This has to be one of the cleverest little gadgets around at the moment. The socket simply sticks on a window via a strong sucker attachment, the mini solar panels then absorbs the sun’s energy and harnesses it into the internal battery. Meaning a regular plug can then be inserted, with the device achieving enough power to run small appliances or alternatively it can be stored for a later time – perhaps when sockets may not be available. The the perfect solution to recharge an ailing smartphone or tablet. Not only is this free energy, it is also an environmentally friendly way to recharge devices or create your own renewable energy; albeit on a small (but useful) scale. The designers responsible for this device are Kyuho Song & Boa Oh, currently there doesn’t appear to be a release date or price for the product available. Really looking forward to seeing this clever piece of industrial design come to market.
