffee grounds. The unit stops when it senses excessive back pressure. To remove debris from the needle, one needs to open up a paper clip and put a piece of wire on either side of the needle. The unit worked well after that. If you call them, they will send you a device to clean that port as well. If your unit stops short of filling the cup, try this first.

👤This was purchased at the end of October and died on January 13th. What is that? 2 1/2 months... The units are unreliable despite using filters and non-tap water. We're stuck because 'product support' ended on 12/28. I don't recommend buying these anymore. It's impractical for what you get in return, one cup per Pod and the trash that this creates. This isn't the first time that one of these units has failed in less than a year. There was an update on Dec 15th. After this review, no one from Keurig has contacted them to ask if they could help. I guess they don't care. This review has helped a few of you so that is good. I bought another k-cup brand at Bed Bath and Beyblade, and the descale light came on after 4 months. The light is still on after I descaled and 9 tankfuls of water and white vinegar. Nothing changed after I plugged it in, rubbed my tummy, and patted my head. After this one is over, I'll need a percolator or a drip maker. Those never quit!

👤Pay attention to the reviews. My wife and I bought one of the original machines a long time ago, but it died on us last year. The machine was purchased in March of last year. It is starting to fail a year later. The pump inside is failing like other reviewers have noted. It starts making weird noises and then produces a cup of coffee with a quarter of the largest setting. It won't be a K-Cup maker. I don't have time or money to waste on a brand that compromises quality for a few extra bucks on their profit margin. K-Cups are expensive. Maybe it's time to go back to regular loose ground coffee and use a brew that can do single cups or fill a travel mug.

👤In August of last year, I purchased this appliance. Have cleaned the unit twice. Every day we make 1 cup of coffee and 1 cup of tea. It is early January and it is not working. The unit seems to be blocked and only 1/2 cup of beverage is available. It still doesn't work after a lot of remedies on You Tube. The reliability of the coffee makers is terrible. A friend has bought at least four in the past couple of years. One didn't have hers for more than 6 months. The units are not cheap, and the corporation should be aware of that.

6. Keurig MultiStream Technology Dual Position Customizable

Keurig MultiStream Technology Dual Position Customizable

A complimentary starter set of Nespresso Vertuo capsules is included. Multistream technology extracts more flavor and aroma in every brew. The Original Donut Shop Coffee K-Cup Pod is from K-Classic. You can brew a stronger cup or brew hot over ice for iced coffee. There are multiple brew sizes: 6 to 12 ounces. 66 Oz. Optimal counter space can be found in the perfect position. Re refilling is easy with theremovable reservoir. Coffee is made in minutes. No need to wait for the second cup to be reheated. Travel mugs can be up to 7” tall.

Brand: Keurig

👤I didn't get many videos or reviews when I bought the K-Supreme. I would have liked to have waited. When I put the water in the Keurig, it wobbled a bit. I moved the coffee machine a bit to get a better look and the whole water storage area tipped to the side. There is no water in it at the moment. I am shocked. My older Keurig had a way to snap the water side in to place. It sits on the side of the coffee maker. There is no place to hold it in place. If you don't move the Keurig, the reservoir will wobble. I don't know if the K-Supreme Plus is built the same way, but how has nobody complained about it? I wanted to use this machine but now I'm afraid to. I guess I'll have to return it.

👤I liked the look of this coffee maker, it has a large water tank with a handle that makes it easy to fill, and it turns on automatically when you put in a k-cup. In less than a month, it stopped working and didn't work again. I ordered the same one from Amazon after I thought it was malfunctioning, so I sent it back. This one worked for less than a week. I don't think this is a good idea as a gift. I am a stay at home mom and have gone through a lot of Keurigs. I drink a lot of coffee, but previous machines lasted longer than a week or a month. The price of this one is not cheap. I have the K-Elite and so far it's working well, so you might want to get that one, my daughter has had it for a while, so she's had it for awhile.

👤The coffee was great when we used this coffee maker. It was better than our previous one. A cup of coffee was started this morning. The power light came on and the water started to flow. Lifting and closing the lid was not easy. The power button was tried to start. The coffee maker was unplugged. Nothing worked. There is still no power. Checked the power to the wall receptacle and it was fine. The coffee maker would "reset" if it was unplugged for 30 minutes. Nothing.

👤The extra money for MultiStream is not worth it. It's a marketing tactic to get you to spend more money. I love my coffee and don't notice a difference between it and my regular one.

👤I was very disappointed when it did not work with the eco-friendly type Pods. There is no coffee flavor in the water. It works well with traditional plastic K-cups.

👤I have had the K-Supreme for a week and I like it more than the OfficePro I had. The Supreme is very fast. I like the way the water can be placed on the left side or in the back depending on the counter arrangement. I put my mine on the side to make it easier to remove and refill.

7. Cuisinart SS 10 Premium Single Serve Coffeemaker

Cuisinart SS 10 Premium Single Serve Coffeemaker

The single cup k-pods are compatible with any brand of single cup k-pods, including the Keurig K-Cups. Enjoy multiple beverage sizes. The HomeBarista Reusable Filter Cup is included in the machine, which allows you to create your ideal size of coffee, hot cocoa, tea, or soup with cup-size settings ranging from 4-12 ounces. The backlit display sets are designed with superior function in mind, with features such as an auto on/off switch, temperature control settings, and auto-rinse to instantly clean inside your brew chamber. There is a 72 ounce water reservoir and a tray for travel mug compatibility. Absorbable filters: A coffee filter and a water filter are included.

Brand: Cuisinart

👤I am so glad that I bought this coffeemaker because it was stepping far outside the box for me. I've been using K-cups for years, but after the third machine quit on me, I stopped throwing good money after bad. Their machines have become unacceptability due to the decline in quality. I settled on this one because it was the best cup of coffee I have ever had. I don't like the auto shutoff feature because it takes a long time to warm up the K-cups, but this one makes a delicious cup of coffee in under a minute, and it doesn't take long to get to hot coffee. It is a marked improvement over my previous coffeemaker. If you're like me, you're trying to find an alternative to the bi-yearly purchase of a single serve coffee maker. You're welcome.

👤I bought this model because I thought it would look better and have some improvements. NoOoooooh. The new design is terrible. Coffee is all over the place. Here are some pictures of how it splashes coffee onto the back of the unit and onto the kitchen counter after just one use. I didn't think of the mess after a week's worth of brew. Constantly cleaning is what this means. The K-Cup was dripping from the needle hole when I threw it away. The previous model did not use K-Cups because it made a smaller needle hole. The brew tastes a bit watery. The mechanism for pulling up the lid on this new design feels a bit awkward since you first lift up on a spring loaded lever. The K-Cup is upright on this model. The previous model has a loading mechanism that moves the holder so the K-Cup is facing you. The older mechanism is better than the cheap feeling one. I like the blue light on the previous model. The light was removed for some reason. The new model has a worse design. The plastic cage holds the filter closer to the water intake than the previous model. This one has a cheaper feel, and a smaller water reservoir. There are no changes to the programming options. I think that the new model is the result of financial engineering by the managers of the company. This missed opportunity will hurt Cuisinart. I'm hooking up my wonderful classic.

👤Initial impressions were that it was less heavy than the previous one. The blue lights in the water were a nice indicator that the unit was on and they cast a light that was pleasing to the eye. The water temp. is determined by theHOT and XHOT. XHOT is much hotter than the 192* setting on the SS700 and that is a plus. It is only a possible improvement. The upper and lower jaws of the head were moved which caused a problem later in the unit's life, either crushing through the top of the K-cup or creating a hole. This is simplified in the unit, and I hope it eliminates crushing. Coffee grounds went everywhere when the 1st K-cup through the machine had it's top seal blown off. There were no problems with the second K-cup. The cradle for the K-cup allows for the K-cup to wobble, which may have been the problem. Time will tell. The unit will be returned to Amazon if the seals continue to explode. 3 stars for now. The machine has performed perfectly since the initial review. The brew is faster than the SS700. 5 stars.

8. Breville BDC450 Precision Brewer Thermal

Breville BDC450 Precision Brewer Thermal

The Breville Precision Brewer Thermal is a coffee maker with a thermal carafe that allows you to brew third wave specialty coffee at home, automatically. You can experience your favorite coffee at its best with preset modes that include Gold, Fast, Strong, Iced, Cold brew and My brew. Coffee maker with precise digital temperature control, 3 different flow rates to maximize contact time, and thermo coil heating system delivering water that's more pure than typical brewing systems that use aluminum are some of the features that make this coffee maker unique. The Breville Precision Brewer Glass can adjust the water temperature and brew time in Gold Cup preset mode. Breville's patented Steep & Release valve holds the water in contact with the coffee when small cup volumes are being made without the glass carafe in place. My brew setting allows you to create a coffee that is floral, fruity, and so on to match your preferences, and it also allows you to set parameters like bloom time, brew temperature, and flow rate to suit your coffee needs. The Flat Bottom and Cone Filter baskets are included with the dual-FILTER BASKETS.

Brand: Breville

👤There is a 1.5 year update. The carafe is leaking. Breville doesn't have a replacement. They told me to call back in a month. I got tired of the mess around the pot that requires daily cleaning before it got leakier. I'm not happy about not getting a MochaMaster. After owning this for about 15 months, I really miss my old Cuisinart carafe that could keep coffee hot for hours. 50 minutes of hot coffee is all you get. It makes a great brew, but can't keep it hot for long. This aspect has been disappointing and I'm changing it from 4 stars to 3 stars. The original review can be found below. Coffee snobs are checking in. This machine is great. It fills a niche. Since most of the other reviews focus on aesthetic and build quality, I'll address the coffee it makes. The snobby auto-drips only have cone filters. This is the gold standard of coffee. My wife wanted something with a timer to accommodate early rising guests. I'm a teacher at a night school and have nothing better to do in the morning than drink coffee, and you should see the size of her to-go mug she brings to work! A girl can do both. This machine is the only one that offers SCA standard coffee and has a larger basket and tank to yield 12 cups. OXO has a 12 cup, SCA certified auto-timer auto-drip, but if you read the reviews, it looks very problematic. The setting is gold. Perfect temp, fast brew. Warm your carafe with hot water. The pump is quiet and it can brew 8 cups. Any novice could get a great result if they grind quality beans fresh with a decent grinder. They include a scoop to make sure you don't get your proportions wrong. I like to use the "strong" setting when grinding for 12 cups. It's not like a drugstore coffee pot. It gives the water more time to drink. It is still a fast brew. The quality isn't as good as gold, but it's still good. Coffee has a rich flavor, cups are ideal, and it tastes great. The SCA certified 12 cup brewer has a timer. If you can live with an 8 cup machine, there are cheaper alternatives. If you want to pay more, this is the one. I am not a fan of the thermal carafe. My old appliance kept heat better. I have a carafe made of steel. I got the "descale" notice on Day 25. I live in a mineral-rich area with very hard water. I descale once a month. The descale notice doesn't stop the coffee maker from starting. I keep an eye on the machine for mineral build-up, but I can't really watch the pump.

👤I grabbed it because it suddenly went down to $199. I'm with other reviewers who said "Adios forever, K-cups, and good riddance" after I tried it. It makes a delicious coffee. The controls are easy to set and intuitive, so I gave it a try without reading the manual to see how easy it was. It makes the hottest coffee I've ever had. If I'm making a full pot, I use the 208 temp to keep it steaming hot for hours; smaller pots use 205 or less. There is not a lot of difference. I have to wait a few minutes before I drink because it is so hot. I use the "My Brew" setting most often because it seems to me that the faster flow rates are too fast for best extract. I use a bloom time of 30-60 seconds, depending on the coffee, and it makes a stronger brew. Sometimes I use the Gold setting, which has a shorter bloom time. "Strong" is a setting I use a lot. If you're using a unit that brews differently for each, you should change the filter setting to "cone" or "basket." I've made a few bad pots with this. Too much coffee or ground too coarse. Sometimes it's just bad coffee period, cheap stuff from the supermarket that even this great machine can't make tasty. I've tried a lot of things with this unit, but most of the time, I start my day with a steaming hot cup of coffee. There are a few quibbles, one of which is that $300 is too much. I refused to pay that, but it is worth more than $200. There are two more The pour-over attachment should have been included. The move to charge $35 for that separately was very tacky. There is a coupon in the box for a free one that expired a long time ago. You can claim it isn't alive on the web page. Adding a cone filter attachment without a permanent filter was a slap in the face. You would expect to get everything you need to instantly take advantage of all the variations it offers, but they leave you with a couple things to open your wallet for again. I docked a star for those annoyances, but they didn't ruin the purchase for me. I like the thing. The reviews exaggerate the loudness of it. If you put the coffee maker on your bed pillow, it could cause a problem if you sleep next to it. A small amount of water remains in the tank after a brew. It's not an issue. If you use the thing all or most days of the week, the little bit of water won't go stagnant or become contaminated. I've read reviews where people returned it for that reason alone, which is ludicrous. It could be a problem if you travel a lot or don't use the machine often. Oh, siddown. 1) If you travel a lot, you should empty it before you leave. It takes 2 seconds. You can have a pleasant trip without worrying about the water in your coffee maker. There are two more If you're buying a machine that's expensive but not using it, then a small amount of water left over in the tank may not be your biggest problem. Something else to worry about has some significance. The thermal carafe has 3-4 hours of good flavor and heat. Coffee will lose a lot of its flavor in that time. It's better to leave a glass carafe on a warming plate for that length of time, and then have to find a new one. Time is the enemy when it comes to coffee flavor. Being a little lazy and a slow sipper, I'll sometimes let it sit in the carafe all day. After 4-5 hours it is no longer steaming, but still reasonably tasty, because the lid is TIGHT. Not one drop spills while pouring is the best thing about the carafe. That is worth a lot of money to me because of all the leaking carafes I've experienced. It's a machine that's easy to program and use, and it makes a delicious coffee. The Medelco permanent gold filter is a perfect fit for the cone attachment. The mesh basket filter that comes with this machine is the best I've seen, and I prefer to brew under the cone filter. I only use it for cups of 12 ounces or more. The grounds have been thoroughly soaked, no dry spots, even if the reviewers use a magnifying glass to scrutinize them. Nothing is perfect. The shower head on this unit has a good dispersal and you can easily remove it for cleaning. I don't use paper filters because they weaken the coffee and make it less distinctive. No question, permanent filters give you strength and flavor. I like my coffee strong and I drink it black. Don't drink the last gulp because there will always be a bit of sludge in the bottom of your cup. There was an update after a couple of years. I don't use this much anymore. I don't regret the purchase, but I got tired of the cleaning involved. I stopped using the carafe completely for that reason. The basket needs the cone filter and the cone filter adaptor in it. The basket's plastic inside stains, too, so I have 3 large pieces to clean every time I make a cup. It does make more coffee than my machine, but it's easier and quicker. One time the showerhead attachment fell off at the start of brew and ruined the whole brew of expensive coffee, so now I'm paranoid about that happening again every time I brew. Illy coffee can't be used in this if it's preground. It overflows the basket every time and there's a lot of grinds in the cup. If I buy whole bean and grind it myself, I can only use Illy if it's available in my area.

👤The machine was great for about four weeks. The frother kept giving me an error message. I went through the routine to get rid of it. This happened for days. Customer Service told me to do a factory reset after I called. That didn't change anything. I began having trouble with the brew. The time before the procedure became long. I think the machine has a pump problem. A replacement was arranged after I called Customer Service again. I had a replacement unit 10 days after I got it. I was supposed to return the first one. They sent me the more expensive Touch, which was a mistake. When I called Customer Service again, they told me I had to send the Touch back first, and then we could start the return process. The machine has been out of service for longer than I thought. I'm a frustrated customer.

👤Do your research! The Barista Touch heating design is causing problems for Breville. The brew temp of my original unit from Amazon was only 145 degrees. The brew should be around 200 degrees. I contacted Breville and arranged for the exchange of a new unit, which they assured me had design changes to address the problem. The brew temp was achieved in the same range. I was told by Breville to return the product. They hope most people won't notice that they haven't addressed this issue. Don't spend your money on this machine until Breville can solve the brew temp issue.

👤The water filter used by this brewer can only be ordered from Breville. The cost is more than double the cost of their other machines. Not well supported!

👤Good design. It wasn't warm enough to get a good pull. Not very user friendly. I got the express instead.

👤I have owned the Barista Touch for a month. I was a little bit frustrated when I first heard that it would make great espresso out of the box. The machine makes it possible to make drinks at home, but there is a definite learning curve that must be overcome. In the process of learning how to adjust the grind, dose and extract time for the beans you select, you will waste a bag or two of coffee. If you want to get expert advice on settings, extraction and which beans will help you get the best from your machine, you should go to a store that sells and demonstrates these machines. I am really enjoying this machine. The milk frother makes it easy to make great tasting drinks at home and I am getting consistent shots with great taste. My daughter used to be a barista. I am starting to experiment with new drinks and recipes. The Barista Touch is very good. I have owned this machine for over a year and use it daily. It works great and I still recommend it.

👤It makes great coffee. Looks like it. It doesn't take long to make a great coffee or espresso if you get the hang of it. You need to pour espresso into a larger cup for a latte or cappuccino if you want it to fit in a normal coffee cup.

👤It's been a month since we've had this, but it's probably made 400 cups of coffee for us and our 3 teenagers. We decided to invest in a machine like this because of the reason. We went from a $130 espresso machine with a manual foamer to a Ninja drip coffee maker side by side to this guy. I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to write up some initial evaluations on this. The milk foaming system was the reason why we chose this one after 3 solid days of research. No tubes for the milk to travel through means that it can't sit and be gross. You can open the whole thing up once a week and clean it all out, so you don't have to worry about the built up grounds. My husband has a calendar that says you're supposed to lubricate the pump once every 2 months. The overflow and puck trash bin pieces are dishwasher safe. Love that. It feels clean. It felt a little overwhelming at first, but it's very easy to use. Our 8 year old makes our coffee. 2 coffee and 2 foam, thanks. Once we showed them the way to make foamed milk to add to tea, our younger girls loved it. The coffee. It's my cup of choice. The espresso is good, the coffee is good, and the cappuccino is good. There are three levels of milk, coffee, and foam, so it's quite a bit of personalization. There is a neutral area where I have to comment on the coffee beans, which many people have commented that you can't use oily beans. They will have a hard time going down the hopper. Oily beans are not good. If you're investing in an $800 machine, don't buy oily beans that won't taste great, and do yourself a favor. We've tried a lot of different types of beans. We will keep trying different types until we find the one for this machine. I will not put that in the "cons" list. The buttons are a little difficult to push. You need to get them in the right spot for it to turn on. It was a bit annoying before the first cup of coffee. There were a few times when I was scared. It was a sad moment before I found the sweet spot. The top of the milk container has a lid that rests lightly. There was no rubber lip to keep it secure. You have to take it out of the fridge every time you want to make a cup in order to keep it from being knocked off the kitchen tile floor. It's thin plastic and it's going to get busted soon. It seems like it should have been securely seated on there for the price. The machine runs water out at the start. We keep a mug there to catch the water because it's a decent amount. The tray holds a bit of water, but by the time it is shut off, it's full and you have to get it to the sink without spilling it. Wait for the "trash water" to be ejected before putting your mug under. Put the "trash water" mug under the sink to catch the clean water when you're done. At the moment, that's all I have. Maybe month 2 will change my views, but I think the "cons" are pretty minor and we're pretty happy with our investment.

👤I don't usually post comments, but felt that others needed to know about my experience. I've owned many coffee makers. This will be my last. I bought the DCC 3200 in August of 2016 We clean our coffee maker regularly. The black finish of the warming plate started to oxidize after 6 months of use. It was replaced for free by the manufacturer. I had to pay 1/3 of the total purchase price to ship it back. The warming plate was badly damaged and the surface was white with spots. I stopped using the coffeee maker for fear of starting a fire. I had to pay to ship it back again after it was offered a replacement under warranty. I requested that Cuisinart pay for return shipping after the issue happened twice in a year. The supervisor that I spoke with refused to listen. The product and customer service was disappointing. I am aware that some products may have design issues. Own up to it. If a customer wants to return a faulty item for a second time, they should not pay for it. I will not buy another product from Cuisinart.

👤I ordered the coffee maker after doing a lot of research. My personal experience is mostly positive, but it is mixed with the negative reviews. The plastic smell is mentioned in some of the reviews. It was only for the first few pots. It's gone after the first few. How fast it makes coffee. It works well for me. It was done before I knew it. It's got a lot of nice features and it makes coffee that's hotter than any other coffee maker I've ever had. It's the only one with this capacity in this price range. I use in-machine charcoal filters to make a good cup of water. I picked up a pack of these filters at the store. They work well. They are less expensive than the Cuisinart brand ones. I couldn't give it 5 stars because of one reason. The coffee pot doesn't work if the lid isn't enough to open. When you reach the end of the pour, you have to be creative. Is that a deal killer? I didn't think this coffee maker was 5 star worthy because of the minor annoyance. This is the best coffee maker I have ever owned. Can it be for this price? I'm very happy with this coffee maker and I'm sure you will as well. 3 1/2 months later, it has stopped working correctly. The water is not completely empty. The unit will start clicking and chunking sounds at the end of the cycle. The maker will make a series of beeps, but there will be 4 cups of water left in the reservoir. I only use water that has been cleaned. It's the only water that's ever been made. I make about 6 pots a week. I have to change the little charcoal filters. There is another thing to note. There is a lot of steam coming off the machine because it seems to be boiling off a lot of water. The underside of my cabinet has been ruined by this. Do not put this unit under a cabinet. When I am making a pot, I pull it out from under the cabinet. It appears that the maker needed a good cleaning. All kinds of lime chucks came out of the solution I ran. After that, it worked again. When the machine says it needs to be cleaned, clean it. It knows more than you do. It is part of Skynet. 4 months after purchase. The warmer plate has a black coating. This is disappointing.
