👤The product is very nice. It is easy to use and operate. You will have a strong plastic smell. Keep the tray submerged in a hot soap water bath for a while after washing it. Rub alcohol on the inside. For 20 minutes, run the fryer without anything in it. Put the little lid on it and then put your food above it. The smell went away after I used lemon juice.

👤Live. In assisted living. The facility. Not fond of the menu. So. I bought it. For the price, it does what it says. I have done that. Hot dogs, veggies, and bone steak in to. You can't rely on the recommeded time, so just look it and test it. It was nice for what I wanted.

👤The Chefman is 888-282-0465 is 888-282-0465 It's a good choice if you don't have enough storage space for those big units. It's easy to use. After washing out the basket, you put the plate in, preheat the food, and then run the unit with the food using a timer. I put in two dredged chicken thighs after setting the temp to 400 F. I cooked them for 30 minutes. It was perfect. Were they fond of fried chicken? Not quite. The skin was clean and crisp. I could detect a floury taste if I had lightly sprayed the chicken with oil. The meat was very juicy. The format is small. Light weight Cons: you only have to hold for one or two. There were thumbs up. Cooks well.

👤Next to my rice cooker is my best friend! I don't have to heat up the house while I heat up the oven because of the broken air conditioner. The size is great since my husband passed away. I found a pizza for one in the freezer yesterday, and it fit! I was skeptical about these things and watched and read more about them. I got one after breaking down. I dislike waiting for food to cook the most. My waiting time has been halved. I love it!

👤They are out of the air fryer, and out of the box, and out of a quick spray of cooking oil. Dinner time is so good. I prepared delicious frozen mushrooms with all that deep fry oil and excess fat. I am happy I bought it and would consider another. They only come in black. I would love to have one in Almond or Dark Green.

👤The electronic chemical smell was so overpowering that it was impossible to use it. The food would have tasted bad. I tried to burn off the smell, but it lingered and my home smelled like it had been there. I don't know if it put food in it. I would assume that I had a faulty unit since some reviewers said they didn't have odors. The tech support was helpful when I returned.

2. Instant Vortex Plus Rotisserie 10

Brand: Instant Pot

👤I bought this item because of what it has done to my life. I had a great time cooking and experimenting with frozen food. The rotisserie was my favorite feature, but it wasn't turning right the second day. The rotisserie is made of plastic and rubber that melted.

👤The smell was so bad in December that we had to open the windows in the kitchen and the vent fan. This is a common problem with this item.

👤How can I cook anything in this? I roasted it for 20 minutes and the smell lingered in my house for three days. I thought maybe something needs to burn off and then it will be okay. I will try again, it stinks up my house with a toxic chemical smell. What the heck? It is loud.

👤Many reviews said the smells were like burning plastic. They are correct. The food has a bad taste. Don't buy this product. I'm trying to return.

👤The first air fryer I owned was a small Gourmia. It was fine, but not much. The pan had vent in it that made it hard to hold soapy water. I bought a second Gourmia that had more capacity and a pan that could hold soapy water. I've been using my air fryers for a lot of things. It's quick, easy to clean, and if it isn't as good as a barbecue, that's more than offset by the convenience. It's better than a microwave for re- heating a slice of pizza. While waiting for a new car radio to be installed, I came across the Instant Vortex Air Fryer at Best Buy. I didn't like the Gourmia, but I thought it would be worth buying even if it was only slightly better. I love this thing. One review pointed out that it has two cooking trays that can be used on three levels, and it cooks a lot hotter on the top level than on the bottom. The other reviewer was disappointed, but I think this is a feature. I cooked sausage patties on the top level and they came out dark and well done, but without being burned. They would have been fine on the bottom level, but not as dark and not as warm. I've always air- fried scallops on a tray, and they've always come out brown on the top and bottom, just like you'd get from a barbecue. They came out golden brown all over when I air- fried them in the rotating basket. They looked more elegant than they tasted. I like the Instant Vortex air fryer and think it's an improvement over the two Gourmia models. It's easy to use and easy to clean, with features that are better to justify the higher price.

👤We are returning it. It is loud. Louder than my microwave. The touch screen doesn't work well. I have to hold the buttons down. It has a burning smell and tastes like rubber. The smell spread throughout the house. I tried to burn off the smell, but it was still there. The machine makes my kitchen very hot. It was hotter than using the oven. Customer service didn't help at all. Very disappointed.

Brand: Chefman

👤The air fryer is junk. I replaced the air fryer with this because I was looking for one that was easier to clean. The Chefman electronics failed after less than 10 uses. When you power it on, it will run for a second time and then reset, but never get any further. I assumed it had a longer return policy than most items on Amazon, but when I returned it it only had a 30 day return policy and it was day 33.

👤Don't buy this air fryer. It works for a while, and then dies. I didn't do my research before buying it. It is a common issue with this model. I sent my fryer back to Chefman more than 6 weeks ago, but I still haven't received a replacement. Don't waste your money on this product, do yourself a favor.

👤The chefman gave up after 3 months. I have reached out to customer service multiple times and have not received any help or updates. It was not worth the money for a product that failed so soon.

👤The Chefman air fryer we used daily for cooking, baking, and reheating leftovers died about a month ago. I assumed it was too hot, unplugged it, waited a while, and plugged it back in because it had no power. I assumed it tripped the circuit, so I tried a different outlet. I've tried contacting customer service and using the warranty to get a replacement, but have not heard back from Chefman. Chefman never got back to me after they responded to my initial emails. It has been several weeks. I can't recommend this product.

👤This appliance was my favorite since I got it. Last week it stopped working. I've asked a question about their customer service contact info because I can't find any on the Chefman website. I'll update this post if I have a good experience. I hope they will help with this because the appliance is not old enough to fail. This thing is so exciting for me. I already have the air fryer lid for a big brand pressure cooker, so I knew I liked air fryers. I already have one that does more. My thoughts are: It holds more food than other air fryers. It also comes with a rotisserie basket and a rotisserie spit. It's much easier to use, for example, the buttons for specific types of food is convenient. I don't have to get up to cook halfway through because I can throw food in the basket. It will be nice to be able to bake items with this, since I often use a full size oven to cook things. I love that the accessories are all dishwasher safe, and the dehydrator feature is an added bonus that I'll have to explore more. It takes a lot of space on the counter, and it's a bit loud when operating with the rotisserie spinning. The larger size is part of the reason you get this thing to begin with. I don't think this device is any louder than any other air fryers with similar functions. I love this thing. I'll be using it a lot in my kitchen. I would definitely recommend it.

Brand: Instant Pot

👤I am a fan of Instant products in general, particularly the Instant pot which has served me well for many years. I was looking for a large basket air fryer after reading about this. There are three things that don't work for me. Not all may matter to you. This air fryer uses a non-stick surface on the basket and tray. The air fryer gets very hot without oil. It can be harmful to people, but it is also toxic to birds and small animals. I have a parrot in the house. The smell of hot teflon was unmistakable when I ran a test before I realized what the surface was. Instant brands said on their website that the product is not safe around birds. Good corporate ethics, no sugar coating. The water got in the front portion of the basket after I washed it. The basket is supposed to be dishwasher safe, but I only washed it and there was no way to clean the area after the water got in. It was dried with streaks. The fit and finish is good. Some of the details have problems, but it looks good out of the box. The application of the trim is wavy and peeling out of the box. For a new product out of the box, I would expect better from Instant. The unit seems solid, the controls seem to work well, and the basket size is very nice for a family of 4 or more. I wish it was a keeper. I would love to see a version with ceramic, cast iron, or both. I would buy that.

👤We have been using the Ninja Air Fryer for a long time and recently upgraded to the Instant Vortex Plus with OdorErase. The Ninja was an upgrade from the Vortex. The air fryer has a sleek design, a light that turns on when the door is closed, and a clear glass front to see the food. How quiet did I mention? Is it true? The Ninja was much louder. I was very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to others.

👤My wife left me with the kids while she went on vacation. She bought me an air fryer to show her appreciation. The trade off was worth it. We've made every meal in this thing: bacon, sausage, french fries, broccoli, salmon, etc. The wings are easy to make. The boys like to see the food being prepared. If you're looking for a quick, easy way to make great food for your kids, this is the one for you.

👤I already have so many small appliances that I didn't want one more. I do a lot of cooking that takes a lot of time and I wanted an air fryer. My sister in law got a fryer and said that it cut her cooking time in half. I have used it many times. I eat a lot of veggies. It usually takes 45 min in the stove or smart oven, but this took 15 min and was a bit over done. I am amazed that it can cook so quickly. My favorite thing about it is 1. The design is very nice and sleek. The food is being prepared through the little window. It is very easy to clean 4. If you keep the basket out too long, there is a different sound. I would have liked to have gotten this a long time ago. I don't have anything bad to say. If I will, I will update this review. Highly recommend it.

👤I run a teaching kitchen and am a chef. I have 2 full size gas ovens and 1 full-size electric oven. I wanted to have a back-up so that students wouldn't have to take up a lot of space. I bought this oven in December and have been working on it so that I know its strengths and weaknesses so I don't have any surprises during cooking classes. After using it a few times daily for more than a month, I highly recommend it. It is easy to use and big enough to cook a large roast or chicken. I didn't want that kind of clean up so I didn't get the one with the rotisserie. This one is easy to clean. I slid a piece of foil under the bottom elements and pulled it up when it was dirty. The door and window are easy to clean. If you are cooking for two, it is a great oven as you don't need a full sized oven for a small meal. It gets a little hot in the back so I shouldn't be put under low cupboards. There is a The roasting pan that comes with it loses its non-stick finish a bit too easily and mine is only 75% covered with the original coating. I have used foil to cover it. Problem solved. If I run into any problems, I will edit this review.

👤Woah! Where should I start? I love this oven. I already own an air fryer that my kids and I are very fond of, so I was a little skeptical. Since using the oven, we have not thought about using a stove, oven, or toaster. This is convenient. You can control this device with a VeSync app. It's so easy to preset your oven. You will need to manually start cooking if you want to set the cooking preset, temperature and cooking time. This was a hassle at first, but I have a 9 year old who loves to fix food. Being able to set the temp and time was a plus. She was able to place her food in the oven without the risk of it being too hot. When she was ready, all she had to do was press start. The app has suggestions for your oven. The Sweet Chili Shrimp looked just like the picture we tried. And it was enjoyable as well. My family and I loved doing the custom recipes. My favorite recipe was for my famous steak. You can save your cooking settings, ingredients, step-by-step instructions and a picture. You can control the light in the oven with the app. It has a voice control feature so that you can control it with your voice. My favorite bonus feature is by far. You can give your oven a nickname in the app. Our oven was named "BoB". We are able to control "BoB" when using our devices. When using the Voice Command feature, you can turn the device on to start cooking. A wire rack, a food tray, and a fry basket are included in the packaging. Do not worry if you don't know which accessory to use. The preferred accessory depends on your cooking task. There are three different levels in the oven; one on the top, one in the middle and the last at the bottom. You can see which level to cook your food at on the outside window of the oven. So helpful! Now it's time to cook! The food we have made here has been incredible. We use the oven, stove, air fryer or pressure cooker in our house. Since using the Oven, we have only used the pressure cooker. We were able to make a pizza and cook a steak. Steak is my favorite. I am an expert on my cast iron skillet, but cooking steak in this oven was 100 times easier and the steak was packed full of flavor and juicier than I could have ever imagined. The preset have worked well. It has taken my family some trial and error to perfect each setting, but that has been one of the perks of this oven and all of it's features. We have been able to modify the settings to our liking. Our family is a big fan of ordering pizza and wings, but now they love getting together and making their own pizza, wings, and we have even made parfait, something we would have never thought of doing prior to having this oven. Cleaning the oven is easy. We use Dawn Ultra Platinum Powerwash Dish spray to keep the oven looking new. I highly recommend this product. Even your children can operate it.

Brand: Cosori

👤The air fryer seemed to work well. Quality built. There was a nice feature set. The addition of the bottom heating element should speed things up a bit and provide more even cooking. I didn't know that the bottom heating element was the Achille's heel. Since it sits below the basket, anything that drips into the basket, like bacon grease, is going to burn off. This happens before the food is ready to eat. It isn't from a "neglected to clean it, and it has built up a bunch of grease in the bottom" scenario. If there was a way to change the bottom element for such scenarios, I would be happy with that. I can't find a mention of turning off the bottom element in the user manual. This is not going to work. Many things are being cooked. That is supposed to be an advantage of an air fryer. Excess fat drips away and then burns into your lungs. Returning.

👤The bad boy was fired up today. I can't say anything else. It is easy to use and clean. Chicken wings took just short of 30 minutes to cook and banana chips took 20 minutes to make. I put them in the air fryer and pushed the chicken button, all I did was dry rub them. 20 minutes later, it was done and perfect. There is a It was simple to setup and connect to the app, which is really nice to have. There were tons of recipes in the app. The machine is worth more than I paid. Enjoy quick healthy cooking if you get one.

👤The air fryer is great. It is easy to clean. The voice of the internet is supporting. Quiet working.

👤I didn't own an air fryer. When I wanted to cook a lot of food without the smell and oil, I read about a bunch of them. I can't believe how well air frying works with this model. It gives me about 80% of the crispiness I liked with fried food. The taste is amazing. If you are new to air fryers like me, the usefulness of this appliance is like a person who grew up heating everything in the oven or on the stove and then getting a microwave. The paradigm shift is very serious. I'm really impressed. I'm not sure how other air fryers work. I put some olive oil on top of the fish and chicken and put it in the tray on the grill. I didn't have to turn it because it was dual heat and I didn't want to cook things over half cooked. If you over load the tray, you will not be able to taste a difference in crispiness. I'm not sure if I'm more impressed with how well air fryers work or if it's just that this particular model is so good. It's a good thing.

👤I decided to check it out after reading a lot of reviews. The ability to connect to my phone and voice commands via the internet makes up for the fact that the preset is not something I would use on a regular basis. Does this fryer do the job? I'm blown away by the flexibility of the design. The larger unit with dual blaze technology is great for small or large batches. I'm eating baked apples and oatmeal. It was a chicken and vegetable mix last night. The basket is dishwasher safe, but it's easy to clean up with soap and water. This is worth every penny. I'll check back in six months, but I don't think I'll have much to say about this unit.

7. Cuisinart TOA 60 Fryer Toaster Silver

Cuisinart TOA 60 Fryer Toaster Silver

The premium 1800 watt toaster oven and air fryer has a wide temperature range and a wide range of functions. There's a problem with civility. Large enough to toast 6-slices of bread, air fry 3-pounds of chicken wings, bake a 12-inch pizza or roast a 4-pound chicken. There is an operation called the super IOR. The meals are cooked to your perfection with the help of a toast shade timer, an auto-shutoff, and a timer thermostat. Also included: The unit has an oven light, oven rack, baking pan, air fryer rack/basket and is easy to clean. Quiet operation. Refer to the user manual for questions surrounding warranty policies and the product is free.

Brand: Cuisinart

👤I was hesitant about buying this unit because of the 1-star reviews. After using this unit for a few weeks, I have to assume that there was a large number of faulty products sent out, or that some people have unrealistic expectations of a toaster oven/air fryer. I've always had a kitchen accessory that I've had to learn about, and that's the toaster ovens. This one is less than I've owned before. It cooks quickly. Very fast. This one cooks in less time than expected and you need to watch it carefully because it is much less cook than you thought. As we learn how it performs, that should change. It's best to fade back a bit from the recommended times and temperatures in their manual and recipe book. This thing is powerful. Chicken wing drumettes is my favorite dish. I cook my buffalo wings in peanut oil deep-fryer, then dip them in sauce and dry them in the oven. They look like I pulled them out of my fryer when I cook them for 10 minutes on air-fry. My wife says they are even better. Traitor! Garlic toast and English muffins seem to be more moist than any other oven. I've used before. There are frozen french fries and shrimp. She did some fresh zucchini wedges that were going to be boring, but they turned out to be awesome. We love it so far and are looking forward to experimenting with it for a long time. Over the years, we've had a lot of luck with Cuisinart appliances, and in the few times we had problems with them, their customer service people have always treated us fairly. If it blew up tomorrow, I would buy it again.

👤We have been using this since February of last year. We love this unit. It's a staple in our kitchen. This airfryer uses convection, so I wanted to make a note of it. The temp may be dropped on your packages instructions. This is not a suggestion. We usually drop the temp from 50 to 25 degrees. If your fish sticks, cook it at 425 and then put it in at 375. The review needs to be original. Just buy it. The reviews that complain about burning food are not following the instructions. If necessary, remove the lower tray from the rack. The temp settings are appropriate. To dial in, you may need to experiment with something. We cook chicken nuggets for the kids at 400 and then airfry them in 6 minutes. That leads to the next thing. If you put the first line on "10", you are actually doing 15 minutes, and probably why you burned your food. We have used this product almost nightly since we got it, it is one of the best kitchen products I own.

👤This unit has the largest surface area of any I've found, larger than any of the other units I've looked at. It makes some delicious food. The trays are more durable than the air fryers I used, because the coating on the pan was coming off after only 3 uses. I gave it 3 stars because I debated whether to give it 2 or 3. There are some serious drawbacks. Quality control is the first thing. Only 2 of the 4 upper heating elements worked on the first unit. The outer 2 are enabled on some settings, such as broil, so that appears to be at least somewhat normal. The timer was set to 10 minutes, and you get 14. You get 24 if you set it to 20. It was like that consistently. I returned it on these grounds. The timer on the replacement is 6 minutes long, but it only takes 15 minutes to get you 21. This is consistent. The label on the timer clearly had a large gap between 10 minutes and 0, and this seems to be a design defect for the entire unit. People complain about the unit being too hot. It is possible that the timer's inaccuracy would cause people to think that. The replacement unit doesn't sit quite still on the counter. The service from Cuisinart. They couldn't tell me the difference between bake, broil, and air fry. They promised to have a new timer at my door in 7 days. When I call, they only say that the warehouse is processing. It could take weeks for "processing", and it could take up to 7 days after that. They lied to me, saying the warehouse didn't have a phone and that the number on the Internet was theirs. If you're wondering about the different settings, here's what they do: bake both bottom elements and outer two upper elements, broil, and air fry, all 4 upper elements only. Three of them have a fan on high. The bake and broil have the fan on low, but are otherwise the same. Don't buy this for the warranty. It's so slow that it's indistinguishable from not existing. Buy it and a timer.

Brand: Cosori

👤I don't like cooking. I don't like the mess. It takes too long. My cooking is not as good as it looks in the books. I got the Cosori Air Fryer a couple of weeks ago, and I've been happily cooking every day. It's ready to go when you pull it out of the box. The basket and pan are all that was needed to clean them. The buttons are easy to understand. You have a snowflake for frozen foods, fries for fries, bacon for bacon, and also preheat and keep warm. I wasn't sure what to expect when I turned it on. I wondered if it was going to get hot. I thought it would be loud. It wasn't those things. It does get a little warm on the outside, but not hot like an oven. You need to be careful when you pull the basket out of the fryer because it's deceiving that it works so quickly and gets food that hot that fast. I wouldn't call the air moving noisy. When the air fryer is running, the air fryer hears me and my voice is heard by the Alexa. The air fryer doesn't get too hot or spit at you if I didn't have theAlexa there. The air fryer is on my counter. It's become a conversation piece in my kitchen. I had family over the weekend, and they wanted to know what it was. I put on a kitchen demo, and everyone stood around and watched, then ate all of the food, and then they said they needed an air fryer. I've tried the included recipe book and a recipe for chicken fried steak in an air fryer cookbook, but they were not the same. The cookbook included in the Cosori air fryer has a picture of the recipe with it, and the ingredients are not intimidating to those of you like me who don't care for cooking. I like that most recipes call for ingredients I've heard of and probably have in my pantry, which is a good thing for me because I hate going to the grocery store for random ingredients. The first recipe I tried was sweet potato fries. I probably could have left them in the air fryer a bit longer than the recipe called for, but they were still delicious. The best sweet potato fries I've ever had. I bought some frozen okra in the freezer section and threw it in for fun. I put the olive oil in the water bottle and just pushed the button on the air fryer basket to cook the okra. The okra came out very nicely. It had gone from frozen to crisp in a matter of minutes. I could tell the ones I had missed when I sprayed the okra with olive oil. The white ones tasted fine but were weird. I bought a pressurized oil sprayer can that is specifically for spraying olive oil, and it works better than my plastic water bottle. My third recipe is chicken fried steak. This recipe was not in the Cosori cookbook. I wasn't sure how it would turn out because the cookbook didn't have a picture. I've cooked it twice in three nights. The entire meal was cooked in the air fryer, including sweet potato fries, okra, and chicken fried steak. It felt like an elaborate meal with little time invested, and my kitchen was not a disaster after cooking all of that. I only had a few plates and a couple of bowls that I'd used instead of pots and pans and baking dishes that were piled up on my counter with a greasy stove to clean. I tried the cheese sticks the next day. Baking soda was used instead of cornstarch. Did I mention that I am terrible at cooking? The mozzarella sticks worked well, but not great, which was probably my fault. They crisped up quickly. They were not like the picture in the recipe book. The cheese would have been better melted on the inside. The inside was not really melted and it seemed like the outside was really bad. Even though I used the wrong ingredient, they weren't bad, so I'll give it another try. They were still good despite not tasting like mozzarella cheese sticks. I used the included cookbook to cook the grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids. These did not turn out as expected. I used the right ingredients. The cheese wasn't as squishy as it would be if it was cooked on the stove. The recipe called for double the amount of cheese would be perfect if I had done that. The bread was not brown. It was difficult to melt butter on the stove, brush it onto the bread, and grate cheese before putting it into the air fryer. It was fun to try a grilled cheese sandwich, but I can get one in a pan quicker. I will try the recipe again with more cheese. I think I can make it better. I tried the pizza from the recipe book. I did not use pizza dough. I like to eat pita bread. I followed the instructions as if it was pizza dough, which means preheat the air fryer, brush your crust with olive oil, and then put it in the air fryer at 320 for five minutes. Then you add more. I put pizza sauce on my pizza. It's done if you put it back into the air fryer for another five minutes at 320. It was great. I'll make another for lunch. I had to cook one at a time because I couldn't fit the two pieces of bread in the basket together. The cookbook that comes with the air fryer has a recipe for coconut shrimp. The kitchen would normally be filled with a lot of mess, but there was only three bowls to dredge the coconut shrimp and then a plate to put them on. When you preheat the air fryer, you pop the shrimp in for eight minutes. I'll add more coconut in my dredge next time because they were very tasty. I couldn't really taste the coconut in the recipe. I've never tried a new recipe in a cookbook, but I keep picking out new ones. I've included pictures of the fried steak, pizza, grilled cheese, and coconut shrimp that I've made so far. You have to get used to cooking in batches. I wanted to make four chicken fried steaks, but there was only room for two. It's not a big deal. You can cook in batches. I had to make three different pizzas since I couldn't fit all of them in at once. Two grilled cheese sandwiches fit into the air fryer at the same time. The cookbook that comes with the air fryer is full of pictures. There are more than 100 pages of recipes. For example, you can find recipes for stuffed french toast, BBQ bacon, ribeye, meatballs, fried chicken, crab cakes, wings, pigs in a blanket, french fries, onion rings, roasted corn, cheddar biscuits, cinnamon rolls, pound cake, and orange. Without the cookbook, I would be lost. It tells you which button to press on the air fryer, so you can learn how to use it while you're actually cooking, instead of having to read an instruction manual cover to cover. After using the air fryer, I didn't have many dishes to clean. The air fryer is easy to clean. Everything just falls off of it. I'm barely cleaning it. I wash it in the sink because there's nothing left on it, even though the description says it's dishwasher safe. I like how I can put soap on it to make it clean and ready for my next recipe. The water beads on it, so it dries quickly. The air fryer has only one negative, my impatience with one of the controls. The temp/time can be shared with one button. If you have a recipe that requires you to adjust the temp or time, you have toggling the button. If you need to change how long to keep something in, you hit the temp/time button again. I keep hitting time when I mean temp and not temp. When you pull the basket out, the air fryer cuts off because there's nothing in the bottom. When you put the basket back in, it will be the same temp and time settings as when you put it out. It would be great if it remembered your setting. When I had to make pizzas in batches, I had to run the air fryer for 5 minutes for one crust, then 5 minutes for the next, and so on. When I pulled a crust out, I had to reset the time and temp. I began to notice how bad I was atggling the temp/time button. The time/temp button being shared and the air fryer not remembering your last time/temp are minor drawbacks. The air fryer is my favorite kitchen appliance and they're the only negatives. I don't have any experience with an air fryer, so I have nothing to compare the Cosori air fryer to. I did my research. I read the reviews, watched the videos and crossed my fingers that I was buying the right one. I couldn't have picked a better one. I'm excited to cook for the first time. French toast sticks will be on the breakfast menu tomorrow.

Brand: Ninja

👤I turned it off immediately and haven't used it since... hope to hear from the manufacturer soon. I've been going back and forth with the Ninja customer service team for the past 2 weeks and haven't come to a conclusion yet. I would take out another star from the review to make it 0 stars. I did not hear from Ninja customer service for more than a month, but I got a full refund after talking to Amazon.

👤I have been studying air fryers for about two years. Counters-pace vs basket size was the subject of the decision. The stand mixer takes up more space than the ninja. It's easy to pull out from under the cabinet to use. I would love for a bigger one to do my entire meal at once. For two people, it does a fair amount of food. The bang shrimp came out quite tasty after I reheated them. Steaks were moist and medium rare, but not cooked on the plate. It works well with salmon and chicken breasts. It's much easier to clean a pan than a stove top. It cooked the chicken, fish, and tater tots in 10 minutes. Less time than a microwave. The Ninja is $200 less than thePhillips, but it doesn't come with grilling or baking accessories. Nuff said.

👤I followed the instructions for cleaning the basket and crisping tray when I unboxed it a few days ago. It has filled my home with a horrible smell of burning plastic and has been used five times. The plastic smell is stronger if you sniff the basket after cooking, because it doesn't look like any of the plastic parts are melting. I think the coating on the basket is releasing the toxic smell when heated. They claim it is ceramic, but I don't think so. It seems to cook food very well. If you don't mind having a headaches from breathing fumes and eating every meal, then get this.

👤The fryer has been in use for 2 weeks and hasn't stopped yet. I wonder how I've lasted this long without one. I am not getting paid by Ninja or endorsed by them. One of the Ninja products blenders I've owned is over 10 years old. They make machines. If you're a lazy cook, this fryer is a life saver. I've been researching air fryers for the past few months and nothing compares to the Ninja. The basket size isn't large enough for the larger fryers, but it cooks quickly and you won't miss the extra quart. It comes with a multi-layer rack, a recipe book, and a crisper. I made wings the first night. I will never buy fried chicken again. They tasted better and were that crisp. I fried chicken in 10 minutes after buying the Louisiana fried chicken flour from Walmart. No greasy mess, no 3rd degree burns from hot oil, and your house doesn't smell like a chicken joint for 4 days after. The Ninja uses a ceramic coating on their fryers, so the clean up is very easy. I made sweet potato fries. I put a bag of frozen babies in the freezer for 10 minutes. They were better than Mcdonald's. The procedure for making homemade fries was too long. You have to peel, slice, soak, dry and cook the potatoes. The air fryer has been cooking nonstop in this house. I hit the internet to get some recipes and it's been there ever since. The fryer has a feature that makes it fast to cook. Is it frozen chicken wings? No problem! They're defrosted after 10 minutes in the fryer. I've cooked pizza, fries, wings, reheated food, and baked a chocolate cake. Everything came out perfect. Next up is donuts. The only thing I don't like about this fryer is that it shuts off after 30 seconds. This is a safety feature. I always have more to cook. I have used my microwave twice in the last 2 weeks to make coffee. I did cinnamon rolls as well. It takes 20 minutes in the oven for Pillsbury ones. If you like them brown, you can watch 8 minutes in the Ninja. They would be perfect if I stopped it at 5 min. My house smelled like a factory. I'll be making beef jerky soon, but I haven't used the fryer yet. I am very happy. The price was the best selling feature. The Ninja is a bit larger than some of the bulkier fryers, but it fits under my cabinet nicely. I'm happy it only used 1500W, unlike some of the larger fryers that burn 1800 which could kill your light bill. The outside of the fryer doesn't get hot, so you won't have to worry about getting burned, but take caution when taking your food out. Is it loud? The exhaust fan on my stove is louder than the Ninja. The extension cord is long so you don't have to worry about being limited in where you can place it. I think I have covered everything. This thing is very dangerous. If you're wondering what cookware you can use, just about anything you put in a microwave, you can put in the Ninja. I went to the Dollar Tree and bought some foil pans. You should grab some tongs so you don't scratch the surface of the fryer. A kid getting a new bike for Christmas is what this thing has been like. You will be happy with this purchase. Happy and healthy cooking!

Brand: Dreo

👤How to pick a good air fryer? A good air fryer is a convenient appliance that you can use to make traditional deep fried foods without having to worry about the calories in the oil. An air fryer is a small oven that cooks food quickly and evenly by blowing hot air around it. The DREO and the Ninja are two good choices for an air fryer. The two provide a lot of value for the price, but they perform differently when compared. The two air fryers are quite different. The Ninja has a small front display that can be adjusted between temp and time, while the DREO has a beautiful top display that shows the time and temperature. When you pull out the basket to check the food, the DREO shuts off the fan. The DREO is whisper quiet, whereas the Ninja is much louder. The Ninja is larger than the DREO on the counter. The ultimate test of any cooking appliance is its ability to create food. Here are the results of the tests I did with several foods. The secret to a good steak is getting a nice sear on the outside while leaving the inside tender and juicy. The results from my first pass were ok, but not great. I started taking temperatures at 6 minutes after running both air fryers at 400. The Ninja was already at a medium-well temperature. The DREO ran for 8 minutes. The steaks were disappointing, but I remembered that the DREO can go up to 450, so I made another pass, and ended up with a better steak. The DREO won this round easily because the Ninja has a lower temperature range. I usually roast Brussels in the oven for half an hour. The air fryers cooked these up in less time. I set the air fryers to 400 for 15 minutes. Both of them were done at the halfway point. The Ninja was over done. I think the Ninja is harsher on the food. The DREO had better results for this dish. Chicken and Broccoli is similar to steak in that you want a good sear. You want to cook the chicken all the way through. I am happy to say that both air fryers produced delicious and juicy chicken in about 8 minutes. The DREO and the Ninja had great results when the broccoli default time was 300 for 10 minutes. I think this was a tie between the two air fryers. The dehydrate function is an interesting feature for both machines. The Ninja comes with an extra rack so that you can lay out two layers of food to dehydrate, making the most of the small space in the 4 quart basket. The bananas were very sweet and tasty after 10 hours. I would call it a draw between the two air fryers. Chicken Wings was the ultimate test. I keep my deep fryer because I make Buffalo chicken wings. A signature of deep frying is its juicy, tender meat inside. I used the DREO chicken wing preset for 20 minutes. The Ninja can't select 380 because it changes in 15 increments, so I used 490 for 20 minutes. The final results without and with sauce. I did a follow up test with the DREO after I wasn't entirely satisfied with the results from the Ninja. I cooked this drumstick for 20 minutes and then finished it at 450 for 3 minutes to crisp the skin. I did not repeat this with the Ninja because it can not go over 400. I am pretty sure I could put away my deep fryer for good, because this was much closer to a wing than a deep fryer. It can be hard to choose the air fryer that is right for you. With a few days of use, it is clear that the DREO is the better option over the Ninja. The sleek design, quiet fan, and consistently better results make it a clear choice between these two, and it's retail price of $89.99 compared to the Ninja's $119.99 offers way more value.

Brand: Ninja

👤The air fryer is very good. It's better built, works well, and cleans up easily, and the Ninja brand has a lot of respect, so I think it deserves more than three stars. I have been spoiled, and there are several things that I upgraded. It has to be warm. There's no alert when food needs to be turned or shaken, but it does need to be done. Food doesn't cook as evenly as in the others, which may be related. I found that Ninja's suggested cooking temperatures and times are a bit off, and that it was better to use the usual rule of thumb to use a temperature 25oF lower than recommended on food packaging, and 80% of the recommended time. It has close temperature gradations, which is a plus, but the range of temperatures is quite small. It's tall, which could be an issue for people who don't have much counter space. If I could, I would give it three and a half stars, but I still think it deserves more than that. I would like to thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful.

👤My wife got it because she wanted it.

👤I bought this item because I loved the one I already had. This was not the same as my original. The basket was missing. I returned it. The item I found was the same quality as my original.

👤I did some frozen tots today. I scaled it back by at least 5 minutes and did the preferred 20 minutes, which made them extra crisp, but for people with sensitive teeth, it may not work out so well. It is loud when in use, like if you were standing next to it trying to have a conversation. It is loud.

👤Air fryers are small ovens. There's a basket to hold the food, a heating coil above it, and a fan to blow the hot air around. If the oven in your house has a fan in it, you already have an "air fryer". The rest is just hype. Maybe you don't already have an oven. Maybe you have enough space in your kitchen to fill it with more appliances. I envy you if it's the latter. If you're not careful, you'll end up with a redundant appliance. Does it work? I suppose it does. I've tried a lot of things, like chicken wings, chicken breasts, tater tots, french fries, and even a couple of sandwiches with it. The unit is not even in terms of cooking. It cooks very quickly around the outside, but the center lags behind. To counter this, the manual suggests moving things around in the bin every couple of minutes, and/or adding oil to the food to help it cook more quickly. It is difficult to move the food around every few minutes, but it may work for larger items. I can't even cook french fries. The first time, I sliced up a few potatoes, sprinkled some salt, and made sure to mix them up every couple of minutes. They were still even because with a bunch of potato sticks in there, some in the middle will stay in the middle, and some on the outside will stay in the outside. After 20 minutes, you get charred fries, nicely cooked fries, and some that still bite like a potato. I lightly coated the potato sticks with oil, but I ended up with the same problem. The tots and wings came out just as good in the oven as they did pre-cooked. I wanted to try the okra in the air fryer to see how it compares to deep fried okra. They came out pretty nice, though still not as good as the fries, but they were lightly tossed in a little oil before cooking. Not as good as deep frying, but still worth doing again. The chicken breasts were skinless so they dried out too quickly. The air fryer does what it's supposed to do, but as a whole they're not the magic device that everyone seems to want them to be. It's only "healthier" when you're replacing a deep fry. The bag's instructions suggest that the tater tots should be in the oven, not the air fryer. Are you cutting the potatoes yourself? The air fryer is a better way to deep fry them than a vat of oil. Did you purchase a bag of french fries? Those were already fried. There's no health benefits to air fryers cooking them in an oven. There are a few things missing from this air fryer. A better display. The existing one is terrible. It shows you the time left. If you change the temperature, it will show you what it was before, and then you can go back to the beginning. I want a display that shows more and I want to see it all at once. I want to see the end. If you add more time through the cook, you might lose track of how long it's been running. The target temperature should always be there. Some of the recipes say "preheat to 375F". How do you know when it's at the right temperature without a display? -- A better controller. The cheap buttons are behind the thin plastic film. The film is going to break after a while. I know what the pressure cooker is going to look like in a few months when I look at the buttons with the cracked film on them. Why? Give me real buttons! -- The container. It's nice, but the bottom half of the air fryer comes out with the plastic and handle permanently attached. It's difficult to deal with. Why couldn't there be a liner that slides out for cleaning? If this were one of the cheaper air fryers out there, I could probably excuse its cheap button panel, lack of features, and even the fact that the cooking is not even even. It's not. This air fryer costs at least $50 more than other air fryers on the market, including ones that have even more features like delay and preheat options, and it's not the only one.
